Review Twelve Restaurant - Auckland Central

Gurvindar Singh
Loved this place!!! The atmosphere was amazing and the food was incredible. Definitely among top Korean restaurants in Auckland CBD. We ordered quite a bit and everything was incredibly delicious. The food was super quick despite a really busy night. However, the prices are above average but definitely worth all the money. A must visit as a group so you can try many options off the menu. Definitely recommend.

Great spacious setting for a group function, dinner, gathering and good food. Place holds great new year feast memories for me and was the place I chose to celebrate 25. Range of food is fantastic surely something for most people without specific dietary requirements to pick from. Great share plates albeit in the smaller side for the cost (but tbh most places I’ve seen Korean share plates tend to be smaller in size-twelve is pretty standard if put in the comparison spectrum). Delicious and everyone leaves content. About 30 pp depending on amount of dishes you get to share across the board, but expect mid twenty and above. Also been here on a separate occasion for fried chicken which they have a yum range and cheese chicken and the wings are good!!!

Korean fried chicken is amazingly delicious and I love the boneless half n half chicken. Spend a lot of evening at this place for dinner. I will be recommending this place

This place is AMAZING!!! I know the spicy pan fried chicken is famous and it's undoubtedly superb but trust me, you should really try the hot sprinkle chicken.. that's one of the best chicken I have ever had and I keep craving for it, extremely flavourful!! I also tried the tteokbokki and that was so delicious as well !! The staff are amazing and the service is so fast! One of the best restaurants currently!

Had sweet and spicy chicken , black sesame chicken and chilli soy chicken along with a side of dumplings on cheesy corn. All was delicious! Shared between 3. We couldn't get a table I side but were kept warm by outside heater, blankets and a hot water bottle. Delightful.

Love chicken? Love Asian style food? Must love weird! This place is a inner city gold mine amongst the mediocrity of so many wannabe casual dining establishments. If you want a fun, different, casual dining experience try Twelve. The menu is just fun and oh-so delicious. It may not be the usual type of food you would consider ordering, but who wants the "usual" when you can get the crazy! Fun night out with a fun menu option. Want to keep that first date light or just want a fun and different view on food? Surprise yourself and you peers here, I know you’ll be back for more… even if secretly.

Great place for drinks and delicious Korean food. The service staff were very attentive even though they were busy. Arrived around 130am the music was pumping and had a pretty good vibe. They also refund for any unopened soju when closing at 3am. Defs a cool spot!

Delicious Korean food! Love Beef tataki, rice cake, fried chicken and Corn cheese! Great place for gathering.

Nice atmosphere, heating lamps at comfy outdoor seating. Got beers and fried chicken, super friendly staff. Decently clean bathroom as well.

Very nice Korean BBQ and restaurant. Excellent choice of Soju's, the bulgogi was fire! Liked the ambiance and outdoor patio, but the single speaker was not the greatest. Cool spot, definitely recommend and would go back if I was in the mood for more Korean foods!

Wanna drink with ur friends and have some fun? Love getting drunk while eating korean food? Then this is the place to go 🔥🔥🔥 The atmosphere at Twelve is the best you could find in Auckland City. It is by far the best asian restaurant/bar and you will not regret coming here with you friends on a saturday night. (MAKE SURE YOU BOOK as the place gets filled up on friday and weekends.) The food is decent and the smokey grilled pork and fried squid is a must try. As for drinks, the yogurt soju and melona soju (ice cream) is my favourite as it doesn’t even taste like alcohol and tastes super nice.

Wow is all I can say. My son shouted all his siblings and partners and his parents to this restaurant and it was amazing. Food was delish 10/10 staff were absolutely wonderful and catered to our needs loved the surroundings was absolutely beautiful 😍 thank you TWELVE RESTAURANT 😊

This is a nice restaurant with some decent food. We ordered the Bul-Dak, without the cheese at the lowest spice level - it was still really hot, though really tasty so I couldn't really stop myself even if I was sweating from the spice.

