After driving past this place when jumping on the motorway, I finally stopped by one lunch time to check it out. The food is still as authentic as it can be. The papaya salad I ordered was flavourful and balanced. Not too salty or too sweet, they hammer in the crabs already so it's easier to eat. The Thai Fried Rice Sour Pork was amazing! The flavours are there from the first bite. We also ordered the mixed entree which is a nice mix of deep fried items. The sauces were amazing. A tangy tamarind sauce that came with the papaya salad was unique and was a good addition to a complex dish (it also came with sticky rice). The sweet chili sauce was not too thick which is great as well. All in all we will definitely be regulars. Hearty Thai food that is still affordable.

Amazing staff and AMAZING food! Highly recommend the Tom Yum but everything else was also absolutely delicious as well ♥️♥️
We’ll be thinking about it constantly after the trip. Locals, please eat at this place every week in our stead cause that’s what my friends and I would have done if we were in Auckland.

Such an unlikely place to find such an amazing selection of delicious , healthy foods.
On entry you can’t help but mouthed have and A rated from council on cleanliness.
Then the warm kind greetings from each staff, all older and well experienced .
Prices then, are just in matched any where in New Zealand.
The selection just grabs you.
Basically anything you want, any way you want, not a problem.
I had the Thai fried rice spicy with prawns and som tum green papaya salad.
Portions were very generous.
Time from ordering to plated was about 6 minutes.
Absolutely recommended for any whom loves an authentic thai experience.
Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a whole fish, snapper $27 they will serve about 5 different ways.
Excellent if you want to host a dinner party.

Prices were very cheap, yet the food tastes amazing and fresh.
The staff were friendly and professional, and the service was very fast.
Overall, great value and would highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

A hidden gem in Hobson Street, off the main area of the CBD. But still busy and appeared to have heaps of regular customers, and for a good reason.
The food tastes very different to any other Thai place in Auckland, there is a more authentic taste to the food and the ingredients were very fresh.
The pad see ew is a flat Noodle stir fry, perfectly cooked and the flavour was perfect being a sweet soy like taste. Plentiful vegetables stir fried in as wellm
Som Thum Thai is a distinctive dish that is like a salad which is sour and spicy, cold, with crushed ingredients within it. This is the highlight dish of this place!! Very fresh and deliciously seasoned. Best I ever had compared to any other stores.
The staff were super friendly, especially the grandma whom had a friendly smile and can see her calm kind mannerism as she served us. It added a very warm touch to our visit.
I will be back again! (probably another time this week, as I can't get over how good this is!)
It probably is the best hidden food place in Auckland CBD... And I don't say that lightly!

Five stars for good reason. Excellent food. It looks a bit grungy from the outside and has limited seating, but the food is really good. You step in and your nose tingles with the chilli oil in the air. Really pleasant people just adds to the experience.

Most authentic Thai restaurant in Auckland, with many dishes that cannot be found anywhere else in nz. Language can be a slight barrier but they’re super attentive in getting the order right so it all works out in the end! I love papaya salads and this is place is quite the papaya salad heaven - with 8+ varieties. Can’t wait to return to and eventually try out everything on the menu.

Omg, if you are a Thai food lover, you have to come to this place. Food is absolutely delicious 😍. Makes me feel exactly as when I eat in Thailand. Staff are amazing and friendly. The food I ordered was so delicious I even went back the next two days and ordered more dishes I forgot to take photos of the rest of my orders as I got it too takeaway and realized I not taken photos until after it was all gone the dishes was all so delicious and service was awesome as well.

As a Thai food lover I can say this is one of the most Authentic, Delicious and Amazing foods I ever had since my last visit in Thailand last year.
I was so happy to see this Authentic menu and so many great dishes I missed so much.
They were extremely nice and made the perfect meal for us. Definitely going to come back.

This is the best Thai food I've had in Auckland hands down! Absolutely delicious authentic flavours and ingredients. We had the papaya salad, Green curry and pad thai. Forgot to take a photo of the curry and salad before we dug in so only have the pad thai to show. The staff are so sweet and lovely. Prices are very reasonable, most dishes are about $17. Portions are really big. Very very happy to go here and I would eat here every night if I could 😅

Small Authentic Thai restaurant runs by a group of friends. All uncle and aunty are so kind. I felt like they genuinely treated me like a family. Reasonable price. Varieties of menu. It’s very hard to find that one Thai restaurant would contain these much of menu from around Thailand and the test is so Thai. Recommended big time. This restaurant and chefs have a big future in front of them. All the bests kaaa.
