Review Paradise Bbq Garden Restaurant - Auckland Central

Lan Nguyen
Affordable price for Korean BBQ buffet at Auckland CBD. The food seems to taste authentic (?) since I saw a lot of Korean customers frequent around. Not a lot of variety of beef/lamb/seafood and they are all frozen ones. But the seasoned pork/chicken are tasty. For the price that we pay, I don’t think there is anything I would complain.

$25 per person for Buffet. Fresh and succulent meat for bbq. Coooked meals are also available. Nice place, great service, awesome Korean food!

Your typical Korean bbq spots, still one of my favorites never the less. Their is no parking outside, you'll get towed away so you have to park on the side of the road off Hobson st which is free btw. The service is great always changing the grill when needed! Never have to ask they just come over. Would definitely recommend this place and I will come back again. Thank you!!

Great tasting food at reasonable prices, with helpful staff.

Love it. The staff are so friendly.. Food is delicious.. Go there and try it out..
Hey It's Tara!
Awesome food, cool staff, chill place! One of our favorite places!

This place is awesome, we have a few Korean BBQ places out here where we live. And we have tried many other K BBQ places in the city. They were also great. The food here is not of the highest standards, but the staff here is what always brings us back. We come here at least once a week. We love this place.
Kiwinado Oniondipperino
A nice small restaurant in the city with good value and a medium range of buffet options to choose from. First time having a Korean BBQ here and the kind server taught us how to make a super good dipping sauce. The grill plate gets changed often so you don't need to worry about getting it dirty. As usual in the city, finding parking is a bit tough.

Booked in for a farewell dinner (I think in about 2 weeks we had so many farewells but to different restaurants) This was a larger group of 25 people including children. Service was exceptional and friendly. The staff kept coming up to us and bringing different dishes to our table and showing the kids how to cook certain ingredients at the buffet station. What an awesome service. This is definitely somewhere you would take your family for a value for money meal - especially if you're on a budget. Im not much of a dessert person and although they were limited on this section, noone was complaining as everyone appeared full and satisfied. We have recommended to several friends who have dined there since then and they have also left impressed with the friendly service, the different variety of meats and cold dishes as well the experience of cooking your own meal in front of you whilst being able to enjoy the company around you. Parking was the only issue we had but they were kind enough to let us have one in their own private car park.

Excellent value for money, staff are warm and welcoming - we come here often! Meat is cut and presented fresh, not frozen. Hot plate is changed by staff every 20mins or so. Wide variety of banchan and other hot food. Great selection of soju, beer, soft drink, and even a sneaky self serve mocha at the end of it all. Top recommendation if you're looking for a Korean BBQ joint!
Foodie
Okay place, although have variety but meat looks stale and all soaked in soy. No labels for any food.

I would recommend this place if you fancied being treated like you were being paid to eat here. Or if you loved having people hang around your table to hurry you up so they can clear the table. Or even if you liked your plates cleared before you’re done. If you’re like me and enjoy being treated well because you pay money to be fed, you’re better off going elsewhere.
Khaleesi
This is hard for me because I am the least fussiest when it comes to K-BBQ but these things I just could not ignore. The banchan's were all old, soggy and not fresh. The meat, apart from the frozen beef was not fresh, the fish had a really weird texture after it was cooked. Smorgasboard was okay but all the meat dishes had the same flavour. We had our hot plate changed regularly which was good but weren't offered a jug of water but had to get our own after looking for it in the fridge. The place just felt icky and unclean. The utensils area felt dusty and sticky. We arrived when it had just opened so the place was quiet and empty.

Have been here a few times now. Went last night around 8pm (Sunday) and it was really busy! <br/><br/>We managed to grab the only free table and sat for a few minutes chatting before pre paying and buying some drinks. There was a lot of fresh vegetable sides as well as a good selection of my favourite meats and all the usual condiments. The pre prepared food and sides isn’t the best that I’ve had tbh and they do not have sushi or gimbap which I have seen at other places, they could also do with a more diverse range of hot sides. <br/><br/>However, I am not complaining. Every time I have been there the service is fantastic, friendly and accommodating staff who come and change the hot plate regularly and do not make you feel rushed with your dining at all. The best thing is that it is well ventilated so you do not get too hot and stuffy even with a full restaurant of people! For these reasons I rate a solid 5 stars especially considering the $25 price tag.

