People can dine in and should scan a code on the table to order online. We had a whole chicken with 2 large sides. The hot sauce for the whole chicken was delicious. Peri peri kumara chips and corn on the cob with butter were tasty too. Just the corn cobs and some parts of the chicken were burned, so tasted bitter… But fast service though.

This was pretty much par for the course for Nandos. The restaurant was clean, if a little tired looking but the facilities were otherwise good. Toilets were on-site, and parking was better than expected.
Staff were friendly and efficient, but unfortunately, they don't take cash payments. This was a little problematic for us as we were from overseas.
The restaurant is spacious, and seating is comfortable. There are no steps. All of which would normally lead to an excellent disabled access score. Unfortunately, the front door is so heavy that I had to help my wife open it and keep it open. Recommend that Nandos replace the door with a sliding one.

This was my first time having Nando's and am not disappointed!
Four of us went for a midweek dinner here and decided the best option was to get s share platter between us all. Would definitely recommend this option if you want a sample of a few things and not pay more as individuals.
All up i think we paid around 70 or just under for the platter and a bottled drink each. Not too bad considering how good the food was. Can honestly say i will be back to try anything qith their delicious bbq sauce on! Our chicken was cooked to perfection, chips crispy and service was very fast.
Will be back again for sure to try more from the menu.

This particular nandos was totally awesome. Especially after the recent Renovations this place looks really beautifully. The ambiance and decor was lovely. The staff was also nice. It was totally packed when we went. The food was nicely presented and seemed fresh. The only thing was that the parking was hard to find. Still great experience and highly recommended.

Came in here to have dinner before going to a movie at the Hollywood Avondale . The restaurant was clean and tidy . The staff were attentive. The meal came promptly and was nice .

Timed it and when we asked if they’ve finished making our meals they are starting to cook now...30 minutes after paying. They made food for others before us even though we ordered first and their uber orders. But to pay up for it without asking they upgraded our sides and gave us a free dessert.

Nandos is by far one of my favourite fast food places, and this branch being my local means I'm there often. Their takeaway food is fresh and the periperi chips are perfect. Staff are always friendly and accommodating, store is also kept very clean

I called them several times to order the food for takeaway buy they didn’t pick up the phone. When I went to store they just simply apologised. Thats not how it works guys!! Very poor service in the restaurant and lengthy wait. Uber Eats orders are given the priority over diners waiting patiently at their tables.<br/>Go elsewhere if possible, because otherwise you'll be waiting for over an hour for your food.

Didn't wait long for food which was great but when i got to my last chicken tender, i realised i would have been happy to wait a little bit longer if it meant my chicken was cooked. It literally looked like a straight up raw chicken breast and i can confirm it felt like one in my mouth. I told the front of house person that my chicken was raw and she said oh do you want some more? Um no thanks, one raw tender was enough for me! I walked away without an apology or a refund or anything whihc i thought was a bit naff.

I bought a box of quarter chicken and found a bug crawling inside. Then it crawled directly onto my hand. After killing it, I found it looked like a small cockroach. I was sick that the store didn't keep the box in a clean place, and there were even cockroaches that could climb into the box. It's really disgusting, and who would have expected to eat a chicken leg and find it crawling over by a cockroach?

cannot fault the chicken and those awesome flavors however chips seem to have taken on a chewy texture . Establishments serving vegeatarian fare must prepare the food in a vegetarian friendly environment. My daughter ordered the vegetables and found a piece of liver at the bottom of the dish. This is probably due to sloppiness at the preparation table.

Food is amazing, but ordering take away over the phone is freaking impossible. Your hold music is a screaming dial up sound from the 90's and after a 1minute wait you'll get hung up on. Just wait the 15minute cook time in store, it's worth it.

Nando's is one of my favourite food joints here in Auckland. We have been to this place couple of time now. This time was not an exception. Warm greetings. Ease of ordering the food and it is at you table on time. We ordered the full chicken with hot sauce and a coleslaw. It wqs delicious.

This is a popular food chain known for its peri peri chicken flavor. I am very fond of spicy food so I genuinely love this place. There is no alternative to Nando's chicken and the peri peri fries. Though a bit unhealthy, it seems like a perfect meal to me. So, its a great place but I think considering the quantity, it may seem a little bit overpriced. But they offer a special south african flavor which you can't really find elsewhere, so that is alright!!

I usually go to the one in New Lynn and its so good. And pretty much always have the baby back ribs. They are so juicy. Love the sauce they are cooked in. And i like spicy stuff so i mix the hot sauce they provide as well.<br/>Have also tried Paella and found it a little dry. But its good.<br/>I am never disappointed with the ribs.<br/>Keep the good work going guys.