We came by for dinner and grabbed a few items to share. We ordered the yakult soju and it was served with fried lotus roots. The bburinkle sunsal chicken was amazing. The fried chicken had a really tasty seasoning over it. It was served with a dipping sauce but definitely didn't need it. I also quite liked the dumpling and cheese corn but would have been easier to eat if the cheese was mixed in with the corn. The mu bossam (pork belly) was also quite nice, especially with the spicy salad. The snowing chicken was ok and very cheesy. I would have like to try their ddukboki but we had people who didn't like spicy foods. Portions are fairly large so quite good for groups. The dining area was quite big. Really nice fried chicken and the menu has quite a few options so return visits are a must. Edie: They now have a spicy bburinkle chicken and you can get half and half with the normal one. The spicy one was nicer but the normal one had a stronger flavour. The spicy rice cakes with rice balls had the rice on the side and you shaped it yourself. The rice balls themselves were delicious.

Decent Korean food in town. Interesting menus! This place also is a great place for friends gathering as it gives you that youthful vibes. Btw, corn cheese here is my favorite!

This is one of my top drinking area where is spacious, cosy with friendly staffs. A great choice for a drinking night! Highly recommended to try their Monday Salman deal, the service portion could be a little more but what could ask for more on $18 deal, totally in love with the freshness of the salmon sashimi and deep-fried squid. Don’t forget to order their strawberry soju, highly recommended!

🍣🥘▪️Sashimi, Spicy seafood hot pot, Deep fried squid & Spicy pork belly with cheese sauce-4/5▪️🥘🍣<br/><br/>Twelve was the restaurant my partner picked for his birthday dinner this year. The restaurant is based in Auckland CBD. We went on a Friday night so it was rather busy. There was a 10-15 minute wait but because we had our 9 month old daughter with us, the waiter had us seated promptly before other groups instead of waiting outside in the cold. I really appreciated the gesture. The customer service was IMPECCABLE! I can’t even begin to explain how considerate and lovely the service we received that night. The restaurant didn’t have a high chair so one of the staff (I’m assuming the duty manager) went and got an office chair with arms for our daughter to sit on. They showed so much concern and even suggested foods they deemed suitable for our daughter to eat. It isn’t a family restaurant but as a mother, I appreciated the gestures they made that night. They truly went above and beyond. The ambience of the place was modern, a bit dark and dimly lit so it gave a bar/restaurant feel. It was also rather loud so be prepared to talk a few octaves higher😅. The spacing of tables were enough for me to manoeuvre my daughters pram without disturbing diners and asking them to move their chairs. Twelve is a bit pricey so be prepared to spend a bit of money. We ordered a variety of dishes. The sashimi was delicious but you can never get fresh salmon sashimi wrong! The squid was a bit average, nothing overly fancy or delicious. The pork belly was delicious but I was expecting a bit more spiciness to it. The highlight of the dishes was the seafood hotpot. The broth was flavourful and had good amount of seafood to it. I find most seafood hotpots tend to skimp out on mussels and crabs but twelve had a good variety of seafood in their hot pot and noodles added to the pot were a nice touch. All in all, I would recommend❤️

I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. There's inside and outdoor dining. The fried chicken was just so good, it was crispy and crunchy and the chicken with the sauce and cheese was the best.<br/>Good customer service 👌 definitely coming again

Twleve another great korean joint that really knows how to handle their chicken. Unlike other places in CBD, Twelve actually gives significantly larger portion sizes and better flavours too tbh. Spicy chicken was damn amazing and was enough for 3 people. Pizza surprisingly great too. <br/>Will definitely come here again. It's great for large groups. Definitely bit pricier than usual. Soju costed around $17 which I thought was crazy but still bought it anyway hahaha. Service is avg dont expect anything amazing.

Great place to start your night out. Be warned it does get quite packed and Loud but that is part of the vibe. The food is not mind blowing, just classic korean dishes. It is a bit expensive for what it is but the location is what contributes to that. Wish they had more vegan vegetarian options.

A very loud place late at night full of asian(myself asian)s smoking outdoors but I remember the spicy chicken wings being really good and it makes you feel alive. Good place to drink as well

So far the best korean bar I’ve been to. Had a booking for a large (15-20 people) group on a Saturday night and the venue was a perfect option. The venue is very large and has heaps of space so really good for bigger groups. <br/><br/>We ordered a few different sharing platters of fried chicken, spicy cooked chicken, corn cheese and fried tofu. All the food was really generous portion sizings and could easily be shared between 3-5people. My favourite was the spicy chicken (stirfried) which was very flavoursome and spicy. <br/><br/>The service was really polite and prompt, dealt with us being a really loud group of annoying young people which was really nice. <br/><br/>Would definitely recommend to everyone, and looking forward to coming back.

