Our favorite (BEST) Chinese restaurant in Auckland ⭐️ REOPEN SOON, PLEASE 🙏🏻

Great food, came out fast, complimentary green tea was nice

Best homemade dumplings in Royal Oak. Tasty. Vegetables are always fresh and crisp. Garlic bok choy is fantastic. Going to this restaurant is like being welcomed to a family home. Maybe they should correct the spelling to Royal Dumpling.
Filipo Pou
Best dumplings in Akld. Other dishes are nice too. Well worth what you pay. Finding a car park can be troublesome at times.

Unbelievable that this excellent restaurant has been damaged by fire. I do hope they can reopen soon, they are just so good at what they do. Very best wishes for a speedy reopening.

Let me start - the dumplings are great, very tasty and filling, also cheap. The downfall here is the terrible customer service, never a smile or greeting. The delicious dumplings are the only reason to come here. Perhaps take away is the best call .
Amanda Culpepper (Apanda)
When you come here-and you absolutely should- expect delicious homemade dumplings with tender fillings, panko breaded tempura and about 30cm long spring rolls! It was all so good, piping hot, quickly served and the portions so generous! No one will ever leave hungry! Highly recommended!
Dana Young
Big portions and good price. Food was not bad, just very quiet when we dined in at 6pm.

Great food service was great as well. Not long to wait for food.

We shared 5 dishes dishes between 4 people and a baby bowl of rice. We had a drink each and it came to $100. I was very impressed by the quality and tasty dishes. The service was excellent. A really nice touch of serving us tea on arrival. I would eat here again.

Impressed by the good price and freshly prepared food!! Will come again!!

Good went there for dumplings was nice dumpling dough was a little bit on the sweet side but still yum, don't know about the customer service the lady was busy but didn't get a dish to do my sauces in or hot tea like everyone else had on their tables. Other then that it was nice

Best dumplings in Auckland...used to live near here and then moved away but would make regular visits. Moving nearby again, so will be visiting this place a lot! Super friendly people too and great value! Unpretentious and delicious!
Lee Askew-Burrell
I expected this place to be average but me and my partner were pleasantly surprised at the quality. The best chicken and mushroom dumplings I've ever had at a really reasonable price. The fact they gave us a ladle and extra bowls so we could share out our side of soup was so lovely and really made the experience that much better. It's something a lot of places dont bother to do, and we didnt even have to ask! The staff were so kind and helpful, werent pushy while still being attentive. 10/10, will definitely come here again.

This place is fabulous! The steamed shrimp and coriander dumplings are addictive - in fact everything on the menu is depending on what takes you fancy. Great prices and great selection to keep everyone happy. I laugh a little to read the reviews who comment on the service here - we have NEVER experienced poor service. Maybe you reap what you sow?

OMG!!!! Absolutely yummy, best yum cha in ages. My husband and I were craving yum cha and it took us 4 restaurants that were either empty or closed to find this lil gem. Definitely coming back and highly recommend to everyone 😊😊
Very disappointing meal. We ordered a dish each. One fried pork, shrimp and chive dumpling, one steamed pork and cabbage dumpling and one chicken with Szechuan sauce. The meals came out at different times which was annoying. My husband's chicken was very spicy but that was it, it had no other flavors to it except chilli. The fried dumplings weren't fried nicely. They had a strange flavour to them but also were quite boring and not very enjoyable. When we asked for some water, we were just given a bottle with no glasses, the waitress didn't seem very happy when we asked for glasses. Would definitely not try here again.

Great local dumplings. Big portions and delicious. Good service in Level 3, safe contactless pick up. Thank you
Anna
Our fav local place for Yum Char. Lovely friendly staff, even when extremely busy. Food is fantastic! Love the Steamed mince pork bun, I think it may be a xiao long bao, delicious ginger flavor! Deep fried Squid is very good, Dumplings very fine also. Nice to order Yum Char off a menu rather than from a cart, very relaxing place. Highly reccomend

The food is great with big portions, the dim sum is nice

I’ve become a regular customer at Royal City Dumpling & Noodle, it was a find that my friend and I stumbled upon just looking for anything to eat, from the first bite of those steamed dumplings we made it a regular occurrence. I have even brought my team from work to try it out with excellent raving reviews thereafter even one of them coming back the following weekend with their own family.
The food comes out quite fast, which is good for either a quick hot bite or gradual lead into more delicious food. The lady at the counter is always friendly and accommodating to our needs. Deep friend squid is my personal favourite following closely behind by the garlic mince green beans.
Best for smaller groups of 4-5 people, there is only one big revolving table that caters for larger size.
Interior needs an update but the awesome yummy food makes up for the lack of interior design finesse.
Would highly recommend this place to my friends and family. Awesome hidden gem in Royal Oak.

