Review Guangzhou Restaurant - Auckland Central

Real Cantonese fresh Chinese food as it should be. Best use BYO for wine if you like red wine though. There is a great wine store in the lane just around the corner in lane. I love T'Chow style hot and sour soup and there's is one of the best I have tasted anywhere!

Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!
I'm going to be honest here. I came when I was quiet drunk and it was about 11 something I don't remember even eating how ever I messaged my friend I was with and he said it was amazing, the service was good friendly stuff, and the fish was so full of flavour and soft.

I'll have to go back then do another review :-)

I had the worst experience in this restaurant.
The tea given was with perfume, chemical smell. After having it I had severe kidney pain And still having the pain. The sweet corn soup had excessive salt in it. When I asked about the salt the staff said, if you come to Chineese restaurant it is like that. One plate seafood, chicken fried rice $20 which does not have any sea food in it. The staff said, you cannot see any seafood in the rice, but only can smell the seafood. The staff was very rude. Will never go there again. Investigations to be made about the tea they use in restaurant. When I arrived no customers were there. Unprofessional staffs were sitting here and there. They charge extra for credit card in spite of very high price. Very sub standard restaurant with high price.

Asked for vegetarian and seafood only. Presented a dish, staff assured it had no meat. When a large chunk of beef was shown, he shrugged shoulders and said he was new here.

Price: very expensive, double what it should be
Quality: food ok, one dish was very one dimensional though
Service: three staff, all playing on their phones

Not a great dining experience, right down to cheap single paper towel instead of napkins. A cheap restaurant charging as if it is more than it is. I won't be back here and don't recommend it.
It was alright nothing great, there are better restaurants. The service was slow and the staff did not understand my allergies. Good enough to check it out once!

Authentic and delicious food with good portions but the price definitely hinders you from going too often. It's one of those places that you would go for a special occasion.

We ordered the chicken with special three sauces, fried tofu and vegetables and a small bowl of corn soup. Flavours are good and although slightly pricey, servings are generous.

Good customer service is always the least thing you will expect from a Chinese restaurant.. This one is such an exception? !! Come back next time for the seafood, for sure ✌?
2 of us ordered 3 dishes- couldn't finish! Food wasn't super but good enough to me, very generous portion, very reasonable price! (Complimentary dessert given at the end of the meal- green bean porridge?) Yeeee, that's how we eat the fish~ the head, the tail everything hahahahah.
Saw this place open on Hobson St- its quite new I think?

Anyways, short review, but I went there with a few Chinese friends last night and it was pretty good. Not mind-baffling Chinese seafood, but definitely hits the right spots.

The place looks great and really "traditional", as upscale Chinese restaurants would in China/Taiwan. A little bit on the pricey side but their quality and quantity definitely make up for it.

Would recommend going as a group of at least 4+ to really experience the place

Specialised in Fresh Seafood. Prawns were amazing, tried Chinese tea for the first time and its good. Staff are attentive and value for money. Make sure when you order soup you order small, since it is enough for 4 persons.
