Great place to have an authentic Indian food. I have been going to this place since I moved to Sandringham 2.5 years ago . Friendly and hardworking owner ( lady ) I never had any issue with their service and food. Welcoming staffs and management You won't find the big portion delicious food for that price anywhere in Sandringham. For an example South Indian Dosa👌,Best dosa with best Chutney and Sambar. Thanks Xotic 😊

Samosas were very very delicious. Not so spicy and crunchy too. Keep it up. From Auckland city bmw team

BHANWAR SAINI went 1 step beyond within their (Xotic restaurant) to deliver customer needs. Well understanding about customer expectation and needs made customer very happy. Manushai have been extremely polite with a great smiles on her face creating a great vibes and delighting exciting customer during my second visit to her upward swing on her delivery to the customer from my first visit. Great works all around by her keep it up. Very Big Congratulations to XOTIC SWEET AS - SCORE 10/10

We have been buying food from here for quite a while, every couple of weeks, and always enjoyed it, bought it today and couldn’t eat it. As It was very very spicy, ended up wasting it, I am so disappointed, not everybody wants to eat very spicy food, don’t think we’ll be going back there again.
Brandon Liao
Horrible customer service, dine anywhere else but here. Jesus christ.

Tried the pani puri for the first time and I must say ... what’a waste of money it was... no tamarin sauce ... the flavoured water was nasty...can easily feel a readymade mixture of pouch...fully flavourless... :(
Danny Dsouza
First time here and certainly the last!<br/>How can someone not get paani puri right? It had sour water and tasted completely stale. Raj Kachori had no kachori to begin with and the yogurt was sour. Moreover, Staff were defending the food rather than taking feedback on board.<br/>Complete waste of time and money.

Ordered aloo paratha, no quality, no salt, it’s huge but no taste at all. Didn’t get pickle with it. The aloo paratha is without butter and onion. It’s only boiled potato stuffed in dough that has no taste.
Aditya Sehgal
Great place, came with my family, everyone loved it.

We just got back from xotic . Was craving for some nice Indian meetha but unfortunately we planned to visit this place , the ambience lookes quite good and to be honest the things at display looked really tempting but they tasted awful . We ordered rabri flooda , gulab jaman and dal ka halwa . Halwa was just ok but rabri flooda tasted terrible , my husband had one bite and asked me to taste it , sugar particles were literllay coming in mouth and it smelled really bad like phatta hua doodh I thought maybe it’s rotten or maybe it’s rose water smell , my bad we dint ask the waitress to change it or tell her and got everything packed as our moods got spoiled , our car even had a bad smell when we reached home maybe it was old expired falooda , dal halwa was ok and gulab jaman were too sweet . The customer services was good and both the ladies were courtyard polite but the desserts were terrible . This was the first and last time we visited this place

Have been going here for years with my family. This place serves quite authentic like foods compared to other indian food stops. And I’ve always mentioned about this place to so many of my friends especially Indians who have recently come to NZ and wants a taste of home away from home. However their service has always been lacking. The last three times I’ve gone there to order takeaway while waiting in line (like a mannered citizen should) the staff including the manager always accept those cutting people off. It’s disgusting to see coming from the manager herself! She should atleast correct them instead of letting them jump infront of those who were actually waiting patiently. Someone better be doing something about this hideous habit. Sad to say you have lost a loyal customer and I will be passing on my experience to everyone

Worst place to visit ever. If there is option to give 0 rating i would love to give them. <br/>Arrogant staff who have full authority to misbehave with customer. 2 ladies managing the restaurant with extremely bad customer service. I have ordered 2 aloo Prathas and i had been informed that it will take 20 minutes and i stood there for 50+ minutes and they have not given my order. When i asked them they said that customer sitting in the restaurant are our customer but the one who are ordering over the counter are not !!!!! When I asked for my amount refund than they took another 10-15 minutes because both of arrogant ladies doesn't know who to operate the refund completely. Worst place to take your family ....

For Indian sweets this is best place to try and buy festive treats or special sweets. Specially, sweets are good around Diwali festival.<br/>Restaurant food is ok, not the best but good budget food options.<br/>Street food from India is expected to be more yummy.
Nitansh Shrivastava
Good quality food and great variety of Indian food. I enjoy having standard thali. Daily $7 special food attracts. The lassis are also great.
Humera Syes
Bought 2 Aloo parathas for dinner. Turned out horrible. It was like eating raw dough. Half of it was super thick and just inedible.<br/>It had absolutely no taste apart from the taste of raw dough. Its not the first time we had a bad experiance with Aloo Paratha but today was over the roof. Very disappointed. We spent almost 40 mins in travel time. I would not recommend going to this place for Aloo Paratha n Chole Bhathure as we had a similar experience with it.<br/>Strongly recommend Bikanerwala Henderson if you love vegetarian. Hope this gets conveyed to the ameture Aloo Paratha Chef.<br/>I little bit like the curries n few sweets though. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ALOO PARATHA FOR A TAKEAWAY.
Bhupendra Kenia
We ordered a pav bhaji and chole bature. Service is late, we got it after 20 mins. The bhaji tasted weird , the chole bature was ok. In all not an experience worthy to go back

If I could I would give this place a zero. Went in today. There appeared to be only two people manning things at the restaurant. One of them was intently focused on cleaning tables. And the other ignored me and my family waiting at the counter and started serving someone else near the other counter. After ten minutes of no action we asked the lady who was still cleaning if she could serve us. She rudely told us to wait and then told us to go to the front counter to order. We then went to the front corner and spent another ten minutes waiting to no avail. One lady kept serving sweets. The other one finished her cleaning, went behind the original counter where we had been and starter serving someone who had just walked in the door!!!!! She didn't even acknowledge us waiting at the front counter to order - as she had instructed us to do. Horrible place. Avoid like the plague. Needless to say I and my family aren't visiting again.
Sooraj
I went here for the first time today, stood at the counter while two of their staff was busy cleaning and walking around and completely ignorant with the fact that I was waiting to be served. Not even saying please wait or no such minimum customer service qualities. After saying “Excuse me” one of the staff rudely replies, you have to order at the front counter, where there was no one even standing. Again after standing at the front counter for 5 minutes I walked out and went to the next restaurant right next to it and had a wonderful lunch. If anyone wants to test their patience or check if you have Blood Pressure, this is the place to go.
Salmontrotter
We went to get some jalebi but it was near sold out so tried barfi instead. Pistachio garnishing and hints of almond tasted very good; authentic and melt in mouth texture. I will definitely try more sweets as the range looked good in the cabinets.
Nikki S.
I'm shocked by the low reviews of this place as I had a lovely experience dining there last night. I suspect that management has changed, as I heard bad things about the restaurant from someone who went about 7 months ago but I can see that the reviews have generally been very positive in the last 3 months.<br/><br/>The service was very friendly, the restaurant clean and the food fresh and delicious. I tried a standard thali, channa bhatura, cardamom tea and some sweets and everything was great! As a frequent Sandringham road diner I would say it rivals some of my favourite Indian restaurants in that district. Would definitely return.
Jaskaran Singh
Being there twice. Friendly staff. The food was really good. Tried paneer pakoda, samosa, gobi prantha and ginger tea. Would love to visit again

