Review Fresh - Auckland Central

This is a new bubble tea place in town!!! Coco is very popular in Asia, and I am very excited to see it in Auckland! We ordered three guys and a dragon fruit drink, which are all very nice! I recommend ordering in little (30%) or half sugar… Very friendly staff and a clean environment. Pay wave and credit card payments will incur a surcharge.

Bubble tea is good, lucky for me to get a Diablo4 postcard! Very happy.

Hand the trophy to Coco. They won!! Well done!! Best victory and comeback I ever seen. Drinks tastes nice. Store is amazing. Only problem the boba was a bit hard but that’s fixable. Highly recommend!! 好喝!好喝!好喝!

Reasonable pricing and nice flavour! I will come back again :)

Stopped by for dessert after seeing the menu. The pictures on the menu board and posters look really nice and the food the comes out actually looks like it. Had the Chocolate and cookie snowflake and it was amazing. It wasn't overly sweet but had nice flavours. The cookie gave a nice texture and the combination of the cream, chocolate, cookie and snowflake was really nice. Would come back to try other flavours like the mango one. The snowflake comes in two sizes, the small is around $10 and the large around $16. They also serve other items other than the snowflake like dessert toast and savoury food.

Been here numerous times but this time I had to leave a review. I was greeted with warm smile and excellent service and although it was almost packed, my order arrived in a minute. Tried this cheesecake recommended to me and man, it is indeed a new favourite. Will come back again!

The drinks are good and the staff were very nice.

I really like their fruit drinks, it’s so fresh and delicious

Nice and cozy

My wife loved the milk tea here

Found another place for beautiful delicious desserts! We had mango cheesecake waffles, green tea latte, and okinawa black sugar milk tea. The tea tastes good, just like the one you get in Japan.

Perfect place for desserts.... love to visit the place again n again... superb service.... love to see smiling staff....

Great service, good variety of drinks and food to choose from. Ambiance is great here and I would definitely recommend this cafe!

Service is so amazing here. Food is great. Lovely environment. Now my favourite cafe ever.

I went with a friend this was our third time trying the Korean shaved ice dessert and we got the mango this was by far the yummiest one we have tried so far. We got the mango and it was really creamy and delicious :) 5/5 yummy

First time trying, probably last. <br/><br/>The drink was incredibly bland, like drinking water. I think they made a mistake. <br/><br/>The meat cake was very very salty...<br/><br/>The mango ice cheesecake was nice. But I think there was actual slice of cheese on top. Not for me. <br/><br/>Overall... not that great, but ok to snack on while watching tv or movie. <br/><br/>Service: 3/5<br/>Food Quality: 2/5<br/>Food Quantity: 2/5<br/>Presentation: 3/5<br/>Price per person: $15-$20

I work on Shortland street and there is always a variety of food available. I wanted something different this time. The burger here was ok (I tried the pork) and only by itself is $6. So did not expect much and pretty much satiated my hunger at that time. Nothing exceptional but still ok for what its worth.

One of my favourite places to hang out and have a summery treat. Very cute and warm atmosphere, and the staff are always helpful. Cannot visit without having their shaved ice desserts. So many options! The large bowls can serve up to three people. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to hang out with friends away from the summer heat.
Meeka
Tried the mango shaved ice and it was definitely worth it, if you’re not too much of a sweet tooth I recommend sharing with someone but it’s a cute place to take someone on a date or just a nice catch up with a friend, overall a nice experience

I haven't been to many cafe's in my lifetime (probably need to go to more then lol) but Fresh is definitely a fav. They are very intricate with detailing and decorating their deserts. The food is oh so scrumptious... YASS FRESH! Please purchase the album 'Fifth Harmony' on iTunes, Google Music and stream on Spotify :P

Lovely place to hangout with a small group friends. They even offer you blankets! Staff are very friendly. <br/>We ordered Strawberry cream labeled “healthiest dessert on the planet”, Mango CheeseCake and Waffle Chicken. The desserts were great- I highly recommend their cheesecake selection! Their waffles however is a bit dry..I believe it was reheated (it didn’t taste freshly made) but it wasn’t awful either. Will be back =)<br/>

Every time I visit this place Im always greeted with a warm welcome from staff and great customer service. The desserts and food that are provided are excellent, and cleanliness is something I don't have to worry about with Fresh. I recommend this place to anyone who is wanting a quiet place to relax, or friends who are due for catching up. Its a great place to be.

