Grabbed a salmon quiche for lunch on my way to work. Quiche was pretty filling for its size, which is good. Place looked tidy and clean, and a lot of other customers seems to love their coffee. Staff was friendly.

We used Zomato Gold and the Manager or owner said ‘we do not accept credit card’. However, they had paywave in their system. By simply tapping, the payment would have gone through. However, the Manager or owner voided the transaction and repeated rudely and loudly they do not accept credit card. I was only querying why when they had paywave on their system. I felt very intimidated by her rudeness. She voided the transaction 3 times, saying they don’t accept credit card. My credit card was linked to my cheque account too. She could have just told me that wanted to charge a percentage if I pay by credit card instead of raising her voice at me. The initial comment of ‘we do not accept credit card’ was not right if paywave showed in their system. In the end, I slotted my credit card and chose cheque instead of using paywave. The encounter was very unpleasant. I still gave it a 3 rating because the food was good. It is a pity she handled the situation so rudely. I would have understood if she had nicely explained that she wanted to charge an extra for credit card payment (I believed considering I was using Zomato Gold). The other lady server was nice and friendly. Such horrible attitude and tone of voice for someone in the hospitality industry.

Just a simple place for simple breakfast and grab coffee and pie on the go in the area. Open kitchen and kinda cafe vibe is alright but do not expect real cafe feeling from here. Food were alright, nothing fancy just simple food - not bad but nothing special about them. Service was pretty standard as well.

Came here on a sunday and it was busy, The lady informed us theres a 30 mins wait for food which i appreciate the communication. I got the bacon and chicken salad and my partner got the beef burger. Both food was good and serving was decent. With zomato gold it is so worth it!

Had the chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich and beef and bacon burger. Hot chocolate taste average. The beef pattie was very juicy and yummy. Sandwich was slightly different to what i was expecting but taste nice. Love the shoestring fries! Very reasonable prices and excellent service.

We tried this cafe for the first time even though we pass this place often to get to Countdown Highland Park. 3 adults and 4 kids really enjoyed freshly cooked breakfast and the service. No fuss relaxed setting and received our order in 10-15 minutes (this is for 7 covers) will be happy to visit Kitchenette again.

I ordered the sweetcorn fritters with crispy bacon, green salad and found it rather underwhelming. Only one small rasher of bacon (hardly shows up in the photo), the fritters themselves were unexciting and the salad placed underneath was wilted and unappealing. The coffee was ok. Nothing really to make this place stand out from any other local eatery. The staff person was friendly but seemed to be running the place on his own.

It is located in the Highland Park Shopping Area on the football fields side. The menu changed from when I was looking at it last so unsure if they have recently changed owners. The place is small and unassuming but they did have an outdoor seating area which is new. Standard cafe food on the menu. You go up to order and they bring it out.<br/><br/>The ice chocolate was ok. The creamy mushrooms was quite nice. It was much better than other places I had tried. Nice and simple flavours.<br/><br/>They have the goody card loyalty program which was nice. They also had cheap breakfast specials during the weekdays.

Choose Kitchenette!!!.Best place to pop in for a quick bite/coffe or if you feel like relaxing in a fresh and cosy atmosphere. The quality service is always prompt (understandable if they are busy)and friendly. Fantastic menu, low prices for the quality and quantity of food served compared to the neighbouring cafes. Fav place to eat at whenever I'm in the area. Love the paninis the fillings are always generous and gurantee your not just eating flat bread when having it toasted.

This place had changed hands since my last visit so I was keen to check it out again.<br/>They have an outdoor & indoor area - both quite tidy. Lots to choose from in the cabinet. Decided to try the Banana loaf toasted. It had lots of flavour.<br/>Service was good. Only thing was an overpowering smell of garlic butter (??) - I don't mind that smell as it reminds me of Italian food, but it was very intense.<br/>Will give their breakfast menu a try when I'm next in the area. Have heard both good & bad reviews but happy to try before deciding.

We had a late breakfast at Kitchenette. My wife had sweet corn fritters stack & I had bacon, eggs, tomato & toast, & with coffees. Coffees were nice & hot (after requesting them hot). Corn fritters were very nicely made but I wasn't as lucky - bacon was not crispy! (Food - 3/5; Service - 4/5)

I came here this morning with my nana for a light breakfast. We ordered for a hot chocolate, pot of English breakfast and cheese-onion toastie. The hot drinks were average and the toastie wasn't too good either. The customer service was okay.

I have been to this cafe a number of times for both breakfast and lunch and have had excellent service as well as been treated well, it is an awesome place that you can get one free special muffin when you buy coffee in the morning! So I highly recommend it !<br/>

Ordered Salmon and Avocado Stack for $18.50 only to be told that they've run out of avocadoes when they we're already serving us our food. They offered us 2 pieces of bacon instead, which we had to wait for to be cooked, or should I say heated up because it wasn't even cooked properly. Not worth the money at all, there were only 2 pieces of the smoked salmon, 1 poached egg and no avocado. Service people don't even seem to know whay they're doing.

