Great food and drinks, a good variety of options. Plenty of gluten free options, absolutely lovely service. Very cute.

The coffee is hot and delicious, and all the food is amazing! Especially the blueberry muffins. Jessie and Emily go above and beyond in service and always have a smile and kind word, and it is very family-friendly.

Very popular with the locals, great service and very welcoming. Everyone will know your name and/or your dog's name if you go frequently enough. Kids friendly too, a great spot whether you are meeting with friends or family.

This is a review for the pho. It's new on the menu. I've yet to find any authentic Vietnamese restaurants where I felt the pho was done as it was overseas. The Burbs have it pretty solid. While it's not the most pho location, I mean, I felt bad eating as you ought to eat any ramyeon/noodles, with the slurps, while the lady next to me was picking away at a quiche ... But damn. If you need a good pho fix. Here you go.

My Mum and I enjoyed our visit there. We share our dishes normally and they were very accommodating. Nice, cozy, little cafe tucked away. Food was lovely.

Great selection of meals. They serve Allpress Coffee; great coffee. They also have a selection of Storm & India tea, which I only ever have tried at East Day Spa. Such great tea. The customer service is absolutely amazing at this place and this cafe is a hidden gem, but when found will make you want to come back for more. The food is always tasty and delicious and I can see why the place is always busy when I go.

Good coffee and really nice cabinet food. Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and good service. A great little neighborhood local.

I love, love this cafe. It’s local to me and so I have visited often. The staff are great, the execution of the food is outstanding and the coffee is always perfect! The pho is great too and perfect in winter. It’s a short walk from the Snakes and Ladders park and the fabulous Pakuranga Rotary Walkway. You won’t be disappointed. Follow them in Facebook to keep updated on their menu and hours.

Great coffee, best kid's fluffies and lovely staff!

This have got to be the worst cafe in Auckland. We paid $9 for a "fresh homebaked" pie only to receive an old pie that was heated in the microwave. A soggy ball of oily dough with tasteless filling. Never again.

I love how this cafe is tucked away in the little corner and is a little hidden gem. We ordered the Mince on Toast and the French Toast. The flavours were delicious, the service and ambience was great (especially with the owner's dachshund and other locals who bring their puppers here for a morning coffee). Unfortunately I don't think the amount of food you get is worth the price you pay - but this us just my opinion. Both of our dishes were relatively small and it wasn't quite what we were expecting, but overall I had a pleasant experience :)
Food - 3/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 4/5

It’s ok coffees for the price could be larger food is average it’s handy for my friends who live around there but not really for me .... It’s just OK ....

Very friendly place, nice and quiet location.

Coffee is nice and strong which is how I like it! Had the bacon eggs bene with potato hash, wasn’t really potato hash however it was more of a mash. Apart from that it was nice & filled the gap.

After all the good reviews, thought we would try it out. Husband's omelette was great. I ordered the club sandwich . Well what I can only describe as finger size pieces of bread about an inch and a half wide was put in front of me .to call it a club sandwich is a bit of a stretch .I would have been embarrassed to serve it .my advise , scrap the club or make them value for money

I love coming here when I want to stay somewhere close to home for a quick bite. Food is always good and staff are always friendly. A kid friendly cafe as well.

By the looks it looks like fancy as well as high quality place to eat, didn't order any food there, just takeaway coffee. Personally 5$ coffee for that area is a bit too expensive, while everywhere else you can get a large one for 4.5$. Place has very modern and artistic interior with a little bit of ald day taste.

Found this place on Zomato and visited for the first time. Amazing coffee and food and would come back here with my friends, was a good experience.

Good service and selection. Quite a few healthy, nourishing options. Good coffee. Lovely atmosphere with seating both inside and out. Lovely to have such a nice place in the area.

Great coffee 🍵 Good Flavours but no special coffee notes because they use typical ALLPRESS beans, but still better than a lot of cafes out there! Worth trying.. 👌 Haven't tried their food, but coffee wise, it's not bad. 👍

Casa Tua at Farm Cove is now closed & its neighbour, The Burbs, becomes the only eatery in the area. We had a chicken omelette with grain toast & a sausage roll with a little bit of mixed veggie in it. Food was better than average and coffees were hot & nice.(Food - 3.5/5; Service - 3.5/5; Ambience - 3.5/5)

Lovely cafe out East, for those around the area. The menu is simple but sufficient having all the staple brunch food.

We ordered the Benedict, the chicken omelette (yum!) and the creamy mushrooms. My toast on the mushroom were too hard, as though it was over-toasted. But maybe it is meant to be that way to go along with the creamy sauce.

