Quick service. The food was very tasty. We dined in, serving sizes were adequate. Pork belly on rice was delicious 👍🏽

Food and service was amazing. We got the crab noodle soup. Coming back from our Vietnam trip not long ago. Their food definitely met the standard. Would recommend!

One of my favorite places in Auckland for lunch and dinner. Their hot pot is perfect size for small groups of people. Soup paste is nice. It's sweet and sour. They have dessert occasionally - black rice yogost, salted egg sponge cake and sugar cane juice. Ask the staff on the day for these.

Such a great hidden gem with its delicious food and excellent service. Meals came put pretty quickly and the cocktails were tasty.

I came by for lunch and it was quite empty. I had the choice of table. The menu was fairly large and had interesting items in it. I ordered the soft shell crab and the pork and chicken chop on rice. The soft shell crab was really nice but quite expensive. The curry sauce that came with it was really tasty. I was served with just a pork chop rice. It pork chop was nice and flavourful and I had wanted to also taste the chicken one. I didn't really notice it since I was engrossed with the crab for a bit. I probably could have called them over but it wasn't that bad of a mistake, even though the place was quite empty. I was charged correctly though. I quite like the food but it is a bit priced, which could've been due to the crab. Service was ok but the wrong order was a bit annoying. Edit: They have snails which were interesting. They did require digging it out with toothpicks.

Tried Pho Pho Vietnamese Restaurant for the first time. Rang and reserved a table beforehand and I am glad I did as the restaurant was full shortly after I arrived. Delicious Pho with an excellent tasting soup base. The kids meals were good value for money and the kids said it was yummy 😋. I'll definitely come back and try out other dishes.

The best Vietnamese in NZ I’ve ever had! We come to Pho Pho regularly and it is always perfect. The staff are so lovely. Definitely recommend the Vermicelli Salad with Chicken & spring rolls!!

Visited with modest expectations, but left extremely satisfied with the meal. The restaurant isn't very spacious, and while the parking lot is sizeable, it can be challenging to find a spot during the evening hours. The staff is friendly, and the food is both well-prepared and tasty. However, the portion size of the rice noodles is a bit small. Despite that, I plan to visit occasionally with family. Highly recommended!
Helen
Yummy local family restaurant with good food, friendly service, and clean environment! Even the chef kept smiling at us while he was busy working from the kitchen. Will definitely pay another visit!

You must try out the hot pot here!! This place is the best for quality Hotpot! Highly recommend to have this at a rainy day or depressed day where it will take away your down side and rejuvenate your body! Fresh shrimp tastes so nice. MUST TRY HOT POT!!

Delicious! Beef pho and fried dumplings. Perfect! Will be back.

The seafood stir fry noodle dish had 80% noodle 10% seafood and 10% veges. Not worth $23.90. Won tons tasted more like pork sausage meat not mince.

I always loved pho in my life as my soul food and I have been coming to this place every week since my first visit. Thank you always for the best food and service. I will come see you again next week.

Been back multiple times and always ordered something different, I am never disappointed! YUMMY!!! Great service, great food and great price. Highly recommend the fresh spring rolls, wontons, vermicelli bowls and fried rice noodles with pork. If cheap, delicious food is what you're after and you don't need fancy decor then this is perfect

Vietnamese restaurant runs by Korean. That is why you can see a little bit of Korean inspired dish in it. Flavors is pretty good. Not too Korean and also not too Vietnamese. Portion was pretty good.

This place is a go to for my boyfriend and I when we don’t want to cook. We have dined in and had take away. We once ordered takeout to collect an hour and a half later as we had something to go to and picked it up on our way home! <br/>Clean venue with friendly staff who are happy to answer any questions about any dishes. Food is fresh and very tasty. They have an extensive menu with many dishes and I recommend ordering a couple to share

I waited 30 minutes for my order when i was initially told 20. Then when i got my order i made the mistake of not checking. By the time I got home I found they gave me 2 springrolls on vermicilli instead of porkchop/chicken chop on rice and crispy chicken on rice......cant be bothered going back to change. Too far away. Very disappointing. The servings were half of what I would normally get from various other Vietnamese restaurants....this cost more too...

