Enjoy a traditional English roast. Choice of small, medium & large plate of all different types of veggie, potatoes, kumara & pumpkin. Roast pork was soft & delicious except non crunchy skin topped by a traditional gravy. Southern fried chicken was tender with crunchy skin. A good choice would be separate the main dish from all its side dish instead of all on top of each other. Additional salt & pepper(non fresh pepper punch). A suggestion of a drink with the set meal would go a long way for an enjoyable meal

Lamb shank was good, but could be better. It's tender but not soft enough to cut using a wooden fork and a wooden knife on a paper plate, and worse it made the whole thing unpleasant in the process.

Ate here with a small group, we were very impressed with quality and quantity of the food. Really good flavours, the meats weren't dried out and everyone was full. We had the bacon toasted sandwich, small roast pork dinner, lamb shanks, roast beef roll and a couple of apple crumbles between us. One of the best mall / fast type roast meals we have tried. Will go here again.

Had the fried chicken with roast veges, beautiful flavour and texture just the right amount of seasoning in my opinion. definitely the crispiest fried chicken I've had from any roast shop and great tasting gravy on top, 4/5 and I will definitely reccomend and return.

I have always love the roast pork in this place. It is the best one i have tried among the roast pork out there in auckland. It can be quite salty for some people who prefer a blander taste but definitely the best one if you really want it crispy and yummy. They have other food aside from the roast pork and they definitely taste better than the other shops but it is still the roast pork that i always get.

Taste & quality is often very good. Only a few times I have been disappointed. A downside is the price. It's gotten very expensive compared to a few years ago.

I went to Roast in Westfield Albany mall on 24th July 2020 at around 7:30 pm to grab my dinner. A lady waring a mask was extremely rude, I kindly asked her for a beef Sandwich for Combo, She just looked so rude and angry and dumped my order to the other stuff. And she didn’t even get my order right ( I asked for combo which Is supposed to come with 2 potatoes and a drink but she just gave me a sandwich) And food was cold and not nice too. I always come to Albany mall and often use their food court, but I will never go back there. It almost ruined my night with my friends.

I love a good roast and although Yorkshire roast has delivered in the past, the last 2 times I have come the service has been bad and they have been out of stock on menu items. The place is called Yorkshire roast and they never have any Yorkshire puddings available despite listing it on their menu, when I asked if they had some out back they said no. The lady serving my carrots and peas took no time to drain the water out of the spoon and splashed water all over my plate, when I asked her to drain the water off she gave me a sour look. My kumara was raw in the middle, literally crunchy. I do enjoy the roast potatoes and pumpkins and the lamb was cooked nice. Unfortunately a roast isn’t complete without the Yorkshire pudding and raw kumara and soggy watery plates left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Came here for lunch today and was very pleasantly surprised. After reading mixed reviews was a little weary but overall my meal was enjoyable. I ordered the small pork roast and given plenty of food and quick service. My pumpkin was happily switched out for an extra potato and the meat was tender and tasteful. The odd carrot was undercooked and the crackling a little salty but overall a very tasty meal

This place used to be one of my go to places in the mall for food. Unfortunately time hasn’t done this place well, and it feels like they use cheap ingredients for the food. I went today (5/8/18) at 12:30 and they had already run out of green beans and pumpkin, although we’re happy to replace it with Kumara, which I won’t complain about. However the gravy tasted like goop. It doesn’t cost much to add some salt into the gravy, and it was just very overly disappointing. Don’t really think I’d return, I’d much rather go to subway or Mexicali Fresh in all honesty.

I ordered the lager pork, and only got very little bit of meat, one small piece of skin. I don’t think this is the portion for LARGE. So I asked for more skin, the girl who works they said to me that they have to sell to other customers, and her face was so bad. She made me feel so regret that I have ordered food in this place. Bad service attitude!

We used to come here for lunch when we came to this mall. We believe we are not coming back any more. It is pity. When I visited last time, we were served by 2 men (usually women). I ordered mid size roast meal for husband, a staff cut very tiny beef. Even another staff told him " It's for mid meal. It's too small" but the man who prepared meat was ignore, and I got tiny amount of meat for mid meal. And small potatoes and kumura, small spoon of pea. It was not usual amount. The was nearly $14. It's not worth it. Often happened, some business became popular, then they tried to cut cost. Then they loose business. Good luck.