Nice atmosphere and good deals during the week. Portions are huge, super tasty. Service is great.

Been here loads of times with work mates for soju bombs and dinner. Great place to just chill out and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommended.

It was my friend’s birthday and she wanted to come to Twelve to celebrate. We felt bad for the waitresses because we moved tables like 4 times. We got the $20 all you can eat pork belly deal, which is only available on Monday. At first, our pork belly wasn’t cooking and it was because we didn’t have enough gas to properly cook it so that took awhile. Also, it was absolutely freezing outside, we had the outdoor heaters on but it didn’t help that much because our legs were frozen, perhaps come on a warmer day. The food was really good though, it is definitely a good deal and a good opportunity to catch up with your friends while the food cooked. The sauces were amazing with the pork belly. When we asked for more pork belly, the waitress took our wooden plate and disappeared for awhile. The other tables who also asked for pork belly got theirs before ours so we had to check up on ours. Also, the lights were purple so it made it difficult to tell whether our food was 100% cooked, we had to use our flashlight on our phones to check if it was cooked. Overall, an average experience with really good food!

Nice night to spend in the perfect place.. we are celebrating one of friend farewell with dinner and drink. Ordered a lot of food from fried chicken, fish roe soup, spicy pork belly, steamed egg, takowasabi and many more but the most important we have yoghurt soju to complete the night

Seems like there has been a slight update with the menu. Was looking forward to the chicken with cheese fondue but it seems they don't make it like that anymore - my inner child was sad.<br/><br/>However that didn't stop us from dining there! Had mu bossam which was a bit dry tbh but the tasty snowing chicken and the yukke (the best!) more than makes up for it :)<br/><br/>Service this time was pretty good. Best service I received was one time a waitress noticed I was cold sitting outside (due to dining with smokers) and wrapped me up with a blanket ^_^

Haven’t been here for a while, the food portion has increased and has become tastier. The food is sweet in general. We ordered the Bul Bossam (slow pulled pork belly in spicy) and asked for medium hot, and it came out almost extremely hot. It was nice though next time we’ll order it as mild. We ordered a side of tuna mayo rice (sweet and creamy) and a small udon, and they went really well with the spicy pork belly. We also ordered the Soy Glazed pork belly and it was too much food, we couldn’t finish half of it.<br/>Service has definitely improved, very friendly and helpful staff. Only one or two of the bathrooms were working as it looked like the end bathrooms were flooding.

Don't mistake this place just for drinking because the food here tastes great. Absolute favourite, if you aren't afraid to eat gizzard is the black pepper chicken gizzard dish. Love the peppery gravy it's soaked in. Gochujang samgyupsal with mouth-watering melted cheese on top transports you to korea is also highly rated. Snowing chicken is awesome also if you have kfc cravings. Good stuff.

Like a Korean restaurant which is awesome. The Korean style bbq chicken was one of the best. Another dish was like raw or slightly steamed beef? I did not eat much raw food so could not provide a review. Atomosphere was relaxing. Would go back again next time! Perfect place for beer and Korean spicy chicken!

Book in advance, super busy on Saturday night even thought we got there at 9pm. They open late ‘til 3am. We ordered sin jjampong (seafood soup), sesame chicken and bossam and 3 bowl of rice, food price all around $33 and share portion for 5 people, total $100. Food came quite fast. Service standard. Highlight was the seafood soup, broth tasty. Wish it would have come with bigger portion. Definitely come back for their spicy soup dishes. Fried chicken ok. Not a fan of their bossam, pork abit dry and not moist and succulent.

I really love their seafood spicy soup, it has so many flavours and its all I crave all day !! I highly recommend it & their spicy sweet chicken. And rice is so good. I recommend going in a big group and sharing & splitting the bill as its big portioned:)

Good customer service, cool dark atmosphere, tasty delicious Korean food! I don’t normally eat a lot of spicy food so can barely handle the mild spicy flavour. My favourite dishes are the sweet and sour chicken wings, pizza with honey, beef tartare with sashimi. This place is great for sharing multiple dishes with a group of friends. Would come back again.