My sister bought me here for the first time and I was impressed once I stepped inside. Even though it is small, it is honestly one of the best places for Korean Dessert. I am so happy I know of this place and I have been coming here constantly with my sister.<br/><br/>My favourites are the Mixed Berry Smoothie alongside the Mango Cheesecake Shaced Ice. And with the food being at a reasonable price. The staff is just amazing. Friendly, Happy and perfect for this cozy place.<br/><br/>If you ever happen to walk by here. You should try it. You won't regret anything. They even have blankets if you're cold. What else is better than that. Bsides that, I would honestly recommend this place for small families and for anyone that is willing to try something new.

I love coming to this place. Always great service and good vibes. My favourite item on the menu would have to be the mango and cheesecake shaved ice. The small shaved ice might be much for one person but is ideal for 2. Highly recommend trying this place out.

A cafe I was introduced to in May this year. I have tried other Korean dessert cafes and Fresh by far has to be my favourite. I've since become an advocate for fresh and there are many reasons for this. The variety in menu will ensure you try almost everything not only to enjoy but to also review and then pick your favourites. The selection in drinks is awesome as I easily go from herbal tea to an iced coffee or to a matcha latte when I'm craving Matcha. The service is great everytime I've been and the cosy-ness of the cafe makes you feel at home! In less than a year, I have introduced many family members and friends to Fresh and all so far have enjoyed their experiences. Trust me when I say that you'll enjoy just as much as I did my first time. And if you don't - Not to worry at all as their awesome staff will do everything they can to make it right and make your experience a good one. Definitely try the nutella banana waffles and the matcha latte if you plan on going! They are all time faves!!!

Sweet satisfaction! Our experience at Fresh has never been amazing, thanks to awesome dessert choices complemented with polite and cheerful staff. I had Mango & Cheesecake Snowflake (shaved ice dessert) and it was really good 😊! <br/>I will definitely come back for more ... very soon.
Keyi2mm
I ordered this Mango milk drink with milk foam on it. Surprisingly disappointing. As you can see the bottom of the cup are pure syrup and the foam that's I supposed to be tricky and creamy was very very light. <br/>I wouldn't recommend this drink. <br/>Though as far as I have tried, the ice and burger are pretty nice.
Thom
Have only tried the shaved ice selections and so far all of them are pretty satisfactory. A really nice and cute place for hangouts. The staff are just lovely. Quite keen to try their savoury menu too just never got around to hang here for full meals. Totally recommend the desserts!

After having been to snowman and mellow as well, I have to say that fresh has the best customer service both times I've been, and the atmosphere is cosier. I feel more comfortable going here and much more welcome. Although it is smaller so not ideal for very large groups. Shaved ice is good, the matcha tea my friend ordered was average so maybe try other ones. Will be back to try the toast.
Aimee.
My friend and I decided to try out this place as it's still fairly new. There were a lot of options for shaved ice and some unique flavours like red bean. Our blueberry shaved ice came with a generous portion of actual blueberries and presentation was nice.

Beyond words how to describe these heavenly treats. I grew up where Starbucks rule the nation, but you won't miss it one bit if you visit AKL and Fresh for some caffeine fix. <br/><br/>IMO, this Matcha Cheesecake puts to shame those claiming to have 100+ years old tradition of preparing matcha products. The texture was velvety yet smooth. It had a very rich genuine matcha flavor to it. Couldn't stop complimenting it. <br/><br/>The Soy Flat White was perfectly crafted to fit my coffee parameters. It was potent and bold yet the milk managed to make the whole thing so magical to my palate and nose. <br/><br/>Service was commendable and the place was Instagram-worthy.

Definitely deserves a 5 star! The waitress is great, extremely nice and will cater to any of your problems. The waffles and toast were pretty good in my opinion but the ice shavings were the best since the shaved ice was flavored just right so it didn't taste bland after the ice cream and cheesecake topping was finished. Great dining environment, FREE wifi, blankets, will definitely come again :)
Julie
Went there a few times, the latte is definitely worth a try! As they have very creative ones, my personal favourite is the white tiramisu latte. But the food there is not as good. But service is excellent, the staff or owner is really sweet (put a paper towel around my hot latte).<br/>White tiramisu latte (4.5/5)<br/>Great taste, very smooth with the milk, is a big cup for $5.50. And I like how they are very creative with the coffee by having different unique flavours. Definitely worth a try. The only improvement would be a pretty latte art.<br/>Bacon, squid waffle (2.5/5)<br/>Sounds amazing, looks great. But the waffle is too dry, you can't eat the waffle with the bacon and squid as it is too big to fit. But the squid is fried nicely and the bacon is nice and crispy as well. <br/>Kumara chips (4/5)<br/>Beautifully fried, not burnt and sweet & crispy just how I like it. Only criticism is that $6.60 for a small cone is a bit too pricy. <br/>

Awesome place to got to. We had a brownie, it's was very tasty and it looks good in photos. Great service, the place is nice and clean. Would fully recommend.