I went to Pho Pho , Ordered rice with prawns on top. When order served they also added a soup with that which was of chicken. I was not supposed to take a chicken due to restriction. I put the soup on rice and then realized tastes something different and asked the team and they told its chicken. After taking one spoon of food I was not able to eat anything and threw all the food. <br/>Really disappointed when a person ordered seafood so why they provide chicken soup instead of seafood or not to serve/let inform the customer. Even the staff was not felt sorry once I raised with them. Will never recommend anyone.

I went to this place around 12 p.m. on Saturday with a friend.<br/><br/>Atmosphere: 3/4<br/>Easy to get a carpark outside. The place is spacious and clean.<br/><br/>Food: 3.5/4<br/>I had seafood rice noodle<br/>The food was good. Had heaps of seafood inside, which is uncommon. The soup could have been more thick.<br/><br/>Service: 3.5/4<br/>Reasonable fast service.<br/><br/>Cost: 3.5/4<br/>Pretty reasonable- standard vietnamese restaurant price.

closer to 3.5<br/>nothing extraordinary to comment on. the noodles are not bad and given in decent portion as are the toppings. the setting can be improved on.

This is a place that my girlfriend and I have contemplated a long before coming in. The menu didn’t look that amazing and minimum price for a main dish was $15 so it hasn’t been on our food to try list. But today we finally gave it a try and it is definitely a good restaurant to dine in. The restaurant looks very clean and tidy, so it’s very comfortable. They provided some very nice tea as well while waiting for our food. Some very excellent customer services, greeted us nicely and were very polite.<br/><br/>Food was amazing and it tasted much better than it looks on the menu. The wonton seafood soup noodle was the best seller on its menu and it definitely lived up to its name. The broth is flavorful and not too salty. The amount of ingredients is incredible, all sorts of seafood including muscle, prawn, fish cake, and others like wonton, pork, veges. It is a very generous portion for a $15 dish. Definitely worth it to try it out as it tasted very nice.<br/><br/>We also ordered a grilled chicken and pork chop on rice. It came with an egg and a soup on the side, and portion size is very decent. The chicken looked dried at first but when we tried it, it was very tender and the flavor was plentiful. The pork chop was seasoned really well too both tasted nice but the pork chop was a bit hard, so would recommend having the grilled chicken only as to having them both one dish.<br/><br/>Overall, recommend to try this place out!<br/><br/>Customer service - 5<br/>Cleanliness - 5<br/>Price - 4<br/>Taste - 4.5<br/>Quantity - 5

Came here and ordered their pork chop rice noodle.  The pho was good temperature and the noodles was very good.  The pork chop was also quite tasty and I thought it was strange at first when they give us spring onion and ginger sauce to complement with the meat.  It turned out that it was quite good with the pork.  It was good overall, nice quantity and good value.<br/><br/>Taste - 3.5/5<br/>Service - 3.5/5<br/>Ambiance - 3/5

I’ve eaten here before and I remember the pho being amazingly balanced and a few more herbs and greens. I think the ingredients were the same and unfortunately I’m not a fan of surimi. The entree summer roll was sweet, and delightfully humble. The stock for the main was a little lacking in intensity but a bit of chilli and a mix of some of the table sauces brought it to life. Just didn’t have that fresh ‘hit’. The service was fine, I arrived at the busy time and although I asked for additional vegetables they didn’t really have anything to accomodate. All in all, it’s okay. The spring rolls are great (I’ve had them before) and I think I just got spoilt recently with some mind blowing comparisons.