Odd decor but clean atmosphere. Very subtle and perfect seasoning. Have tried

1.steamed pork and cabbage dumplings(20 for $12.5);
2.steam pork and peanut dumplings ($6) and 3.steamed sticky rice with pork mince wrapped in lotus leaves($6.5).

All highly recommend! Very authentic taste and friendly to all human beings;)

Came in on a Wednesday for a light lunch after a heavy breakfast at Kreem cafe with dad. Ordered two servings of chicken feet and one serving of shaomai. Shaomai was quite good. It was my first time coming here but dad said that the chicken feet was not as good as it usually is. I thought it tasted average. Maybe that was just because I wasn't too hungry at that time. Will come back to try their other dim sums.

We were in the area and decided to grab a late lunch but didn't know where. We noticed that this place was packed so we thought we'd check it out. The weren't very many tables/seats so it was good that this family was just leaving so we got a table immediately but the group after us needed to wait for a bit. The bbq pork and shrimp fried rice was really good and had heaps of meat. However, for $13.50 the portion size is a bit small compared to other Asian restaurants. The sweet chicken and calamari were delicious - highly recommended! The wonton noodles soup was ok - the noodles were delicious but the soup was pretty bland. The pork and cabbage dumplings were good although the wrapper was quite dry. The restaurant doesn't have the fanciest ambience but will remind you of Asia. Overall, we had a good lunch for a pretty decent price. The aunty was so nice and accommodating.

We have tried their dumplings, Siu Mai and Har Gow, great fried dumplings, Siu Mai and Har Gow are also tasty, fast and friendly service, will certainly be back there again.
Avi
Dumplings were nice albeit limited choice. Everything else was pretty average. Egg fried rice was literally rice and a bit of egg no veg. Steamed veg was bok choi with a little oyster sauce. Lemon chicken not tasty. Deep fried tofu not bad. All in all food just ok for me. Can't say I'll be back.
Munchies
No bad lil outlet for dumplings. For a dumplings outlet there aren’t as many flavours to choose from. Lets be real tho this outlet is no barrilla but hey still a nice option if you in the area. I enjoyed the chili oil here. Different to other outlets. Nice and spicy.
Ordered yum cha foods available. Prices are okay for serving sizes.

After school feeds with my daughter and husband. One other diner there. Restaurant is small but enough space to get around. Clear signs for bathroom which is always good to know. I thought service was good, we didnt have to wait to long for our food. Food was good and fresh. I loved the dumplings and good price value. I thought the yum char was a bit over priced. Interior need a makeover though.
Adrianna
Friendly staff, fast service. This place is known for all day yum char. Food is ok, a bit pricey. E.g. four siumai for $6. We ordered steamed beef and onion dumplings, char siu bao, and siu mai. Would come here again with friends.

2 Adults + 2 10yr olds. $47.80. 2 cans lemonade (for kids - we had the green tea), 1 x pork & cabbage dumplings (20), sweet & sour pork, nasi goreng.
Dumplings were yum. S&S pork was good amount and tasty. Nasi goreng had a little heat, but little flavour.
We wanted an early dinner, nice and simple. Perfect - read about service being (not the most) friendly, it was efficient.
Yusoff Kamal
Good dumplings ...really nice. Service is not great and the interior is a little tired.

Its a good experience being in this restaurant.

Definitely come here for the dumplings only.
LSnag
The dumplings here are tender and so flavoursome. I also can highly recommend the green beans with olive as well as the rice noodles with beef. Hot, savoury and just delicious. The lady who served us was friendly and very personable. Top notch.
Danielle Southwick
Really nice dumplings have had the egg shrimp and chive many times. But don’t do a vegetarian one unfortunately. While food is great don’t expect good service.
Darren Big Belly
I used to come here once a week for some beef tendon noodles. This was 2 years ago. I went back last night and it still tastes exactly the same.
Dumplings here are good but not great. Nice local eatery though.
Beef stirfry broccoli was absolutely delicious.
Stirfry rice noodles with beef (干炒牛河)was Smokey and not too salty.

