I order delivery from here often. I usually get the large pork roast. It’s always a big portion, with plenty of gravy and the right amount of potato, pumpkin and veges. The crackling is always great too. This order I got the bread and butter pudding with custard and it was absolutely delicious. I will try to go to the store more often so all money goes to the owner and not a delivery provider. I’ll definitely be ordering again. Best roast in CBD.

As James says below, the owners are genuinely lovely people, welcoming and friendly. The meals are are step up from the usual roast-in-a-bun options at most other places with a generous belong of deliciously cooked meat in a decent sized crusty baguette. I stopped in one evening after work for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and portion size, and was definitely happy with the reasonable price. I'll definitely go back.

We go there when we're in Auckland, one of the best places to go especially for a roast dinner cause it reminds me of the good old days of Sunday roast with the family.

Béen a regular customer for last few years. Seems shop is always busy and the reason is quite obvious. Can always get good food and good service from friendly shop owners.

Went in to grab a quick dinner to go (quite late near 10pm), and I ordered the Medium Chicken Roast Meal, which was one of the last meals left.<br/><br/>Portion was big enough to feed 2 people who were slightly hungry, complete with gravy and roasted pumpkin, sweet potato, potato, carrots and peas.<br/><br/>Slightly salty but I feel like roast is always good slightly salty.<br/><br/>I heard they also offer pork crackling as well so next time I'll add that on to my order!<br/><br/>Service was friendly, even when I went in late just befroe they were closing.

Fantastic place to have a meal. No wonder it has customers all through the day. The staff is very pleasant and take an interest in your order, suggesting what to try. I tried the basic salad but the dressing on it stole the show. It was awesome. I loved it. There are a range of other things to try here including meals and sandwiches. Definitely one of the places I'll visit again.

In my opinion, the best roast shop in Auckland. <br/>They also have 3 very nice desserts, apple crumble, cheese cake and bread & butter pudding. My favourite is the bread and butter pudding.

Mac roast is great. The food is sooo good. Recommend that you get your gravy separate to your potatoes.. They are amazingly crispy and if you get the gravy on top when served you will make them soggy... The staff are friendly too. Only reason anyone could mark them down is because of ambiance. They are a takeaway store though so I don't expect ambiance

Best roast pork place I have been too. Everything was tasty and the gravy was great too.. Didn't taste like cheap tinned stuff that I've had at other places. Clean premises and friendly staff. Really busy when we were there.. Seemed like lots of regulars.

this is my favorite hangout for a roast meal, i like to eat in as it is very nicely presented and colorful on a plate than on a plastic tray, see my pic below. Has that really nice home style taste too n tender..

My local roast, Mac Roast is clean and served by fantastic homely owners who are welcoming.<br/><br/>We had the Roast Pork and Lamb (medium sized)--they say it's medium sized but trust me when I say they are very generous with the meat.<br/><br/>The pork was really juicy and there was a lot of it, and it was nice to get 3 strips of crackling although I'm not a fan personally. <br/><br/>However the stunner for me was definitely the roast lamb: it was tender, moist, and absolutely full of flavour! The mint sauce that came with it was absolutely ravishing.<br/><br/>Showstopper: Legit lamb here.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: B+

Most flavoursome takeaway roast in Auckland. I've had the pork and the lamb and both were delicious, the meals come with sweet potato instead of regular Kumara which I love. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This place has the best roast chicken meal I have ever had, there is something magic about the way they do it.<br/><br/>The food is fresh, well prepared, satisfying and faultless.<br/><br/>The place is clean, friendly staff, fast service, free parking out front, I happily left a tip and would definately eat here again and again. Much better choice than the usual franchises

We went there for a meal as recommended by a friend. I order a roast lamb and roast chicken meal for takeaway and was very impressed with both the meals. The roast lamb and chicken was very juicy and tender. <br/><br/>The meal was of a generous portion that comes with roast lamb potatoes, kumara, pumpkin and peas and carrots. Really enjoyed the meal at Mac Roast and will be back again for sure.<br/><br/>I would also recommend you try their dessert "Bread and Butter Pudding".