I do not even want to give one<br/>I made a reservation for wednesday 19 December 2018 at 6:30pm for steamboat and two vermicelli!<br/>They were closed<br/>I was hoping it doesnt happen to me because I heard it happened to others previously<br/>Terrible service<br/>I will not go back there ever in my life<br/><br/>

Probably wanted the 3.5 option, but this was too good with service to rate lower. I’d rate the new Zomato low though. Unlike zomato these guys were easy to find, quick and explained what was in the food. I found the food a bit bland, but I’m no Vietnamese expert. The meat was beautifully textured, my vegetables could have been a bit more warm. Too much contrast with fried chicken. <br/>Gluten free was easy but you have to ask, as nothing is obviously gluten free. The fried chicken was potatoe flour which was a nice change. <br/>We are likely to return.
Hi-De Tanaka
Small portion size for what you pay so it wasn’t really that filling and the service time was longer than average. The food quality was smooth as expected of the price tag but I think the broth can be more flavourful.

Good raw beef pho <br/>The broth is better than Hansan's but not as good as Try it out. However, this place has better cuts of raw beef than Try it out. The staff were polite, the place is cosy and food came quite quickly. Would come here again

I haven't had much Vietnamese food so I may have low standards but the Beef Rice Noodle Soup is one of my favourites! I think they've recently changed ownership though, the service is no where near as good as it used to be, prices have increased and on many occasions the girl waitress (there is only one) has either forgotten our order or bought us the wrong meal. Please bring back the other Korean man, he was the best and the place is just not the same without him!!
A Wee Bit Critical
The style of this restaurant is very “food court” like and doesn’t boast a great dining environment. On the other hand the service and food quality make up for it. I ordered the stir fried vegetable on rice, which was quite enjoyable.

Worst food we have had possibly ever. 2 seafood dishes consisted of a total of 2 prawns and 2 pieces of what we think was fried Surimi.  Seriously awful. Went mostly in the bin. PLus small servings, if it had been good it would have been overpriced. We never tasted anything vaguely this bad ever in vietnam.
Sandy Hsiao
This is definitely not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant which you can immediately tell by looking at the menu. Nonetheless the food is reasonably tasty and a big plus is that the portion is huge (definitely bigger when you dine in compared to take away) and my family all left feeling extremely full. We also really enjoyed the iced coffee. The service was also great. Overall a decent cheap and filling eat if you don’t care about authenticity.
Ashleigh Michelle
Really enjoyed this cute, family owned Vietnamese restaurant. The service here is the best I've had at any Vietnamese restaurant, it definitely beats Hansan. The wontons are amazing and have a much tastier filling than most takeaways do.
Ian Pann
I had the vegetarian fried noodle dish and it came out better than I expected. The flavoring and quantity of the dish was good and really satisfying. Only thing I think would've been better was to have it in a bowl instead of a plate as trying to scoop up some of the sauce was difficult. Other than that, overall experience was great

Cheap and delicious vietnamese food. It's so good to find a place close to home, that serves vietnamese food for an affordable price. Family came and had a good time. A lot of food was given for the price. Would happily come back again.

Came here last night to try some pho and left feeling super pho<br/>Ordered the fried spring rolls and wontons to start off with. The spring rolls are probably the best I've ever had and the sauce it came with was delicious. The wontons was another favourite..the filling was so yum and juicy.<br/>For mains we ordered the lemon grass chicken and pork on rice. Absolutely yum. The chicken was my fave because it was cooked to perfection<br/>I also ordered their chicken noodle with wontons. With such a big bowel I could barely devour it. The<br/>broth was really delicious but please don't be extra like me and put in the crushed chilli they have provided. Mine ended up so spicy I was choking every time I took a sip.<br/>Overall I really enjoyed eating here and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they really look after their customers.

Delicious food, awesome staff, fast service. We are regulars! Only down mark is the decor of the place but you can't expect anything fancy when it's cheap and cheerful. <br/>We love this place!

Stopped by for lunch. The menu had a fair selection of different foods, some of which seemed like a combination of Chinese and Vietnamese.<br/><br/>I had the fried rice pork chops. The fried rice was alright but the pork chop was quite different from the pork chops of other Vietnamese restaurants. The flavour was different and it doesn't have the same crispness and juiciness. The had a mussel stuffed pork entree which I thought was nice. Their soups were a bit bland though. It took about 20 minutes to get our food with a couple of takeaways before us.<br/><br/>Price wise, mostly under $20.