Good casual dining.
Food: 3.5/5
Service 4/5
Setting 3/5
Accessibility 4.5/5

22/7/2018 had lunch with my beloved husband.
We ordered beef and onions handmade dumplings, 20pcs (fried)。And a bami mee goreng .
But it come bami rice, my husband had angry. but I said it fine, we except it, no need to change.
The staff had apologized.
The dumplings are small, hardly tastes any onions.
Totally, we give 3 stars, staff was modest, the oriental atmosphere, cheap food.
Catveen
Delicious and cheap - I always leave with a full belly and a take home doggy bag! Must try: prawn steam dumplings, deep fried tofu with onion and cucumber and sweet chilli sauce, stir fried round bean with Chinese olives and garlic and onion and carrot. Their green tea is complimentary - lovely and light and refreshing.
Have been coming here over the last few years and always come back. They can get quite busy which sometimes affects the quality but overall the dumplings are very tasty. A good option of sauces available on the table. Has a small cosy feel to the restaurant. Usually order the sweet and sour pork along with our standard pork and cabbage dumplings and is very tasty

Reviewing customer service only- did not get to try food. I stood at the counter to make an order and waited. After about a minute or so I saw nobody coming to take my order so I used the bell on the counter. Waited for another minute and the woman sitting at the table right next to the counter suddenly got up and came to take my order. She had a mouthful of food and muttered something like “you make order” I then said to her oh you have been sitting there watching me (right next to me) for the past few minutes and only decide to take my order now? I then walked out. She clearly and intentionally did not take my order because she was too busy stuffing her own face to care.I see bad reviews for this woman’s customer service so it’s obviously a regular thing with her.
Paulwf
I decided to try this place after reading the reviews here. Unfortunately my experience was not as good as others. We decided to try their handmade dumplings since that's their specialty. We had to ask the quantity of dumplings for each serving as it's silent on that on the menu. At dinner time the sun streams into the restaurant heating it up making the environment unbearably hot & humid. Instead of turning on the air conditioning unit they had a useless fan on in the corner and left the door ajar. To make things worse the dumplings were bland. So overall there's nothing to make me want to return.

Decent food and insanely reasonable price. Staff are friendly and attentive. Only downside is no liquor license but you get awesome tea instead :)

We informed the lady that my friend who I was with was allergic to both chicken shrimp and egg. We ordered pork bun and tofu dishes. We ordered beef and pork fried rice to which it came out with egg. I pointed this out to her. She flatly refused to redo the fried rice as she said it is impossible to cool fried rice without egg. She said no fried rice for you only steamed rice. Ive been to many restaurants and takeaway shops that kindly accomodate allergies including my sons and this lady was so harsh to deal with us we will not go back. She even approached a customer in the restaurant to try back her up saying they wont cook fried rice without egg. What a stressful experience!

My wife and I visit this restroom at least once a month. The food is delicious and dirt cheap! I much prefer eating here than other more well known places. Definitely recommend you give this place a go!

We love yumcha and we get excited when we discovered Royal dumpling serve yumcha for dinner.
I personally surprised that this restaurant has less than 3 score in Zomato. We enjoyed our dinner in Royal dumpling and we thought this restaurant definitely worth good score.

We ordered a few yumcha dishes along with chicken and corn soup. All our dishes were good with lo mai kai (sticky rice wrapped with lotus leaves) being the highlight (I live 1 hr from Royal Oak and I thought the lo mai kai worth travelling to) and the least impressive dish probably chicken feet (still ok though).

We thought the service was good, the lady who served us did not talk much but she is very mindful and kind, she ensure our table are clean (example, I accidentally spill a little bit of the tea and she clean our table straight away).