Fresh's specialty is the Korean shaved ice dessert known as Sulbing. Finally went there to try it and was a bit disappointed as the display photo looks way better than the actual thing. <br/><br/>Nevertheless, the shaved ice is decently tasty - we ordered the Injeolmi Sulbing and Fresh Strawberry Sulbing. There's also the option of a small and large sizes - we had the small to share between two and that was more than enough!<br/><br/>Their Nutella hot chocolate is pretty good - with hints of Nutella. Normally I'd avoid these types of drinks as they can be sickeningly sweet, but I wouldn't mind going back for theirs.<br/><br/>I've also tried their buns and savoury items on the menu previously and didn't enjoy it as much. It's not bad, it's just that I've had better. So, each to their own I guess - try it for yourself. <br/><br/>Great decor too - it has a very cosy and modern feel. The place is not particularly big, so great for smaller groups of 2-4. If you have a big group, I think they do have a large table on the inside, but you might want to call and book. <br/><br/><br/><br/>

Recommendable place for dessert cafe. Desserts were beautiful and also best service and coffee. Staffs are kind and they have decent interior.

Snow series is great, fresh fruit, surup and snow flake proportion made just right for a dessert not so rich but tastes delicious. Most importantly the staff there are very friendly. We had an amzing birthday surprise there. Thanks for your support!
Christine
Fresh is a cozy little cafe and there are many similar dessert parlours near here. I ordered the Strawberry toast and the Chicken waffles. The girl who served us was sweet and nice. However I must say I was pretty disappointed with the food. The strawberry toast had canned strawberry used which was dead and stale.  I understand that they may be unavailable due to seasonal reasons, but other cafes stop making certain desserts if they are not in season and I reckon that is a better choice than to serve old preserved strawberries/fruit. The chicken was delicious though - crispy and well flavored.

Fresh is an undeniably fitting name for this small dessert place. This café serves one of the best bingsoos that i've tried and i will definitely come back here to try all the flavours they serve. Their bingsoo is a must try.

Our regular dessert haunt at night. It's a cosy little place and we tend to stick to the same red bean/injeolmi dessert. The coffee is great and so is the waffle chicken (although what was delivered wasn't the same as the picture in the menu). The staff is friendly as well. We'll be back whenever we get a chance.

Was waiting for long to go there as they have all excellent reviews. Very nice attractive interior. Mouth watering good looking korean dessert shop. But didn't like their food may be because of super high expectation. And bit pricey as well.

Delicious food 👌🏼 i love a great dessert place. Would definitely come back. Small potion was way too much for one so i recommend sharing it if you're a light eater. I had cheesecake & mango and also got to taste almonds and cheesecake. <br/><br/>Great location but wish there was some music to set the vibe and enhance the athmosphere than just the sounds of busy traffic outside. Its clean, presentable and the staff was very friendly.

The nice lady made me a sugar free iced green tea latte. The chicken salad was great too. Very fast service. Clean. Fresh salad. All around nice and surprising for a hole in the wall. 20 bucks for a healthy meal. Will come back.

Had a takeaway cronut, think they kept too long in the cabinet. The cronut was dry, hard, tasteless, biting like paper, hard to swallow.<br/>Throw away after one bite<br/>

Our first time to try snow flakes but we were amazed and we loved it since then. Very soft in our throat. We also like their burger buns very unique! Plus the unlimited water. Will surely eat here again and again.

Some friends took me to this place for dessert and it honestly look very nice! From the food in the cabinet to the food on the menu. One of my friend said that their shaved ice was the best. Buy I'm not a fan of shaved ice... So I opted for something else instead. <br/><br/>I got the 'strawberry toast' and I was quite disappointed. The strawberries on menu were fresh strawberries -that's why I ordered it. But when it arrived, they were strawberries in syrup. Like honestly I didn't mind they were canned strawberries but don't display on your menu that they're fresh. So deceiving 😒 <br/><br/>Other than that, yes the shaved ice was good and one of my friends ordered the brownie and that was ok. Standard brownies served. Presentation of the desserts was cool.<br/><br/>Overall, this place is nice -although while we were there, there was this loud banging noise out the back. Like hammering metal or something. Not the best thing to listen to while dining out either 😒 good service here too.
Mujtaba Ahadi
Really friendly service and my order arrived in a very reasonable time. I ordered the chocolate and cookie shaved ice cream dessert and my friend ordered a brownie with ice cream dessert. Definitely looking forward to the next time I visit this place.

i love this place 'freash'<br/>this place have nice snow flakes and i tried chocolate&cookie and it was really good. service are nice and staffs are friendly.

