This is a good little spot for Mexican fast food. The customer service here is really top notch. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A loyalty card programme operates here. Little tip, by going on Mondays you gets two stamps for a burrito or wrap instead of one stamp. 10 stamps gets you a free burrito/wrap. Additionally each bowl you get feeds another hungry mouth with a plate 4 plate scheme. So while it is a little on the expensive side you can feel good that you're also helping someone else.

Nice place. Fine ambiance . Staff are very professional in approach . Patient when taking orders and explaining the menu. Concept similar to Chipotle in the United States. No pressure for us to finish our food at once. We can have casual talks while enjoying our meal . Nice food and pretty place in a quiet and without car street. Surprisingly good for a chain - and they have crushed tortilla chips as an option for the burrito which is something I’ve only come across once before and have since been dying to find again. Pretty good vegan options and well labelled.

A good and filling meal. By no means the best burrito I've ever had but overall it was good. Vegetarian burrito gets extra rice and beans and free guac which is great. Also they donate a meal for every meal you buy which is great.

My favourite place to get a burrito. It's fast and tastes good consistently. Great value for money when ordering burritos. Haven't tried anything else apart from the burritos, so it's that's what you want, then this is definitely the place to come.

A Mexican food chain with a philanthropy mission to reduce if not eradicate hunger. The offering are standard burrito, taco, quesadilla, and chips & dips; the difference is mainly that for each of burrito or bowl purchased they'll donate a plate of food. Their IQ version uses black rice, not brown rice.

Stopped in here for dinner. Located in the middle of k road. We paid for parking nearby and walked here. Nice updated layout. Menu clearly displayed. We got a burrito and tacos. Meat was alright not the best on flavour compared to some other Mexican food type chains. Love the range of sauces available. If I was in area I'd be keen to try something different from the menu.

I had the best tasting nachos ever here. Their pork nachos with Trezigo sauce and corn salsa is simply one of the wonders of food. Their staffs are quite friendly too. The only disappointment I had is that they don’t have much spiciness.

Can't really comment on ambience as I usually order from here for delivery to home, but so far food from here has always been good. Portion sizes are good value for price, and always tastes good. Have almost become a regular ordering the bowls from here via Uber Eats, and have never been disappointed. Will continue with my weekly orders from here without hesitation for sure 🙂

It was my first time going to zambrero ever so I was alittle hesitant when ordering. I had awesome service from the get go- the staff member there helped me decide by recommending certain options. She explained the food options thoroughly and made it very easy. The classic burritos are absolutely amazing and full of flavour. I recommend Zambrero for anyone wanting a quick and healthy lunch option for sure!

I got a GrabOne voucher $7 for a classic burrito or bowl. I came here for lunch today and tried their classic bowl with beef on white rice and pinto peas, served with tomato and corn salsa, cheese, sour cream and extra guacamole. The flavour was not too bad.

Thought this place was ok until i started seeing that they dont recycle nor do they donate any of the tonnes of food they throw out. if you look at the pricing they are not cheap burito and a beer and you pay extra for guacamole will run you over 20 bucks but what really pisses me off the most is they sell you on the idea they are helping feed hungry people but at what cost the amount of recycling and waste they produce will cancel out any good deed for the cameras they do. this company was started by an Australian Dr yeah the food is ok but its not value for money not when you can go down to Mercury Plaza and get choice feed for ten bucks...clean up your act with regard to your recycling then people might start to believe you do actually care about the nz enviroment drop your prices so at least they are reasonable and stop trying to con us..it wont work bro..

Funky upmarket wooden interior, great menu choices, reasonable pricing, healthy food in a friendly and convenient setting, what's not to like :-) Stepping in here was like seeing the ghost of the old Starbucks that used inhabit this corner. Zambrero is definitely one of the best spots in the area for a quick lunch bite. The food always tastes great, although the preparation area where you watch the food getting made looked a bit unkempt. Get the bowl with chicken, you won't regret it!