Food +1<br/>Service +1<br/>Ambience +1<br/>Hygiene -2<br/><br/>= 1 star<br/><br/>Firstly almost all the meat was lying in a pool of juice, all the "hot" food was cold. Hot chips, what were supposed to be chicken nuggets, spring rolls and squid rings were all on the same tray and we had about 3 squid rings and 2springs rolls the whole time we were there, didn't refill them at all. Plates and glasses were so dirty, literally had to go through so many plates to find a clean one to eat off. What put me off completely was when they went to change the trays of food and everything just smelt like old cabbage. That was it, stood up and walked out. Wouldn't recommend and will never be going there again.
Sue
The meat selection was below average , we didn’t know which meat was which and would have been nice to have labelling , mainly pork meat available and very very small portions. Was highly disappointed and most likely would not come here again. Customer service was lacking and were not attentive towards customers although they were nice people
Jack Tan
No good at all. And we think the food of this restaurant is awful 🤢🤢🤢I don’t have reason to come back. Hahahhaahhaahhahahahahahahahahahahha
William Gray-Tawhara
This is the best Korean BBQ Buffet in Auckland, Good Value for $$$$ Staff very friendly I suggest for a great dinner experience cooking your own this would be the place also have a variety of salads and they change quite often
Sophia Zhou
Was a clean and nice environment, but the meat really bought it down. Most of the meat was pork, and really didn't taste nice... For me I guess. Usually in a bbq, you would expect quite a bit of beef, but 95% was pork. A cheaper substitute for beef?
Vincent Fang
I didnt have a very good experience here, the foods were so standard, and there’s nothing I can say about this place. The place is pretty big, but the choices of the food are just too “little”
The Poor Foodie
Food: 3.5/5<br/>Service: 4/5<br/>Overall: 3/5<br/><br/>Seems like they have changed the owners of this place. The lady came to change the cooking plates quite often so that the meat wouldn’t burn and stick to the plates. Big variety of meat and cooked food available. The cooked food was quite nice and surprisingly the fried chicken and fish were quite nice. There was a coffee machine and my friends and I all loved the mocha:))<br/>I don’t recommend grilling the kebab because the cooking plates are not flat so it’s hard to evenly cook the kebab. And it would be great if they put labels next to the food so that we know what those are.

My sister, Brother and his gf, niece and myself came here tonight for the first time. Our first experience here was a good one, staff was super polite. We weren’t quite sure how to get a table, a staff came to us at the front door and asked us if we we were okay, we told him we would like a table for 5. He took us to the register where we first paid before eating, he then took us to our table. Since it was our first time here we weren’t exactly sure how the restaurant worked, till we saw other customers serving themselves so we did just that. Meat wasn’t so bad, especially for an all you can eat. Plenty of side dishes as well. I enjoyed my first time here. Tbh the best part for me was the kind and helpful staff, I’ve been to quite a few Korean restaurants and they only seem to take care and pay more attention to their Korean customers which don’t seem quite fair. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, I was very happy with tonight and perhaps may come more often 👍🏼 at the end of the night, staff thanked us. Even had a female staff from the back come and thank us right as we exited and said goodbye. Thank you guys for a first great experience at your restaurant!! ☺️

This should be the best bbq buffet in east Auckland. Very clean environment, a lots of spaces to seat, they offer bbq which already cooked, so you don't need to cook by yourself, it's easy and won't have bbq smell around you
Tony Shi
Fantastic value for money. Even better for group dinners. Large variety of meats and side dishes to choose from. Not the best quality meat but for that price its understandable.
Emily Gossen
I’ve come here multiple times for Korean Barbecue however the standard has dropped slightly since I first came. The selection of meats is limited and some of the side dishes aren’t that fresh- there was even a hardening layer on the rice cakes side dish which meant it’s been sitting there for a really long time, wasn’t appetising at all. This place still satisfies my KBBQ cravings however, and I like the side dishes they offer and dipping sauces. Everything is also in abundance and doesn’t run out which I’ve experienced at other KBBQ buffets. The staff are really sweet and friendly. They regularly replace the metal plate on the barbecue and the lady there is always smiley. It costs $25 which is a standard price for a KBBQ buffet in the city.<br/><br/>Food - 3/5<br/>Service - 4/5<br/>Price - 3/5<br/>Ambience - 3.5/5<br/>

GREAT PLACE. We had come in for a KBBQ BUFFET fix on a quiet Monday arvo and got exactly that +more ❤️ staff were lovely, greeting us upon entry and seating us at a table (close to the buffet. yes. lol). Food was soOoO good too. Couldn’t get enough of the japchae.. and all the other yum sides (SO. MANY. SIDES) as well as the fresh meat! Cosy and casual, felt super comfortable and was grateful to get a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. Will be back ASAP x

What i want is Justice. Not borrowed neighbors money, They scamed their town neighborhood and run away from their homeland. And have spent luxurious life more than 20 years with money made by fraud. Hope they must be judged by the courts. And pay off for victims.

