Excellent, great service too... always consistently good food

All year I've been getting fish and chips regularly and they are almost invariably exceptionally good fish, given that prices are normal street corner takeaway levels and their Hoki is so good you don't need to go for Snapper. Crumbed or battered both excellent so hard to choose. Toasties also great.

I have been a regular customer for a cpl of years and the food and service has always been excellent..For the first time last week I felt that the meal I ordered was not upto the usual standard so called to let them know..The lady who took my call was extremely apologetic and offered to make a new one straight away..As I was already at hm I declined the offer but she said next time they would no charge me..so last night I ordered my regular combination soft noodle..I arrived to collect it..I didn't need to say anything there was no charge and once again very apologetic..am pleased to say that the meal was once again absolutely delicious..well done Mobil Corner Takeaway for excellent food and customer service..

Always a good experience eating food from here. Very friendly service on the phone and in person. Food is super tasty and fresh, and very reasonably priced. My favourites are the chicken chow mein with crispy noodles and a scoop of fries. Once in a blue moon I'll have a few battered oysters and mussels for a treat. Delicious!

I've been their regular customer since they first open right up till now and they are amazing friendly and fast they always know what their customers want . Their food is amazing I will never go anywhere else this is my favourite one they have alsorts of specials and food and to me it's worth the money that's my rating

Our go to for local fish and chips. Although, I do miss REAL fish and chips from the UK, this is by far the best in the area (well, of the 3 I've tried so far around Howick!). Good portions of chips and nice battered fish. If they served mushy peas too, I'd be in heaven.

We live in North Shore and Our family always enjoys food from here. The price is reasonable and the quality of the food is amazing. Tonight we bought a tray of vegetarian fried rice which cost $35 plus sweet and sour pork for dinner. The pork was good however we were very disappointed with the vegetarian fried rice. We have had veg fried rice from here several times and they put variety of veges, not just one or two but this time only frozen peas and some cauliflower. I called to complain about the quality of the food and the lady (appears to be the owner) responsed 'this is same fried rice and next time we come they will give us a small one to make up for this' . I mentioned to her this isn't the point its about the quality of the food and the cost we paid and this isn't what we normally get. Long story short I asked to be compensated somehow as we live in North Shore and can't drive back to return the food. she wasn't happy (she didn't believe us that we live in North Shore, I offered to send proof of address) and said if you want your $35 you come now and hung up. Now this isn't how you treat your customers when you want business. She also mentioned not to come there again which I totally agreed with. With that kind of attitude on the phone will definitely not recommend this place. It took my husband 1.5hrs to and from just to get a refund as she refused to do a bank transfer. Also when we returned the fried rice she didn't even apologise. It's not about the money but about the principle.

THE BEST chicken fried rice ever!!! I come here only for it. The smell is yum and taste sooo good. Definitely recommend. Best to call before you get there so you can pick it up and eat while it’s nice and hot.

Good place to get a quick meal without having to travel too far. Variety of Chinese dishes which are good value ($10-$15) but don't expect to be blown away. Deep fried items like fish and chips are ok. Their standard chips are just cooked through so if you prefer a crunchier texture ask the staff to cook them a bit longer (which they are happy to do so). Owners are super friendly. Just a simple local place to grab a bite to eat.

Fast service despite being busy all the time. Cheap and amazing chips. Although the portions seem to get smaller every time I get them..... Other items are just okay. Very average.

Been eating her since I was a wee little boy. Local classic, triumphs over all other local takeaways. Food is as good as it gets when it comes to takeaways. Fried chicken is mean, fried rice portions are huge... But most importantly the fish and cheap are dope yo.

Definitely one of the best cheap fast chinese takeaways out there. Me and my boyfriend usually get the lemon chicken, which is my favorite there, sweet and sour pork and their friend rice. Just those three will make you addicted to this place. Its cheap, tasty and fills the tummy.

Stopped off here before going to the beach. We got the deal, 2 fish, 2 hot dog and chips. Lots of yummy sauce with the hotdogs and the fish was crispy and fresh. The chips were crunchy and cooked nicely. The service was quick and efficient. The little shop enough chairs for everyone waiting. Summery vibes while we waited.

When we go to bucklands beach we have had takeways from here, ie fish n chips - quick, fast and tasty and more than enough chips for two grown-ups and fish done beautifully - have yet to get have tried their chinese but will do.

This is one takeaway you HAVE to visit. They have a huge menu selection and I always go there to get my fish and chips. There is always a friendly greeting when you walk in and the service is always quick.