I entered Twelve starving and left full and satisfied. It’s been ages since my last visit here and everything is still as good as I remembered. Totally surprised by the quality of the salmon and beef tartare here. The fried chicken was juicy and tender. It’s not the best, like it needs a little more crunch and the sauce is a bit too sweet for my liking, but it’s a satisfying plate of fried chicken already a 8/10. The volcano steamed egg was sooo good and I felt happy just looking at it I don’t even know why. Will revisit, but probably with big group of friends, as it’s quite hard to order with just the two of us.<br/><br/>Food 9/10 Service 7/10 Ambience 8/10

Good food and drinks and fairly efficient service even during busy times! Definitely keen to come again! Their fried squid and soju ice blocks were great!

I got the famous snowing chicken ❄️<br/>If you don't like blue cheese or parmesan, stay clear! I personally liked the food here. The chicken was fresh and not too oily ❤️<br/>But it's kinda pricy for students.

Twelve is a popular korean restaurant and bar which entertains young people on weekends on a regular basis. I used to come here frequently and it’s always packed! They serve all your favourite soju flavours, mine being green grape. <br/><br/>Other than soju, they also serve a variety of dishes that suit drinking such as fried chicken, sharing style soups, fried snacks and the best spicy pork belly! <br/><br/>The service is quite fast and friendly, food is usually spicy.

I used to go here with my friends for their "cheesy" chicken. I would have rated them 5 stars when they first opened but now it's gone down. The serving size got smaller and the quality is not that good for the prize

Friendly staff and delicious food. The best dish is the spicy fried chicken and fondue. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Ambience is always perfect for Friday after work meals. 👌

have been to this place a lot of times, and it was always one of my favorite restaurant, but this time the dishes really disappointed me,the portion of beef tataki wasn't that big as i saw in the photo, and the slice just can't be thinner. And seems like the portion of the hot pot is smaller then before, because the pot is obviously smaller.i was so surprised at the charge for just some more soup(went to dengdeng last time ,we could get hotpot soup refilled without being charged at all),can't really understand how it worth 30 dollars.<br/>odered grilled chicken gizzard once before ,it was well cooked and fragrant, the one we ordered this time didn't taste like grilled but more like boiled.<br/>we spent 88 dollars for these three things…totally not worth it.
Darren Big Belly
This place used to be a very solid 5/5. But for some reason we ordered the same seafood pot and it came with half the portion. We complained but was told it’s the same portion. The udon in the pot was so little we were eating by the strands. For $33, you would think a pot would feed 2 people. It barely had enough for one! <br/><br/>We spend hundreds here each time so this was not cool.<br/><br/>The flavour was still Smokey and very good 4/5. <br/>But today - 1/5.
Kelvin
Got the cheesy spicy pork belly it taste good but the pork was a bit hard for my personal liking but the flavours were very good and spicy if your into that!<br/>Also got the salmon rice bowl, that taste really good!<br/>Will definitely come back and try the other dishes
Annie Ren
Great place for group dinners. Large space, affordable food and an amazing selection of fried chicken! Not a huge fan of the cheese ones but sweet and spicy is a must if you go!
Pj Kemp
It was nice! Their korean fried chicken was amazing! Best part of the night. Staff were friendly. The lighting was really dark though, couldve used a bit more. But definately going for a return visit!

nice environment and great spicy chicken. it’s a great place to catch up with friends on a night out and the food is delicious. The spicy chicken is quite spicy so be prepared for the heat !!

