Review Seoul Night - Auckland Central

Justin K
The best thing to do is to get in early. We ate about 5.30 as we had a concert to go to. It was the best time to eat as the restaurant was packed after 6.15. They were so lovely and managed to fit us at the last minute. All our food came. It was delicious, generous portion sizes, and the cocktails were yummy. It's definitely best to dine early to get your food first.

The atmosphere in Seoul Night is really vibey. The lighting has a cool neon feel but also still quite dark feeling with hints of warm oranges on the table. The service is really friendly and attentive. And their food is nice. A bit pricey for the food and drinks. But if you go with a group of people celebrating a night. It's all really worth it. Would recommend for first timers.

Immaculate and delicious food! I will definitely be coming back here. Me and my wife celebrated our 2 years anniversary here and we were having alot of fun here, the food was delicious and very good. Loved their chicken and Mac and cheese! Definitely my new favorite Korean restaraunt

Best food I've had in a long while. Definitely recommend. Slushy soju was refreshingly cold. The food was Definitely top tier for me. Ordered pork ribs and it was fall off the bone delicious. OG chicken with the sauces were so good together and we couldnt stop eating them. That mac n cheese hit the spot! Kimchi fried rice was good too. Can't wait to come back again.

I visited Seoul Night with a couple of girlfriends right around opening time on a weekday. The entrance door was cleverly disguised as a vending machine, adding a clever touch. Inside, the ambiance leaned more towards the lounge side, boasting urban decor that exuded a city feel. The menu impressed us with its wide variety, catering to all food preferences. Our order included the Yum-Yum Fried Chicken, Prawn Basil Pesto, and Miso Udon. While all the dishes were delightful, the Prawn Basil Pesto stole the show for me. To accompany our meal, we indulged in a couple of cocktails. One guest in our party fell in love with the Cloud 9 cocktail, while I personally enjoyed the refreshing and satisfying Soju Mojito. The service was excellent, with the food served promptly and everything running smoothly. Overall, it was a delightful experience that left us pleased all around. I should also mentioned 2 days later, I ordered the Prawn Basil Pesto and the Rosemary Fried Chicken via Uber Eats and again the food was yet again fantastic! This will definitely be a new go-to for me!

all of the dishes were incredible! small menu but lots of different items to choose from at the same time. just a tip - don’t order the “soju slushie” if you’re expecting an iced drink as the slushie was just like a smoothie and very thick - more a dessert than a drink with dinner. would definitely come back and dine here.

Food was quite good. Nice ambiance. Would recommend for an occasional night out.

Fun, tasty, great location and great service. Have been in many restaurants in Auckland and this continues to be my favourite. 🩷

My journey into the Korean cuisine keeps me looking for different places to eat. The chosen one this time was Seoul Night, in the CBD. I actually took a while to find, as the door look like a vending machine in the middle of a alley. Once you enter, seems like a dance club, loud sound and flashing lights. I knew that from previous reviews, so no surprises. It is good for young adults, unless you enjoy some k-pop like I do. I order spicy 🌶️ chicken and that was really spicy, took me some time to digest the whole dish. It was delicious and well prepared. You gotta enjoy hot food , otherwise it would be a nightmare to finish up. Overall, service is friendly and fast, food is decent and fairly priced.

We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. It has a nice dark alley vibe with neon lights. the food was really good and would definitely recommend. The drinks on the other hand was weak. Feels like it has been watered down and overpriced -they need to up their cocktail game in my opinion. Otherwise 4/5 first impression

So glad to have found this place in the cbd. The food was incredible and so were the cocktails! The only downside for us was where we were seated. It had a very bright spotlight on the table compared to the rest of the restaurant, which is very dark and moody (in a good way!). Service was also great. Can't wait to go back again.

Great ambience, can be a bit noisy at time, but that adds to the street food experience. Loved the Soju (got a summer special flavoured soju) and the fried chicken with their house sauce, it was incredibly delicious! Can be a bit of a wait, reserve in advance if possible!

The atmosphere is superb. The food is amazing but the staffs need to be more attentive. I love the vibe and lights which makes cosy and relax. The price is bit noe fair for the portion. Rather than that enjoyed. Make sure to book a table earlier.