Prior to the change it management this was our favourite weekend lunch place. Now it seems as though they have changed everything but the name.Ordered lamb shwarmas but they had run out so we had beef. It was some meat and salad in a pita pocket with some sauce, no flavour at all. We were ok paying $18.50 when it was the best shwarmas we had ever had but now it is just depressing

Ordered a cabinet sausage roll. Came out very quickly but was soggy from being reheated in a microwave and was cold in the middle. Side salad was more like a garnish. Coffee was ok, hot chocolate looked really good but was fairly standard. Person that served us didn't speak at all. Felt like cold service all round. Noticed a sign saying under new management.

Walked in this arvo (24/8) couldnt decide on the cabinet food or the blackboard everything just looked awesome - went with one of the specials instead and had the Triple B Burger, YUM, it was so tasty and fresh, could not fault it all!! Coming all the way down here for the Israeli shakshuka from North, first time having this dish though, but I'm not very impressed. The parsley is too much and too strong on the top of egg, the tomato sauce is pretty much like spaghetti without beef mince, it lacks flavour, good quality breads though.

Love this place! tried it out for the first time with a friend of mine last week, we went just for a coffee, ended up with and entire gourmet lunch! i didn't know what to choose! <br/><br/>The food was mouth watering, the selection of cakes and desserts was great too! bought myself a packet of Halva and some green chilli harissa to take home.<br/><br/>The staff was wonderful, had a long chat to the two owners, a super friendly couple who know there stuff about food and Israel! All in all it turned out to be a great afternoon, with talk and laughs in the sunshine and finished it off with a large icy cold glass of there home made mint lemonade! <br/><br/>I will definitely be coming again. and again, and i heard they host functions there too! Thanks BEN and VONI!!!

Came here for Dinner and chose this place on a whim! We thought it was kitchen n things type place not a place to dine! It was good to see a menu completely different to what it out in the Howick Pakuranga area. It was nice, clean, simple, modern and spacious! Ordered Haifa mix, wife n girl had one of the cheese burgers! Israeli food cooked n served by a Tongan and Filipino! The service was very good, the food was honest with great flavours! It was a beautiful day and stupid realized he should have brought a bottle of wine with us! Great little place we loved it! I'll will try the breakfast menu soon! Thank you for the left over Cronuts to take home for dessert!

My husband has steadily and delightedly worked his way through their extensive and unrelentingly delicious menu over the last few months. We absolutely love this place, and the staff are wonderful - enthusiastic, a good knowledge of their products, cheerful and helpful.<br/><br/>The food tastes fresh and wonderful. My favourite is still their simple "Base" burger. These are GOOD cooks! They are constantly coming up with new sauces and ideas.<br/><br/>Beware - it is very easy to become an enthusiastic regular. :)

Took my Mum here for Mother's Day lunch on Sunday. Although this place didn't seem to be that busy, our meals were a little slow to come out. his has got to be as genuine a kiwi gourmet burger place as it gets. <br/><br/>Wide range, catering also to people that need gluten-free buns. <br/><br/>I went there for a quick lunch before heading to the supermarket for groceries. Had one of those "smidge" burgers, size perfect since wasn't really that hungry. Tasted amazing!<br/><br/>Recommend this place to cronies that want to have a good old cackle over good times. Saw some there having a splendid time gossiping. <br/><br/>Staff really friendly; one can tell it is a very good place by the regulars that come over and chat to staff to discuss what they should get. Very hilarious overhearing them. <br/><br/>Good for anyone that enjoys a good burger really.

Delicious! Burgers are eat-in or takeaway, bout the same price as the other gourmet burger chains but yummier, though similar simple decor to those chains! There are the standard flavours (beef, chicken, vegetarian) or try the Moroccan Chicken burger if you like delicious spices or the Portobello burger if you like blue cheese and red onion relish. Looks like most of the meat is free range if possible. Gluten free buns also available for a dollar extra. Yum! Also is a cafe and has allpress coffee and a good looking range of slices/cakes and some breakfast options.

Have purchased takeaway burgers here on multiple occasions. <br/><br/>I have to say that the burgers really are top notch and probably the best I have had in quite some time. Love to eat these burgers!<br/><br/>The only downside I have noticed is the amount of chips has decreased over time and is not that great a value for money which often means a trip to elsewhere to get a 'decent' serve of chips.<br/><br/>However, as mentioned previously - cannot fault the burgers!

Hands down the best gourmet burger I have ever eaten and the tastiest burger menu options I have seen yet (will take some time to work my way through them all). Yes, a big statement, but worthy of the praise. I suggest trying their beef first (as was recommended to me) - you will be back. My only hope is they open one up more centrally so I can visit more regularly.

Stopped here for a takeaway cup of Joe and a cronut on Sunday and were greeted by the friendly owners who provided service with a smile. <br/><br/>My soy flat white could have been hotter but it made it easy to drink as soon as he made it. The cinnamon cronut was utterly delicious and went well with my coffee. I could eat several of these without any complaints!