Been there thrice. Tried Samosa, Rasgulla, Cake Rusk, Balushahi, Jaleebi and Perha. Honestly speaking, the taste was really good. They are a bit pricey but I didnt find any problem with the taste or the Customer service.<br/>
Mr Clo
Hi<br/>The absolute shittiest restaurant ever. Absolutely no consistency within their service and food.<br/><br/>The Shahi Paneer has changed 4 times in front of me. With one having peas to one having a thick gravy. I can only see one reason for this to occur, and that is that the chef keeps changing and this due to the fact that no employee wants to work for such a company. Honestly...WTH!<br/><br/>Good service is also hard to come by many employees avoid customers and some even enter the customer toilets and talk on their phone in the corridor of the toilets. This was absolutely shocking. Consistency within service is also shocking, one time their second serving of sambar was complimentary and the other time they charged; and it wasn't even like it was a different employee, it was the same girl. <br/><br/>The owner really needs to get their act together and sort their business out as many other options are available right next door.
Muhammad Dilawer Hayat
If you just want to try how stale Rusgula and Jalebi taste like... Try Xotic. They will never disappoint you! What else can I say... Just avoid this place.
Informed Optimist
Bad service and worse food.  Cheapest possible ingredients.  Don't be fooled by vegetarian friendly and think you are safe.  Save your money and go else where.
Jonelle
Nothing looked either fresh or inviting, and when the council hygiene rating was "unclassified" that was enough for me !
Ravi
This is good place to eat all vegetarian indian food . The food always tasty slightly different which i think is great the staff are very frindly and greet u with a smile and dahi puri was delicious...😊😊😋😋
Shihana
Was really amazed by the variety of sweets and savoiries that was up there ready. Tried the rasmalai and masala tea. The rasmalai was simply amazing and would definitely try it every once in a while. However the tea took too long to be served and was too watery. You would go better off without trying it
Gaurav Jaiswal
What's wrong with you guys now. We used to come here once in week but your quality of foods are getting down. We ordered Dosa which was very dry and even stuffing was not Fresh. I will give 3.5 to customer service but food was so disgusting. We will never come back may be. You guys have good location and good sitting plan but quality of foods and sweets are 👎. Pls consider this as postive feedback coz i waa your regular customer that's why i am telling true.
Glaze Johnson
Super varieties of sweets is always very attractive here. My each visit refresh my nostalgic taste and Good customer service also appreciated <br/>

Awesome place, superb ambience. My go to place for all the Indian delicacies especially the moong dal halwa. I truly enjoy being here. A must try. Strongly recommended!

What a tasty food specially the butter paneer. Cleanliness is also very good and staff was so polite. We will be back soon. Thank you team Xotic.

Good staff, quality food, must try the chole batture, meals have the quality, sweets are also good. Most of the items which I have tried were good

I don't u understand why there are so many hate comments. Come on people! Get a life.. anyway I love this place coz of their Food, service & great vibes!
Prashant Gupta
Horrible experience! Me and my wife came to this place for some sweets after dinner as we live nearby. We were the only customer, and still had to wait for readymade sweets for 20 mins, as the girl was busy talking to someone on the phone. Then they served the sweets without spoons asking us to pick it ourselves. Sweets with bitter and rude service! Now they give u free food if you give them good reviews. What a pathetic way of getting good reviews rather than improving their food and service.

Amazing food great service delicious 😋 food ...I went with my whole family on Sunday last week ..I am very pleased 😀 to see a place like this In Auckland which we definitely Needed.. I am living in Auckland from last 7 Years .. I have not tasted anything like XOTIC is having... The place is so Neat and Clean With excellent Customer Service... I really liked the place and Definitely I will only go to XOTIC in Future.... No where else 👍.....😀
Yadi Ghuman
Great place great food..... taste is awesome.. service is good too.. would love to visit again nd again.. sometimes they choose a playlist which should not be played in a restaurant. aloo parantha is love..