This is one of those lovely little hide away places. The food tastes lovely but I was concerned about the hygiene and cross contamination (ie. The raw meats - chicken next to the beef with the tongs being swapped around). No matter, it didn't stop me eating. I loved the selection and spiciness of the sauces. The veges were fresh and crunchy. I would go back. <br/><br/>NOTE: I was meant to give this 2.5 but I couldn't change it.
Chris Kim
The owner of this restaurant has been accused of deceit. 20 years ago, he borrowed $ 2.6 million from friends and co-workers in his hometown, and did a moonlight flit, abandoned home country, Korea, and opened this restaurant in Aukland with the dirty cash. It's all over the news now. He is currently an overseas criminal! If you can enjoy food made from criminal, try~

I've been to a few Korean Bbqs in Auckland and Paradise BBQ has the most side dishes, I really enjoyed my time here. Customer service is excellent! The lady who was serving our table Sunday night went out of her way to make us sauces for our meat and give us tips on how to eat our bbq meats, thank you. Looking forward to my next visit
Jade Elia
Lovely Staff! Recommend 100%! Went with my family the first time and everyone loved it. Second time I went with my best friend and she loved it too!
Jenny Zhao
The lady was very polite and friendly. Always coming over to tell us there is new stuff that they’ve just cooked. The food also taste nice. Thank!
Calvin
<br/>pretty cool place, decent amount of meat options, I normally don’t eat anything but meat at kbbq but I really liked the fried chicken at this place. Whatsup with the time limit tho? we got 1.5 hours limit, i understand the restaurant gotta make bread but damn let me enjoy the food in peace. Also, the “dessert” section is the saddest looking little corner i’ve ever seen, they got sliced apple and some weird slices of very dry bread. <br/><br/>Food-7.5/10<br/>Service-7/10<br/>Aesthetics-7/10

Various choices and very yummy.<br/>Hoping there were more choices for dessert though, but overall, it was a very good experience. Will come back again for sure. Daebak!

Best Korean BBQ place I have been to. Great service & variety of meats. Staff are super friendly & always happy to help. Will definitely be back again.

To be honest, this place has excellent service hence the 2 stars but the food isn’t great. I’m a student so I saw on their menu in Zomato they have a discount for $20 instead of $25 but found out it was more than 2 years ago since they did that promotion and I was quite disappointed because $25 is a lot for a student. My boyfriend and I decided to pay for it because we were too hungry to go elsewhere. The food options was great if you are an extreme lover of pork. The food weren’t labelled so I don’t know what I was having but thankful the helpful staff pointed out what was what. I’ve tried most of the food they offered and all except a few tasted alright. I tried the squid and it was awful. It was really chewy and had a bad after taste. The fish tasted really bad and old. It was frozen and I have no idea how long it’s been kept frozen. The bacon also tasted a little weird and didn’t taste like the one I had made in the morning. However, the chicken was the only item that didn’t taste weird. Only item I enjoyed was the dessert and the chips. Before we left the manager gave us lollipops which was sweet of her. <br/><br/>If you prefer quantity over quality this is the place to be.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The food is satisfying and definitely worth the price. The location may be a little confusing to get to but it's just behind Denny's, in the small alleyway next to it.

Omg, I cannot wait to go back to Auckland and eat at this place again! A must go to place! Thank you to my aunty and cousin for sharing one of their many eat out places haha absolutely enjoyed and loved it here! Amazing!

New paradise used to be my cheap go to korean bbq. They had ample selection for a cheap price. After several months of hiatus i visited again and wasn’t impressed. The food quality has dropped and the staff are not at all engaging

11/10 ! I love this bbq resturant! Has great food, and great service! I especially love the Spicy Rice Cakes! Its the best! Its one of the main reasons I go there!
Natyo
This is my new favourite Korean bbq. You know this place is good when it's packed with families on a Sunday morning ! The meat variety is good, there is a nice range of hot food and the pickles/kimchi/banchan compliment nicely. The lady is super approachable and changed out hot plate when it started smoking - I recommend sitting by the door as there isn't much ventilation. AND I got a nice seaweed soup as it's my birthday ^____^
Mars
Very busy on a Friday night, so make sure to book in advance or come a bit earlier. Great variety, and constantly topped up so even if it’s busy, you won’t run out. Great sides and so much meat! Would recommend for anyone!

Lovely place nice service. Food is great and the place has a nice warm feeling to it. Been here a few times and I'm always satisfied never hungry again after i eat here. Great job.
Leetah
The price for children is ridiculous. $20 for ages 5-12 is highly overpriced! Owner didn’t want to negotiate. This was a let down especially that we were there for a family dinner.
Harmunny
For someone being exposed to eating Korean BBQ for the first time, this place wasn't too bad.<br/>Some general comments to make is that when grilling at this restaurant they don't have vents above the directly grill, but rather at the very roof of the room you sit in. This can kinda make the air a little smokey and also make your clothes smell :/<br/>The food was pretty good but I wouldn't probably consider it as being "the best", but rather a place to go if you just wanna meet up with some friends with a more casual/chill atmosphere<br/>Service: ~4/5<br/>food: (depends on how well you can cook tbh)<br/>atmosphere: smokey 💨<br/>Make sure you check with service about any allergies you may have!