Just dined here recently with wifey and work friends. We were served by accommodating staff members which set the tone for a great dining experience.<br/><br/>Wife and I had doukbokki and chicken platter, which is their special on Tuesdays.<br/><br/>The chicken platter had 5 different types of fried chicken. It was 37 dollars well spent in terms of gustatory satisfaction and portion size. I particularly liked the one coated with herbs and the traditional sweet and spicy Korean chicken.<br/><br/>Ambience was good except for the very dim lighting which made it hard for me to eat chicken with bones.<br/><br/>Tip: come here on WEEKDAYS to get 2 dollars off each dish you order.<br/>
Michelle Ma Belle
The online review and the menu of this place looked so good.<br/><br/>I liked the dining environment - less like traditional Korean restaurants, and more like a bar. Seemed like the perfect place to catch up with friends or have a drink on evening and weekends.<br/><br/>We have tried fried chicken from many different places. Unfortunately, the fried chicken with cheese from this place just did not hit the brief. Never mind that it was not sweet, spicy, and sticky like Korean fried chicken should be. The skin was crunchy enough, but completely flavorless. The meat was quite dry. And although it was topped with a generous of cheese, it was in powder form, which made the dish even more dry. Would have been better if the cheese was melted.<br/><br/>The other two dishes we ordered were very pleasant though. My friend found the spicy pork belly soup too spicy, but I thought it was absolutely delicious. The pork was cooked perfectly tender, and there was a good amount of vegetables. <br/><br/>The show stopper was the Gorgonzola Pizza. I never have thought of pairing cheese with honey, but for some reason, the flavours just combined so beautiful. We could not stop eating it!<br/><br/>We did find the serving sizes a bit smaller than other similar restaurants, but cost wise it was still very affordable. All in all, Twelve was both a hit and a miss. I think I would just not order fried chicken from here next time, but would still come back just for their pizzas.
Medium_Rare
I only have one word for this place. Awesome.<br/><br/>One thing which I admire about Korean culture is how they have the perfect structure for having a good time. Combining meals with casual drinking, the dishes twelve serve are perfect for a night of glass exchange. I strongly believe that there isn’t another place in Auckland that can match the experience that Twelve provides and thats Korean alcohol at suitable prices with drinking food. <br/><br/>If you’re a Korean liquor lover then Twelve is definitely the spot to be. I came here originally for dinner and drinks for a colleague who is heading over to Amazon in Sydney. We ordered the Snow’d Chicken which was basically Korean fried chicken with melted cheese on top with spicy sauce and white reddish on the sides. Fried Pork Belly Cheese fondue ( yes, cheese fondue it was amazeballs) this was so awesome that we ordered the chicken version straight after. We also got an Altang which is Korean for fish egg soup. I adore the fact that you get fried finger food like chicken here but also hearty Korean soups. All the while we were dining we were also drowning ourselves in Soju.<br/><br/>I had so much fun at dinner that literally 3 hours later I came back with my drinking group of friends and we went bonkers at Twelve.<br/><br/>I will admit that my review will definitely be biased and that is purely because of the fact that I had an absolutely killer time. I mean, I cant remember the last time I came back to a place after only being 3 hours away.<br/><br/>Showstopper: Best place in town to grab some Korean alcohol and drinking meals.<br/><br/>Overall Grade: A+
Jay
A really classy vibe draws you into the place, and the Soju keeps you there. The food is pretty good and so is the service. After many many shots of Soju, you'll stumble out happy and fulfilled.<br/><br/>Skip to morning and you will fully regret and forget the events of the night before and your bank balance will too, but worth it - if you survive.

Spicy Seafood Cheese Ttekokbokki here was pretty average to be honest. But I really like their Deep-fried Black Sesame Powder Chicken and Nagasaki Jjambbong Stew. Nice place to have chill-drinks at :)

Trendy Korean bar food that open til very late ! This type of food is actually what the most of the bars have in Korea! Open til late not too expensive so it works for me. I noticed that Koreans from out side of Auckland LOVE this place as they never get anything like this lol.. so I always take non Korean aucklander here for the last round