I went there during my vacation to NZ. I can't even begin to explain how bad the service and sweets were. It was by far the worst experience during my vacation I had and that is taking into account that not only did the airline loose one of my bags, but also my wallet being stolen along with $275 USD inside with my drivers license, credit cards and basically all my life inside the wallet. I was so looking forward to having something delicious and comforting to eat, but all I got was poor service and garbage food instead. If you are looking for something to ruin your day, by all means go to this place. You won't be disappointed with the level of incompetence, rudeness and disgust, if that is what you are looking for.
Andrew Norman
I can find no words that can explain the experience here. Being sworn at by staff and treated rudely left me disappointed that people whom are trying to make a new life here in NZ cannot even treat others nicely. I strongly discourage anyone going here. This place is horrible. When in Rome.
Stacey-Jae Robinson
Xotic! You are looking real pretty nowadays! The smaller shop is perfectly set out. It looks clean and inviting. The lady who served me was smiling as I walked in and was welcoming. Since my last visit a couple years ago, the whole place has had a well deserved makeover and the smaller shop is far FAR better than the huge shop that is now next door and in the middle of renovation and looks like a new establishment will take place once it’s all finished. I have to say the sweets looked delicious and inviting in the new glass cabinets. The way it is all put together is awesome and well done. I will definitely return, and won’t hesitate to recommend to others. Thumbs up from the Maoridian (Maori-Indian)
Shivani Kataria
True to other people words, this place is not worth going. I ordered Raj Kachori and omg I never had this pthetic Raj Kachori ever in my life. I am a person used to Haldriams Kachori Standards and would want the chef to learn how a Raj Kachori is made. If you want to waste your money, definitely go there.
A
I'm giving you 0 you even deserve less then this but I can't go in negative cuz all time staff is so rude towards customers specially I don't know her name but I asked another girl there she told she is manager her name Gurpreet all time I came there music is so loud and it's so annoying and all time just punjabi song. We thought it's just punjabi restaurant. Some of my friend they are from South India. They don't know about punjabi music. It was so bad for us.<br/>Food was so good.
Kanika Sen
Well I wonder why its not even shut yet....it belongs to some wannabes who think they run the best restaurant in town. I would rather starve than eat in a place like this where kitchen is worse than a public toilet. I have always fell ill....i regret taking my little daughter here. The lady behind the counter is just so unprofessional she behaves as if her customers are a getting a free treat.<br/>Laundromat next door is run by the the same staff serving us wonder if anyone washes their hands well one day i also saw pile of 💩💩💩💩outside felt very Sick. Owner (lady) pls let this place RIP its not good to make others Sick!!!!!!
Andy
Congrats! Heard you have won the worst eatery and restaurant award for NZ nationally. Great achievement in this new category ......hope you keep this up and congrats to the team again. I was too ashamed to even review this place as never wanted anyone to know I was there😎😎. Hope you close down soon. Cheers <br/>
Sunil
Staff is extremely rude. We placed order for samosa chat and Kachori after confirming the freshness However, Was shocked to hear the same waitress asking chef to microwave kachori. Additionally, when I asked her to change kachori to samosa ( wasnt even served). Her attitude and rudeness was shocking. She rudely replied Have a seat, it will be served on your table. To narrow it down to particular staff, Around 11 am on 12/09 ( Waitress with pimples on her face)..
Veronica Dharma
The rudeness level of the staffs are too high to describe. If don't want to please customer, just close the shop, that easy.. what are in their mind by opening business without caring customer's needs
Chirag Sharma
I'm sorry to review this however this place really sucks. Ambiance is very dull staff is ok food is horrible. I will not recommend anyone to go here.. I signed my food cold. Have to leave my food in between.
Aanchal Thapli
I would never suggest anyone to go to that place first thing which annoyed me was the girl standing on the counter . I think she was the owners daughter she don't know how to welcome customer but know pretty well how to make weird faces. 2nd thing good was pathetic. Only I liked something was masala dosa . It's a cheap place to eat but really not worth going .. and when I asked the same girl for wifi password the reply she gave me was wifi is not for you (customer) imagine guys. Would you like to go to such place ..
FooD4Life
Guys never go to this place ....You won't be happy even tho food is not expensive here but still waste of money. And I can't explain how terrible service is.<br/>Specially that owner/manager Lady.<br/>I would rather go to other restaurants nearby in sandringham. Bawarchi is my favorite one.
Mizna Afzali
Quite an elaborate menu. We like this place. Their samosas are really good. I love the rasgullas and rasmalai from their sweets section though all their sweets taste just like we get in india. Really good.
Tony Kato
Disgusting food! Customer service really poor. Indian guy smells when he delivered food. Food was cold ugh. Never ever want to come back to this place!
Sam Oliver
Would not recommend Xotic if it was my last meal on earth. There are far better restaurants than this shit hole, instead i would highly recommend Paradise which is about 500m down Sandringham Road from Xotic, another reason is that Paradise has far better food and much better service than Xotic (Xotic has the worst service i've ever have ever experienced).  This is not a endorsement for paradise by the way, i just don't like Xotic. <br/><br/>P.s pay your debts
Srikanth Pochampally
Shit service shit food no value for money <br/>If your a sweet lover DONT TRY XOTIC WAST OF TIME May be the next door would be better option at lest received good customer service never coming back
Roxanne Sarkari
I'd recommend turning your establishment into self-service since I'd rather serve myself than have to deal with your "customer service". <br/><br/>Only giving this one star because it's the lowest possible available rating otherwise it would be a 0. <br/>The food is also extremely underwhelming and looked like it had been sitting out for days. <br/><br/>Wouldn't recommend this to anybody who likes good customer service or has taste buds.
S&G Take Auckland
Good selection of Mithai at this place. What you'd usually expect to find.<br/><br/>We ordered the ras malai today which were rather delicious. At $3 for 2, it's pretty good.<br/><br/>The girl serving us last night was really lovely so I have to give this place a better rating on that :)<br/><br/>Updated : came today for some pav baji for only $5 on a Sunday it's a steal!
Ankur Mishra
I don't get so much hate regarding this place. I find it very nice, the staff is not so welcoming, but all that can be ignored for the great variety of food and sweets. The taste is great compared to some of the well known "Indian" restaurants, and found it to be authentic. The presentation might be average, but the price for the food is very much justified. My favorite is the ras malai, pav bhaji, and any of thalis. The dosas are good and can do better.
Choudhary Viren
Suggest no one to go there. Food is rubbish at all . tried Pav Bhaji two times taste was rubbish and service was not good .... we are going two times there got same thing i never go there
Sapphire Crystal
I think all the reviews here speak alot about the restaurant itself.im not a big fan of indian sweets but I did visit this restaurant few times.the reviews are quite right about the customer service<br/>I'm not coming back and neither will these guys who rated it below 3.<br/>Goodluck.
Disha
I see a lot of angry reviews, honestly I never paid so much attention to service as it has always been a quick pick up only cause they have a terrible parking system. We have always picked up sweets for occasions and most of the time they have been pretty decent. It's disappointing NZ doesn't have a real sweet place which would be even half as good as India. We will be going for more pick ups due to lack of other options.
Andy Hollis
Crap food, and the staff are rude - stay away<br/><br/>Don't waste your money here, there are plenty better places to go, disappointment is the only thing you're gonna find here