I came here for my birthday, and found the service and food quality to be amazing! (Plus the unbelievable price of just 25$ all you can eat!) Firstly, the service was admirable, the people who own and work at this restaurant welcome you in happily. As my family were first time eaters at a korean bbq, they were always looking out for us and showing us how to really enjoy the food. Secondly, the food was great! Especially the seaweed soup was a hit with our table! 🤩 I have nothing but good memories from this place. Thank you for such a great experience!
Daniel Yep
Very good Korean BBQ buffet in Auckland CBD. Really enjoyed their pork belly samgyeopsal. I think some of the meats could be more fresh. Service was excellent. Good price $25 for all-you-can-eat. Definitely looking keen to coming back!
Brent Henri
Awesome place. Meats a little fatty but for $25 all you can eat. I love how I can bbq it myself and add my own sauces. Favourite place when I’m hungry and want a big feed.

A true hidden gem in the middle of Auckland! We love the BBQ buffet here for only $25 pp you get all you can eat meats and sides which you cook yourself. Given the price the meat isn't the best quality but once it's cooked it tastes amazing! Also byo so would be a great place to come & celebrate 😊

Came here last week with some friends for our graduation dinner on Friday. First time I've tried this place and it looked promising from the start. Sitting behind La Porchetta and next to the dinner, it's located where you actually don't expect it to be. It's actually pay first before you eat rather than the usual pay after you eat. Anyways the food was great, in a buffet style where you can actually cook raw meat. Now that is something I've never experienced before. With a different variety, I was willing to try them all out but I got a bit too full afterwards. <br/><br/>The service was brilliant, each time our element plate became dark and icky with burnt flavouring and seasoning, they would replace it with a new one. Not only that you can go for seconds, thirds, fourths or if you have the capacity then maybe fifths. <br/><br/>The place seems kind of worn out, especially on the walls. This probably indicates that they tend to have a lot of customers dining in and it is usually busy throughout the day and night. But by far one of the best buffets I've been to un the city yet.
Abbhindra2000
The meat was alright, there was a wide variety of meats to select from, however did not taste the best. The major letdown was that most of the food was cold! The fried rice, chicken and sweet and sour. Thing that should have been hot or at least warm were cold which made it tasteless. Friendly staff and good car park right in front of the restaurant. I had high expectations for this however, the cold food was a huge major letdown and lack of meat finished fast. Some meats were gone so fast which we had to wait 10 or so minutes before they brought it out again.
Luieey.x0
First of all, the service was great. They were super kind and everything but overall, the taste just wasn't there. The food that was supposed to be warm like the sweet and sour pork & the spicy rice cakes were cold to the point of us wanting to throw it all on the girl to heat it up. The meat wasn't great quality and wasn't as fresh as other places either. For 25.00 I expected better quality food.
Julie
This place is quite hidden, not a place that I would normally find and go to. The food was good, I like how they have my favourite sweet rice soup which I have only came across 3 Korean bbq restaurants in Auckland that has this because is so complicated to make. <br/>But with that being said I think $25 per person for the buffet is too expensive for the amount and quality of food they serve. If it is $20 I would give this place 4/5. But charging $25, I expect the food to be replaced when finished, which wasn't done on most. And we came in at midday, their buffet goes on till night and the lady told me it won't be replaced. The beef was so tough that my jaws hurt from eating a piece. And I wasn't happy how there's no marinated beef ribs which is what most $25 Korean bbq buffet restaurants has.
Brydon S
A good range of meats and side dishes to eat from. The main downsides of our visits are firstly, that both Zomato and their website is not up-to-date. There is no longer any student discounts, something which is advertised on both. Furthermore, two of our party decided not to eat the Korean BBQ and instead ordered meals from the menu. When their food came, the owner banished them to the other side of the restaurant because they weren't eating BBQ with us. This was both embarrassing and humiliating for them, especially having to watch them eat whilst sitting by themselves and not being able to sit and communicate with us. The staff are friendly on the whole. Dessert selection leaves a lot to be desired.
Gordan W
I had to pay $25 even though i had my student id? the food was average and the customer service didn't help. I had to sit in the most uncomfortable chair cause there wasn't enough seats.<br/>Won't be coming back again
Annie Wilson
Korean BBQ! It's quite nice with a large selection of meats. Downside is the fried and premade food as it's always cold and soggy. Parking is easy, you can park in front of the restaurant.