Come here on my break sometimes as i work closely. Always busy around lunchtime but they work very fast. The food is always good and huge portions yum! Pictured is lamb shank.

Unpleasant experience today. Staff tried to tell me how to do my job when supporting young man with disability...despite the noise and my own hearing impairment I didn't get what the woman said. They chose to argue with me and lost my business. Won't be getting it again!

This is a very busy place due to its location in a shopping mall. The food I bought was relatively cheap, just over $7. It was also quite tasty for shopping mall food. I even lamented I didn't get more on the day! I know its a shopping mall and its busy, but their service is quite minimal. It would be nice to great some smiley faces than cold ones.

As a European I had hard time adjusting to New Zealand's fast food chains. To much junk food and too much Asian food which is mostly unhealthy. When I had a meal in Yorkshire Roast I was speechless. It was everything that I was looking for - cheap health cooked food. Roast in St Lukes was very good, not dry at all as some post suggest. The sheer of amount of food with such variety of vegetables at such low price for me was unseen in New Zealand. If I want to eat something similar I usually have to go to mid-range restaurant and pay a hefty price. This place will become one of my no-brainers.

Our family 4 ordered roast beef meal size M, but when we started eat meals, we notice meet actually lam,not beef. We all dislike lam, so we ordered beef. It was 2:30pm and only we were customers. They don't know which one is beef or lam? We already started eating and staff are not friendly, so we finished meals not asking changing to beef. Addition to give us wrong order, roast lam wad not good portion. All reviews said meal volume is big, but although we had 3 potatoes, pumpkin, kumura and small veggie, main roast meet was a half of amount compare to last time. We didn't order roast potato dish, we ordered roast beef meal. Maybe because of time ( after lunch time) so they don't have enough roast beef, but maybe they decided to something they still have (which is lam) to sell us each small portion even we paid M size. Although we all hate lam, taste are OK. However we feel like they cheat us. After I read all good review, I am very disappointed. I even feel sad. And why they look like angry? No staff said even hello to us. I paid more than $50.

Had a lunch at this nice restaurant in May 16, it is part of a food court in the Westfield Mall, Albany in Auckland. The quality and quantity was adequate and can be rated as value for money.

Don't often you find a roast place in the mall. This has exceeded our expectations (although service is only so so), we had their large beef '$16.90' which comes with 6 potatoes, 4 kumaras, plenty of sliced roast beef (abit on the dry side but saved by the generous tasty gravy) and veges (beans, corns, peas, carrots). Pretty reasonably priced for a large when shared with two people. Happy filled tummy!

Have returned to eat here a number of times. Food quality isnt on top of the world, but portion sizes are really good for the price you pay. Their yorkshire puddings however are to-die-for *dribbles slightly*

This place is inside Albany mall. The offer roasted beef, lamb, chicken, and pork, with your choice of everything as corn, peas, beans, potatoes, pumpkin, carrot and kumara. The also add a gravy sauce on top if you like. The taste is very good, strong and rich. I'll go there again. Definitely.

Stopped by for lunch this past week and decided to go with something a little different to the usual sushi or Asian inspired food choices available. Ordered a lamb sandwich combo from here which came with two (very yummy, very large) looking roast potatoes and your roast lamb sandwich. You get to choose what Veges you want to add to the sandwich, opt for mint sauce or no, and the usual salt & pepper. All I can say is that I demolished the food in short order. The potatoes were golden and crispy and exactly what you would expect from a roasted potato. You could tell when the meat was being prepped that it was obviously falling off the bone so... So far so good. The taste was perfect and the meat was succulent and juicy... Not dry at all. It was certainly a very satisfying lunch so will happily stop by again. Highly recommend this place for a good lunch that hits the spot. Happy customer.

Indifferent service and okay price. I also don't understand how they manage to serve dry meat when they have several people behind the counter and a steady number of customers. Mine was the same both times I have bought roast from here. And the Yorkshire pudding. I wouldn't touch that with a ten feet pole if I was starving. Its dry, doughy and just sad. Its like they are trying really hard to be bad just because they are in a food court. My visits were not worth the money. May be yours will be better. Food 1.5/5, Service 2/5, Price 3/5