Food tastes good but I am not how hygienic it is. Every time I eat from this restaurant I get a bloated stomach, may be because of soda they add to their restaurant. Plus they were in news for not paying their money to a contractor as a result of which the contractor dumped around 5 truck load of shit at the restaurant location.
Mail Box
Singh you should pay your bills and stop being such a scumbag. Other people need to make a living as well. You give Indians a bad name. You certainly are a lying deceptive person for ripping people off. You won't get away with that kind of nonsense in NZ. People will just not trust you.
Mike Johnson
Was served by a woman who didn't even put down her phone whilst I was ordering. Terrible customer service, followed by what I can only describe as mystery meat with water. Will not be going back again.
Rhys Jades
I would not recommend this place to anyone because the management here are nothing but lying, deceiving animals who have little to no customer service skills - if there was an option for a rate of 0 I would tick that box.
Jack Smith
Unbelievable Piss poor owners who can't pay their $88,000 unpaid bills to HT drainage Construction, <br/>I wouldn't be surprised they close their doors very soon
Nikhil Gujar
I would give this place a 0 if I could. The customer service no doubt is bad but the food is not even worth feeding to dogs. Also the owners wife who is always there needs to take some smiling classes or something cos by looking at her face it seems like she is always angry even when serving customers like smile ffs woman. Looking at her face puts you off from even going there. I do not recommend this place to anyone ever
Terry Chandler
Sorry but the disappointing service and attitude I experienced was well below acceptable and I wont be coming back, working in customer service has taught me the value of customer service required by today's standards, and you clearly do not meet that. hopefully you will raise the bar and improve.
Gade121
Horrible customer service, can't get any worse. The staff need to be trained with at least basic customer service skills. Food is below par.<br/>Will never visit again.
Radhey Devendran
Visited the restaurant twice. Very unpleasant experience and the taste of the food is highly terrible! The staffs weren't attentive. We ordered a Dahi poori and one plate of Idly sambar. The Dahi poori was ready to be served and was kept to be served by the staffs. But those ladies near the counter were busy chit chatting and after 15 mins they bring that plate to us! Disgusting service and the taste of the Dahi poori was just literal rubbish with no proper stuffing. Will never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone in future!
Ritu Sharma
Very disappointing  food, wait time and service. Staff is painfully slow and extremely rude. They should probably close this shitty place and should stop calling it exotic coz there is nothing exotic abt it. After waiting for abt 45 mins, we were told that the item we ordered is not available and the refund again took 15 more minutes and the lady on the counter (Gurpreet) was over the top rude.
Param Singh Nurowal
It's nice place for quick food. I had been there many time and all the times everything was alright. One thing i would to mention that though their all option on menu are good But still their sweets are much better as compare to other restaurants.
Subbu
Their week day specials are good value for money. However, some of their chat items didn't live up to my expectations. <br/><br/>I always loved their Indian sweets on offer. Try their Punjabi thali which is very good :)
Soni.jay231287
I have very poor experience with this restaurant ever i have been there just before one week ago. Actually me and my wife very die hearth fan if their" Samosa".we have no complain regarding this dish but we order panjabi Thali as well as and we had a very bed experience ever ,no taste in any curry except" alu mater". Staff is ok just not happy with thali otherwise we will come again just for only "samosa" . We love this plate only....
I'm Hungry
I like exotic because you have various options here. They offer a wide range of vegetarian indian cuisine - breakfast, snaks, chat, sweets, lunch/dinner meals. Their food taste and quality is decent (nothing very great) but you will always find space here even on crowded weekends. Open till late so I go here even at 9:30 for just a bhelpuri or sweets. I have had lots here - parathas, dosa, chats, sweets, thalis. I like the options in thali's that you can choose 2/3/4 curries also like the samosa chat, rest is pretty average.
Daniel Brown
Call this a restaurant?  This is a rubbish place, the service is crap and the food is disgusting. I will never again come to eat here after the way i was treated. The service i received from the man behind the counter was disrespectful.
Prashant Dholakiya
So back forward service from staff ...no manners they talking in phone while we standing for orders or no rePonce for water .. When we asking for water they shows us in bad attitude ..so disappointed ..never gonna be come back ...
Nikhil Kolte
Staff needs to learn counting.<br/><br/>Very Disappointing from Xotic twice now. Ordered 10 pieces of rasmalai with their girl staff - Jasmeet. Very fast and confidently she started putting pieces in take away container. As we saw she started putting broken pieces we queried the same. She confidently with shameless smile replied I already put 10 full pieces in it plus whatever broken given is complimentary. Again while paying at counter I asked if she is sure it is 10 pieces and received back same affirmative dishonest answer. Returned home to see only 7 pieces in container box with 1 additional broken piece. Called back xotic and shamelessly we were asked to bring back the take away container to their shop for them to double check. We went back and this time the other gentleman handled situation calmly. This lady was not even ready to come face us. She really needs some customer service training and importantly to learn to count and to be honest in her job. She never even apologized us once. If ever go to this place please stay away from this girl server to avoid bad experience.
Khyati Vyas
The owner needs a psychiatrist, we bought some snacks from them, they were so stale and smelly. This is not for the first time, we had bought some sweets some time ago but the same story. If you complain , the owner starts fighting with you. This lady is a psycho..I wondr do they even read these comments here...
Kathie Tyndall
We attended an Indian wedding and were given a beautiful box of Indian sweets from Xotic.  My husband and I thought we would open them the other night and everyone of them were mouldy and fur growing on them.  The families would have spent a lot of money on these sweets for all their 100's of guests I don't have the heart to tell them but Xotic Sweets this box had you name on it not great advertising for your shop.
Vineeta Jakhi Kandari
Poor customer service 10%extra on the item on public holidays when I just said rediculous and the owner started misbehaving and I walked out when my father finished with the purchase she said get out now. Very bad lady I heard her several times dealing with the customers like this.even the staff is not do good .I dont like their food much but the laddu's I love..but now will never go to her shop as she insulted my father. .worst customer service by the owner..poor
Mahesh Bhardwaj
The service is poor but great value for money specially their daily specials. It's self serve and the staff is not customer friendly most times. The owner is a nice person and great service when she is around. <br/>Good dosa for $6.00 on Sundays and Thali on Tuesday for $6.00 worth the money.
Poor customer service. As it was on quite a convenient place Me and my family went to try Indian food. Turn out to be the worst place I have ever been. The food is quite bad and the customer service is exceptionally bad . Will not ever go.
Rahul Kumar Kanemany
Greatly disappointed by this place and will never ever visit this for sure. Food is just Okay but the service is real pain, I was here on 26/12/2015 which was kind of holiday and every food business is very ready for a busy day but here things are quite different. 3 staff members, 2 girls and a guy they were so unwelcoming and careless, even they were not attending the customers properly. Parking is a trouble here. service can be rated as low as zero or even minus rated. food is just okay 3 out of 10. They did not take the pain to provide A/C for the  customers when asked, the staff rudely answered "NO A/C". I really pity the owner of this place. He should rethink on his staff and give them proper training in attending the customer. I remember once it was a good restaurant and my experience with them since last three visits was being dropped and this time they have really tested  my patience. i wouldn't recommend to visit this place  if you are looking for a good experience.