Emma Patricia Katili
This is now officially my favourite korean bbq place in the city. For $25 at lunchtime, this place has a wide variety of meat and side dishes. I especially love their pork belly and their kimchi.
Sonia
first time having korean bbq so wasn't sure what to have, do. but i must say what a great selection of meats!!! lots of side dishes and other foods. vegetarian option was also nice. good food, good customer service & friendly staff!!
Chanel Matamu
Food range is good. Plenty of meat and side dishes. Great service. Really friendly staff. Would definitely go back. Would also recommend to others.
Bryan Chan
Me and my mates come here quite often as it's the closest and cheapest eat near us (especially it being a buffet). The reason why it's such a low rating is because there are; Not much meat selection to cook with, hot food are often warm and fried food are cold. Salad bar look old and not enough options. Drinks are over priced. Not very authentic for Korean BBQ.However they are very nice people.
Arron Parker
Went there for a work leaving do, and my expectations were high. However though the staff were friendly enough the food was ok. It was a Saturday night and not very busy but leaving me and my mate commented that perhaps we should nip into Denny's for a feed. I expected a better selection of meats and also it didn't help that the gas table cookers kept going out and the trouble also is they just couldn't get hot enough to cook the meat quickly.
Michelle Hwang
Lovely price with nice service. Personally, the best item there is the pork seaweed soup, always tasty and make lots of sense with white rice.
Harry
Use to come here all the time cheap and fast $20 dinner all you can eat, busy also good for catering big groups. Parking is abit of a disaster, dessert area needs a bit of a clean up. Very kind workers
Nikki
The food was fantastic, me and my family really enjoyed it. It had a range of different food. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended
Sarah
Came here for lunch last month with a friend. <br/><br/>The lady who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. <br/><br/>Food - good selection of meat and side dishes. You definitely get your $25 worth<br/><br/>Service - the lady there was amazing always checking in on us and changed our grill twice. <br/><br/>Overall a great place to dine if you like K-BBQ
Kirsten
Came in here for a social event with many friends for dinner. For $20 student price at a Korean BBQ buffet is definitely worth it. Korean BBQ is a great way to gather a large bunch of people and socialise. Who doesn't want to socialise with food? It's great how they have a variety of fresh meats, such as lamb brisket, beef ribs, bulgogi, and pork belly, etc. The customer service is spot on and I always like to grill my own meat once in a while! They could maybe improve on their dessert selection, although there was watermelon and slices of cakes. They could maybe also add in more seafood as well. But overall, this was a great experience and I'd be happy to go for another round of K-BBQ.
Sarahmohawkindustries
Great price and you can BYO with no corking fee - their only rule is that you have to use their glassware (regular water glasses free, I think a the fee to use a wine glass is a dollar or two). Bottle shop next door. I brought my homemade beer in a 2L metal growler to share and they didn't mind.<br/><br/>No foils and they come look around and change the cook surface if it gets too gnarly. I think it has the best selection of meat and sides out of the Korean BBQ's in the CBD, chips are a bit soggy but what kind of muppet goes to KBBQ for french fries anyway! haha. I found everything else to be good. They have a vegetarian BBQ option that's cheaper too and we were able to separate our group between three tables for vegetarians, gluten free, and everyone else. Though it wasn't a busy time - if it's busy and you're not using a full table than your mileage may vary.<br/><br/>Haven't experienced any issue being a scruffy, tattooed european, I booked in advance and we had a few laughs on the phone making sure my cell number was correct. They are nice. :) Oh yeah I should add they don't seem to always respond to online bookings, so you should definitely call to make sure you get it!<br/><br/>Plus you save lots of money and it's more fun than regular restaurants getting to cook your own food. Just make sure your mates know what their doing - don't half cook your meat and get food poisoning!

I came in here not that long ago for some lunch as i was craving some Korean BBQ food to take away but the strange part is that their doors were open and the place was busy with people coming and going but as i went in i was quickly approached by presumably a staff member which said in a suspicious manner "we are closed" even though people were coming in after me and getting served no problem. As the front door sliders were wide open i insisted they didn't look closed but i was very quickly shunned back outside. I would hate to think this was Race related as i was the only European in there and i couldn't see any other reason for me to be rejected as there obviously wasn't a private function on and their opening hours said they were open. But the food smelt really good so fingers crossed i will be accepted next time