One of my favourite restaurants in Auckland. Located in the lively Chancery Square, the one aspect these guys have over their competition across the way is that their outdoor canopy area is much bigger in size, and well lit. Great for large groups and smokers. It always tends to get a bit rowdy after 11 (blame it on the soju) but it's a warm, welcoming feeling & such a great place to be. The staff are very friendly & super attentive, out on the floor in full force. The food is great, always fresh & cooked perfectly. A hell of a place to socialize over a few drinks!
Dxlche
Twelve is always full especially on Friday nights. <br/><br/>We came here to drink their yogurt soju. This concoction is basically soju mixed with Yakult and ice. That’s right, the small little bottles all the asian kids used to have in primary. It tastes exactly like Yakult with a faint hint of soju that doesn’t linger. <br/>It’s perfect for people who don’t like the taste of alcohol. $18 for 1 litre which is not too bad either. <br/><br/>We also ordered a spicy chicken dish with cheese fondue. I never knew how well these two go together until tonight. <br/><br/>Overall the atmosphere is great to meet with a bunch of friends, have some drinks and share lots of food. <br/><br/>After three sharing dishes, 2 beers, 2 or 3 soft drinks, and maybe 4/5 litres of Yogurt Soju it came down to $23 per person split between 8 people.
Rae
Went for an early dinner to destress and drink after an exam and we got some yogurt soju and carbonara chicken. 1 dish was enough to fill the two of us but I can imagine it being pricey and too much food for a single person to eat by themselves.<br/><br/>The restaurant it really big with lots of seating so you can have as many or little people that you'd like which is great.

3/5 Taste<br/>3/5 Display <br/>3.5/5 Quantity <br/>3/5 Customer Service<br/><br/>Decent Korean Bar in CBD<br/><br/>Visited for Unlimited BBQ Pork Belly special, service was pretty slow, quality wasnt the best. Amazed to see then only give us two gas burners when we booked a table for 9. Only served us two plates of veges too. <br/>Next time i'll just book table for one and eat myself for more profit.

Great atmosphere. Love the indoor and outdoor options. Food comes in large portions so you can easily order a variety to share. My fave is their spicy salmon salad and spicy chicken hot plate that comes with a cheese fondue 10/10!
Kirsten
Ordered the Dak Galbi (stir fried chicken in sauce with fondue) and the Jogye Tang (Ginseng chicken in soup with mussels). Massive portions, super delicious and worth your money! The Dak Galbi is chicken stir fried in this lovely sweet and spicy sauce, with sliced onions and cabbage! There was bits of chicken and rice cakes which we dipped in the cheese fondue. So good! The Jogye Tang was also really nice, the soup tastes good with the red vinegary sauce they give you. Without the sauce, the soup would taste bland. Two dishes for two people is too much, my stomach was super bloated after this meal. Really great place for gatherings and catch ups!
Ashleigh Michelle
Came here with a friend the other night and really enjoyed the spacious/classy vibes of Twelve. It's much bigger than I thought and would make a good venue for a function/group gathering. We only came for Soju but decided to order the Tortilla pizza as well. And it tasted amazing!! I could have had another one it was so moreish and I can't wait to go back and order it again (and try some of their other dishes on the menu). <br/><br/>Photo doesn't do it justice 😝

Came here on a Friday night at around 5.30pm when they open for dinner. The waitress quickly led us to a table as there weren’t many people at that time. <br/><br/>We ordered the some light dishes to share - the popular snow wing chicken, spicy seafood soup, and grilled fries & sausages with cheese. All dishes were served very hot and fresh and resembled a little of the food experience in Korea.<br/><br/>The soup had a mixture of spicy and sweet taste to it which added a little extra flavor to the seafood that was cooking in there. The fries and sausages were supposed to be our ‘light snacks’, but we didn’t expect the portion to be so big. The grilled cheese added a creamy taste to the fries and by the time it got to us, it was getting hard.<br/><br/>The chicken was obviously the winner and a recommendation. It’s best to try it with soju. The “snow”, which is cheese, added a little salty creamy taste to the fried chicken. Without the accompaniments of the sauce and the picked radish, this dish wouldn’t be so great. The picked radish has a vinegary taste which balances the deep fried taste so you wouldn’t get sick of it. The cold sweet chilly paste sauce adds a ‘punch’ to the flavor which adds a stronger taste to the chicken. As a whole, it has a crunchy texture from the batter and the texture of tenderized chicken breast.<br/><br/>Taste - 9/10<br/>Size - 9/10<br/>Price - 8/10<br/>Service - 9/10
Thom
Twelve is such a great place, they have nicer seats and more generous space than other similar dining spots around. Food is mostly delicious, It tastes fusion-ish which I think is why some Korean people would not recommend certain dishes. The only let down I've had with their food is with the black sesame fried chicken, the whole plate was so, disappointingly, unevenly pepper coated. <br/>any Gochujang dish is good and can't go wrong with fondue.<br/>And maybe a little bit more soju in the cocktails would do customers some good.
Aimee.
This bar/restaurant is really spacious. However the menu doesn't have a lot of vegetarian or vegan options. My friends ordered hot pot which they thought was food. I ordered the vegetarian udon salad which had almost no udon noodles and just a bunch of salad leaves. The customer service is average and they're not very attentive nor friendly. The price is reasonable and soju is nice but not strong enough.
AKL Food Lover
AWFUL customer service. The food is so average but the service is just BAD! Also the price is on the high end. I'd rather pay the same price on a great fine dinning experience.
Veronica Dharma
Foods are yum and came in huge portion.. I would give 5 star if the service was good. A lot of staff with unhappy face. Open kitchen but the chef looked like cant wait for the home time.