Worth visiting another time. Spicy pork makes you keep eating rice. Soy glazed children is really good. The portion is really generous. Each dish feeds 3 people easily. Better to come with a few friends so that you can try more varieties. 2 people order 3 dishes maximum and need to do doggy bags. Recommended.

Seoul Night was amazing! Seriously, some of the best food in Auckland. The Mac and cheese was hands down the best I've ever had! The staff were super helpful when it came to deciding how much to order, and we really liked the soju mojito sangria. They asked us for feedback after dinner, and we had such a hard time thinking of something they could improve on. I love the basement space. It feels intimate and tucked away. A+

Incredible ! Best place in Auckland ! Foods and cocktails are amazing ! Thank so much ! Very nice evening in this place ! And the restaurant is very beautiful !
Nowelalalalala
Must try kumara pizza and tteokbokki skewers! The background music can be a bit loud/have to shout but not a problem when you’re chucking the soju shots back 😂
Charlotte
Wow! This place is truly a hidden gem. I came with my partner and we tried the kimchi fried rice, kumara pizza, original fried chicken and the chicken and cheese. The kumara pizza, original fried chicken and the kimchi fried rice was AMAZING! I definitely recommend adding these to your order if you go. Great customer service - very friendly. I recommend booking ahead of time as it gets quite busy. They have a wait list for walk in’s although that can be anywhere from 15mins - 1hr. We waited almost 2hrs to get in (miscommunication with our phone number) and got in around 11pm. However it was definitely worth the wait! The music was lit and energetic (mixture of kpop and rnb) creating a lively ambience. We can’t wait to come back and try more food from their menu.

Finally got a chance to dine here! Usually this place is way to busy for walk ins but we got lucky this time.

Firstly love the atmosphere here really takes you out of Auckland and into a very metro vibe.

Our table was quite small so we wanted to order more between the two of us but our waiter suggested we only order two dishes to fit which was a bit sad. And the lighting wasn’t all that great for photos.

Anyway, the food was amazing. I’d highly recommend trying the eggs here they’re absolutely delicious 11/10 😋 the rosemary chicken was also very interesting and had a good kick to it. Not the usual that you would expect from a Korean restaurant but still good. We go the seafood soup which had a lovely soup base and plenty of fish cake and condiments, no spice at all but a very good seafood soup.

As beverage we got the Watermelon sangria and that was really good! Tastes very similar to a melona ice cream if you know what that is, definitely will be ordering that again.

Loved this little joint, I’d say you definitely need to book a few days in advance as they only open from 5pm onwards. Perhaps if they had an online booking system it would help, either way worth the try if you can get in! ☺️
Koyal Lal
Loved the food! Kimchi fried rice had to be my favourite. Slushie was average. The food portion was good.
Racheal Tuisaula
Everything tasted delicious, worth the money we spent too. Definately return again, we ran 15 minutes late but they were soooo busy they held on to our table. So we definately made our monies worth.
SpoonMe
Good place for a get together with friends!
The menu does seem a bit pricy but it’s made to share so once you split the bill it was actually quite reasonable.
Highly recommend the grilled pork and any of the fried chicken:)
Emma
The korean fried chicken was good. Portions were great for the price. The seasoning was a little on the bland sides but it came with a selection of sauces to help make up for it. Fries were alright, nothing special, had a good seasoning on it but were really soggy from being steamed in a closed cardboard box - but thats not really a fault of the food itself. Would definitely be interested in visiting in person some time.
Joseph Nganu
Amazing food and vibe! Absolutely love coming here with friends or by myself. Great customer service and the owners and staff are really friendly and welcoming ❤
Medina
The best place in Auckland❤️
With a wonderful staff 🥰
Love the vibe 🔥 and delicious food which is very affordable.
It’s a must to visit this place, worth it😉
Doris Ma
Really good food, nice vibes, friendly and helpful staff! We ordered a couple of sojus, 2 rice wines, and 2 beers, along with 4 mains. It came to a total of $235 which is pretty standard for a Korean bar. We got the kumara pizza (so good, favourite!), spicy rice cake with cheese, fish cake pot, and dak gang jung. The portions are quite big and we were stuffed with 5 people. The dishes are not that authentic, I'd say they have a lot more sugar and cheese in them, but that's why they were so addictive and different; all dishes also have a lot of extra toppings (like the spicy rice cakes had extra dumplings etc). The dak gang Jung is a nice alternative to your usual KFC. Keen to try out their other options!
FoodieOodie95
Lowkey entrance that takes you to an amazing urban/ underground basement for a fun, relaxed soju-filled dining experience. Best for group dining and sharing plates. Looove the vibe, service and food, including their take on different types of rice cakes. fried chicken, pork belly, and more. Been here twice now and both times have been fun experiences. Try to make a booking if possible as they’re usually packed!
LilianMonaghan
Please must try their rice cake skewers, so chewy and full of flavours. And their fried chicken was delicious as well. The only downside of tonight was the two drinks that we had. One was strawberry and another was watermelon both tasted a bit bitter and kinda weird. Otherwise, everything’s perfect.
Mami
Jugs were decently priced and very nice, the food there was also very good.
Anthony Baker
Amazing place to eat! Staff were very friendly and accommodating right as we walked in the door. Really good food for a good price too! I wil be coming back here again soon!
Brave Eat
Very good selections of food and drinks. The bar it self looks amazing with neon lignts and intetesting vending machine entrance door. The service was really good thr staff are very helpful and always smiling. I have to give extra credit to their bathroom, ladies bathroom have all from dry shampoo to perfumes the restaurant owner really put alot of thoughts into it. Their crispy pork and mango rice wine is amazing.
Aimee
Our favourite go-to dinner spot. Friendly staff, good service and good vibes. The food is never a let down and comes out rather fast. Highly recommend. Pictured: Rosemary Fried Chicken, Kumara Pizza and Rice Cake Skewers with Deep Fried Egg - $65 for 2 people
Renie
Unique entrance in the shape of a vending machine. The inside vibe was great - filled with youth and fun! The food was alright - slightly expensive but expected at a Korean bar in Auckland. It was great that the toilets were equipped with makeup tools for the ladies! Overall good experience and would return :)
Tania
The food here is amazing and the staff are super friendly. Great music too. Such a hidden gem!