The price was quite good too compared to other yum cha places. We will definitely come back for quick yumcha dinner and keen to try other dishes.
Nina
Food was absolutely yum and tasty
Dishes came out quickly and was decent sizes too. Dim sim was made fresh and steaming hot
Service was great :) would come back again

The reviews below surprise me .
I've been eating here now for 3 years .
Agree they are understaffed for the rush hours and are not always happy . ,How ever the dumplings are delicious , and always consistent . That's what I go to restaurants for good Good food . I guess others prefer happy smile service and been waited on more . This place is a very low key casual eatery that serves up dumplings as good as grand harbour .It seems Royal dumpling is always busy now . Must mean something . :)

Oozing Asian authenticity. Great food, cooked fresh, no long waits, in a socially set out restaurant. Free tea till you burst. Starters, mains, sides, desserts. This wee restaurant has it all.
Ashleigh Michelle
The service here is shocking! All of the staff were sitting around eating-no one ready to serve us. There was lots of confusion around our order, don't think they can understand English too well and all staff we came across were unfriendly. Didn't get offered any water and tea was offered when we were almost finished our meal. The restaurant is plain and not very nice to sit in.

However, the food did not dissapoint! They serve yum cha style dumpling, so I was very happy. And the bok choy was very green and fresh. The hand made dumplings were too thick for my liking though.

I would definitely recommend this for a good takeaway option! But do not come here if, like me, you expect good (friendly) service.
Cyndz Alafriz
I love the food and the prices are low for such a decent chinese food.. althoughy the order taker seems hard to speak with but she is very friendly
Pinny Quinlan
Shrimp n coriander dumplings are mint 👌👌
Service could be better.. but I love my dumplings so much I doesn't really bother me. Usually I order over the phone n pick up is always ready 😀😀
Delicious n the hit sauce is amazing 😍😍

Only can say it's just so so. Only one waitress seems not enough service all the customers at peak hour. And some dishes are difference between other restaurants. But the dumplings good and I found New Zealand people like it so much while it may not typical Chinese dumplings.
Lia Yosaatmadja
This place seems to have a lot of bad reviews for bad service. I didn't think the service was bad at all, yes they were a little slow, but they do yumcha at night!! I haven't found any other places that do yumcha at night. So im pretty happy about that 😊

I have been there a few times now, and favourite dishes are : pork shumai, steamed pork buns and the stir fried beans! They are all very reasonably priced.

We tried their dumplings, and to be fair the dumplings were not the best but they were not bad. I am definitely keen to try their other dishes.

I_like_pickles
Their dumplings are quite nice and has a decent meaty filling. I really enjoyed the pork and fennel dumplings. The fennel flavour was quite good.

The beef rice noodles were tasty and had that work seared flavour to it. Tea was served promptly and food was served reasonably quickly.

Their dining furniture needs an upgrade. Lots of the chairs are quite worn out and stained. The owner was quite friendly and the service was quick.

Food Quantity 5/5
Food Quality 5/5
Presentation 3/5
Service 4/5
Price 4/5

Best yumcha place in Royal Oak. Their yumcha does not have a large selection, however the standard yumcha items are delicious. Highly recommend their pork ribs, prawn hargao, chicken feet, deep fried squid, spicy sauce.

Their other non yumcha foods are mediocre, and dumplings are average.

I eat here 3-4 times a week!

My workplace is next door, very convenient too!

We live locally so decided to check Royal Dumplings out after I read a positive review online, particularly talking up the pork buns. And they didn't disappoint, they were really tasty, as was the sweet & sour pork and the pork and chive dumplings (although if I went back again, which I wouldn't, I would order the dumplings lightly fried instead of steamed). This is where the compliments stop. And that's because the service we received was absolutely atrocious to say the least. We arrived and a lady was sitting at the counter, she didn't acknowledge us, we asked for menu's and she flicked them our way barely looking up. We had to call her back to take our order and she stood in front of us and didn't say a word, she just glared out the window. We asked for tea for us and a water for our 2 year old, she said we could only have one or the other. The food came out in no particular order, the dumplings being last. By this time we were quite full and wanting to leave due to the hideous atmosphere. When I went up to pay, again no words muttered from this lady, I asked for a doggy bag to take the dumplings home... she basically threw a plastic container at me and left me to pack the dumplings myself. It was almost comical this service i.e. there was NO service, we were utterly perplexed, it was beyond rude. It's a shame as the food was decent, but we certainly won't be going back.

Came here as we were going past on the way to
Super market, randomly had a craving for dumplings. So glad we decided to stop here cause this will be my new fav cheap eats. Place was quite busy with what it seamed to be regulars. We ordered the shrimp & corrainder, shrimp and chives and pork buns. Two extra dishes came out that we didn't order and we got charged for. Will be back again when got our next dumpling craving
Davy C
Yea na... minimal service. And you would have think that with Dumpling in their restaurant's name, it would be their specialty, right?

