I went to have dinner with my friends today. The food was very good. I’m not a big fan of Chinese food but this resturant is very good. The steamed fish, deep fried fish are very dilicious. Good price as well

If you're looking for giant portions for cheap prices, this is it. Tasty food, but also a bit oily, if you're not used to it.

Good decent chinese meals. Quite a novel taste around their northern chinese style cooking.

량반면, 라즈지 완전 맛있음!! 꿔바로우 소스는 많이 달지만 튀김이 진짜 빠삭하다. 마라탕은 야채가 부족해서 아쉽다. 남은 음식은 포장 가능~~~

We went for dinner last night with our family friends. The restaurant took us by surprise, all the food were very fresh and tasty, beautiful presentation. My favorite dish is steamed blue cot and my son loves his stir fried round beans. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. We definitely going back there again and already made plan with our friends for the next visit. If you are looking for an affordable price and a good quality fresh Chinese food, we highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks Wongda restaurant for a wonderful dinner last night.

We made a reservation for 10, and were considerately arranged to be seated in a private room.
We ordered 10 dishes. The prices here are amongst the cheapest, yet the quality and portions are by no means cheap—exceptional quality and filling portions!
It took awhile for the dishes to arrive, but we were completely satisfied when the first dish arrived, which was the Charcoal Fish (炭火烤鱼). It’s basically a whole fish in a big metal tray in chilli oil; perfect for a cold windy night like today.
Next was the Mongolian Lamb Chops; the plate was literally empty within 2 minutes flat. Tender and almost boneless, the subtly smokiness and slight crispness of the outer won everyone over.
Next was the Big Plate Chicken (大盘鸡), which everyone was raving about once again. Tender chicken with the chewy flat noodles—beautiful.
Couldn’t remember what came out next but everything was cooked faultlessly. And that’s coming from an extremely picky Chinese family who’s been to Chinese restaurants all around Auckland 😂.
Amongst the others we got Dry Pot Intestines (干锅大肠), Honey Garlic Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Sweet and Sour Whole Fish (松鼠鱼), Fried Squid with Salty Yolk (蛋黄鱿鱼), Cashew Chicken, Eggplant and Beans.

They gave us a complementary Fruit Platter free of charge, as some Chinese restaurants do if you have a big group and order lots of dishes.

Service was also really friendly, we got to meet the Chef himself who is very outgoing! Other than the cutlery and plates/bowls being self serviced, the experience here was good! The bill came to $210.

Price: 10/10
Food: 10/10
Ambience: 9/10
Service: 10/10

Food was really tasty. Service was good and really nice and clean environment. Good atmosphere and the price is really good around 10 to 12 dollars per meal. The portions are BIG and well worth the money. Would go again.

Came here because I saw a photo from Nutrada (Mint) Opassathavorn. Decided to give it a try.

It's upstairs near J's Tea. The restaurant is very spacious and has several private rooms. Place is clean and very new.

Highlights: food is very affordable and the portion sizes are extremely big. The deep fried salt and pepper chicken was very generous and crispy. The stir fried Malay pancake was something new and I liked it.

Not so highlights: their Peking duck opening special is a bit misleading. There is no price on it and when you ask about it, it's not actually Peking duck. They seem to use the same ingredients (meat and vegetables) for all the noodle dishes. We got 3 very different noodle dishes and they all had the same ingredients except for the actual noodles. Flavour was a bit bland.
The soup buns were nice except the buns were stuck to the steamer. When you lifted them up the pastry would tear and the soup would leak out.
The sweet and sour pork tasted nice but the their was hardly any pork.

Service was quick, staff friendly. Tea and water regularly topped up.

Would definitely come back to try different menu items.
This restaurant opened on the 1st of August and we decided to take a gamble and try it out as I normally like to read other people's reviews on restaurants first before dining in. When we got there just after 6:30pm it was empty and it seems we were the first people to dine in for the evening. And since the restaurant was new, everything looked clean, and tables were laid out nicely with plates, bowls, cups and cutlery. A bottle of water was also provided on every table which was a nice addition!

There was a bit of confusion at first regarding their Peking Duck special as it was apparently half price for their opening special, but it turned out to be slightly more than half price after checking the menu.

We ordered four dishes: three noodle dishes and salt and pepper chicken. My favourite was the salt and pepper chicken. I also thought the other three noodle dishes didn't have much variation in them and two of the dishes were also pretty bland I.e not enough sauce and flavouring. My pictures tell a similar story I think too. They all pretty much had the same veges and sauce for the three "different" noodle dishes. However, all the dishes contained very generous portions!

In total, our four dishes costed $41 which isn't bad for how much food there was; we split this between 5 people and still had leftovers to take home!

Overall, if you are hungry, craving Chinese, on a budget, and don't want too much flavouring / sauce on your dishes, this restaurant may be for you to try.

I_like_pickles
