Review Mehfil Indian Restaurant - Auckland Central

Namaste Jewel of India ! Food was really good. Tomato puree flavor in chicken curry was awesome. not very spicy that's the good part about it. It's good to see that restaurant is not merely showing the picture of Taj Mahal to represent the Indian jewel . Overall the staff was courteous, hospitable and sweet. Punjabi guy had the enthu to make sure the service is good and made sure that I liked it or if something was to be added. Overall on ambience, I do feel there were a lot of tables packed in for seating capacity. Music was old Bollywood instrumental, nice music. All in all a good experience to have th food, fill in and go to enjoy a stroll and sunset on the beach. Cheers jewel of India. And yea, one last thing - there was no WiFi password shared. Which is a let down in today's age.

It was awesome dinner on my birthday night . I went first time. It was very tasty food & very good service by staff.

Definitely my favourite Indian Restaurant and arguably my favourite restaurant in general. I recommend the banquet to anyone that wants to experience a little bit of everything. For those who are interested in playing it a bit safer the butter chicken and mango chicken are incredible. Can’t wait to my next meal there.

This is my favourite local Indian restaurant, for both take away and dine in. The food is yummy, I often customise my dishes and they are always happy to accommodate for it. Staff is friendly and efficent with food served on time.

I came to this restaurant after so many years. Loved the ambience, staff & food. Definitely recommended in Mission Bay.

Very small restaurant but the quality of food is best .... Tasty and delicious. Great quality. Nice sitting of chairs. Very competitive prices compared to near costly Indian restaurant. I would love to go again.

Loved everything about this restaurant. The location, staff and environment was amazing. Definently one of the best India restaurants I've tried. Price was very reasonable as well. Would definitely visit again.

Delicious, delicious, delicious! Nothing else to add. Food is fantastic, service is great. Can be a little noise during busy dinner service, but nothing to worry. Each time we are there, I forgot to take pictures because I can't stop myself for a minute. Everything is very good. Service is great too.

A bit average really. They need to pick up their presentation, waiter served us in jeans! Need to dim those bright lights as well to better the atmospher. I had Goan Fish Curry and couldn't eastlish any fish taste and the pieces of fish were tiny!

We got a delivery a few months ago and... wow! The food was authentic, very tasty, and was still hot when delivered from Mission Bay to CBD. We thought it would be our go-to Indian takeaway after that, but it lost a star because the quality and portions since then have been pretty inconsistent. Avoid on Saturday nights.

Very tasty! Everything was nice and had decent flavor and a good amount of heat for a medium tikka masala. But, the tikka masala didn't have much depth of flavor--it mostly tasted of tomato and not much else. That said, I'd still recommend this for Indian in the area. It's also a great value--wine, a starter, curry, and naan was about $32 for one person.

We went to this amazing restaurant and it was a fabulous experience the service was great, the food was delicious. we ordered bhuna lamb, sahi paneer and chicken kolhapuri. Me and my family had a great time there. Highly recommend if you want an authentic indian cuisine.

Excellent food. Authentic potato curry love it. Nice and clean restaurant with good staff.

These guys do one of the best Biryani dishes around. Always consistently yummy, as are most of their other dishes. Just a tip - “medium” spice level is more like hot - very hot sometimes (and my husband can handle his spice!).

Average food. We ordered Hara Bhara Kebab, Pakora Platter, Paneer Tikka,Manchurian and Mains for our lunch. <br/><br/>Hara Bhara was very dry and hard. Felt like ready made food had been re-heated/ fried. Everything else was ok in taste. We found hair in our curry, which was replaced by the staff. <br/><br/>Premises and facilities were untidy. Overall a very average experience !!

LOVE the butter chicken & assortment of naan breads. The staff were very nice & accomodating. Go-to for a late night eat in Mission Bay. Serving of rice is smaller than expected but other than that, great food here.

Yesterday Reached by chance but great experience. Food was really delicious veg as well as non-veg. We ordered chicken tikka masala in starter which was yummy and chutney was delicious. In main course we ordered achari chicken and paneer tikka masala and both were so nice in taste. One of staff member suggested more dishes and will definitely go there again to taste that. Great experience on Indian taste in New Zealand
Mike
There too much difference in real menu in the restaurant and uploaded menu on Zomato. Very poor. Not recommended. Food options are limited for vegetarians.