Best cafe Ive ever been to! <br/>Nice exterior and interior, love the music, the atmosphere, and the food!!! <br/>The staff here are absolutely FAB! <br/>Nice to come here for desserts and coffee during the summer ❤️
Jemma
Fresh always delivers great food, dessert and service! The snowflake desserts are delicious, especially the chocolate cookie flavour. I am also addicted to the steak fries and the nutella hot chocolates are delicious and cheap. So nice to always be greeted with a smile and Karen does an excellent job behind the counter :)
Balesanarennie
Absolutely love this place! The food is incredible, especially the snow flake desserts. The coffee is always made to a very high standard. My friends and I are often served by Karen, who is always greets us with a smile and remembers all of our names as well as our orders! She makes amazing coffee too! She is always a friendly face at Fresh cafe.

We literally come here everyday! The food is AMAZING (especially the snowflake menu, we have one every time we come) and on top of that, the staff are so friendly!!!

Would love to leave a review for this place but this happened.....<br/><br/>Checked on zomato that they close on 11pm on Saturday and arrived just a bit after 10pm last night only to find that they are closed. <br/><br/>Maybe zomato hours aren't updated, that's alright. But then we saw the big notice on the front door that Xmas opening hours has now changed to closing at 11pm on Saturdays. <br/><br/>Dear admin, pls kindly update your info online as there really are people relying on these information and drive all the way into the CBD just to try u guys out

This is such a cute place. Came here straight after lunch for dessert around 2pm. I was already full but somehow still had room for dessert. Anyway, ended up ordering the shaved ice. We chose to buy 2 small shaved ice cream for 3 of us. We ordered the small Injeomi ice cream for $9.50 and a small Chocolate and cookies and cream for $12.50. The chocolate one was a bit too expensive and had way too much whipped cream, like half of it was whipped cream disguised in chocolate shavings and a few Oreo bits at the bottom. I didn't like the injeomi ice cream much because it didn't have too much flavour and had a weird taste. It kinda tasted like rice. It lacked sweetness. The chocolate one had more flavour but both of them didn't impress me that much. I prefer shaved ice at another shaved ice place. The interior is really cute though. It's a little pricey at $22 for both however my experience overall was not bad at all. The lady at the cashier seemed friendly and nice. Might come back in the future when I'm not super full beforehand. I would recommend they lessen the whipped cream in the chocolate shaved ice cream because it's too filling and fattening lol. The injeomi needs more flavour/sweetness (it didn't really work for me). Overall, it's a nice place.
Manic Diner
Dined here after work with a friend last week and ordered the chicken waffle, chocolate frappe and Mexican chicken with kumara fries. The chicken was nice but the waffle was hard and dry. The chocolate frappe looked great but tasted awful..there was definitely more ice and a watered down chocolate taste - I felt robbed. I had high expectations of this place but left very disappointed.

Got in out of curiosity,  was quite surprised. i took a pork burger combo with bit of salad and a hot chocolate. the burger was nicely crunchy and the meat was soft and juicy! Next time I'll definitely  have the same!
Elsie
Great ambiance with great desserts! No wonder they are awarded. Their shaved ice is awesome, so fine and smooth. You will never get tongue blister. Highly recommended!

I had the injeolmi and ricecake snowflake, it was really lovely. The ice were very soft and the texture was very much like snow. Melts instantly in my mouth. In my opinion, a small snowflake is definitely enough for 2 people to share. Will definitely come back to try the other flavours.

Me and my husband went to try this cafe in the evening.  For savouries, we ordered the pulled pork bun and the crispy chicken waffle.  They were ok not very special.   The pulled pork needs more flavour and the waffle is quite thick and dry.  With more maple syrup you can appreciate this better (they gave us a little extra which was good :)).    However,  we really enjoyed their fresh mango snowflakes with mango ice cream on top. It was delicious.  <br/><br/>This place is ideal for coffee and desserts and if you want to spend time chatting with friends.  We would be back for desserts definitely.
Jan Jadman
Tried the Injeolmi snowflakes and green tea cheesecake. Since i am a sweet tooth person,Injeolmi doesn't satisfy my craving for sweets. But the green tea cheesecake was so good and satisfying tho! I will surely come back and try the other flavours. This is a must try asian dessert in Akl cbd. 😊
Ashlene Cheryl Cardoza
Fresh has always been on my list of places to visit as I was very intrigued with Asian desserts. I ordered the small mango snowflake. Don't let the word 'small' fool you. These desserts are definitely made to share. The dessert was very good. I love that they gave condensed milk on the side as I have a major sweeth tooth and my husband doesn't, so we could really find a good balance. Definitely coming back to try other things from their menu

We were craving for serious desserts. This place is the best in the city so far. That Nutella hot chocolate was the best. I got chicken waffles and its really good. We left really happy.