All your usual ingredients plus good service. Open late on a Sunday, serves a few good choices of alcohol and reasonably priced. Cheap looking little place though, appropriate for dinner with friends.
Sarah Jack
Was introduced to this place by a friend and have come back with friends since. They have a good variety of meats, side dishes and buffet dishes. They re-fill everything regularly and change the grill pan regularly as well. Best things there are their kimchi and the bulgogi marinated beef *.* They also have a good selection of soup and beverages ranging from coffee and tea to soju if you want your alcohol fix and a rice juice drink. They make it quite sweet there but if you pour cold water into it it tastes great. The best part is that they have a $5 discount for students if you show your ID card *^.^* Always satisfied with this place and will happily continue to visit.
Anna Fajardo
One of the best BBQ places I've tried! The food selection was limited but the meat were so good I didn't mind at all. Definitely love that this place was open so I didn't smell like food after coming out. Will come back again definitely!
Ronson Lee
Think the place shut forever... I'm here in the cold 1226 pm... Hoping for a roaring fire korean BBQ... But the place isn't open... Total let down
Razelle Icaro
I went here with my workmates to try it out, their cooking bbq grill/stove thing is different from the other one I went to. They also have a coffee/hot chocolate machine, and a variety of cooked food options. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly. They constantly change the metal tops which was good- it made sure there won't be burnt pieces on our food. Overall a good place for Korean BBQ
Mandy
A very popular Korean BBQ buffet near Sky Tower<br/><br/>We came here on a Friday night at around 5:45pm and were seated next to another couple. We wanted to sit somewhere else but they were fully booked out so very popular! The selection of cooked foods were average, it seemed like they had been sitting there for quite some time and no classic fried chicken to my disappointment. The selection of uncooked meats were average too. We really enjoyed the little pieces of beef strips and of course, the pork belly. The chicken was dry and beef steaks were really chewy. They had "rice water" but it tasted like lemon water so maybe they ran out and also free hot chocolate/coffee. There was also soup, rice and a selection of sides to have with the bbq cooked meats. They didn't have any lettuce leaves but radishes were nice.<br/><br/>Pictures:<br/><br/>- The hot drinks machine and rice water area<br/><br/>- BBQ grill and selection of cooked food that I got<br/><br/>- Cabinet of sides such as radishes and kimchi<br/><br/>- Cooked foods and uncooked meats<br/><br/>The staff were really attentive and always changed the grills for us, sometimes a little too frequently. But apart from that, we enjoyed eating the pork belly and beef strips. We aren't too picky when it comes to Korean BBQ buffets but we do find this one didn't have enough choices but they deserve a 3 for their attentive staff and fast refilling of uncooked/cooked foods. For $25 and at a pretty central location, it's not too bad and we would come again but not any time soon.

Worst buffet ever.i felt waisted my money and time. Not a fresh meat. Pathetic lamb chop which is skinny than my fingers without flesh on it. Frozen cheap pork belly. Sauces are disgusting. Fried frozen food. Kimchi and vegetables look not feesh as well. Service seems ok as they keep change grills but i felt even so shame to customers especially kiwis.Sorry this is not proper korean bbq.if it was korea this bbq will be 3dollars value which is for reallt hungry uni kids.
Zoe Huang
The nice thing there is they will change the bottom pan for you when it’s get burned. You won't get bothered using foil tin paper. The beef ribs are as nice as other BBQ restaurants. The speed of refilling meat item was fast but not for other food like dessert and veges. However, I like their rice drink, much better than Dea Bak’s although it's a little bit too sweet. Split payment and credit cards are acceptable. LIKE us if you want more nice restaurants in the CT~!
Vanya Patuki
Great value for your money. All you can eat meat, side dishes and other food. Awesome hospitality :-) Always come here weekly for my 삼겹살 fix!
Nia Tupouniua
Been here a few times for dinner. They top up the cooked food and raw meat frequently so that's always a plus. I'm always going for spring onion pancakes but would love if their were lettuce leaves and more variety of veges. Staff always helpful and changing grill regularly. Nice cheap eats with a group or even cheap date night.

Came here with a friend for dinner and arrived at 6pm. We were immediately greeted and seated by friendly staff and were told how the process worked, as different BBQ buffets have different processes. We came at a relatively quiet time so this was good, and were told that the sitting was from 5:30-8:30pm. There was a good range of food (could have seen some more veges though) and condiments. The cooked food was always topped up by fresher food, and the raw food was topped up frequently also. While cooking, the staff would always check if our plate needed replacing and were very helpful doing this. Overall, I had a good experience here.<br/>For $20 Korean BBQ buffet I would definitely recommend this place, as it's relatively cheap and has a friendly and good quality atmosphere.