This is a bit wasted in a nice location, but is has kind of a lousy and tired vibe. Very dark and dated, smells very “closed” as well, so I sat outside and the waiter had to clean the table from dust. The food was ok and the staff was polite.
Ran Singh
Food is alright. shame that small things are not kept of high standards as it should be esp. being in prime location. New guy managing the place..hats off to you.... seems like more interested eyeing females & giving more attention to their tables...one managing before was simply out of sight this time. Regardless the new guy had the guts to ask for my colleagues phone # (after a full lousy slow service but continues dirty looks ).....gave me the creeps when she told us after and we all laughed it out....got more offered than what we actually went in for...loved the water view .keep it up !

We visit this restaurant from time to time and it serves one the best Indian food there is .We had ordered. Kadai chicken(4/5), Chicken bhuna(2/5), palak paneer(4/5) (my friend had ordered it and she liked it very much), butter naan(5/5), Cheese naan(5/5), Mango lassi(5/5) . Once of their starter dish planner tikka masala (10/10) was to die for.

What a nice restaurant, one of the best kept secrets in Auckland , the best flavours I have tasted any where in New Zealand .The chef is very good as the recipe is very authentic, amazing customer service, a great venue overlooking the beach. I highly recommend ... A++++

Had lunch at the Mehfil mission bay restaurant. The stairway floor was filthy as was the glass. carpet had not been cleaned. We sat at a table on the balcony and admired the view which was the best thing about our visit. Once again the floor was filthy with old used paper napkins under the table When we mentioned this to the waiter he said something about the wind (of which there was none) and just left them where they were. The rest of the area was grubby. We should have left then. We wondered what the kitchen was like and we couldn't see any rating. Food was ok and only $10.<br/>Also a number of pigeons landing on our table. We eat out at least once a week in Mission bay and this is the worst restaurant we have been to and certainly will never return

I come to this place here and there, but recently I went usually I don't mind the place being dirty or so because the food was somewhat decent right. So this time I went after a loooong time of not going, it was dirtier than usual with more bird shit on the balcony and this time the food we ordered wasn't as flavourful as it was last time, a dish was almost close to bland... Would I go there again, surprisingly yes if I'm broke because it's cheap $10 curry on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays along with a decent view of mission bay

As soon as you enter there was weird smell. <br/>Waiter made so many mistakes with our order.<br/>Asked for ice 5 times. <br/><br/>Overall very disappointed!

Been here a few times. Clean restaurant with a modern decor. Food is nice nothing too fancy or outside the ordinary on the menu. Friendly service.
Sydney
I’ve been here plenty of times and the food is always on point. The service is okay. What really makes this place is the location and the layout of the restaurant. You also can’t beat a good deal with their mains being $10 from mon-weds. However, I hadn’t been here for a couple of months until tonight - and the service was still ok, not as fast as it usually is (there were about 3 couples in the restaurant) + the chicken was slightly over cooked. The 3 stars is for the other times I have been here where the food tasted amazing and was served faster, hopefully tonight was just a one off.
Kanav Goyal
The two stars are for the quality of food which is the reason why we come to the restaurant. Otherwise the customer service is very poor with unfriendly and unhospitable staff. The staff does not care about customer satisfaction.
Ankur. Ghosh
Very very disappointed, had been there yesterday for a dinner and a very pathetic service, took them 40 minutes for the starters and another 50 minutes for the mains to arrive and that too after asking them 4-5 times and even when it arrived it was the wrong order,so another 40 minutes before the right order arrived so wat I was expecting of a 45 mins dinner turned into a 2hr movie, not recommend at all<br/>

We went to Mehfil last Sunday for dinner. we are fully unsatisfied from service and food was not even hot. We had very bad experience and this happened second time. we had to wait long for food. They didn't even provide the spoons to us. All the staff members talking to each other and didn't paid attention to customers. We will never go back to the Mehfil restaurant again.

Went here for my mates 21st , the food was solid 🤙🏽 😊 and definitely a vibrant place. Loved how the dishes came out in a unique display if that makes sense 😂 lol.

Indian restaurant with no frills.<br/>Served Punjabi and some indo Chinese<br/>Had a group booking .<br/>Efficient staff and Polite<br/>Food Tasty especially Kali daal was awesome<br/>Ambience and hygiene good.<br/>Good place to have dinner when travellers and you yearn for home style food.<br/>

The moment i entered the restra  it gave me a feel of old masala L however so much has changed in terms of service , decor and a little bit on menu side. The food is nice as ever and service is quick.  Come here very often for their lunch or drinks/dinner with group.