Tried some dessert on the weekend, the shop is pretty full, but the service is very good. Friendly shop attendant, and pretty fast service.<br/>Highly recommended

Very cosy little restaurant on the corner of High Street, walked past and decided to give it a try! As I was not that hungry, I ordered the waffles with berries, ice cream and chocolate sauce, along with a mocha. Unfortunately, the waffles came out to me stone-cold and rather soggy as if they weren't fresh (excuse the pun). I asked for it to be remade as it was cold without trouble, second time they were still very lukewarm, but at least crunchy this time around. The berries and ice cream mix were very delicious with the waffles. The menu had a few spelling and grammar mistakes also which isn't a major issue, just a small pet peeve of mine. Overall it was a nice place, I may return and give the savoury menu a go!
Veronica Te
Delicious cheesecake and they serve a deconstructed iced chocolate. Would not recommend their waffles unless you enjoy crunchy waffles... Free wi-fi and relaxing atmosphere. Also they staff are always friendly. Finally, their cabinets always offer a great range of sweets that are always delicious but they are not consistent with what they have on offer.
Eggster Eats
Got a cronut as a little bite to eat and although it was nice I felt I was overpowered by the amount of sugar there was. It was sugary laden with chocolate and almonds. Might try something a little less sweeter next time.
Kirsten
Was hungry all day and I finally got to come here! I ordered the Beef burger, the mango sulbing and green tea and red bean bingsoo (small). The beef burger was really nice and full of flavours, gives you a little kick with that spice! Then the bingsoo came and I found the mango much better than the green tea one. They were both served with a small cup of syrup, I think, which was cool! The green tea was just full of green tea powder, and I think Snowman Cafe does it better. But nonetheless, enjoyed my dining experience here, and I am willing to give their cabinet food a go! The girl who served us was absolutely lovely!

Dropped by today after hearing a lot of good things..ordered the pork and lamb burgers & a mango shaved ice..it was tasty..the pork buns tasted like pork floss..the shaved ice was not bad but it came with a scoop of choc chip ice cream.mango+choc chip..interesting combination

Went into this place for lunch today. Ordered an Asian burger and steak fries.<br/><br/>The burger was really amazing and excellent value for $6.00. I'd never had a burger like that before, crazily delicious.<br/><br/>Fries were just standard. Not all that great. I won't buy them again.<br/><br/>However, the service was impeccable. The person who served me was extremely nice and extremely polite. <br/><br/>The decor is very nice too.<br/><br/>I intend to come here again many times in the future.

■ Awesome Service<br/>■ Great selection<br/>■ Reasonably priced<br/><br/>Dropped into Mellow for a light evening snack. Their Classic Pork Pita was tasty and filling. Im not a huge fan of Kumara fries but these ones were topped lightly with Chilli and weren't too bad. I reckon the Waffles & Chicken are a little overpriced for how much they serve but they tasted good nonetheless. I always tell my friends that haven't tried fried chicken/waffles together before that its honestly the weirdest and greatest combo that just works. Its somehow the perfect blend of sweet and savoury!<br/><br/>What stood out for me the most though was the service. They are so warm and welcoming!! Prices are reasonable considering thats its in such a popular location and its an exciting little joint for Uni students. They have a huuuge selection of Sulbing and Honey toast flavours and they all look very promising. I'll have to pop in here to try some of these out when the weather warms up a bit!
Frank
A fresh new place on High St with fresh new styling. Can't remember what used to be there, possibly another shisha smoke house, but now it has been transformed into a clean modern shave ice cafe with some Asian burgers and other odds and ends. There is inside and outside seating, all nicely decorated. I had the Mexican chicken wrap, but felt it was probably better just called a chicken and salad wrap (needed some avocado or salsa..) Otherwise quite impressed with the cabinet cake selections and intrigued to try an Asian burger at some point!
Kylie
I've been here several times and I really enjoy it every time! The first few times I only tried their snowflake / shaved ice and the flavours are really unique - I prefer it to Snowman for sure. My favourite is the mango cheesecake, and the small is enough for 2 people.<br/>Their toast is really nice, presentation is excellent but perhaps a bit pricey for what you get. <br/><br/>The staff are always nice and I love the atmosphere they have going on. I'm definitely looking forward to returning :)
May I.
Nice area, clean, friendly service but a bit tight. Many shaved ice and dessert toast options, but slightly pricey for the serving size. Beef burger for $6.00 was bland. Chicken salad was ok, nothing too special.
CrazyCatLady_EmmaC
Quite a nice little place, clean with modern deco. We ordered a ice mocha and fresh mango shaved ice. Ice mocha was semi deconstruct so you can add the amount of chocolate milk you like. Shaved ice was pretty good, we ordered a small one and it was just nice sharing between two.
Ben Ch
Visited for the first time tonight after passing by numerous times and was pleasantly delighted. <br/><br/>The Injeolmi with rice cakes bingsu was very well done and it was nice to see availability in small and large sizes.<br/><br/>Will definitely be back to try the Asian burgers and toast options 😊