Great pho, I got the chicken noodle it was awesome, one of the best pho i've had in Auckland, it tasted fresh and not drenched in oil, the service was also amazing, I got a greeting from all the staff (including the chef) will def be back :)
Samantha
Great cheap pho. What more can I say. My partner and I enjoyed our time here and would love to come back to try other soups. Fried spring rolls were also really tasty 🍜👌🏼

Large portions and very filling for a cold day. Also got free wontons when i went. The best thing for me is the chicken pho. Simple and filling! A great place to go for a meal and also worth its price.

I'm giving this place a 4.0 because i reckon they got the best broth here! I went here with my friends and they all loved it. The portions are quite big so most of them couldn't finish it. My favourite is chicken rice noodle.<br/><br/>Pros:<br/>- Big portions.<br/>- Friendly staff.<br/>- Delicious vietnamese noodle.<br/>- Good value for money.<br/>- One top place for soup!<br/><br/>Cons:<br/>- Larger dishes can be a little expensive.<br/>- Average ambience.

Came here for a simple, cheap, filling meal and I can say I was not let down. <br/>I ordered the Chicken rice noodle soup and the portion was huge! I ended up with a lot of noodles left behind (which I feel bad for but I was so bloated!). I also like how they provide coriander without asking, which I haven't actually seen many Pho restaurants do. Taste was also very good! <br/>I feel like it could do with a little more meat content, but I'm not a huge meat eater so I was relatively satisfied. Also ordered a side of Deep fried spring rolls and this was quite good! Although please be aware the restaurant is Korean influenced so it is not authentic - but very good and filling especially for the price! Keen to come back and have more!

No... Just no...😩 Another Korean run Vietnamese restaurant that does it wrong again. 😂 Just like Pho Bay this place doesn't offer you an authentic experience with their food. Their menu is culturally confusing. 😱 still... A lot better then Pho Bay that's for sure. You guys should go there hahaha it's almost a joke 😒 maybe I'm just being harsh because im vietnamese but if you're not and don't know the food well then I guess why not? just eat in denial 😄

I heard about a new Korean run Vietnamese restaurant that wasn't bad and so decided to give it a shot. Turns out it was just that. Not bad.<br/><br/>Food<br/>The menu is a bit expensive compared to other Viet restaurants and features some Vietnamese looking dishes and some not so Vietnamese looking dishes.<br/><br/>In true Vietnamese food fashion, I ordered the Spring Rolls as an appetizer. They were fried nicely and served with lettuce and fish sauce which you'd expect. The crisp and flavors were good so I enjoyed the dish.<br/><br/>My main was Stir Fried Chicken on Vermicelli. Whether intentional or not, the chicken was bland. Without the multiple sauces spread across the table, the dish would have been tasteless. The portion size was huge which explains why they were charging $13 for it. The vermicelli was plentiful as were the mixed chopped cucumbers, carrots, sprouts. While it wasn't by any means a bad meal, I was a little disappointed the meal didn't taste anywhere near as good as it looked.<br/><br/>Service<br/>The waitress was friendly enough and food was served reasonably quickly so this gets an easy pass from me in the service department.<br/><br/>Ambiance<br/>As I briefly mentioned at the start, the restaurant is obviously not Vietnamese. It has a modern look to it and was very spacious and clean.<br/><br/>Overall<br/>PhoPho is clearly not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Many of the menu items are clearly more Chinese or Korean in nature. In that regard, PhoPho can look to satisfy a hungry group with different culinary cravings as it has sufficient variety in its menu and the portion sizes to back up the above average price tag. Based on my experience, I would be indifferent if faced with the choice to eat at PhoPho again.

Newly opened Vietnamese restaurant in east Auck. Their noodle soups are clean, and come boiling hot which is nice. I also like how they provide coriander without having to ask. Wish there was more meat toppings though. <br/>I had heard really good things about this place from others especially their service, that's why I went to try, but unfortunately they were quite busy and there was nothing good about their service..

