The food was good. I don’t know a great deal about Mexican. I was hoping it would be spicier. Place was empty for 12.30 on a Saturday. Few more people came in after we ordered. Having never been here and expecting to know what to order was a bit annoying. They didn’t communicate very well. All in all it was a good experience.

Amazing service, the staff was kind enough to show and explain how the food was prepared. The store was well kept, but I wasn't able to fully enjoy my meal due to the audience of flies everywhere in the restaurant. The quesadilla and salsa was great, although the portion size of nacho chips were smaller than what I had expected.

We are huge taco/mexican foodies. Today we chose the Bandito $19 (ish) and a chicken (hard/corn)Taco (1 spicy, 1 Mild) $7 each. The Badito had a generous portion of beef barbaco with an extra side of about 12 corn chips on the side. With the fresh salad, yum. And the 2 warm hard shell chicken tacos, yum. The spicy one is very spicy if you're not really a 'heat' person. If you are, it's like a mild spicy. That came with an extra side about 5 corn chips. Service was good. Good value for money. Cute little Mexican vibe restaurant. Overall was a good experience, would recommend to others.

Food is great and staff are helpful. We usually go there and toilet is always clean . The tables are being cleaned up quickly after the costumer left. Price is also reasonable

Mexicali Fresh is probably one of the best chains for Mexican food in New Zealand. I'm consistently impressed with the quality of the food and the prices are pretty decent. The ambience of this particular restaurant is really nice. The portions are quite large as well - I had a mini Macho Burrito and that was probably more food than I needed. The regular size must be massive.

From the moment we parked... the restaurant was eye catching due to the funky paint colours chosen on the exterior. We walked in, were greeted with 3 friendly faces ready to assist and serve us. The interior of the restaurant is just as welcoming with a mix match decor done very tastefully. Apart from the look and feel of the restaurant... my oh my... if you are a Mexican food lover such as myself, you will want to visit. I ordered the Mince Beef Nachos and was not disappointed with my choice. The servings are generous, and super tasty! I will definitely be back.

Worse hygiene practices possible. Handling food and money without exchanging gloves. Brought to their attention, but simply ignored. Asked for a remake but Ludwig more interested in bringing his point across. Asked for my money back and walked out!!!! Simply shocking!!!!