Seoul Night✨ a hidden gem in Fort Lane. Their entrance can be a little tricky to find😅 Great vibes, loved the neon signs, and mural on Korean drinking culture. A great place for a night out with casual drinking and authentic Korean bites 🍗🍻 Other than the soju + beer mix suggested on the wall, it was also tasty mixing their sodas with fruit sojus, we tried 🥛milk soda + peach soju and it tasted delicious!
One dish I highly recommend getting @seoulnightnz is their 🍡🍡rice cake skewers + deep fried eggs🥚, this street food snack combo is the bomb 💥
💲Price $30/person (also on @gifticon_official for discounted prices)
😋Taste 4.5/5
📍CBD

Went here with a bunch of friends for a birthday, their service was really good. They were really sweet and fast. Every dish we ordered was of good quantity and tasted really good! Would definitely go back here.

Recommend the rosemary fried chicken, it’s spicy and yummy, the lotus roots and rice cakes in this dish are nice as well.
EatR
Chicken is super fresh and juicy. Even you eat it on the next day it is still fresh. For myself, I prefer the original one. The hot one is too spicy that let my stomach feels uncomfortable. The only thing that a little bit sad is it is too expensive. 10 pieces for $40. And the store cut 1 thigh to 2 pieces
Silvia Lin
Food was super delicious! We ordered rosemary chicken, original fried chicken, steak-chop, fish cake soup and something else I cant exactly recall. Every single dish stood out on its own. Rate them 10/10 for taste, texture, presentation and portion. Each person of our group paid 18 bucks only and felt content. It was the best dining experience so far out of all Korean restaurants in Auckland. The waiters and waitresses who served us were also sincere and considerate. Highly recommend!

