MOST delicious fried chicken in Auckland! (Better than any Korean fried chicken or KFC). The outside is perfectly seasoned, and the inside was so moist and the crunchy texture of the skin was perfect. The staff were very hard working and friendly when asked questions. They outlined a 15min wait time as it was busy and they prepared the food in that exact time frame. The burgers were nice too, but the chicken is the must have on the menu here!

The fried chicken over there is great and the price is reasonable. I also got a BBQ chicken wrap which was big enough for lunch. Although the price changes a bit. But I will visit here again and again. It's noticeable, the staff there are very kind. The manager spent time listening to my requests because I cannot understand some ordering terms. And then answer my question politely. This was the best experience to order dinner of the day.

The kebab on chips comes with a generous portion of meat (probably 70% meat, 30% chips). You can choose three sauces and your meat, and it was well priced. Love the food here. It's more like KFC but tastes better. I normally buy chicken strips and chips which are very tasty. In addition, I occasionally buy the family pack as my family loves it. I recommend this place if you are looking for tasty and budget-friendly meals.

The other reviews are correct about one thing, you do have to wait a while it seems, however, when I ordered I got my food instantly handed to me as soon as I paid but there were a few others waiting on their orders (I assume bigger orders). The chips were quite nice and they seem to be very consistent. The chicken was nice and crispy and the prices were awesome. Especially for a uni student.

Friendly and fast service. Tasty chicken and chips. We shared a drum box ($10 which includes 3 chicken drum sticks and chips) for a quick snack or small meal. No photo as we quickly finished it! 😁 Would be nice if there were a proper sitting area outside. Would come again to try other snack boxes.

An extremely cheap and centrally located kebab shop, serving mostly students and is almost always busy, especially during the day. They do very consistent food especially their fries which are cooked to perfection and seasoned well with chicken salt. Their chicken is also pretty good but can get quite oily and difficult to eat if in a rush.

Consistently good chicken and chips. Open until super late which is convenient. Occasionally run out of chicken and service is sometimes a bit slow but it’s usually reliable. Chips are fresh and have chicken salt which is great and the chicken seasoning and coating is good.

Sensational indeed. Their fried chicken is a lot better than KFC. It is flavourful, moist and not too greasy. On top of that you can see them fry each batch of chicken and then brought out piping hot to customers. The kebabs are very good as well. $5 for a mini kebab is a great deal for anyone tight on budget. They open till crazy late too. If anything, service is a bit slow. Still the best kebab shop in the City!

Kebabs are my favorite when it comes to a quick bite during rush hour. My cousins have recently been to NZ Kebabs Sensational Chicken and have been all praise of its Kebabs, so today I stopped by this restaurant located on Symonds Street to try the Kebabs myself. Its environment is pleasant and the place is very hygienic. Its professional staff was quick to attend and serve my order of large Kebabs with salad wrapped in pita at just $8, which I topped up with chips and a can of drink for a mere $4. Interestingly enough, I had a great choice of meat to choose from lamb, chicken, fish, mixed (chicken & lamb), falafel and paneer which is very rare. I ordered Kebabs with a mouthwatering mix of chicken and lamb, the quantity of which was amazing and the quality awesome. Meat was so soft, salad was farm fresh, pita was smooth, chips were crunchy and the soft drink so chilled! This soul satisfying Kebab experience at NZ Kebabs Sensational Chicken is my most memorable one and I shall be visiting this restaurant located on the Symonds Street frequently, because its menu has many more such extraordinarily delicious items listed which I highly recommend you also to definitely try.

Food itself isnt bad, its reasonably priced and good, but service is pretty bad. I asked for a mini rice $5 and 4 nibbles which should cost $9, but was given and charged for a large rice meal, which is $10. Was not happy when I received something I didnt want and had to pay for. Everything was seasoned extremely well, even the fries. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside but so tender within. I loved their chocolate soft serve. It had made me redefine the meaning of ice cream. Its creamy velvety texture was to die for. One of the best soft serves I've had. Was only $1.50. Definitely would choose this over the $1 ice cream soft serves at McDonalds. You have not lived until you have tried SENSATIONAL CHICKEN.

Service is terrible. I understand having to wait 10 minutes for chicken thighs to be cooked, however the staff ended up giving our order to others and forgot about us completely. I had to wait 30 minutes until I received my full order. Food quality is great, but did not make up the waiting period.

Reasonable price and the place is ever so popular in Mount St. There will always be a wait of 10-15 minutes as the place could be really busy. Located at Mount St just across from the AUT building. They also serve kebabs on rice and burgers for $5. Taste good. Better to takeout as there's limited seats and always packed. Recommended for fried chicken lovers! 🍗🍗🍗

Mostly great service and freshly cooked food, though one or two employees regularly lower the quality of the overall product received due to seeming to care more about chatting in their native language over working properly. This often contributes to slower service and wrong orders due to distraction. Nonetheless I frequent this place 2-3 times a week due to a few of the stuff that excell at getting the order right, even going so far as to make the effort to remember orders. Overall when it's right it's pretty damn good. When it's bad.. Well, it's generally edible food - something hard to find after 10pm.

Staff have been pretty good, one gentleman specifically has always been awesome. We placed a large order and had to wait quite a while, to compensate we were given several pieces of thigh and drum sticks extra free. Outdoor seating available for dine in and they are open veey latel. Will definitely be coming back for more.
