Amazing high tea at the Florentine Tearoom. The food was so delicious and filling (best tofu I've ever tasted) & they catered for all dietary requirements (veggie, dairy free etc.). The service was impeccable - Winston is the nicest guy ever. He let us bring decorations & took lovely pictures, and was so helpful to deal with during the afternoon & when booking. I can't believe I haven't been here before, but 110% recommend and will definitely be going back. Thank you Winston & the team!

Lovely little tea shop with a very delicious High Tea. This has been my favourite High Tea so far esp as it was a birthday treat with my mum - the food was amazing. The servers were lovely and patient. It's a sweet little tearoom and I can see why it's so popular!

Gorgeous small tea room in Epsom. The interior is charming, the staff are friendly. We had the Christmas high tea; it was beautifully presented and tasted great. There was a good variety of sweet and savoury options in the high tea, and plenty of food (we had to take some leftovers home). For the price and the experience, it really is good value for something so special. I'd love to come back and try some of the sweets in the cabinet at the front as well. There is a good range of sweet and savoury options in the cabinet and cooked options on the menu, and not everyone at your table has to have the high tea - my mum had a scone with jam & cream with a pot of tea.

Lovely high tea experience. Really friendly service, delicious food - beautifully displayed, portion was just right for my husband, toddler AND myself (so if there’s just the 2 of you, you’d probably have to take some away). My absolute favourite were the scones (made fresh in-house), I’d be happy eating those all day long. We sat in the little courtyard out the back and they also have a couple of tables out the front if you prefer an outdoor setting. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the high tea here. Need to book 24 hours in advance. Will definitely be visiting this secret gem again and more often.

Had high tea here last week and would definitely want to visit again, the food was really nice and good portions, we had to take away some as we couldn't finish it all. The stand out food was the mini burgers and the scones. The customer service was really great and nice environment especially sitting in the back courtyard. One of the best high teas I've had and the price is very good too. Definitely recommend this place if you haven't tried it yet!

Had high tea for my birthday and food was tasty, especially the sliders. Even the simple ham sandwich was nice. Coffee was good too..Service was great, quite friendly. Was quite prompt in responding to my enquiry. Will definitely come back. And recommend this place.

Shoutout to this lovely cafe in Epsom! I want to thank @Kitty She was sooo sweet, humble and welcoming. I had specified our dietery requirments and she took care of our Menu sooo well. We went for the High tea, she had arranged two seating arrangements. The High tea Menu is perfect for a weekend and is worth the price. $25 per person you get a lot and I must say Florentine Tearoom has a Wide selection of Teas and drink menu which is awesome. Thank you to The Florentine Tearoom for you wonderful hospitality! We totatlly recommend this place and would visit you again. Also I would like to add a Smile adds another great impression. Kitty and the young girl who served us drinks both welcomed, served and said goodbye with a smile 😊😊 Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Such a small and cozy local cafe. I haven't tried any menu except muffins and scones so yet cannot mention any about the menu. The place is in my route to work so it's my daily morning coffee place. The Florentine uses the Peoples bean from Wellington which rarely can be found in Auckland and this is another reason making me go here👍🏻 please visit when you are around!

Came in today for coffee and cake. Always wanted to try out the desserts and drinks here. We ordered a salmon quiche, passionfruit cupcake, soy milk cappuccino and flat white. Was extremely happy that they added chocolate to the top of the froth of my cappuccino. It made the coffee taste extra sweet and enjoyable. Quiche crust was crumbly and crisp, portion size was large too. Passionfruit cupcake was not too sweet and the icing on top was a perfect pairing with the cake. Stayed in the cafe for an hour and a half chatting while it was raining outside. Environment was relaxing.

I’ve always gone past this cafe, and finally decided to check it out. Such a cute little cafe. Love the atmosphere. I rang the bell for service and this lady popped out of the kitchen with the biggest and most welcoming smiles! One of the best coffees I have ever had at any cafes, with the right amount of caramel. Not too sweet and not too bitter. I also brought carrot cake, and it was damn good. Along with being a good portion size it was very moist and the icing was to die for. I will definitely be back with friends and family again.

Absolutely love this place. Good coffee and very consistent food. Has a really nice little garden out the back which is laden with peaches currently. Always lovely to drop in their cabinet food is always fresh and nicely presented. ❤️

Cute little place, enjoyed how the back opens onto a garden, peaceful and quite nice on a Saturday morning. Love the fancy tea cups.<br/>Food was pretty decent and at a good price.<br/>Mocha was a little too chocolatey for my liking.<br/>Drinks and food were brought out in good timing.

Because i was working at the hospital non-stop for a month leading to up to my best friends babyshower which i was planning, the friendly owner at Florentine was absolutely amazing at accomadating to my request and providing the catering the food for the party! The food was absolutely stunning!!! All the treats were delightful. We had scones, cakes, cupcakes, their slices and the sandwhiches.<br/><br/>Thanks to the team for all your help!<br/><br/>They alao making great coffee , very hard to find in auckland

The Florentine Tearoom is such a nice and quaint place. The atmosphere is very polite and calming and the interior decorations and theme is very unique. The hostess that served us is also very lovely! She made a tea recommendation that my brother praised very highly for getting his tastes right. There is a lot of space and plenty of places to sit but doesn't seem too crowding which is a plus. Great place really recommend it

This is a great place to bring your Mum or your Grandmother. We ordered a few sandwiches (delicious) and a couple of slices w. our pots of tea and had a lovely afternoon tea. I don't know if I'd go back, simply because it's easier for me just to shoot straight through to Newmarket, but it's clear to see why this is a neighbourhood fave.