💸 Cash me outside, how about that

Literally hidden away on Fort Street behind a vending machine door is Seoul night 🇰🇷🌃 Love the ambience and the music here. The services were very good and the staff was very attentive and helpful 💁🏻‍♀️We had ordered Creamy Carbonara Rice Cake, Kimchi Arancini, Rice Cake Skewers. They were all delicious and we couldn't finish off the Creamy Carbonara Rice Cake since the portion was massive and became too creamy and cheesy for us towards the end 🧀 but who doesn't like it when you have enough for leftovers the next day 🥡🤭 Can't wait to come back, been constantly craving for their rice cake skewers 🤤🤦🏻‍♀️
This is an awesome place for a group of friends to eat and drink since it has a range of food and a variety of different drinks to choose from.
For all my ladies out there the ladies bathrooms here are pimped out with accessories and perfume 🏵️🌸
Celebrated my friend's birthday yesterday at Seoul Night and it was good. The taste and presentation of the food was good. The atmosphere was good if you're there to get lit. I don't remember the name of the drink we had but the Lemon one was really good. Service was really good and staff were very polite.
Shuyi Wang
This is a staple place to go with a bunch of friends because of their sharing portion sizes and environment. Must-trys here are the rosemary or original fried chicken! We also had other dishes such as the kumara pizza which was soft, pillow-y and full of flavour, the spicy rice cakes and chicken and cheese which are all to die for. The staff are so attentive and helpful with ordering, refilling water etc. Only con is that it's always a bit hot and the ambient lighting (although is moody and aesthetic), it gets hard on the eyes.

Food - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Service - 5/5

We had the Spicy Chicken and Melted Mozzarella Cheese⁣⁣. The spicy chicken itself is good but the mozzarella cheese tasted a bit weird and has a slightly almost chalky texture. It tasted like cheap supermarket bought mozzarella cheese. ⁣

We also got the Original Korean Fried Chicken. The chicken was fried and seasoned well, golden brown and crispy on the outside. By itself it was your usual plain fried chicken which is good but what made it stand out was the garlic, soya sauce and honey dip on the side along with the pickled radish. The sweet plum sauce tasted a bit weird to me.

The last dish was the Ramyun, we got it because my girlfriend said she wanted something soupy and I read one of the reviews here that said the ramyun was not the regular ramyun but the restaurant did something to it that made it taste really good and way better than regular ramyun. Boy, that review couldn't be more off point. It was just regular ramyun with an egg and spring onions on top. Probably the most expensive ramyun I've ever eaten at $9. We joked that the person who wrote the review must be high or drunk or something to think that the Ramyun was way better than regular ramyun.
⁣
Service was top notch even if it was busy. The waiter came and replaced the water jugs frequently, the food came out quick and the waiters were friendly and helpful.⁣

My korean friend took me their for some dinner with Soju(i love it!).
Staff was kind, the mood of the restaurant was ok..price was...👀⁉️
But most of all food was horrible.
The Bulgogi Pizza-do some more work. Visual of the food..looked like vomited food of Shrek.
Korean Freid Chicken-2/5 (too soggy, too greasy)
Dora The Food Explorer
What!? How can a simple ramyun taste so good. was expecting regular nong shim instant noodles but these guys have managed to make instant noodles taste so good. The flavour was next level. and dont get me started on the Rosemary fried chicken. perfect seasoning and presented so well with the deep fried lotus root and rice cakes. well worth the 30 bucks. would definitely pop back during another night out.

I have been to this place three times now, and each time was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff are friendly, the environment is dim and moody (not the best for photos but sets the ambience well). The food is generally well-portioned and tastes great.

I would recommend the fried chicken, the spicy rice cake, the crispy pork belly, and the rice cake side.
Drinks wise, the soju is priced alright at $16 a bottle. The jugs are also reasonably priced but very, very sweet and not with a lot of alcohol in them. Of the jugs, I would recommend the lemon crush as it tastes like lemonade.

Overall, would definitely recommend this place for a group booking as the dishes are sharing portions. Also make sure everyone can enjoy spicy food as some of the dishes are relatively spicy (but this is normal for many korean dishes).

p.s. the bathrooms are very nice and well-stocked with amenities. Have also heard the mens bathroom has a touch-screen mirror. (Just a nice touch)
Ilenia Chandra
Honestly 10/10 would get lit here 🤩😍 Ambience and interior is really unique and aesthetic for a night bar, bathroom is too die for lol. Definitely share food here, ~$16 each will get the table fed and fed well. Rosemary Chicken was the star of the night, but also the Bulgogi pizza was a cheesy delight with a special kumara base. Will be back to try more of their surprisingly extensive menu (for a bar) and of course, more of their soju concoctions!
Emma
Dining in for 4 people. First time to the place. Great environment and decoration. The food was fabulous and amazing. Love the service that provided.

Will definitely advise to walk in.
Benedict Uy
Located in Fort Street, the doors of the restaurant is a vending machine so it is kinda easy to identify. It does have a fairly large dining area but it was quite packed when we were there with tables being reserved.