I came here with my sister and our friend before I left for Sweden in mid-April. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, they made ordering very easy and made it so we received one ice after the other instead of eating two at the same time. We ordered the Injeolmi Sulbing and the Red Bean and Green Tea Sulbing as well as two burger combos and a burger on its own. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was perfect for hanging out. They also had free wifi which is always a bonus, except for when it turns everyone into phone zombies. I'll definitely be returning here in the near future!

Had the 12 dollar special chinese burger, salad and coffee. chinese burger was on the small side. salad was nothing exciting, just a few leafs. the coffee was nice tasting. overall, it just didn't fill me up. elsewhere you get bigger portions for a similar price. the service was very average, the man there seemed a bit bored with his job. <br/><br/>this is an expensive place, so prepare to fork out $$$.
Gray070428
Cafe had nice atmosphere, very modern and tidy but the biggest let down is the foods and drinks and the service was poor as well....where can I start...my daughter order passion fruit macaroon was nice unti she order ice chocolate drink that contained a small glass ice cube and chocolate sauce drizzle on top with a small jug on milk....honestly didn't go down well....the service was intimidating to my young daughter asking her what else she want....she ended up having a Fanta....for the price of a ice chocolate....that's the first ice chocolate I came across that taste terrible....as for the cronut was disappointing,we couldn't cut into it,almost like meat jerky....my pork hamburger combo wasn't to bad until the burger was the size of my daughter Palm <br/>of her hand, combo come with salad and coffee...I thought burger come with salad in there anyway.....oh yeah the kumara chips came 15min late after my burger being eaten....kumara chip was the star attraction....but came out disatisfied...and the cost of $32....the guy that serve me needs English lesson and good customers service lesson.....some how some body drop the ball....<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>

Heard so many great things about this place from friends so were super keen to try it out for ourselves! <br/><br/>Husband had the iced coffee which he found more on the bitter side, though an espresso lover might enjoyed it. We also ordered their recommend injeomi shaved ice. It was divine, served with injeomi powder, condensed milk, nuts, and homemade sticky rice. Though husband and I shared one since it was quite big, I probably could finish it by myself since it is so delicious!<br/><br/>Very lovely and relaxing atmosphere. Keen to visit again an try their Chinese burgers.

Walked past this place after dinner and I was very intrigued to try!<br/><br/> This little establishment has such a cute vibe to it. Modern decor with lots of greenery elements. Love it.<br/><br/> We ordered the mango dish, tropical fresh smoothie and a mocha. <br/> Presentation is definitely a strong point of theirs! I really enjoyed my smoothie, although I felt it was very bananary which I didn't mind but you lost a lot of the other flavours in the drink. I'm a bit of a straw biter so unfortunately I bit my straw and it broke 😫 I could still drink out of it just a heads up haha. <br/><br/> The mocha was very bitter and needed sugar, however we couldn't find any sugar on the surrounding tables or on the counter we should've asked the staff but drank it anyways lol. <br/><br/> The Mango dish was very interesting! The shaved white ice was really good and drizzling it with the watered down condensed milk made it so yum! I wasn't a fan of the ice cream ball however, I think it was almond flavoured and I really dislike artificial almond flavours (which is what it tasted like to me). The flavours worked really well together and I enjoyed most of it (just not the ice cream) <br/><br/> This little place is so cute for a date night or just a dessert night hehe.<br/> I'll definitely be back to try they're patisseries and the rest of the menu!
Jhk
I had an injealmi sulbing and it was just like thr one in Korea! Really loved it and i will definately come back for it. Not only that, this place has a plenty of cabinet food/desert options for you to choose from. Good place for all.
Anastasia Kadir
The shaved ice is much better than I thought. I don't taste any crystal ice but it's more milky which is good. Also they have something like plain mochi inside. It give a chewy texture. <br/>The cafe design is nice, it's modern and comfortable. The staffs also friendly.
Athena
Went there on a saturday afternoon we were greeted quickly! They had very nice looking desserts and we ordered the choc and caramel eclaires- they were both reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. We had them take away but would surely go back to try more things.

Cute lil place, nice vibe. Definitely get the meat burgers (ignore the chicken) very well flavored and reminded me of China. Good value for its price; haven't tried the other stuff but the dessert seems interesting.