This restaurant is best Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland!! Here fresh spring roll and sauce are so yummy. Beef soup also awesome. And then fried rice, fried noodle, steam boat and so on has variety menu!!Friendly staff and nice service :)

Very nice newly open restaurant! Food was yummy and big portion!! Definitely worth for visit!! ❤<br/><br/>They serve many variety of food included noodle soups, stir fried noodles, fried and many specialty dishes !! (The huge fried snapper was one of their specialty !🙈😍)<br/><br/>Good customer serving and clean environment. Definitely will come back again with more friend and family! 😊<br/><br/><br/>

10/10 customer service, and nice environment. Pricing is realistic and affordable. However food is just average, but the quantity of it is pretty good but the flavour was just not there :( but would not hesitate to come back in the future again, hopefully by then the food might improve
Claudia
Came here for lunch since I was craving Vietnamese and this is a newly opened restaurant. The spring rolls were amazing, freshly fried and wasn't too oily. The pho tasted great and was full of flavour, I could barely finish half of the noodles as they were very generous with the portions. Service is good and the place is nice and clean, and the food is such good value too (~$10 for a massive bowl of noodles). Would come back again if I'm in the area :)
Nzhyesun
clean place with friendly stuff. <br/>this place is more korean and Vietnamese combine style. soup has more clean taste? less fatty? <br/>we ordered chicken vermicelli, seafood, pork chop, combination rice noodle all with special noodle which is more glutinous? more chewy? anyway for me i like this better. I like it how the soup is really hot specially in this cold weather. bit disappointed with the toppings too little pork chop :( like how they give you corriender with the bean sprout :) vermicelli was very disappointed :( chicken was nice .. <br/>its only bean sprout lot of it, lettuce and bit of carrot and radish pickel.. they ask if we would like coffee at the end which is nice. oh and the spring rolls were very delicious! love the taste !
Winnie Luo
Not the most authentic Vietnamese food. BUT still good quality food! For the tiny price you pay, this place is great because they give you ALOT of food.<br/><br/>Great place to come and fill your tummy without breaking the bank.

Sorry for not taking a picture but quite a spacious restaurant with friendly waiters. However, when I went for lunch at 1pm, most of the tables were empty but with leftover food and uncleaned tables. So they had to clean it on the spot for us. Good range of dishes on menu, I had beef rice noodles ($10) and strongly recommend. I LOVE IT :D the soup is amazing! The beef was nice and tender! And noodles was cooked nicely and a good portion! They give u sprouts as a side to put in, which I liked. Will probably return during the cold winter for a nice bowl of warm, yummy noodle + soup!!!! <br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>
Marcella
Tried this place out hoping for some good authentic Vietnamese food but unfortunately I didn't really get it. We got the wonton noodle soup and the pork vermicille. We got the wonton soup first and had to wait a little longer for my pork vermicille. The wontons were a nice surprise. The wontons had nice flavour and the soup was tasty. <br/><br/>The pork vermicille was a disappointment. The pork was actually honey roast pork that you can probably just buy at a normal asian roast shop with some vermicille and salad here and there. I did like the Korean pickled radish they put in the salad. The flavour all together wasn't too bad but I was hoping for some stirfry pork with Vietnamese flavours.<br/><br/>Overall, this place doesn't seem to carry a lot of Vietnamese flavours and is Korean and Chinese influenced instead. Flavours aren't too bad though. Might come back to try other things on the menu.
Deryn
We were so impressed with the service and the food... so delicious!! Having traveled to Vietnam a number of times... we just love the food and so happy to have found a local.

If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food, PhoPho is not for you. Right from the menu, it is more Korean than anything else. We started with deep-fried Spring rolls. (I regret not having taken a photo until we finished them.) Lettuce leaves that came with them were too small to be used for wrapping - should Spring roll be wrapped in lettuce & taken with fish sauce?! My wife had a meat combination rice noodle soup. Beef rice noodle soup was on the menu & I asked for a rare beef pho - a popular Vietnamese dish. Raw beef slices were brought separately with a bowl of noodle soup. The essence of Vietnamese food - Vietnamese mint leaves & fish sauce were not much used for serving at PhoPho. (Food - 2.5/5; Service - 3/5; Ambience - 2.5/5)