We had a range of different dishes and they all looked quite good. The food ranged from fried chicken to a kumara pizza to nabe soup. They also had a range of different drinks, we had different flavours of the rice wines and they were alcoholic, fruity slushies. I quite liked the mango one.

Really nice food and interesting drinks so it is a nice place for a meal if you can get a table.
Tgan
Amazing Food! Presentation and flavour was outstanding. LOVE the music too. Shoutout to Rosemary, she explained to us the dishes so well and gave good recommendations! We will definitely be coming back again for dinner and drinks!

This place was mad popping! Went here with my work mates and man it was so busy we had to wait 10 min just to get a table. (They gave us a call when the place was available)
The service was amazing. The waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Great ambience, honestly speaking it's a mean place to come grab some drinks. Chill music too
Food: we ordered the original fried chicken, rice cakes (big bowl looking thing) and pork belly. The food took awhile to come out but the portion sizes made up for it.
Pork belly unfortunately lacked some seasoning or general flavour. But the chicken was crispy and fish cakes were decent.
Definitely recommend this place for a good after work drinks type thing. Will definitely come here again and maybe try some other stuff

We went here to try their korean fried chicken. We arrived around 7:45 pm and ordered right away. After 30 minutes of waiting, the staff came to confirm our order because the kitchen was apparently very busy and got confused. The staff reassured us that our food should come in about 10 mins and brought us some snacks. After another 15 minutes, food still was not ready. We ended up having to leave after 45 mins of waiting for our food which was never ready in the end. The staff at the counter even said the order has only been 15 mins ago which definitely shows the order was not even processed in the first place. Very disappointing!

Wish I could say something about the food, unfortunately it never arrived.

Despite the bad experience, I must say the vibe and the decor was very cool and interesting.

Been here wayy too many times & it never disappoints. Every dish has its own unique taste. I love the vibe of the place, also music is spot on👌🏼 these little things real add an amazing dine-in experience. Staff is very accomodating and waiting-time for food is not too long unless peak hours (15-20 minutes still - ive waited longer at others). Price is very reasonable for the portion & especially for the quality you get. Definitely one of my favourite places
Darren Big Belly
Great environment and decor, great cocktails. Haven't had their food yet but I hear it's pretty good as well. There's a bouncer outside to check ID. the over all atmosphere was pretty good. Music was a little loud where we sat though. Had to scream a bit to talk lol

Awesome and great night to spent with bunch of colleagues and foods are amazingly delicious. Love the ambience and the music which is definitely recommend this place for hangout place for Korean food lover

Nice place to hang with friends on weekend night. Food was good, kumara pizza was so good. Spicy chicken was however very spicy. Atmosphere was sort of too loud so not very suitable if you come here for a chat.
Tony Ma
A very gangster ghetto location and great vibe. Entrance is very cool too with the vending machine entrance.

Food was great, but takes a while to come out. No smoking area. But easy access to the front door.

Will be back again.

Service: 4/5
Environment: 4/5
Presentation: 4/5
Food Quality: 4/5
Food Quantity: 4/5
Price per person: $30-$80
Andy
Amazing place for a late dinner right in the heart of the city and an atmosphere that matches the name. It might be a bit difficult to spot from the outside, but the interior more than makes up for that.

Absolutely loved Seoul Night! Great atmosphere and service. My friends and I arrived and they were full but we didn’t want to miss this opportunity so we agreed to be wait listed. They literally called within minutes. Flavours unlike anything I have tasted, big portions and definitely worth the money. Truly a great experience. Definitely recommend to anyone!
Jordynrndle
Seoul Night was honestly faultless. Our group ordered the original KFC, Chicken & Cheese and a few Lemon Crush Soju Sangrias and everything was delicious. The portions are generous and the service was perfect. Highly recommend.
Food Lover For Life
Staff was polite and constantly thoughtful. They didn't even wait for the water jug to almost finish but instead changed it everytime the half way margin was passed.
The food is soo good. Spicy but not too much to think you might regret the next day. Try the secret menu dessert. 😍😍😍❤❤
The ambiance was great. To top it all off omg the bathroom, wtf I thought I was in a hotel.