Eat here only if you must. The Indian sweets look pretty stale so didn't bother buying any. I tried the chole bhature and the dosa. The chole was had too much liquid making it almost chole curry. The dosa was good. It was crisp. But both food items were oily which is putting off.
Aabhas Dole
This place has two sides to it. <br/><br/>1) Where you get amazing Indian traditional sweets which brings back all the memories and represents the uniqueness of Indian food.<br/><br/>2) The western Indian food that you get here. ( pav bhajis, chole bhature's etc. )<br/><br/>The sweets are good but the food you get here is seriously disappointing. Yesterday we got take aways and everything was overly oily.
Stango
Not a fan of the sweets sold here at all. They taste drier/older/staler than the sweets on offer at the establishment around the corner... The range of sweets here is not as varied and the flavours can be described as average at best. I haven't had the chance to have a meal here; I feel like the staff are very unwelcoming and made me feel out of place every time I have visited to look for sweets. Parking is troublesome as there are only a handful of spaces and the restaurant is located at a busy corner with no roadside spaces. Unlikely to visit Xotic Sweets & Snacks in the future over their main competitor next door.

Bad Customer Service. I wish I could rate 0 for the service they provided. We went to buy some sweets for Diwali and were served on the counter by a person name Jasmeet. She was really rude and looked so frustrated being at the counter. If you don't like working there, why don't you just leave. You can't raise your voice and talk to customer's. I hope I don't see her there next time if I ever go there.

Could have been great like they are improving their decor but should have focus on quality of food then may be they transform their grade "B" to "A" thats more important. Customer service, one of the worst experience.<br/><br/>"Either wait for improvement or go and get wasted, choice is yours"
Kishore Mitra
Could have been great but completely wasted it's potential in my opinion. The food is just touching ordinary and the service & presentation is truly ordinary. Takes a good while to serve too. Unless you are really hungry and for some reason really need to go to Xotic, I suggest you go else where. There are many options in the area.

This place has great potential to be a good outlet for Indian snacks and sweets. The food needs to be consistently good and the ambience needs immediate attention. The owner also needs to immediately hire a soft skills trainer to train their staff.

Walked in on a rainy day to have some chhole bhature, paratha, fresh lime soda and mango lassi. Excellent cholle bhature. However, wonder if there's any place in Auckland that sells the version of masala popular in Nathu sweets, or Karol Bagh in Delhi. No complaints about the paratha either. The fresh lime soda had crushed black pepper. That was surprisingly different from the traditional roasted jeera spice mix. Order took a tad bit longer than expected, considering the restaurant was nearly empty when we ordered. Overall, this was a second visit and a satisfying experience. Way to go!

Horrible service, horrible food....food looks like it was 3-4 days old... asked if i could taste the sweets..lady said..we dont give sweets for tasting..later got 1 inch piece of sweet from somewhere..which tasted like moldy and had to spit.....I told her its good that u dont give for tasting as..if ur customers taste this..they won't ever BUY....wish this website had 0 rating...the 5 star reviews here are probably by the owners.....DONT GO THERE

Not a big fan of their standard food, but I have to say I do love the samosas. Best I have tried by far, it would be better if they were fried on order. I normally only just get the samosas and order Indian food elsewhere.

I went here to eat yesterday with my boyfriend. I ordered a plate of pav bhaji and he ordered a standard thali. The food was good but as we continued eating, I found hair in one of the buns. I showed it to the girl at the counter and she replaced it immediately. A while later, my boyfriend found hair in one of the curries in his thali. However, we didn't complain about it. After we were finished, I ordered a rabri falooda for us to share. We started eating it and while eating, I was mixing it up and found another hair in it. This time I'd had enough. There was another girl at the counter this time and I complained to her about it. She was quite rude in her approach suggesting I put hair in the food. Why on earth would I do that??? Anyway I really hope this outlet steps up their game. The last time I visited this place to eat was around 2 years ago and the food reminded me so much of home. Hopefully it doesn't lose its charm.

Stopped there accidentally with my Pakistani friend.not a huge fan of Indian food or sweets.but that doesn't explain my rating the food may have been nice...if not the service .it was absolutely shocking to say at least .my friend felt embarrassed to recommend that place after we left.we waited for about 10 minutes to get something that was all ready.it doesn't take much time to pick the stuff from the shelve does it?i m surprised this place exists.
John Roti
I love Xotic because its Rotis are so tasty, much enjoyment out of this particular venue. Sandringham= nice location for skyping and enjoying virtual curry with loved ones.

Horrible service this morning. Went in after 9. Nothing was ready, even though they open at 7:30. The lady at the counter was clearly sleepy, looked as if she'd just woken up and had come straight from bed to behind the counter. She was disinterested and clearly not ready to serve customers. She's discussing with the cook (some bhayaaji who clearly didn't sound pleased that he'd have to start cooking so early in the morning, even though they're advertised as open for business). The lady and bhayaaji are talking about me while I an standing right there!!!!! Seriously man. I ask her for 6 laddoos. She stuffs 5 laddoos into a small box and realises that she cannot fit the sixth one into the box. So she asks me if I am fine with 5 laddoos or do I still need 6!!!!!! I say 5 is enough. Once my order is ready, she leaves it at the counter and walks away. Whatever happened to good old fashioned customer service. To top it all, I come home and serve the idli and chatni to my daughter and she spits out the first bite that she puts into her mouth. The chatni was spoilt!!!!!<br/><br/>Last time to Exotic ever. I agree with most of the comments made by other people. Their service is absolutely pathetic, right from the lady boss to the ladies at the counter and to the cooks. I also notice that not once has the owner bothered to reply to any of the reviews.

Xotic is one of the best Indian eateries to go with friend and family.<br/>Abundance of space with varieties of food, sweets and chats. <br/>Recommend to have Paranthas (especially Gobi paratha).<br/><br/>Overall good with reasonable price.