Wrong! The dumpling has almost no fillings, the skin of the dumpling made up 90% of the dumpling. It was one of the worst dumpling experiences.

You are better off eating McD down the road, or drive to dominion rd for better dumpling restaurant.
Alex Louise
Ordered the Stewed Beef Noodle Soup - this is something I get regularly from several Chinese restaurants across Auckland. It was terrible! There was no beef meat in it at all, just fat. The noodles were soggy and tasted like packet noodles. Really disappointing - avoid if you're actually expecting meat in your beef soup :(
You get what you have paid for, but frustrating that plates and teacups were so oily and dirty. The lady was grumpy when I requested for a plate and teacup to replace the dirty slimy one. The rating for the restaurant is B which I didn't notice right away. The meat inside the steamed dumplings doesn't taste like meat, more of an artificial flavored meat. Please check your food before you eat as I found a black unusual thing inside the shrimp dumpling and I asked the lady and she said sorry and changed it to a new seat of dumplings. I will never eat in that place again to avoid food poisoning.

Ordered 3 Yum Cha dishes, 1 soup dish and 1 fried dumpling dish for $ 34.90 in total.

About 3 Yum Cha dishes, the short pork rib was too fat, both the chicken paws and the steamed dumplings were nice. But compare with the price of $5.30 each, it's expensive and not enough tasty.

About the soup, that's good.

About the fried dumpling, it's one of the worst in AKL. Price was $12.00 but size was too small, taste was bad. The dumplings what I ordered was pork and cumin fried dumplings, but it's impossible to see any pork meat. What I saw was just a mixture ball with some cumin and some fat.

it's a holy dinner to me.
Diner8Here
First saw this place when crawling by in heavy traffic and just happen to be stationery outside. Therefore decided to give a try, menu/decor very basic and centers around their handmade dumplings but also does the dimmy sim types, the usual rice/noodle dishes and the Chefs special dishes too. You have a choice of fry, boil or steam dumplings.
Ordered the flat rice noodle with gravy and time and time again the rice noodle is cooked to bits, chefs must remember this element (including tofu) is very fragile and must be cooked to perfection, maybe they should put the noodles on top of the gravy or just use normal egg noodles, just a thought..

Good honest Chinese food. Prawn and coriander dumplings were superb and the Prawn Wonton soup is a winner! Will definitely be back for more. Value for money.
Kathryn Eve Wells
Very nice food! Last time I was there I got the Spicy and Sour Soup which it is so yum, I'm not a spicy food fan but really enjoy this!

The dumplings are also pretty delicious, and the chili dipping just makes them 100 times better! Great Value for money too.

The staff are friendly and service is quick. We usually get take away as it is usually somewhere I go for lunch while I'm working in the area.

It is well worth trying:)

Came here for the first time this week, and whilst from the outside it doesn't look like much, the food definitely says otherwise. We ordered the homemade pork, prawn and chive dumplings, pork and peanut dumplings, deep fried squid and vermicelli noodles with roast pork and prawns. The pork and peanut dumplings were lovely, not stingy on the filling like some yum cha dumplings, and the deep fried squid was beautiful; not oily and not overdone with batter. The vermicelli had good flavour but the homemade dumplings were the best; flavoursome, fresh and a big serving at an inexpensive price. I'll definitely be back!

Located just up from the Royal oak roundabout, with a decent amount of off street parking. We planned to ordered some dumplings when we dined in here but unfortunately they did not feature any vegetarian ones on the menu which was a little disappointing.

As an alternative we ordered the Fried spicy tofu with rice (2 portions) - $16.80. The portion size of the tofu dish was big and enough for two of us to share for lunch.

Although they were not busy (Sunday afternoon) the service was average with minimal attention. The food was served promptly which was great.