2 friends and I walked in on a Monday night after uni.Ordered the Fish Cake soup (오뎅탕), Original KFC (후라이드치킨) and Spicy Rice Cakes (떡볶이).The soup was nice and savoury but also had a slight kick that really made it sooo tasty. The KFC was fresh, hot and not too greasy. Great alone but also a great pairing with the given sauces. The 떡볶이 was my favourite. When you first taste it, it is sweet and then slowly develops into a yummy spice and dipping the 튀김(fried foods) in it was a great experience.
Vivian C
We came here for their soft opening night which was quite exciting. We ordered an Original KFC (후라이드치킨), Korean Grilled Pork (돼지불백), and two soju sangrias - Watermelon Blush and Lemon Crush.

The chicken was definitely a standout as it was extremely crispy and juicy. The pork was flavourful and smokey and the two sangrias tasted fresh and fruity.

Service was very friendly and welcoming while the interior was modern and cozy. The only downside is that prices are quite high considering the portion sizes are on the smaller side for sharing. However, a great experience nonetheless.

Seoul night is tucked in the small alleyway of fort street but the entrance to this restaurant will catch your eye for sure.

Decided to give it a try as was craving for Korean. Ambience was alright, a bit too dark for my liking, service was great and portions were good too.

Seoul Night is by far my friends and my favourite places to eat, drink and chill. It is now my go-to whenever I am in the city in the evening.

The decor gives you a very calm, yet cool vibe with fairy lights hanging off the ceiling and creative walls.
The service there is always impeccable. Friendly staff who always attends to our needs.

They serve some of my favourite drinks including fruit flavoured rice wines (which tastes like a mix of a smoothie and rice wine), and flavoured cocktails made with soju.

After trying most of the food off the menu, I can confidently say that each and every one of them are unique, flavourful, and of high standard. The food is also well presented and garnished which is perfect for Instagram gurus!

Overall, always a 5/5 experience.
Clarice Natasha
Friendly staffs, good ambience, and also the food are not too expensive for its’ size. Also a really good place for soju cocktails! Would highly recommend if you just want a fun night, although they’re usually fully booked!
Aimee.
My friends and I have been here so many times now and we are never disappointed with the service, food or drinks. The staff are all super friendly, patient and attentive. The customer service is a lot better than other Auckland Korean bars. They let you charge your phone and offer complimentary cute cosmetics in the girls bathroom. They menu is extensive and affordable and the ambience is funky and unique. I recommend the watermelon soju as they use fresh watermelon.

No photos for once because I always forget to take photos when I come here.

Atmosphere, food, decorations, service and even their toilet is so fancy.

Ordered this Korean Gin-like drink called “Hwayo”
And they gave us lemon and ice to go with them.
Ordered 2 canned drinks and they gave us glass ice and metal straw to go with em w o w.

Perfect for your first dates, tinder dates or to find new and shoot your shot 🌝
Came here for Valentines evening with my favourite gal pal and we got the chicken nanban which was my absolute fave. The chicken was soft and sweet. We asked for the egg tartare on the side which we dipped the lotus chips into and it was amazing. Cannot rave enough about this dish and would 100% order the same thing again (usually rare for me!). We also got the kumara pizza where the mash kumara acted as the base - If you love your melted cheese, this one is for you!! At the end of the evening, at the payment counter, the guy surprised us with packets of Ferrero Rocher and said, “Happy Valentines!”
Tina Crooks
Stumbled across this awesome new spot when walking along Fort St. A really unique entryway that looks like a vending machine that definitely caught our eye!

We only got drinks this time and no food - but the menu and instagram pictures amazing, we will be back soon for sure. The 'Kumara Pizza' looks to die for - the ultimate cheat meal.
Really enjoyed the wide range of drinks served, with so many varieties of Soju to enjoy.

Restaurant's ambience and environment was great with awesome neon lights and what was probably the best bathroom I've ever used in Auckland (ladies - there's makeup wipes, dry shampoo, mouthwash, perfume.... everything you could ever want in a bathroom). Service was A+.
Highly recommend :) 5 Stars!

From what I can remember of this night, the food and service were top notch. Atmosphere was great for drinks and the lighting favors those with Asian flush haha.. Bottoms up ✌️

All I remember was stumbling around fort street looking dying for some food and seeing some funky blue lightening with an electric canary lettering of Seoul. Couldn’t remember the full extent of our orders but I recall the sesame fried chicken and the bulgogi pot being favorites. The fried chicken came out as a healthy large portion, it was crisp and the sweetness did wonders for my intoxicated taste bud.