I couldn’t found any good indian restaurant and i was craving alot for indian food so i ended up here. I just love the food we ordered tandoori chicken in starters it was perfectly baked and taste tooo good. In main course we ordered butter paneer masala which was just wooow. Butter naan wAs also fresh and crispy. I loved this place, it’s ambiance and its service.

This place does ok Curry’s. Possibly the worst service in Auckland though. Come here if you don’t mind waiting a long time for some average food.<br/><br/>

Went here for the first time tonight and food was so yummy and staff were ok, didn’t really get checked up on and they didn’t seem to know the menu that well, <br/> but we ordered a vodka lemonade and she asked if we wanted double (which is what spirits usually come as) so we said yes and when we checked the bill, they had charged us for two shots of vodka for $12 each!! So it was $24 for ONE vodka lemonade and when I questioned this, the lady said that We ordered a double so it was 2 shots and I tried explaining that a double is two SINGLE shots not two doubles! So that meant that my friend had more than one standard drink and couldn’t drive and we had to fork out $24 for one drink which was half her whole bill!! Be careful when ordering!

Went in tonight and had a below average experience. Service was pretty bad considering there was 4 wait staff walking around and it wasn’t busy. Had to ask for water twice! When appetiser was done had to wait another 30mins for mains then ordered food for takeaway from one of the wait staff.. another waitress came and asked what our takeaway order was then she said ok and walked away, 2mins later a waiter comes again so we had to repeat the order for the 3rd time!! Food was AMAZING as usual but can’t say the same with service .
Shinal Shivanghni
Very classy and elegant place to dine in, nice polite staff, food was very rich in flavors, burst of goodness in each bite... the starters were the best part, chicken and lamb dishes were mind blowing... wasn’t happy with the drinks... in all honestly paid over 12 bucks for orange juice and vodka and all I can taste was water and oj.. apart from the drinks part everything was on point 👍
Sehaj Mehra
Authentic Indian food with a view. Quantity per dish is really small and disappointing. La carte is extremely expensive for a place like this but overall a good one time experience.

Went for dinner to Mehfil and enjoyed one of the best Indian meals that I have had in Auckland. The starters were the highlight for me - absolutely mouthwatering! The service was fantastic and staff very friendly. Overall an extremely pleasing experience. Would definitely recommend and as for me will visit regularly.

Food was good , loved curry and breads <br/><br/>Although Starters were disappointing <br/><br/>Would give zero to service , waitress who served us was like a robot, even robot would have greeted us in a better manner <br/><br/>Staff need some serious training regarding customer service
Abbey Sproul
Food was alright but the service was terrible. Was waiting at the door for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We ordered papadums and dips and didn’t get the dips until we had finished the papadums. We were never offered any drink refills. And when we finished no one cleared our plates, we had to go up to the bar to ask for some of our food to takeaway. Just a little bit disappointing.
Christopher Pearce
Honestly, the service and the restaurant are pretty grim. The times we've chosen to sit outside we've been hit by the rainshades, sitting inside we have no light. Fortunately the food is pretty good and have good midweek deals.
Tavleen Arora
Worst food more then worst is there manager and staff behaviour they don’t deserve even 1 rating place table plates everything was having dust on it and last thing I would say worst restaurant 0 rating for food and staff . 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Vish Rut
Service was utterly disappointing with the staff completely uninterested. They made mistakes with each time we placed an order. When advised to their boss who was collecting the bill, he just ignored the concern. Didn’t expect this from Mehfil. Guess they’ve started taking customers for granted. 2 stars for the food. Had the service been good then i will give 4 stars.
Sunvi Ahsan
Food was quite good. Customer service was great until the end when they forgotten about our takeaways and prolly thrown out. Price is ok for the area. Ambiance is good. Annoying part is the music which can be little loud and poor selection of music. Would recommend the chef’s special.
Rao
I have been here a few times as my silly friends insist on going here (only place in MB that does shisha). I personally have found the food and service passable, but they definitely sneak items onto the bill that you haven't ordered (or double existing drinks orders).
Annie Wilson
Good location but the food doesn't seem to be that fresh and only Luke warm when served.... would rather walk down a couple metres to the other Indian.
Gurinder Singh
The best and authentic taste of Manchurian you can ever had in town. The service was really very good and quick. The staff was really very friendly.
Divya Singh
Best food n service in town. Staff is very helpful n friendly.<br/>Always suggest what to order according to our taste. Best chicken items in town..