Great Mexican food on the go, the cleanliness and upbeat atmosphere is admirable. The staff are always in a good mood and go the extra distance with being polite. The food is really tasty and I would recommend making the burritos extra crispy!

This place was a pleasant surprise- typical fast food Mexican, but what impressed me the most was the service and that every surface was shiny and spotless!! Had the black rice burrito which was delicious. I'd definitely go back if I needed a quick burrito/quesadilla fix.

Came here for quick, easy dinner with my family. Ordered the chicken quesadilla and the vegetarian soft taco. As I am vegan and lactose intolerant, I asked for the taco sans sour cream and cheese, only to have the server insist that their sour cream is "vegetarian" which baffles me as sour cream only has dairy in it (which some vegetarians eat) not any meat.<br/>Both the quesadilla and tacos were delicious and full of flavour. Only tips would be to change the decor to something more bright, inviting and Mexican-esque and have some music playing in the background so I don't have to awkwardly stare at the staff lol!

I tried Zambrero for the first time today and I loved it. You get a mix of healthy food dishes here but the black rice bowl sounds the best. <br/><br/>The overall format is similar to subway or pita pit where you select your salads and sauces on the base dish. I found this place very fresh and refreshing.<br/><br/>The staff is friendly and the service is super quick.<br/><br/>I'll be a regular here! 👍🏼😎

I LOVE Mexican and today I really felt like something tasty and filling so I decided to check out Zambrero on K road. I went with a burrito and was given lots of choices on type of rice, fillings, sauces and even crushed chips. I took away as I needed to get back to my desk but the eating in tables looked inviting. My burrito totally hit the spot and I will definitely be adding Zambrero to my roster of work lunch venues!

I eat here once every few weeks and am never disappointed. Delicious food, good value, and real friendly staff. I don't enjoy eating there as it lacks some atmosphere, but for a grab and run lunch, I'd highly recommend it.

I stopped by (a very empty) Zambrero in the late afternoon to pick something up for dinner and, having not been to any of their stores before, was pleasantly surprised. The wait was short and the service quick and efficient, although I did find the music rather loud and had to ask the server to repeat himself a few times as a result.<br/><br/>I ordered a vegan burrito - a warm tortilla stuffed with beans, amaranth and black rice (for $1 extra), guacamole, corn salsa, red onion, a spicy chilli sauce, and a squirt of barbecue sauce. It was delicious - the tortilla was chewy, with a stand-out guacamole which was especially fresh considering that the store had been open for hours. I loved the black rice option - it was a refreshing change from plain white, and I felt that it added flavour and looked visually appealing in the burrito itself. I was happy to not have to pay for the guacamole unlike my carnivorous counterparts, and that they explicitly mentioned that they had vegetarian and vegan options on the overhead screen.<br/><br/>The price was certainly on the high end for a take-out burrito, but I love their fresh, healthy approach to Mexican food so would certainly return. I can't say much about the place itself as I took the burrito and ran, but it did look tidy and felt spacious and well-lit. Good to know there's a place for tasty, healthy food on K road that's open till late.<br/><br/>Expect Mexican with a healthier, fresher twist. I have found their entire range of slow-cooked meat fillings to be tasty and full of flavour (yes, I have been here a few times now). I will complain about the small portions though – a burrito bowl is basically greens with a morsel of meat and some rice. Their burritos are much more filling. The interior is quite nice and the staff is super friendly.<br/><br/>Also the Guac is $2 extra.

Had the nachos for $10 (after 5pm) and kept me full for the night! The place is pretty spacious and quite a good place to hang out with friends. The staffs were very friendly and patient with me too. Gonna try their burrito next! :)

Delicious burritos. Have only had this dish, but order it regularly. Much nicer ingredients and food than Mexicali, and cheaper too. Friendly chatty staff. Atmosphere is a bit amibiguous, though - nothing memorable. Good for lunch or low-key dinner.