Coffee wise, they serve allpress and their cup size are slightly bigger because I did not see the tulip cups. However my cappuccino was nice and fluffy :)

Cute local cafe in farm cove! The food is yummy and the portions are good! Coffee is also really good too. Staff are always friendly when I go in. Definitely recommend if you live in the area! :-)

This is a really nice cafe, staff are friendly and the food is yum. Allpress coffee is served here. Its quite a small little space but cosy. No complaints! 😊

The fluffy was amazing and my little boy was very pleased with it. Great little cafe out east and the staff are all very friendly. The french toast was delicious and from what i heard the calarmari was great too but slightly on the smaller size.

I stumbled across this little place while going for a walk in the neighbourhood. The coffee was excellent but what really surprised me was the the chicken omelette....large with generous, tasty chicken and mushroom filling. Definitely want to come back and try the rest of the menu.

The breakfast and the service here was spot on! Loved the coconut French toast! Dying to go back and try it again, the compote was too sweet though. Very child friendly and outstanding service!

I had heard about this place online and convinced my partner to go before Christmas. We have had some bad experiences with cafes in our area. The place is lovely light and airy. Our drinks arrived minutes after we ordered them and the hot chocolate was so good I had to get one for myself! The food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was excellent and the portions were so generous there was no way we were leaving hungry. The price of the eggs benedict seemed a bit steep but the smashed avocado was very reasonable. The service and quality made up for any concerns. A welcome edition to our area.

Decided to try this cafe after reading a good review in Canvas magazine and we were sure glad we did. The service was warm and efficient, the coffee station really efficient and the food fantastic. The eggs benedict has a rosemary hollandaise and is served on a homemade hash brown. This cafe is tucked away in a small farm cove shopping center and very well worth the visit

Having lived in East Auckland, i was excited at the prospect of a new cafe in the area. I ordered a green tea and the coconut and blueberry french toast whilst my friend opted for the brioche in the cabinet. It was a little eerie when we first arrived as the cafe was empty at 12 on a Saturday afternoon and no music playing in the background. We sat by the door, however, this was a mistake as when people did start to arrive, the constant wind chill hit me, although probably my own poor seating choice. My friend and i enjoyed our fragrant teas, however he found the brioche dry and underwhelming. I enjoyed my french toast, albeit the blueberry preserve was very sweet and thick. Upon finishing my meal however, my friend informed my that my teeth were stained blue! It took three rounds of brushing and mouth wash to even make them a slight semblance of white again! I seriously wonder if people have complained about this because I couldn't go out anywhere after!

Absolutely delicious! I met friends there for for lunch, having never visited this cafe before. The smashed avocado was amazing! My friends loved the couscous salad and they mentioned the coffee was the best they have had in a long time. Well done The Burbs! We will definitely be back.
p.s. Service was spot on!

New fave local, just a walk up the road from my house so thought I'd try it out. Coffee is too die for, Avo Smash was beautiful even my 17 Month old son loved it. Staff were inviting and catered to my needs. Definitely will be back, next time bringing the partner :)

Who would have thought, great coffee in the Burbs of Farm Cove! Loved it. Good food too in a fabulous, quiet, comfortable location. I figure if I lived here (and wasn't just visiting) this would be a regular spot for me.

This review is purely based on their ability to make coffees/mochas...We usually seek to find cafes that use Allpress coffee. When we found out this nearby cafe handles Allpress, we immediately visited.

When we parked outside, we noticed at least 4-5 people leaving the cafe with take away coffee. This immediately excited me as this demonstrated its popularity. I ordered a skim mocha and he ordered a flat white. Both tasted amazing! We didn't order food but I wish we had as the food cabinet looked very appealing and everything looked freshly made.

Overall, I must stress that its hard to find a decent cafe that make decent coffee. Therefore if you're in search of amazing coffee, definitely visit The Burbs!

Serving an all day menu, The Burbs in Farm Cove is another new addition to the growing trend of Suburban cafes in Auckland! Serving Allpress coffee with friendly service, The Burbs is worth a visit!

The Burbs is a nice addition to the currenly sleepy eastern suburbs cafe scene. The cafe itself is fairly small, but the modern interior and huge windows help to make the space very inviting.

I tried the Burbs when it was fairly new. Firstly, I was shocked at how busy it was in the middle of the week. The second thing I noticed was how friendly the people working there were.
You order at the counter so my friend and I grabbed a seat and had a look over the menu. To be honest this is where the Burbs lacks for me. The menu is fairly limited and much less adventurous than I thought a newly opened cafe would present. I chose the prawn tacos and my friend got the fettuccine. They were both large portions. My friends meal looked good and she seemed to enjoy it. Although my meal was tasty, I found it underwhelming and over priced.

No doubt the Burbs is going to be a hit out East. But I think I'll hold off returning until they roll out a new summer menu.