Not recommended! <br/>The guy who served us behaved like he didn't care about the job or the people who came. Most disrespectful staff I have ever encountered in a restaurant. <br/>The taste of food added to the fail of the restaurant. Complete waste of money. <br/>Spoilt my evening.
Roman Singh
Worst Indian food I have ever tried! Completely bland and sucked. Horrible service and staff.<br/>Mehfil in Indian is supposed to mean enjoyment but there was no bit of enjoyment. Staff doesn’t greet you and behaves so rude. <br/>Waste of my hard earned money.
Laila.basiri
Went there a couple of nights with the fam, as they wanted to try something new and their food was great when I went there a couple of times. There was about 18 of us, had reserved a table for 18 for outside seating as the inside of the restaurant is way too dull and depressing to seat. <br/><br/>Their food I used to love before however their rice was really bad this time. It was raw and hard. Most of us had our rice just left on our plates. <br/><br/>Their customer service is seriously so poor. They’re so rude even though they’re never busy idk what their excuse is. And for a table of 18 they were so impatient and obnoxiously rude towards us as we had kids and all that needed attention as we were placing our orders.

Came here for Xmas dinner with some colleagues. Never coming back again.<br/><br/>Ambience: Nice location on the restaurant strip of Mission Bay. However, you can tell that whoever designed this place has no taste. The overall tone is black and white, i.e walls and chairs are black and table cloth is white, it simply doesn’t work for me. When we came in the restaurant is basically empty, only one table of 4.<br/><br/>Service: Bad, from the moment we walked in, the staff was not at all friendly or attentive. The table we sat down had dirty table cloth with a piece of paper on the top. I reckon they just change the paper and don’t bother to clean the cloth. When my friend pointed that out and asked to seat somewhere with clean table cloth the waiter just told her to pull the paper to her side to cover the dirty stains. Also, after the starters came out, we couldn’t get hold of the staff as there was a Indian wedding going on in the big function room at the other side of the restaurant. We ended up waiting for almost half an hour to get a waitress and ask why our mains haven’t come out. Throughout the whole dinner we had to ask the waitress every time to refill the water. <br/><br/>Food: Decent enough. We ordered 2 platters (Tandoori Chicken and Vegetable) for starters, 4 mains including Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken, plus some naan bread. You can choose the spicy scale for each dishes. Love the platters, crunchy fried onions and delicious Samosa. The Tandoori chicken was really good. For main, I got Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan bread. The Chicken was tasty and creamy, and nicely paired with the bread. They did give us some rice to eat with the chicken but the rice was super dry, like it hadn’t been cooked properly.<br/><br/>Overall, I’d go somewhere else for overpriced Indian food. Not a chance I’ll be back here again with that kind of below par service. Giving 3/5 only for the food. Gladly give 1/5 for service.

If I could give this place a zero I would, unfortunately that’s not an option. The man I spoke to on the phone was rude and abrupt and ended up hanging up on me. <br/><br/>I ordered takeaways to be delivered to Kurahaupo Street, Orakei and the delivery guy claimed to have waited outside of my house for half an hour. I asked him why he didn’t call me to say he was outside and he said he had no credit, further into the conversation he tells me he was waiting outside the middle house (not my house). <br/><br/>Well I’m a local and In the past I would frequent here around 2-3 times a month however I’ll just go to Jewel of India down the road as the foods the same and the service is a whole lot better. <br/><br/>Point of the story I waited over an hour for takeaways that didn’t arrive & had the staff at the restaurant hang up on me. Lol

Amazing Indian food I've ever had in Auckland. Nice ambience, food and service. Also, staff were friendly. Must Visit Place!!!! The portion size of food can be improved.
SuhaylaEkhlasi
The staff wasn’t very nice. The food portion from before is much smaller and they no longer give a a drink with their $10 special. I enjoyed the view which is a must on a gorgeous day. The shisha they serve is very good, I would probably go again for the shisha not so much he food.

Have tried them several times but have been through take always only. Last week was the first time we went there for Dine in and had pathetic experience. They took our order and then took ages to prepare and serve.though at least we had food. Again we planned to visit after 2 days and this time we ordered our food in advance and they said that food will be served in 20mins on the table irrespective you are here or not( who the heck in this world does that???) anyhow, we said ok since we were running on time. When we reach there we saw that the table reserved was next to the terrace door which is always open and food was completely cold(was not even the fresh food). We asked manager- Rahul Ganjoo to heat it up, then they said we told you before hand and we can't do anything. I said that's ok but you guys should have blocked a table which is not next to the main door specially when the complete restaurant is vacant. He starting yelling and bluntly denied that this is what we do. We asked about the contact details of senior person/owners to speak to and he said I am the senior most and running this restaurant by myself. His attitude was so bad towards the customer that finally we had to leave but we took that food bcoz we ordered beforehand. But definitely no more service required from this restaurant.