Worst place ever... Don't ever go to Xotic Sweet and Snacks. It's so expensive for bad food I rather die of hunger than eat at Xotic ever again! They have Chilly Veg on the menu but the person taking order says they don't serve that dish!! So why the hell is it on your menu.. None of the dishes come with rice so you pay $9 for curry no rice or anything just curry!!! I can't believe this place is still operating... Giving a bad name to other Indian food places.

i wanted to go to paradise restaurent, but i dont know why i changed my mind and went to exotic.but was upset the whole day for making that decision. <br/>i wanted to give no star.infact negetive star. <br/>i ordered for veg manchuria, raj kachori, bhel puri, idli and chilli panner<br/>veg manchuria-was pathetic and gave me 6 small pieces for 9 dollars.<br/>chilly panner was even more worse. they were rock hard, uncooked.i returned it back saying it was not good.<br/>after 5 min they served once again.it was the same rock hard panner, no changed. got wexed of their food.<br/>raj kachori-i think they dont know whats that item.they gave me puri. there is hell lot difference between kachori n puri.<br/>idli-i dont have any words to describe how terrible it was.<br/>bhel puri was an other nonsense. <br/>so ultimately, its worth of nothing. waste of money time and energy.<br/>instead people like me, will be upset for rest of the day.<br/>donot recomend at all.plz do not go.<br/>i dont know why such restaurents still exist.<br/>thanx

I'm a food fanatic... keep trying at different places at all times. Before making a step to Xotic, i read the reviews at Menu Mania, and to my surprise... they weren't incorrect !<br/><br/>I ordered a Paneer curry in my meal... was nice to taste... but the Paneer blocks... as hard as a rock :0<br/><br/>Fried rice were nice as well as the chaat. Average to taste. But not impressive !<br/><br/>And the customer service definitely needs some attention. The girls working as the staff were pleasant to talk to. But when it came to pay the bill... OMG... the owner had a frowning face. She definitely needs some work done on her face to get a smile. I made an attempt to make her smile on purpose... but as expected... no reaction :(

I am a food lover and I been to this restaurant heaps of times.<br/>I like their food but I really hate their customer service by the manager or owner of this restaurant.<br/>She is such an arrogant lady, she doesn't have any sense how to talk to a customer, she does not want to take any kind of responsibility if any customer got any complaint about her restaurant or service or food or anything.<br/>She needs to change her attitude and should take admission to some customer service classes.<br/>I don't like to go there any more because of her!

My wife went to the Laundry run by these people couple of weeks ago, put the clothes for washing and gave extra money to the staff so that they will dry it and keep it until we pick it up. We advised that we had to go to Hamilton so would be coming in late to pick it, I went to pick it up and the staff gave me only one bag, I took it home and my wife said there were 2 bags, my wife went back and they said someone else might have taken it accidentally and will return it (When I went to pick it up they did not even have a label on that and was asking me whether it was mine). We waited for a week and no response from these people. Called up and they said they don’t have it yet. <br/><br/>My wife spoke to the owner and she was not ready to take responsibility and was blaming the staff. And she can’t speak English well and when she didn't have anything to say she hung up on my wife and afterwards a staff called in and apologised, my wife told her we don’t want to speak to her and want to speak to the owner. She never called back, so I and my wife went to see her last evening and she was saying that I did not ask the staff for clothes and jut picked it up and went which is a lie. So we asked her to show the CCTV footage because I had spoken to a staff and she only gave me the clothes. And now she started being rude and says she can’t do anything. She started arguing and says it’s not her problem, we told her it’s her problem and now she is saying they don’t take responsibility of the clothes and it’s the customer’s responsibility, when there is a notice which clearly says they take responsibility if handed in to the staff and staff is paid which we did.<br/><br/>Now that she said she won’t do anything about it, we walked out and went to the Laundromat and took pictures of the notice she had on the wall. She then rushed in and started yelling, I trespass you, I trespass you, go out. So sad she can’t even speak English, a girl in the laundry was laughing her heart out; even though I was unhappy I too couldn't help laughing. We went out to the car park to go and she rushed out and she started shouting, we said we will do a case against you and she says I have lawyers so don’t care, she was acting cheap and was abusive and shouting, I told her, look there are customer s in your business and you are the owner so behave. She then banged the door at us and rushed to the kitchen, don’t know whether she realized that there are customers then or she went out to take the chef’s knife. We didn't take a chance, took our car and left.<br/><br/>Please don't go to this place they are big time thieves and cheepos, if this is how they sort out a customer's issue, don't trust the food they serve. Check out the reviews below you would know.<br/><br/>"I trespass you, I trespass you, had a good laugh anyways."

I went there last Saturday as I was having my day off and was looking for something great Indian snacks. I ordered papri chat which in turn delivered as bhalle papri and the excuse was both are the same dish and prepared by same ingredients. At that time I looked at myself as the most stupid person in the world.<br/>Then I bought motichoor laddoo (1 kg) as it was advertised as Ghee made but it was not, it was made of Canola oil as it was stinking.<br/>I will not recommend anyone for this.

My family went after years as we were in a hurry and this restaurant was close by. We ordered butter paneer and it tasted as if the curry was just tomato soup sachet and paneer. It is one of the worst curries ive ever had. We asked the employee and she said that their normal chef wasn't in town. What an excuse for bad food.

Hi,<br/> We came in New Zealand few months before. Being an indian, we started searching some good restaurants in our locality and we searched on internet and found couple of indian resturants. Xotic was one among them. We read all the reviews written by the customers about it. We decided to visit there once just to verify whether it is really so bad. When we visited there once we realized that everything written was so true. There service was so poor that we decided not to visit there again. Staff specially the lady manager was so rude and lazy. Instead of greeting the customers with a pleasent smile she was looking so rudely and she was busy in talking with a boy. She had no interest in the customers at all. We visited there couple of times but everything remained the same so we decided not to go there anymore. <br/><br/>I would really like to make a request to the owner of the restaurant to train the staff specially the lady manager or recruit new one if you would not really like to loose your regular customers.
Kanhaiyasharma
Well, I am not happy with the service and items. An incident to cite.<br/>Jalebi is one of my favorite and I love it when served hot. We planned to eat this sweet on the new year day 2012 and our celebration turned sour. First I paid 15% extra as surcharge, and the stuff was cooked in some low grade oil, or it was stale.<br/>Very bad taste. The samosa was also of low taste. In general not happy and will not recommend my close friends and well wishers.

First time I visited the Mt. Albert branch I walked out without buying anything after I was ignored and two Indian customers served before me although I was there first. We live close by and since then (about a year ago) my partner occasionally pops in to buy snacks (I refused to enter) and found it ok but the staff generally unhelpful and rude.<br/>A few months ago we decided to give it another go and went for a meal. Since then we have been back a few times, food ranges from average to pretty dam tasty but the women behind the counter are always rude (slopping the food carelessly on to the tray seems a speciality) and the toilets could be cleaner and sometimes you don't even get what you ordered and paid for but it's cheap and tasty when you finally get there.<br/>We have been to the Kelston branch where the staff were lovely and the food as tasty.<br/>If you don't care about the way the staff act and you want something cheap and quick then eat at the Mt Albert branch by all means but there are so many Indian restaurants in Sandringham why not just go there. I have been to India on holiday and eaten in many Indian restaurant and have never experienced such rude service so I don't think it has anything to do with them being Indian, they are just dicks!
Yuki
I moved down to the Mt Albert recently and was shocked by their services when we visited.<br/><br/>We went to the Mt Albert branch a couple of times and yes the food was ok but the service was not great at all.It seems they helped Indians customers but not the other nationalities.<br/><br/>Today I went to the Mt Albert laundromat which is owned by them and when I overpaid because of their confusing explanation, they did not only refund but blamed me for the misunderstanding!!<br/><br/>Manager was so unfriendly and did not know what her job was. There are lots of bad reviews here and I really have to agree to them.<br/><br/>I have lots of nice Indian friends and I am really afraid this shop may compromise the evaluation of Indian.