I fondly remember everyone spooning through the Bulgogi and commenting on how great it was. One of those dishes that would taste amazing with rice, I would recommend this as a dish to pick up. Also wanted to shout out the staff working at Seoul Night a bunch of incredible lads who serviced with helpfulness and respect having needed to put up with a lot of drunkards.

Showstopper: The bulgogi and sesame fried chicken. A lit spot to kick of your night of good times.

Overall Grade: B+

Seoul Night is hidden away on Fort Lane behind a bright red door which leads into a fairy light lit bar and restaurant. Upon entering the door, you will be greeted by the friendly staff and a menu of Korean speciality foods and drinks.

Their spicy rice cake has pieces of squid which taste so amazingly good and the fried chicken comes with disposable gloves so you can eat without getting your hands greasy.

They provide amenities in the girls bathroom, which is super handy including makeup wipes, deodorant and chapstick!

I’ve been quite a few times to try their different cocktails, highly recommend the watermelon soju!

5/5 ✨
Shell
Visited on a quiet wed evening and had the steak and kumara pizza with a watermelon soju sangria, the steak was pretty nice with it being drenched in a tonkatsu sauce-like brown sauce and served with fried rice worked very well. The kumara pizza was unexpected, served a lil different where we cant pick up on hand like what we would expect with pizza and we are not provided knife and use only fork, the fillings worked together well though overall satisfying meal. The watermelon soju sangria is just what you would expect, some watermelon and soju with sprite? Would rather recommend just normal soju if u were expecting something big though. We were provided with waffles served with fruits as service and they were as good as the mains even though it was a free service. Fresh fruit and hot served waffles were great and hope to see them on the menu as well in the future so we can come back for them. Few lil down side though, too loud music to sit and talk in and lightings bad for food photos other than that food and staffs were all up to high standards.
Donna Xu
The staff are really nice, they r very friendly and create good conversation. Overall, it is a really good environment for drinks with friends but don’t fully have your expectations on the food to be overly special. It is a little pricy but what isn’t these days 😂 this is my favourite bar/restaurant at the moment I would really advise you to give it a try

***EDIT ---- Their food has definitely improved, I really enjoyed their bulgogi (which has a hint of spiciness from chilli) and I’ve recently tried their Soy Glazed chicken which is reasonably priced with a lot of chicken, and has a nice sauce to it which goes well with the shoestring fries served together. I must say the salad served as a side is a bonus as well!

For those of you who can’t handle alcohol, try the lemon soju that is served here as this is a sweet cocktail drink that makes soju drinkable.
***

A trendy Korean pub targeted for the ladies. The interiors of the hall, decoration of the tables/walls and especially entrance door is cute and done up very well. The girls bathroom has a range of ‘emergency essentials’ such as perfume, cotton pads, Vaseline, lip balm (apparently the men’s bathroom doesn’t have these essentials) and the bathroom mirror is high tech with lights adjust when the mirror is touched.
The hall staff working were young looking guys, and very friendly. There were around 6 people working during the weekend so service was prompt.
I ordered the Chicken Nanban, which is presented on a cute wooden board with chicken (might be deep fried and softened with sauce) with smashed egg salad on top along with plenty of green salad and renkon chips. I loved the green salad and renkon chips as these were light whereas the chicken + egg salad together can get heavy - so you get a bit of both in this dish. The price of the menu is very cheap for what you get. The egg salad and chicken tastes good if eaten separately but I personally didn’t like the taste of the two together. Other dishes on the menu looked unique and they are not your average Korean pub menu.

Outstanding service and delicious food! Ordered the Chicken Nanban and the Spicy Rice cake dish. Order the Soju Mojito too! The Chicken Nanban was delicious! Was served with egg tartare on top, salad, and lotus chips. The spicy rice cake was cooked perfectly, not too chewy and hard. There were deep fried dumplings, deep fried squid and some fish cakes too! The sauce is a mix if both sweet and spicy. A great place to hang out with friends!

Seoul night has a great ambiance and music selection. The staff are friendly and our meals were good too. My friends and I would come back again soon. :)
