The food is taste good at an okay price and a nice opportunity to try Taiwanese cuisine. It is somewhat self service so you will need to get your own cutlery and water/tea.

They have improved alot since our last visit! Shop is tidy with new tables and seats. The manager and staff are very friendly and the quality of food has been improved alot too! It will be my favourite Taiwanese restaurant again if they maintain their standards!

Ordered takeaway tonight. Decent portions except the 椒鹽雞 which was a little smaller. The sides have a nice variety and tasted yummy. Could have been better if they weren't all spicy though. Milk tea was a large size and taste good. Meals were approved by my 2 toddlers as well :)

I remember this being one of the starting resturants in the now blooming district of eatery. After coming back to Auckland, I decided to try out one of my school days gotos. The porkcutlet was very crispy and milk tea was a good choice to complement the dryness from the fried food.

I had visited a couple of times before and not too impressed with the food. My daughter wanted to visit so I came along. Ordered a fried chicken noodle dish. I didn’t like it cos it was sweet and just full of noddles with a few bite sized chicken pieces. My daughter thought the ginger duck was very boney. The fried buns were nice. Beef soup was ok. The fish on rice was in fact quite nice. The restaurant has a big menu so if you know what to order, it may be a 4 star from you. Ours were very average and we didn’t eat up all the noodles and chicken on rice (we ordered 5 or 6 dishes and two drinks). Not sure I want to come back.

Fantastic Taiwanese food~ This is my second time visiting My Kitchen, this time I have ordered a Fried Chicken Filet On Rice ($13.5) as my lunch. The Chicken Filet is large and very crispy!!❤️ I like their side dishes, and it’s different from the last time. Also their fruit, I had orange last time and kiwi fruit this time hahaha. I also observed that they offer various vegetarian choices.🥦

The staff are overall pleasant. The food is your basic Taiwanese dishes. There are some quiet superstars in their menu, such as the beef noodles, and their salt and pepper chicken on rice. However I enjoy the fact that they change out their side dishes every so often - some of which are really delicious and others could do with more seasoning.

I've loved most of the food I've tried here. My go-to favourite used to be the pork mince noodle soup but I feel that it's gotten more and more bland over the years. I highly recommend their spicy wontons, beef noodle soup, beef tripe and their rice dishes. The rice dishes come with many different components (fruit, soup, side dish) and are great value for money. Drinks are average.

We ordered several rice main dishes (with beef, pork belly) and a soy bean paste noodles (did not enjoy) and a variation of a french toast. Cups and utensils and water are help yourself, so not much customer service here. Food and portions is very average.

My partner usually buys his milk tea from this place because it was at a good price and they make their milk tea like any other place. The size is also big so you get the value of your money. I tried their one time when I was in the area. I got the three cups chicken and I liked it. Will definitely try their other dishes as well.

We went with friend and tried their crispy chicken rice combo. Chicken was crispy and juice. Honey chicken was ok. They recommended a pork dish which was very tasty and had few big pieces of meat. I am a beef noodle fan so it’s a must eat dish when I go to a Taiwanese cafe but the fat of the brisket made the dish became too oily so we didn’t touch the soup. My guests loved the bubble tea.

The staff was friendly. Nice Taiwanese food. Food was served quickly. Just little bit dusty around where we sit. The drink was good and with reasonable price. Recommended.

We ordered the honey chicken, sweet and sour pork, and braised pork belly, all on rice. What you get is a real bargain for $13.50 per set, and what I really appreciate is how they use short grain rice instead of long grain which is what restaurants will usually opt for. The side dishes that we got on the day was salted peanuts, tomato and egg, wood ear mushrooms with white radish, egg drop soup, and a piece of fruit. The type of side dishes do change everyday, and go very well with your main dish. Service was good, food came out at a decent time. Restaurant is clean. Only reason why I didnt give 5 stars is because the staff door to the kitchen is very squeaky and the staff opens and closes the door often and very loudly. A minor issue but was annoying when you're eating while squeaking and slamming sounds go on in the background. It's a great place to eat with friends or just by yourself. Keep in mind you cant eat in (only takeaways) from around 8pm onwards.

Favourite lunch place after church, the food here is to die for. A wide selection of food on the menu is offered, I've been eating here for the last 4 years and there are still things I have yet to try! Would highly recommend (though I would recommend checking if your order is cooking cause they tend to forget it once or twice a year)

Just went yesterday, my beef noodle soup was too oily, the noodles with soybean paste was over cooked, disappointed meal. As a Taiwanese in Auckland I feel you can do better!

We have been here several times and the food is great. Pretty realistic Taiwanese food, not too westernised and great friendly service. Awesome prices, the pork trotters were lovely, the dumplings are awesome and the bubble tea fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back.

Nice food and service, came here few times and really like their food. Waiting time can be long if they gets busy. Milk tea also taste good... but you have to get spoon and folk yourself is a bit annoying

We ordered spring onion pancake with egg, spicy wonton in soup and a spicy chicken with rice. All of the dishes have good flavours except that they are swimming in oil!! I understand that the dishes are supposed to be mala (abit szechuan style), I find they could stir fry the chicken rather than deep fried the chicken. The whole meal was very heavy. Wouldn't return on purpose but if I were to crave for taiwanese food, I wouldn't mind giving them another chance. But next time ill probably order noodle dish or sthg that's not deep fried.

Not sure why there's so many bad reviews for this place. Sure, they're not the most exciting place but we've consistently enjoyed the food here. The service is okay (as expected for cheap Asian restaurants), and their ambience and cleanliness had been one of the downsides but they've recently redecorated/ furnished the place and it looks so much better. They're always packed on Saturday nights so if you don't go reasonably early you might not get a seat. We most recently went as a group of 6 and everyone really enjoyed their dishes except for the side soup, which was too sweet and pretty flavourless. Their drinks and side dishes are always great too and we always leave super full and satisfied.