Before I start I have to say the food tastes good and is at a reasonable price (although I've noticed lately sometimes the curry portions are a little small). HOWEVER as a regular customer I have sometimes felt that the level or order of service depends on your race. I realise this is an Indian Cafe with what appears to be Indian staff who deal predominantly to Indian customers however I think you are missing out on a bit of clientelle i.e. those of us who are NOT Indian. I often go in with a friend who is Indian and we are happy with the level of service and portioning. When I go in by myself I feel like I am being ignored. The staff are not friendly at all and are often quite rude. Tonight left me severely unimpressed to the point I do not think I will go back and will definitely not recommend to others (the opposite in fact). I walked in and waited for someone to approach me, a girl who was just finishing up with a customer said hello and I said hi can I have two of a can of drink. I KNOW she heard me and I waited for her to finish the transaction. She walked off to the kitchen and handed the person in there a slip then she came back and proceeded to ask another customer what they wanted (someone that had walked in AFTER me). I'm sorry I like your food but I'm not sure that I could think of anywhere where I've seen such horrible customer service.
Zuber Mohammed
First of all, for anyone that thinks that the staff @ Xotic in Mt Albert are 'racist' and only give good service to Indians... you are WRONG.<br/><br/>They give bad service to everyone.<br/><br/>I went there a couple of months ago and ordered just one aloo paratha. I was told to wait '5-7mins' so I waited,... And waited for 15mins. Then I went back to the counter and asked 'where is the food I ordered' so the girl who was serving me went in the kitchen, came back to the counter and started serving other customers.<br/><br/>I asked her again 'excuse me, I've been here 20 mins now..' to which she replied 'do you want a refund?'<br/><br/>I asked her why she is offering me a refund, her reply really does take the cake.<br/><br/>They gave my meal away to someone that came in 10 mins after me.<br/><br/>And so another 10 mins later I got my one aloo paratha.<br/><br/>30 mins it took them to makem something that should have taken 5 mins. <br/><br/>I received no apoligies, no 'thanks for waiting' .<br/><br/>And this other time I went there, I waited for service for 5 mins. And no, they were not busy, their staff were too busy talking to each other. And then an old punjabi man walked in and 2 of the girls went running to the counter to serve him. That really pissed me off, as i had said 'excuse me' a couple of times and was told to wait while they carried on chatting, and the guy who walked in after me got premium service. That's when I hit the roof And said a couple of colorful words to her in hindi which made her day...<br/><br/>Anyway, if you haven't been to Xotic, then don't go.
Nadia
I like the Xotic lady owner- shes very lovely to me whenever I come in, and thats right she does have a lovely smile. I agree she has had some VERY bad staff but I know she has dealt with the most part of that issue as I dont see these people anymore; shes a very nice lady and I wish her all the best. I know she works very hard and is 99% of the time working at the venue. I hope everyone who has had a bad experience gives them another chance...everybody makes mistakes and maybe it was just one of those days. vegetarian is cheap and cheerful and healthy! Try pau bhaji and some rasgulla to finish- that is my favourite and sure to please :-).
Angel
poor customer service and rotis missing in thali, which was a takeaway. they asked us to come back n pik our roti again..who has time n petrol to drive once again from north shore...xotic staff have no telefone manners at all....their service sucks...

I went to their Mt Albert Branch last night. Lady Owner at the counter was charming and had a beutiful smile. service was great, she even gave me a sample of sweet before i made my purchase. Excellent!!!

IF YOU WANT BAD SERVICE PLEASE GO TO XOTIC RESTAURANT IN MT ALBERT AND ALSO BE SURE TO SPARE SOME TIME TO BE SERVED!!!<br/><br/>I have been into the store a few times and the service is really really bad. I have worked in restaurants for a long time and I never seen bad service. You wait to be served and they just don't care at all. The owner of the store doesn't care also and just wondering if she even care about her business and staff need proper training. I'm kiwi/Indian myself and every Indian staff member doesn't even care.

There should be a Star for "extremely poor"<br/><br/>Dropped by a mth ago to buy gulab juman &amp; decided to try a Dosa meal. I'm amazed that this Food venue even has managed to get a Hygiene rating frm Akld City Council!<br/>Food droppings were on several tables, couldn't work out why there was a high stench of urinated smell! Until we realized it wasn't urine, but the dirty dish-cloth used to wipe down tables! The staff were more interested in watching the Indian tube rather then cleaning the mess of the floors or sweeping the floors. <br/><br/>Tacky yellow plates were piled up in the same trolley as cleaning fluids etc.<br/><br/>The Sweets sliding doors were open and flies were helping themselves to tasty morsels. gross!<br/><br/>What is the point of wearing gloves? to show the public - they practice so-called hygiene standards, when in reality its the total opposite..<br/><br/>A lesson to be learnt, will not be returning!
Sir
most of the time the lady owner gives very rude looks, I felt like she thought we were at the wrong place. she should know we customers come to your place all the way ignoring many restaurants on the way, to give u business. If we don't come u will be in big trouble. Bikanare Wala is much more organised then exotic. <br/><br/>U guys should learn to greet the customers. customers just expect a smile. <br/><br/>Food is not bad, price is okay.
Ritchie Sims
Maybe you whingers are talking about another branch, I think there are several, but in my opinion the Mt Albert one at least is tops! A great vege thali or a masala dosa or channa batura for $7, a samosa chat for $5, great food at unbelievable prices. I wish they had kept the old stainless steel plates, the new yellow plastic ones are tacky. The staff are friendly and I've eaten there perhaps thirty times with no digestive ill-effects ever so obviously no hygiene issues either. Keep it up Xotic!
Renee
I suggest if you dont like the decor and the lady in charge, walk out and dont sit there and grumble. She has other customers to service and you have other joints to eat at.
Raja
Places like this need to be shutdown temporarily by the council while ALL staff are put through mandatory training in EVERY aspect of running a food retailing outlet!!!<br/><br/>A pity the minimum score on this site is 1 star - they deserve none until they completely sort themselves out and start putting more effort into service, hygeine, quality - all of these things are sorely lacking! Especially the service! You definitely feel like you are just a source of income to them and nothing else, nobody treats you well or gets meals out timely or in correct order. To call this place a restaurant is a complete JOKE! It should be called a ZOO or a CIRCUS - albeit a very, very poorly run one! Just look at all the other negative comments - these are from REAL customers! The very few positive ones will be from family no doubt...
Findo
very very bad service and pathetic food, the lady owner is so rude, they are greedy owners, dunno y people are going there, i wont ever go there again, I have had Indian food before, this was the worst one and the people dont even care about it.