Bought takeaway dinner from Nandoos yesterday for family of six. Two whole chicken plus three sides. Came home to open the food parcel and found the Cole slaw stinking! It was completely spoiled and we had to throw it into the dustbin immediately . Probably,they didn't bother to throw away the food after the power outage in Newlynn for three days.The service under the new management is very poor compared to the old one. Will not be visiting this place again.

Great place to have a quick meal! We shared a family feast among 3 people and we all left with full stomaches. I love how I can try so many different peri peri sauces! Chicken was cooked perfectly and tender. I loved the BBQ ribs that came with the whole chicken. I could eat 10 of them because they are so nice!! Coleslaw was a bit of let down tho,, It was pretty bad that we barely touched it.

My friend and I came here one Saturday night. <br/>I ordered a lemon and herb chicken salad, and my friend ordered a mild 1/2 chicken w chips. <br/>My food came out pretty quick (5 to 10mins) but my friend's order came out 15mins after mine, although we ordered together. <br/>The chicken in my salad tasted a bit plain, as if it was cooked and soaked in lemon juice. Still enjoyable though. <br/>Service was average. Cleanliness could be improved.

Usually this place is SO GOOD, however today I got the chicken wrap with fries to take away. They were busy this afternoon which showed in the food, it was like they were rushing to get the food out when I would rather wait alittle longer for good food. The chips were JUST cooked, soggy and bland and my wrap was 3/4 onion and I was trying to find the chicken. Very watery which made the wrap soggy also, disappointed with the price you pay..

Starting things off...I LOVE THE NEW LOOK TO THE STORE AFTER ITS RENOVATION!!!<br/><br/>The store used to be old and not pleasing to eat in, but after its fresh refined renovation; it's just got all the right puzzle pieces for a great looking restaurant!<br/><br/>Customer service was great! Staff check up to ask how your meal is going, they top your water up and also smile and always are helpful! The tables were cleaned and always wiped down! <br/><br/>As to the food, the taste is just amazing! New Lynn does a great job in terms of quality of Chicken size and the type of pieces you receive! A generous quantity of your desired sauce compliments the flamed chicken for a mouth watering dining! Peri peri chips are my favourite, and they are perfectly cooked to crispness, rather than being soft and jelly like an earthworm. Some other stores serve drip oily chips, which are soggy and sad looking.<br/><br/>As a negative the prices have gone up! First it used used to be a bit cheaper, plus you got a loyalty card. Then they got rid of the loyalty card. Now they have higher prices and no loyalty card! <br/><br/>Nandoos...you're loosing lots of your regulars due to your new sales strategies!<br/><br/>I love coming here and would come more often if the prices weren't so high! Still a great place which I love to dine in!

I come here if I feel like some chicken. The staff are not friendly. Always talking in their language..which as an indian customer I do understand but it shows a lack of professionalism. They definately do not answer the phone if we want to pickup an order since waiting times are always too long. They sometimes don't get the order right such as upsizing to a meal. They would get it right of they would listen and stop talkong amongst themselves. My partner and I would rather drive an extra 10-15mins and gp to the next closest resturant.

I have somehow seen a decline in taste overtime it seems. I remember visiting this place, and ordering tons of different things, and putting on the hottest sauce. But now it seems everything has got same taste, and very limited variety. It's still a good place to grab and go, which I usually do now.

Our second Nandos visit in West Auckland, the first was at Westfield in Henderson. Nothing out of the ordinary, between two of us (either a mate or a family member, mostly a mate) we would always buy the family feast making it extra hot. After all, spicy food is more of my specialty in flavour. The is actually clean I must say and the service from the counter is pretty good, their cooking time is quite fast compared to the other outlets I've been to.

We come to this nando's quite often as it is the closest to our house. However we now feel we need to drive to Henderson as the customer service in Henderson is a lot more professional & appreciative of your business than what this restaurant is. When doing a phone order earlier I was rushed over the phone, I was not asked if there was anything else I wanted to add to the order, I was simply asked for a name of the order & told it would be ready in 10mins. If I hadn't have asked if I could add to the order I don't think I would've had the chance as it seemed he wanted to end the phone call. (Totally rude about it too may I add). Also there has been numerous occasions where we have asked for extra basting & paid the $1.50 extra and did not receive the extra basting as asked - worth the drive a little bit further to get quality service & even better quality food.

Didn't want to spend $17 on a quarter chicken combo (which are ok, but overpriced) so opted this time for the chicken paella. Big mistake. I had no idea that anyone could make rice, chicken and vegetables so tasteless. I had to drown it in tomato sauce just to get some kind of flavour. Never one to waste food, I took most of it home with me hoping I may be inspired to eat it later on, but ended up throwing it out in the end because there was just nothing appealing about it. This item on the menu definitely needs to be reviewed by the chefs...