We had a desert with coffee and hot chocolate. I can't remember the name but it had pavalova, biscuit? It tasted amazing! One of the best tasting dessert I've ever had. Definately going to visit again.

Went to Florentine Tearooms today to meet a friend from other end of Auckland for lunch - we had seen an article and looked forward to checking out what seemed a great place - must have been before it changed hands as we were very disappointed -  I had been to this same place many years ago when it was under a different name  A  deli style place then with great food  and ALWAYS packed at lunchtime - how times change !!   and the place rocked<br/><br/> Friend had rung and booked and inquired re gluten free food ( not a fad - we both are affected with coeliac disease)  said" not a problem".  Aarrived and friend was in the courtyard which could do with a sweep - the sound of the kitchen drain and the flushing toilet and a table that could do with a sand and a varnish or paint saw us move inside  - and a trellis to hide the neighbours untidy yard!.<br/><br/>Inside seats covered in creamy linen fabric were grubby the "chandaliers" and ;amps all need a good wash and the whole place felt dirty.  Instead of "shyacking " do some work.  We asked about the gluten free and they said they could do sandwiches with GF bread great - then they proceeded to take readymade sandwiches from the cabinet and were going to use those fillings on GF  bread - absolute no no people!! !!.  After further consideration and a menu that was 4 items - eggs benedict/mushroom risotto and ? name escapes me - we made the decisio0n and left - Went to Circus  in Mt Eden - WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE - FELT LIKE COMING HOME AGAIN  -<br/><br/>Feel sad as this could be such a great place with so little effort and some loving care - the bones are there so look to it people

I work with the Elderly and prepare monthly plans with activities. I am sad to say I do not recommend this place to any other facility: I had popped in the day before to reserve tables/room...I was greeted and I was told no problem. Some of you can imagine loading and un loading van is a big thing; we got to Florentine only to find they hadn't kept the table. Time is also a issue to us due to bathroom or time away etc. 13mins was wasted. It was very sad, two of three staff were terrible apologetic thank you for that. However I am unable to recommend after our experience. Please don't say you can book if you are unable to keep to promises - its harder for some of us than others. Terribly embarrassing - I wouldn't have booked if i'd known - I left company name you could have phoned us.

Organised a High Tea for my daughter and her best friend to celebrate a 16th Birthday. Thank you to the wonderful staff at The Florentine Room for making it so special.<br/>The food was fabulous and the staff went out of their way to make it a special occasion.

The coffee used to be great but has really gone downhill since the cafe changed owner a few months ago. <br/>We live pretty much next door to Florentines and used to pop in daily but have started going down the road to Mt Eden.

Pro: Great ambience, great selection of teas, excellent coffee<br/>Con: Opening hours – close too early<br/><br/>Another café to fall in love with! The interior design is superb, with so much love to detail. I went for the long table in the back, where I not only had a big bottle of water and glasses right in front of me but also a bunch of lovely smelling flowers. Although they seem to have an excellent selection of teas, I had a coffee. The brand they use is an organic, fair-trade brand from Wellington called People’s coffee and the taste was just perfect. <br/><br/>Needs to switch to more plantbased, sustainable options.<br/><br/>I’d prefer longer opening hours than 3:30 during the week and 3 on weekends. That’s just the time I would go for a coffee in the afternoon!

I bought a voucher for high tea for 2. I took my 2 sons and we had a cake-stand of food between the three of us. Yummy. Fantastic service, tasty food and really lovely crockery. Such a lovely atmosphere. I can't wait to take my parents for a visit next time they are here

Took my partner in for a surprise high tea in march, she really enjoyed it, as did I. Great food, great eco-friendly coffee, and friendly service.<br/><br/>On a side note, was just reading up for the phone number and saw lorinda's review below, thought I better do the Florentine some justice. I remember a very obnoxious table coming in and sitting next to us outside (not sure if lorinda's table, but the story sounds similar). They were extremely rude to the staff about having to sit outside on a slightly overcast day. They also mishandled the high tea glass stand, and broke the crystal stand on which the food was served, didn't seem to apologise to the staff or owner, and left. <br/><br/>This is a lovely place, and I would definitely return.

I visited the Florentine for a high tea last week and had a very different experience to the previous reviewer. I thought the staff were really friendly and the atmosphere and presentation of everything was gorgeous. There was so much food we had to take some of the cute little cakes home with us. I would definitely recommend a visit.

A friend organised a surprise high tea here for me, along with several other friends. We were very disappointed. It was a wet, blustery day and our booking saw us seated in the courtyard area which was cold and wet.<br/>The food was nice and the coffee good, although for the amount we were charged I expected more food and something a little bit special.<br/>The girls on the counter were polite but the manager was very snippy and quite rude. We were basically forgotten about and although our table was cleared fairly quickly, we were never offered any extra coffee or tea.<br/>I would not visit again as I feel there are much friendlier, warmer places in Auckland to have high tea for much better value.

I had high tea here, which was nice. The cafe is cute and has character.<br/><br/>The service was really good. For example there were some mosquitoes in the courtyard, so they lit a citronella burner for us! <br/><br/>Good coffee too. A cute local cafe, would definitely go back :)