Came here with 3 friends before peak hour.<br/>We ordered a Snow Ice Chicken to share, which is fried chicken with cheese sprinkled on top; and a Raw Fish Rice Bowl for myself. We also got a few bottles of Cass Beer and Soju to share.<br/>The fried chicken was good! Although it wasn't as good as the other reviewers had hyped it up to be, it was hot and fresh and crispy-- the cheese definitely added a nice touch to it. The red sweet chilli sauce is a must, it makes it taste 1000 times better. Portion : price ratio could be better though. <br/>The raw fish rice bowl was really good!! For $12 I was satisfied; the rice was flavoured with a mildly Spicy red sauce, topped with a salad and some raw salmon. It was rich in flavour without being spicy, which was a bonus for me! Would recommend if you're after a rice dish. <br/><br/>The service is also really good!!! The girls and guys who work there are very attentive and friendly! <br/>Overall good experience here. <br/><br/>Price: 7/10<br/>Food: 8/10<br/>Ambience: 10/10<br/>Service: 9/10

Came here for a birthday dinner! We booked before hand and were seated immediately which was great. The table was quite big and fitted a big group (approx 18 people) which makes it the perfect place for a birthday dinner!<br/><br/>Since the vegetarian options are quite limited I bought a "Gorgonzola pizza" - they gave honey on the side. The combination of pizza and honey felt quite weird at first but after I had a bite , those thoughts disappeared it was surprisingly really good. My other friends had fried chicken and soju. <br/><br/>The pricing is decent (not too expensive) and I enjoyed my dish and so did my friends.

Really bad service i experienced last night. It was very cold and no one was attentive enough to turn up the heater even after several wave downs. We ended up going to the remote to turn up the heat as we cannot stand it. However, we got this response (yes we were cheeky to do that) BUT, she then turn both her hands on her head and twirled it around. (Implying we were crazy) to her colleagues. Not sure you want to do that in front of your customers... learn some manners before becoming a waiter.<br/>

Have always walked past this restaurant and it always looks packed. Finally got to try it last night and was super impressed.<br/><br/>We had their snow-wing chicken, grilled pork belly and chicken gizzard, and they were all so delicious! They were a lot of other dishes that I wanted to try, but knowing the portion sizes (based on their prices), we had to only pick 3!<br/><br/>The restaurant also has a nice modern setting indoors, and a spacious outdoor setting for those that want to do bbq. If you want to avoid smelling like BBQ, I'd recommend sitting indoors. Also, it can get quite noisy (being a typical BBQ restaurant), so be prepared to talk really loudly!

Korean club style resturant, share size dishes , easy to understand menu, good food, service is good, toilet is clean. They have big outside sitting area as well, I can bring my dog. Good for big group feeds. Background music is always loud and high. Settings are dark and cool. Gave only 3.5 because they do not allow us to do simple decoration on the wall for our friend's birthday party. Ruined our night.

I have been to twelve quite a few time so far.<br/>I guess it's most popular Korean bar in Auckland CBD right now. I think it's mainly because they have plenty of outside tables and their service is good and prompt. Their tablewares are cute and trendy which may attract interest too.<br/><br/>However portion of the food is ridiculously small despite its expensive price. Here the food is at least $5 more expensive than that of the same food else where. For 5 people, we had to order two big dishes and two side rice dishes to share and thats already around $100. <br/><br/>The taste of the food is just average. Nothing special about it. Soup of nagasaki is tooooo salty, I had to put half a bottle of water to water it down. There was too small amount of sashimi in the sashimi salad. I mean I cant really say any good thing about food and price of this place.<br/><br/>Service is very good. The staff are always attentive and they are fast and prompt! Always welcoming and provide me with fantastic service. <br/><br/>3 stars solely go to good service, convenient location and ambience of the place.