Finally managed to pop into this lovely decorated little cafe on High Street for lunch today! I was really keen on trying their shaved ice desserts, however since it was quite cold today (also I got put off by the price which was $16 for one), I ordered a hearty Chinese burger instead! They were actually very well done and it reminded me of a classic Street food in China. The "burgers" are really buns filled with meat and some Asian spices! I'd like to have at least a little bit of vegetable to go with it as it was quite meaty! But both the flavor and the price was really good :)

I went there for coffee and ask what bean do they use. They said it's organic coffee bean from Australia (Victoria ) so I thought that gonna be good!. When I got my coffee and first sip it was not that good. They should hire barista that have more experience about making coffee. Coffee was too hot it's burn my tongue and it take all the favour and aroma from coffee away. I spend $4.5 for nothing. Macaroons look so dry. It's look very cheap. They make it bigger than normally and it $3.00 for macaroons that too expensive. The decoration and the shop is perfectly. I love the idea and the colour. It's out standing from others cafe but better to improve food and beverage. Just one of customer opinion hope when I go back I can get better cup of coffee.

Only had the Chinese burgers here ($5 each) I think it's nice but not authentic enough, I don't blame them as this is a European cafe shop but I wouldn't order that again. I did hear the waffle and chicken is really nice and their desserts are better so I will go back to try it. But the prices are a bit too high compared to other dessert shops.

Nice and cozy cafe to enjoy brunch, good coffee, Asian desserts, and beautiful pasteries. Very clean environment both inside and outside, and staff are polite and enthusiatic.<br/><br/>It's great to see cold brew coffee available, and serving method and presentation is lovely with option of cold water, and a side of sugar syrup.<br/><br/>The in jeol mi bingsu was generously given to us to try for free on the day we were there. The polite staff member told us that was a new serving size as the usual serving size is a big bowl.<br/><br/>The bingsu itself was DELICIOUS! The milk flavoured shaved ice was so soft and fluffy, and at the same time did not melt very fast either. The bean powder swirls within the shaved ice made it a very good mixture and combination as the ice wasn't too sweet and the powder was. It is definitely one that is worth trying whether that be single or large serving.<br/><br/>I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu as well as the beautiful and delicate treats in the cabinent. Fresh Cafe, 화이팅!!!

I was walking to the train with my bf and we suddenly felt like trying a new café, and so along the way we came across with this new cafe along high street,so we decided to give it a shot. So my ratings are...<br/><br/>*Service: 5/5 - very nice & friendly <br/>*Drinks: 4/5 - legit tasted as it should & lived up to their name 'fresh' 😊 <br/>*Food: 3/5 - only had Kumara chips cause we weren't too hungry..(under their snack menu) and I thought for the portion it was a bit on the pricey side, but still good regardless just what you'd expect a Kumara would taste.<br/>*Overall: 4/5 - pricey but would definitely go back for that almond nutty drink and perhaps try their main meals or their shaved ice 😊<br/><br/>@zomatostudents

Love the setting of the cafe. Had the American breakfast - waffle with chicken breast and my sister had the classic burger combo . Food is good and the lady that serve us is efficient. Definitely gave us a good impression. Will come back for more food !! ☺️

This place is the latest cafe addition to High St and has all your needs, from coffees and iced teas, to brunch, and desserts. The cabinets are full of sweet treats like cakes, macarons, muffins etc. The Sulbing aka Korean shaved ice is different to Patbingsoo in the fact that it's made entirely of milk so it's creamier and complements the fruit flavours well. The snow ice resembles desiccated coconut and the combination of their toppings make it the perfect summer dessert! I have only tried two flavours (Injeolmi sulbing and Mango sulbing) and I highly recommend them both. The prices are on the high side however, which makes it quite hard deciding whether to come here or to its competitors who do it cheaper for more.<br/><br/>The cafe is super relaxing with the cutest decor, especially the outside seating area with the artificial grass and it feels like you've escaped the business-like city vibes for a bit. The staff are the loveliest people ever, especially the lady who served us the first time- she was really friendly and helpful about explaining everything as they just opened.

This place was delicious. The people were friendly and the presentation of food was excellent (but not so styled that you can't eat it). The burgers were a good deal for high street but smaller than expected from the photo. Will definitely recommend and go again. The iced coffee was delivered in 2 parts and was a fun change. The Korean desserts were very different and certainly worth a try. Share it with someone else though, they're pricy and the serving size is huge

I tried the combo breakfast. One Chinese burger with salad and one coffee, the fresh meat gave me a new taste of the traditional Chinese food! All the staffs are very friendly and serve fast!<br/>Highly recommend and will try the desert next time!!