I have been to MANY buffets, especially Korean meat buffets. However, I have never been able to recommend this place to my friends. As per normal, the meat here are frozen but their are a few good varities of seasoned meats to choose from. Unfortunately, this place isn't the cleanest. I used to visit this place quite often as a student back in the days as it was cheap and filling. $20 for a dinner buffet is not too bad. However, the sliding doors for the display unit in which side dishes are kept in are ALWAYS a mess. It really puts me off from wanting to eat food in there. With the cooked side dished that are displayed next to it, there is always pieces of food lying around. The taste of the food is ok in general. Also, the service is quite ok but one of the elder waitresses always  kind of scared me. I have never seen her smile once and just seems to be in an angry mood. Overall, a very average meat buffet that is worth going to if you're looking for something cheap. If you want quality, it'd be hard to recommend this place.

We went here today expecting to be seated and enjoy a unique dining experience, but instead we walked in and there were flies on the food. We told the lady about the flies and she just smiled and said yes flies. So we walked out and was pretty grossed out by it all.

I really like this place. It's clean and tidy.<br/>And the waitress really kind to us. She help us to make the BBQ sauce and also recommend some food for us.<br/><br/>

First time at Paradise BBQ Garden and although we got there 45 mins before closing the staff there were very welcoming and friendly. Would like to personally thank one worker in particular - JEN. We have been to a few Korean Bbq places but we've never had great service. Jen was so polite, very helpful and she made sure we tried everything in order to enjoy our first experience at Paradise. Love this place and will be back for more :)

Ate at this place and also saw what they do after hours.  Would not recommend.uneaten/leftover buffet food from customers on tables  such as bulgogi  is chucked back in the metal trays and reused for the next day. This is why the meat is not very fresh, has an off smell at times . Further the pungent stench outside is a result of them dumping oil into the gutter. Also the service is very mediocre.

I really like the owners, they are so nice and helpful here. Me and my friends were running around not really knowing what to do when the owner lady came up with some side dishes and told us how to eat it. She was so sweet, and the owners son was always really helpful, changing our BBQ top a lot.<br/><br/>Their food however? I really like the spread of food that they have- sweet and sour pork, fried rice, ddeukbokki, other korean dishes and a lot of panchan. You can eat so much! And all of it is hot and tasty.<br/><br/>I went there for the BBQ lunch though, and I was sort of disappointed. There were no lettuce wraps! The place I normally go to has lettuce wraps. Because of the BBQ the meat took such a long time to cook, and a lot of the meat, such as the squid wasn't seasoned. They have a wide variety of meat and lots of choices for food- you will not be hungry, and they have this cold rice sweet water that I really liked by the dessert table. The seaweed soup was really oily for some reason as well.<br/><br/>However, I really like this place because the owners were such nice people, and a lot of people eating there were korean. If Koreans are eating at a korean restaurant, it means it's good! My usual haunt is normally filled with chinese people (such as myself) and Koreans don't really like it. They have a lot more korean food in bainmaries and a wide variety of different foods, so I guess that's why Koreans like to frequent this place.<br/><br/>I don't think I would go there again for the BBQ, only the buffet lunch. Family owned need support!

We are a group of 3 who went on a Friday night. my first impression is that this restaurant was like a student food court, maybe is because of the value of the buffet. there is a range of food which i liked, and the quality is O.K, but i didnt like their display of food. so if you are a high roller, or over the age of 35, might want to try a BBQ restaurant with better environment.

This was our 1st experience at a Korean BBQ place and we loved it! The wait staff there were awesome and helped us through it all!! We will be bringing our children with us next time we are in the area! We are telling all our friends too!!

Went here for dinner and had an awesome time! <br/>There was a great selection of meats to chose from, constantly being topped up. The marinated beef was definitely a winner! There's also plenty of sides to add to your meal like rice, miso, dumplings, spring rolls, salads, pancakes, and my ultimate favourite - kimchi!<br/><br/>We ended up staying here for a while and the service was very friendly and helpful. I think they could tell it was our first time there, so a few staff approached us to tell us the best techniques and even made us some delicious sauce mixes.<br/><br/>Amazing value for $20. Stoked we tried it!

service 4/5 environment 3/5 food 4/5 cost performance 4/5 drink 4/5 ( BYO)  I didn't eat dessert because they have only fruites.  I wanted to eat cakes or ice but I was satisfied with BBQ meat and korean sides

I can't express enough how amazed I am at the quality of food, the price and the service that this place has to offer.<br/><br/>I have been here a number of times and have taken many different people with me so that I can spread the word at just how fantastic it is.<br/><br/>The manager (Jen I think her name is) is beyond great. She is always so friendly and helpful. She now knows my voice when I call to make a booking and we are greeted with such enthusiasm.<br/><br/>I would recommend Paradise Korean BBQ to anyone and I am extremely fussy when it comes to food, restaurants and customer service.<br/><br/>I even drive all the way from Hamilton to eat at this restaurant frequently.<br/><br/>Keep up the good work team.<br/><br/>Thanks,<br/><br/>A very happy customer.