We just visited the Botany branch for dinner tonight. I took an overseas guest there for dinner. The entree came after one and half hours, the chutney for the entree came 15Min's after the entree, the banquet for two people came after 2hrs and the rest of the meals ordered by our other two guests never arrived. We had a small baby who was agitated and wanted to sleep. We had planned to spend only 1.5hrs in this place. Between the four of us, 2 people ate and the other two weren't served since the staff didn't want us to share the banquet for two. So they just didn't bring the meals for the other two.Upon being asked, they confirmed that they were waiting for the two people to finish eating the banquet before bringing the meals for my son and brother in law. my husband and I ate, while they sat. How pathetic is that. We got frustrated of waiting and after 2.5hrs, requested them to pack the rest of the food as takeaway for us to take. I am very disappointed with their pathetic service and would never recommend anybody to go to the Botany Xotic again. The staff are ignorant, obnoxious and cant be bothered with customer service. While we sat there waiting for the food, all the staff were lined up watching the Hindi musical on the TV which is in the restaurant for customers. This bad experience has put me off for life and made me so frustrated that I searched for the website to express my dissappointment.

Yea the comments above re right, have complained about this resturant to the city council as well, un hygenic and spoiling the name of india as well, the owner (the lady) is too greedy and rude
Karen
We stopped as Xotic for a late afternoon snack. About 90% of the tables were dirty and there was food on the floor. The waitress was surly and more interested in her book than cleaning or attending to customers. There was no excuse for the lack of cleanliness as there were only 4 customers. At the till when we went to pay she couldn't even be bothered to clear the EFTPOS receipts off the counter - it was a mess. The food apart from the actual dosa itself most definitely was not as fresh as it could have been. We will not be returning.
Pinky
I wouldnt even give this resturant 1 star. a family member fell down in thier botany downs branch and staff didnt even assist! The fall was their fault because they had mopped the floors and didnt put up a : wet floor " sign. No apology from staff or owner , staff continued to servce customers without any consideration.<br/><br/>i dont know about their food but after witnessing this i doubt anyone will want to give business to this pathetic establishment

We've been to the Mt Albert restaurant several times for the buffet at weekends and once for a normal meal. The food is fantastic. During the buffet the choice of curries is very good, along with sweets, fruit, rice and unlimited nann and paratha. I'm not a vegetarian but always look forward to eating here. On the downside, the bright yellow plates have a school canteen look about them and some of the staff do need to look a little more enthusiastic. But aside from those minor points, for price v. qualiity, this place is very good.
DILAAWAR SINGH
most pathatic service.unhygenic.the lady who may probably be the owner pokes her finger in her nose ,rubs on hr hands and then serves the clients with the same dirty hands.quality of fodd has gone from bad to worse since the refurbish.one has to stand in q for ages before getting any respone.the restaurant next door also part of th same group is in a dingy littl place which takes one to an underground joint in peshawar stret in pakistan.stricktly speaking this should get an f certificate

I've been eating vegetarian Indian food for almost 25 years, and coming to Xotic fortnightly for about six. I always found the uber-casual 'service', and blaring Bollywood videos somewhat refreshing - quaint, even. The decor may have undergone a radical transformation, but the food's as good as it's ever been, and inexpensive. Perhaps I am easily pleased, or it may be that I'm not burdened with the same bourgeois conceits as some of the other reviewers on this site. That said, I agree: it only takes one mediocre dining experience to create an irreversibly bad impression. Happily, that's not my experience of Xotic - for me, this place rocks.
Ruveni Ratnayake
Dosa was very bland no taste.<br/>Idly was so small and heavy.<br/>Some times when you eat Indian food you need to wash your fingers .<br/>No hand washing basin, had to go to the toilet. &amp; that's not nice.<br/>Price was OK.
Steve
Average quality, long wait times, and clumsy service
Sajal
The food was good however the portion would not even be enough for a small child to be satified. The service was soooo slow and we went there at 5pm to avoid the rush. hate to think what it is like after six...I'm sure you would be waiting till 8pm for your food to arrive.<br/>As for the loyalty club they offer...the staff can't even explain that properly in english! Good luck you won't see me there again.

I made the mistake of going to this restaurant a second time, the first time I walked out having waited an hour for he supposed buffet to start an hour late! I went back bcos of the refurbishment and thought I would give them a chance. This place is run by muppets ! no one knows how to operate a business. Our meal was slow, and then when we took take out, they gave us (after an hours wait) the completely wrong dish!! Gordan Ramsey would not have enough swear words to describe this place. PLEASE let me save you the time and money - don't bother.
Sam Masker
This place has become excellent now!! we avoided it in the future due to the ambience, hygiene etc. But now, I would recommend this place to anyone who likes vegetarian Indian food.<br/>In fact they have a special cuisine called"indian chinese",truly a blend of both tastes.
Nom Nom Panda
This is a basic self-service Indian restaurant. You go up to the cashier to order, and when your meal is ready, they call out and you pick up your yellow plastic tray from the pick-up area. Don't forget to collect your cutlery and serviettes at the same time, unless you want to get up again!<br/><br/>The milky cardamom tea was sweet and fragrant, but the masala dosa I ordered was not very flavourful.<br/><br/>I haven't tried their sweets, but I imagine they are good as there were customers milling around for a long time making up their minds.
Priyanka
Xotic was really popular when I was a kid because the food there was finger licking but as years go by. Their food loses the special taste. I remember going there years ago and it was crowed which gave a good impression but now I went there to have my favourite sweet rasmalai the restaurant seems so empty. When went there recently , I had the rasmalai it didn't quite taste the same so I stopped going there. But their ladoos is good and the snacks they sell in boxes is great so I would buy it sometimes. I don't know but this is from my point of view :)