Cute cafe on High St which serves a range of food and desserts. Tried their Mexican chicken which was amazing as it was tender and went great with the complimentary sauce. Their shaved ice (red bean and green tea, rice ball and almond) looked adorable and also tasted great, one is probably enough to feed 2-3 people. <br/>I would come back with friends next time as it's within cbd and close to uni :)

I really like the warm smile from a female kiwi staff there. Very lovely price. Umm ... next time I will try the iced dessert items with friends.

The environment is very lovely, love the whole concept and decoration :) the food is amazing but I'm alittle disappointed with the food me and my friend ordered its a mango sulbing the food is different from the photo up there :( but overall not a bad place to hang out or catch up with friends!

We found this place in our way back to home when you were looking for a coffee.<br/><br/>It's a small but quite smart place located on the top of high-street. This place is a sort of cafe but also specialized in Korean desserts. Because the menu was quite exotic, we decided to give it a try in one of their sweets. They recommend us to try Injeolmi Sulbing. It's a cold dessert served in a bowl with frozen shaved milk, almost like a snow with nuts and other ingredients, it's quite unique.<br/><br/>The dessert was fantastic, very well presented, tasteful, nice texture but it's definitely something you have to get use to especially if you are not Asian or have never tried this sort of stuff.<br/><br/>People on this place are also incredibly friendly, nice and in a good vibe.<br/><br/>If you are walking around on CDB close to high-street on this summer, I strongly recommend you give a try to this place.

Walking down High Street, you might have noticed the new cafe on the block, namely Fresh. Their white neon sign filled with white coffee cups is hard to pass by and this cafe is definitely not one to miss! <br/><br/>All the staff were very welcoming when we arrived which was nice on the rainy morning that we visited and friendly throughout the whole time we were there. We ordered two takeaway coffees – a flat white and a cappuccino, extra hot. Both lived up to expectations and it was the first time I didn’t need to add sweetener to my coffee – bonus! <br/><br/>While the pastry cabinet looked a bit tired, what stood out was their macarons, with flavours such as mango, chocolate, lemon, blackcurrent and raspberry. They are not like the five star macarons you will find at Miann and Milse, but they are pretty good for cafe standard – we ordered one each of the mango and chocolate and both were sweet, had great texture and flavourful fillings. <br/><br/>If you are looking for something more substantial, Fresh also serves a range of burgers (the pork marinated in Chinese five spice is right up my alley), various pastries, and most surprising of all – Sulbing, a Korean dessert with shaved milk ice, fruit and toppings. Having never tried one before, now is my chance to do so! <br/><br/>Overall, Fresh is a great addition to High Street. The coffee is great, the service friendly and the food menu sounds exciting, plus they have free Wi-Fi - I will definitely be back!

Another new addition to the Asian dessert trend, Fresh is a newly opened up cafe right next to the convenience store and a few meters away from Mellow. A lot of the things on their menu aren't available yet, but teverything looks extremely promising with the bonus of having everything being made of 100% organic and local ingredients.<br/><br/>Fresh offers normal cafe food + beverages such as eggs Benedict served on homemade waffles and salmon/bacon ( $15.50), big breakfasts and french toast, as well as 'Chinese burgers' which price at around $5 to $5.50; these are pretty much asian burgers where panfried naan like flat breads are used to hold a portion of meat ( only the pork option is available at the moment though). BUT the best part about this cafe  is their Sulbings on offer which is made up of 100% shaved milk ice; they have around 5 flavours including mango, strawberry, injeolmi, greentea and mixed berries. Waffles, honeytoast, macarons and chocolate fondant cakes can also be bought from the cafe *_*<br/><br/>So far from their savory menu, I've only had the chance to try the 'classic' Chinese burger which consists of pork stewed in Chinese five spices for hoursss and served with little cubes of capsicum. At $5, this wasn't too bad for a snack as the pork itself was pretty tasty, but it was quite oily and bland overall due to the bread to pork ratio letting it down slightly. 6/10<br/><br/>The real star of the show was the Injeolmi Sulbing. Hands down the best I've tried so far; 10/10 ! At only $14.40, the sulbing is comprised of a pile of shaved milk ice, a whole heap of injeolmi powder, almonds, and the best part; homemade rice cakes! They serve this with a side of diluted condensed milk too which is poured over the dish. The size is a perfect portion to share between 2-3 people, but I would likely solo this one the next time round as it's seriously amazing.  Only downside is that they are only available in one size, but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you try this!<br/><br/>Fresh will definitely fit in well on High Street's scene and will no doubt be popular with the students when Uni starts. The staff are extremely friendly and informative, in particularly the french waitress and the Korean guy who I think is the owner of the store. Prices are reasonable and the sulbing is top notch. Definitely returning soon (for the third time )when their menu is more well established to try all their other dessert stuff.<br/><br/>Must try: Injeolmi Sulbing
