Purchased a lamb pie and a coffee in the middle of a 6hour road trip.
Good grief. It was sensational. The pie was, dare I say it...perfect.
Lovely family run business and my fellow diners were thoroughly impressed with their pies, quiches and milkshakes.

The best bakery in New Zealand. I have frequented this place for years. Their pies are outstanding, their sandwich rolls are phenomenal. The buns are a feature on their own with the lovely toppings on top of them, AND THEN you have the sandwich filling - oh wow! Perhaps they could ease up on the mayo on the inside. But STILL the best bakery in NZ... love the hangover pie too WOW!!!

Stopped here on the way to Auckland with my Mum who reccomended it. Wow! The pies are full of real meat (not like the jelly meat filled pies that you can't get away from nowadays) and the pastry is not too thick either. Best pie I've had in years!! It takes me back to what pies used to be like (even another customer said to the owners that it was the best pie he had in a while too) I also ordered a thickshake and it did not dissapoint also, Mum had a sip and she said it was the best shes tasted in a long time. Not too sweet and just the right consistency. I will definately be coming back next time I pass through Welsford.