The food is amazing , abit pricey but the dishes are quite big and you could share one between two people . The atmosphere is great ! Lots of drinking (Soju) and good food 👍🏾

Best korean bar in Auckland. Mainly because its CLEAN and lets be honest, all the other bars were mot exactly accomodating in that perspective. <br/>Food is always good and consistant, I always order the Snow Wing Chicken and Budae Jjigae. Highly recommend.

Got to say nice selection food and drink, and food tasted great for a fair price, staff were nice and friendly and food came out in time, only thing was its a bit hard trying to call a waitress when your sitting outside as they mainly just stay inside.

Good food but disappointing service.<br/><br/>Every time I come her and spend $300+ with my mates just drinking..<br/><br/>But every single time I come with my wife and baby... they always say no seats available when I can see lots of seats! They save their table for the alcohol drinkers only... happened 5 times already....<br/><br/>Environment: 4/5<br/>Food Quality: 4.5/5<br/>Food Quantity: 4/5<br/>Service: 0/5<br/>Price: $40pp<br/>Price drinking: $100pp

Finally a decent korean restaurant in town!<br/>Prices are definitely not cheap, but food is delicious!<br/>Big spacious interior and friendly service! The girl serving us was super kind and attentive<br/>They have an open kitchen which is neat<br/>Tried their spicy chicken with cheese fondue and it was so good!<br/>Would definitely come back<br/>Awesome how you don't need to order drinks to get food here! Whereas places like Pocha do

Twelve is a great option if you're in the CBD. Slightly hard to find parking but once your there, this place is pretty cool to hang and chill out. It is great for big groups. We just grabbed a quick bite – tofu and edamame and a few yogurt drinks as recommended by our waitress. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food came out really quickly considering how busy they were.<br/><br/>Would like to go back and try a few more dishes as the menu had loads to offer.

Found this joint right on Zomato and loved the photos and reviews so we decided to dine here tonight.<br/><br/> IN LOVE! Love the vibe and decor here, although the music can be a little loud you can still have a conversation. Sorta feels like you're in a club too, which isn't a bad. . This has potential haha.<br/><br/> The staff are attentive and friendly! I appreciate the cleanliness and smart decor of this place. The food. . Oh my. . <br/> Absolutely amazing! Loved every bite of it 😍 we ordered the beef tartare with salmon sashimi. This is hands down the best beef tartare I've ever had!! Beautifully seasoned and sooo delicious!!! love the generous servings of food in each dish here!!! <br/> We ordered the stir friend chicken with fondue. . CHEESE FONDUE! Man this was equally as delicious LOVED IT! Flavours complimented each other well and the cheese was perfectly cheese and not over bearing!<br/>Lastly we order the fish roe soup, delicious generous servings of meat, tofu, and veges!! <br/><br/> My new favourite Korean place to hit up! We didn't really order much fusion dishes but the ones we ordered I absolutely loved and highly recommend. As I'm writing this review I'm just craving for all dishes again 😍<br/> Must try!!!!

Really nice Asian place for dining and drinking. So much better than Dengdeng next door. There is a large outdoor seating area and also indoor too. The place is well sheltered and nicely decorated which brings good vibes. The beers are however pricey but the soju and food are on point. The downfall is that the toilet queues are quite long and you're not allowed to sit outside and drink after a certain time.

New Korean restaurant/bar in the city (where Wagamama used to be). Good atmosphere for having a few drinks with mates. Modern look with an open kitchen.<br/>Service was pretty bad, she kept just throwing things on the table eg cutlery, water etc and didn't say a word. The other guys were nice though. <br/>We ordered the gorgonzola pizza, spicy chicken with cheese fondue and udon noodles. Food was average and not worth the high price tag. It would be more suited to people who want to drink, rather than looking for good food.