I'm really getting disappointed with this place as they lost their pride some time ago. My family used to get ribs, a whole chicken and chips but the food and service is so bad now we drive the extra distance to Lincoln road

Was just underwhelmed by our food here today. Our chips were very dark and overcooked, I know that sounds picky but if I'm gonna eat chips I want them to be deep fried perfection. Then onto my salad. I ordered a Mediterranean chicken salad for $15.50. I sometimes feel like salads can be such an afterthought on menus and this is how I felt. All of the ingredients were super chunky, the capsicum was huge as was the red onion and feta which was basically 3 big chunks. There was one olive. Super disappointing, please make my salad with love nandos

Come here every now and then to grab a quick takeaway dinner if we don't feel like cooking. The service is fine, they get right on to making your food, the chicken tenderloins are always tender (sometimes a bit too salty though) and the chicken Pitas are good. The burgers can be quite dry. The Peri Peri Chip Dip is so yummy and also the Creamy Chip Dip - Nandos chips are awesome. I think Nandos in general is overpriced for what you get, but it's not an every day thing to eat. In my opinion the atmosphere in New Lynn Nandos is drab and dull; it's not very inviting at all and the seats are all squashed together in the way. Overall the food is good especially if you take away.

I like nandos, New Lynn's, the service is good and the chicken is cooked nicely and the fries are on point. The coleslaw is nice too better than KFC and also the Portuguese buns are very good here! They are popular that they ran out the evening family and I went.

Loved my espetada with spicy rice however my brothers got quarter chicken meal which didnt look like a quarter chicken at all.. the portions were very small and the chicken was so thin. flavours were still there though and very nice service from the crew

Used to come here quite a bit a couple years ago but have been constantly going to the Lincoln Road one. Found out that one is closed so came here yesterday on a Sunday. It's under new management so thought we'd give it a try. The atmosphere was severely lacking. Boyfriend got tenderloins and I got chicken paella. There was a big black hair sitting in his chicken so took that back and my paella was full of huge chunks of chicken and veges; usually when I order this the chicken and veges are in bite sized prices. Chicken had an odd chemical flavour to it. Ordered jumbo chips but only got one bowl. Maybe it's because we are so used to the amazing service we receive at Lincoln Road and the food is always to standard and consistent. . Wouldn't come back here even if I was craving Nandos, I'll wait till the Lincoln Road one is open again.

We used to go in for lunch and dinner but have recently opted for the takeaway option. Food is always good, chicken always cooked to right perfection and the salads are always fresh unlike other branches. The till operator is always so patient and polite with us but the service stops there. This is part of the reason why we prefer to takeaway home now. Another reason is due to the cleanliness of the tables/floor and cutlery which can sometimes get abit greasy/sticky. Other days it is as clean as can be. Not too sure what the reason behind this is but will still visit regularly(once a week or so) for takeaway dinners.

Went there on Sunday to do some takeaway and I have had the worst experience ever, never asked too much from the crews as I know some of them might be having a bad day but why not even just a lil smile ? Maybe to keep customers feel welcomed? This Nando's has the worse customer service ever, staff looked like they didn't even wanna serve me , I had to begin with a hello n thanks all the time afterwards but them staff just didn't seem happy to be there. The girl looked like she was forced to bring me the orders and again I had to say thanks while she just turned her back right after I got the food in my hand. There weren't any tissues or plastic spoon or sauce in the package. Was a sad day

Love the food here and the service is the best I've experienced at any nandos, highly reccomed to all. We ordered the chicken tenderloins and fries which I have to say definetly hit the spot. Although if you do opt for extra hot chicken be ready with an ice cold beverage.

Nandos in New Lynn serves really tasty and healthy chicken burgers. We love their chicken with peri peri sauce. The food is always fresh and the flame grilling makes the chicken taste excellent, plus it's healthy. The burgers are also large and very filling. I recommend Nandos.

Well...you can't ignore Nando's if you are craving a nice n spicy chicken bite. Their peri peri flavour is distinctly unique and so I often find myself at this conveniently located outlet. In spite being in the heart of New Lynn town centre, if offers plenty of off-street parking for free (always a major plus). The staff is pretty friendly and dining area is quite spacious. A pretty laid back atmosphere just the way I like it. If you haven't already, you should try their veg burger. Arguably the best veg burger in town. Though, my craving for peri peri chicekn often blinds me to everything else on the menu. Good on you guys, keep up the good (and spicy) work!