This place is great, a buffet with a difference as you cook yourself (like all Korean BBQ). Plenty of meat choices and lots of Korean specialties when it comes to vegetables and condiments. Don't make the mistake of eating any of the pre cooked foods sitting in the bain-marie's as I think they're just there to keep the westerners happy. BYO is free and they really just leave you to it. The restaurant is usually packed with Korean families and students, so I think you can be confident that the food is authentic, just book to make sure you get a space. The staff are fun, friendly and quickly change a smokey BBQ plate. Only thing to watch out for is the desert options are lacking (so no bowl of the ice cream for the kids) but by the time you have finished eating, there won't be room in your stomach for desert!

If you are starving and feel like a buffet, this is the place to go, especially if you are a carnivore! ALL YOU CAN EAT MEATS!<br/><br/>That itself is awesome, plus the BBQ and the price of just $20-$25pp!<br/><br/>Great to take a young Asian girl out on a cheap date too. Older ones like fancy places.<br/><br/>Service: 3/5<br/>Wait time: 5/5<br/>Environment: 3/5<br/>Food Quality: 5/5<br/>Food Quantity: 5/5<br/>Price range: $25+ pp

We had great fun here! The food is really yummy and interesting and it's fun cooking at the BBQ. Amazing value for money!!! The only downer was we had to ask someone to come over and explain what to do as we sat there looking lost for a little while and there isn't much customer service but we didn't mind at all considering the price! Overall highly recommended for a cheap and fun and yummy night out.

I had a very enjoyable Korean buffet for lunch today. To start with, the two soups were just beautiful - a soybean soup (which was very similar to Japanese miso soup, with delicious slippery bits of dark green seaweed in it). Plus a separate seawood soup - also extremely salty and yum.<br/><br/>I love the way Korean cuisine does its vegetables - and the big variety of sides is always a highlight for me. I felt like being semi-vegetarian today, so for the main dishes I stuck with the soft-tofu chilli stew (YUM), boiled rice, a very delicious translucent noodle salad (that was my fave dish), ricecake in quite long cylindrical pieces swimming in a lovely med-spicy orange sauce, and very very tasty little pieces of korean pancake. And other yummy things like fresh curled, split spring onions - with a brown sauce to drizzle over the top.<br/><br/>I was enticed to Paradise Garden by the $15 lunch 'buffet without bbq' offer. I noticed that there were other diners doing the meat bbq at their tables too during lunchtime. If I had been eating meat today though, I think I would have still stuck to the $15 buffet - because there were plenty of tasty meat options on the buffet without needing to cook extra up on the barbecue. (But I'm more inclined to not bother with the barbecuing process at my own table during lunch anyhow).<br/><br/>My one recommendation would be that the freshly cooked food on the buffet was already cooled down a lot by the time I arrived at 12pm. So... I think the Paradise team should make sure they get those little burners underneath the buffet dishes going as soon as you put the hot dishes on the table... Otherwise punters like me who arrive at 12 on the dot, are getting lukewarm rice! It still tasted great though, and they have a big A grade certificate on the wall, so I wasn't too worried - but I mentioned it to the waitress, and she apologized, and explained it had all been prepared at 11am when they opened.<br/><br/>Aside from that... I think this place is wonderful value, with a very tasty range of Korean buffet food. It would be a marvelous place to bring a group of friends and do the bbq buffet thing round the table for dinner too.

Awesome customer service, always quick to change the BBQ plate and very helpful staff too. Really really rare for a Korean BBQ buffet place in the heart of the city! <br/>Food selection was great, the quality is top-notch and most importantly - they are quick to refill! :) highly recommended

OMG...Everyone needs to DROP everything and go there NOW!!!..The food and service was AWESOME. Our waitress was Jen, she was always there with a smile answering all our questions about everything. Being Pacific Islanders, age ranging from 16 - 32, we had NO idea what to expect, other than trying out food we'd seen on certain Korean Dramas, but this experience BLEW us AWAY beyond our belief....SO, much food and it suited everyone's taste-buds, this was TRULY one of my BEST DINING EXPERIENCES EVER....Watch out PARADISE, you've got MAJOR FANS!!!..We'll be seeing you soon..

Very nice 'REAL' Korean food. High quality meat and all side dishes, which is a total surprise from other Korean restaurants. If you want to experience real Korean BBQ that is/tastes exactly the same as what you would experience in South Korea, go here.
Sally Shimmy Choi
FYI it is a Korean buffet <br/>It has Korean side dishes and a range of (red) meat and sauces up for selection. <br/>It is pretty good, all you can eat for $20 per person!