I was absolutely disgusted with the service here when my partner and I came in for dinner. We were sat down without a hello and almost thrown out menus at us. The lady came back to take our order and whilst making the order she continued to speak to another customer in Chinese who was a friend or known to her while here we were trying to make a order not even able to get a word in with her continuing her conversation whilst making our order! I couldn't believe it. As we finished with our meal, I had some food I wanted to takeaway so as we went up to the counter to pay, I asked the lady if I could please have our leftovers to be takeaway. The lady frowned at me without a response and basically threw a takeaway container at me for me to do myself without saying a thing, just an awful frown on her face for absolutely no reason. Will not be coming back here ever again!! Have never come across such rudeness in my entire life! And this is someone who works in a restaurant! Still lost for words.
Ness Baxter
The dumplings were awesome - juicy, perfectly cooked - full of delicious flavour - we will be back for these for sure. The pork buns and rice in grape leaves were standard/good. The service is friendly and even the Chef had a big cheery smile :-)
Brittany Nealie
Terrible service, they seem like they are angry if you take too long to order or ask questions about the food. Buts it's DELISH, so they can get away with it, pretty cheap too. My husband and I go there often
Zara Alexzandra Young
The food was really good and the serving sizes were really big
The dumplings are nice- I prefer the fried ones though
This place also does steam boat which I tried for the first time- it was really reasonably priced too
Dee
Nice food. Dumplings are sooo good! We have tried nearly every dish at this establishment and my favourite would be the chicken & mushroom dumplings, beef and onion dumplings, spicy & sour soup, beef flat rice noodle with egg gravy, beans with olive.
Tania Dawson
We are loyal customers and regularly go here. So much so that Wendy knows what we are going to order before we do. I recommend the prawn dumplings, prawn spring rolls, deep fried squid and the wonton soup, ooh and the pork buns. We usually get the yum char menu but there are plenty of larger dishes to choose from. Just recently tried the tofu with a friend and I was really surprised I liked it because I love me meat. Really affordable I really cannot rave enough.
Kristian Morris
Our go to place for easy dinner. Kids love the all day yum Cha and the spring rolls are the bomb. It's a great place for cheap eats and has good service
Oliver Samin
From the outside, this quaint little restaurant doesn't look like a place you would go to for a good meal. Well, looks are certainly deceiving and once you taste their food, you would probably be converted! The dumplings are juicy and flavourful, the hot and sour soap is thick and filling, the fried chicken crispy and moist. You can get a good meal without breaking your budget.
Chad
Having lunch here with my son. My son love Chinese Dumplings but this time look like over cook Dumpling. Used to be very good before but we will try again next time.
Jordan Danielle
Best damn dumplings I have ever had. Definitely recommend there pork and cabbage dumplings (fried) and their fried rice damn could eat it all day long. Staff are very friendly as well!
Jonathan Hardcastle
Best dumplings in auckland! I can't keep away. Sauces are a must. Favourite dumps: cabbage, celery. Reasonably priced, and good friendly service too.
Savio Valladares
This place has new management so there is a change in menu, I would highly recommend the pork, shrinmp and chives dumplings. The noodle and dumpling soup is worth a try as well. Their choices in rice, noodle and gravy options have reduced and prettyu average

Friendly staff and quick service
NYNB
Came here for lunch with a friend, restaurant was fairly empty - possibly due to it being a sunday afternoon. Driven past several times and it does seem to get busy at dinner time during the weekdays.

Chef was very friendly, we ordered two soup noodle dishes - price was reasonable, average like most Chinese restaurants however, although the chef made the dishes to our taste in spice level, the portion size was ridiculous. A huge bowl was mainly comprised of soup/broth with bits and pieces of meat and (half?) a pack of noodles at the bottom - very disappointing. The highlight was it actually tasted really good but I didn't pay for a bowl of soup, so i personally don't think this place isn't worth visiting.

After driving past Royal City Dumpling many times I finally tried last week and I am very glad I did, it will now be my go to restaurant in Auckland for dumplings as they were truly delicious. Their pork and fennel dumplings were particularly amazing. I look forward to going back to try the noodles which also looked great. The owners are friendly and prices very reasonable.

Edit: I went back to Royal Dumpling and tried their wonton noodle soup and pork and cabbage dumplings (I ordered my favourite pork and fennel but they were out of fennel). Their menu has changed slightly from what is on here and they now have a yum char menu. The noodle soup was full of noodles and had at least 10 delicious wontons. The broth was nice but the noodles were slightly overcooked as I had had to make a stop on the way home. They could package the noodles and broth in separate containers like some places do with laksa to avoid this problem. The dumplings were good but not as good as the pork and fennel.
