My favorite donut place! Pillowy soft dough, and the flavour variety is great. I love that it's not overly sweet, and the portion size is manageable. My absolute fave is the cookies & custard and the coffee crumble.

My kids participated in the holiday programme for children to make donuts over the holidays. And they both had a blast. They said it was the best activity they did. And they have done a lot around Auckland. Such a great team at Southernmaid, who really go out of their way to make our children’s experience magical. Bonus we got to eat the donuts. Recommend to all parents who want hand on experience for kids. We will be back next holidays.

I only got the cinnamon sugar donut. Should’ve came earlier to try out the more exciting flavours -don’t wake up late kiddos. It was actually really good. I’m not a fan of donuts seeing as places such as Kirspy Kreme are way too sweet for my liking. But while eating this light buttery cinnamon-y goodness, it didn’t feel like I was getting fat yo. Hmm that’s dangerous... I’ll be back for more then :/

Would expect them to sell fresh donuts seeing they make the donuts there. Brought an original glazed donut during lunch to find it fridge cold. Icing didn’t stay on the donut and tasted at least a day old. Won’t be returning. Hope they improve the quality of their donuts.

Was craving donuts so we came in after lunch and bought 4 mini bite donuts. Price was decent, only costing $3.50 for four. My favourite would be the one with jam inside. The appearance looked the most plain but the filling was sweet and juicy. The chocolate glazed with sprinkles was also good. Would definitely come back for some good and cheap afternoon tea.

My sister has been going on and on about southernmaid donuts since krispy kreme came into the game and I finally tried it out on wednsdy. I booked my boys for the donut holiday workshop and it was so awesome! My boys loved it and I finally got to taste the donuts and I have to say it is HANDS DOWN THE BEST F’N DONUTS IVE EVER TASTED! Beautiful and soft and just the rigt sweetness! I have to say my fave flavour has to be the greentea donut! If you have a sweet tooth then you have to check these guys out!

These are such good doughnuts! I bought 25 (I think) to make my mums birthday cake it was amazing she loved it! They are also at the Glenfield night markets and I always get the mini ones on a stick! Highly recommended