We went early on a Wednesday night and had the $10 mains. The food and service was amazing. Super quick and friendly. Couldnt believe how good of a deal we were getting!

-- The moment you enter in to the restaurant..... straight away a staff member comes up and ask table for how many???<br/>- Unlikely, as other restaurants, guests are not free to roam around.<br/>- Feels like entering into an army operated canteen.<br/><br/>-- Staff is disgusting including management as, always ask for feedback, next time you pay visit and it is still same, not updated as per your given feedback.<br/>- Thus, no meaning to ask for any feedback guys !!!<br/><br/>-- This 2.0 rate out of 5.0, given only for THE TEST and THE VIEW FROM TERRACE.<br/>- Awesome test (only reason of keep visiting)<br/><br/>-- As always, bread comes first and curry will follow after it approx. 10 minutes, which is too much. (typically when ordered al carte method not fixed lunch)<br/>- No matter to have dry and cold bread, specially by an expensive restaurant.<br/><br/>Be careful, still recommend  !!!

Excellent service and organizing for birthday group consisting of 24 people. Food was excellent and definitely value for money on their $10 evening meal deal. Staff only too happy to assist with organization of function. A memorable occasion for all who attended. No hiccups, everything flowed smoothly. Thank you! Mehfil Indian Restaurant, for a wonderful Birthday celebration. Bonus having a liquor license and beautiful venue, with sea views on Auckland's Tamaki Drive, Mission Bay. We are always pleased with your service and will definitely continue to patronize your restaurant. Rating A+++. Thank you for making it a memorable  and enjoyable occasion for all. <br/>                                                                                                       ~ Alexander Family and guests.

Came here for $10 lunch special. Good value for money. Quite friendly staff. The only I don't like is my papadum wasn't crispy at the middle. So wonder how long it has been made.
Amber Evans
While the food is fairly nice. EVERYTHING is extremely over priced. We paid $20 for a rum and coke which costs more than a main and staff couldn't justify why the drink was so expensive. There are so many better places to get curry. Won't be coming back here.
Neelam Aitharaju
We went in for Mother's day lunch.  First of all our booking that we had made days ago had not been noted.  We waited for an hour before the entrees arrived.  They were cold - as if these had been in the fridge and then simply brought out.  We sent these back and asked them to be piping hot - again the sheekh kebabs arrived cold as before.  We finally cancelled our mains and walked out of the restaurant.  The owner did not seem to show any empathy.  He charged us fully for these entrees and did offer any kind of apology.  Definately we are never going back here!  The restaurant was overbooked and they just kept taking more and more people.  I saw a dozen or so other patrons simply walk out!  What a disgusting place to go - it really spoilt our Monther's day lunch - never going back!
Christina
Came here for dinner but am not impressed at all. <br/><br/>Curries are on the pricier side compared to other places, most were in the $18-20 range whereas most other places are $13-16. Yet despite the higher prices the portion size remained the same. <br/><br/>The one I got was bland- not much spices and no salt, seasoning or anything. <br/><br/>The poppadom platter was overpriced- $8 for 5 poppadoms and 2 small bowls of dips and pickle, compared to just ordering 4 poppadoms on its own for $2. In other words they charge an extra $6 for 1 more poppadom and some dips. <br/><br/>Not sure how they got high reviews when there are better Indian places out there.
Mukesh Bisht
Food was great but the service was not that good. Maybe because they are not paying their staff members enough or they dont have enough staff to handle all the customers in their restaurant and bar
Nikita Sakhala
The food being ordered took 2 hrs to serve on table ... and at the end they come up and say dat your dock has been shifted at back ... this was the bad experience in restaurant..
Rakeshreddy487
Bad Experience.... staff don't care about their customer, waited close to 2hrs15mins just for panner tikka.. staff needs to be trained on CSE.

this is my first visited indian restaurant in auckland.. i was really satisfied with the tasty food and a good service.. nice location.. u can see beach from above and enjoy the breeze.. we ordered one starter having curd and crispy chat that was amazing..!

One of the good Indian restaurants in Auckland. <br/><br/>Had Dal Makhni with Garlic naan and steamed rice. Liked all of it. Must say that Dal Makhni was prepared in the typical authentic style.<br/><br/>Sat in the balcony, so the view added to the enjoyment of eating. Overall good decor and nice ambience. <br/><br/>The staff is friendly and cooperative, extra points for them.
Disha
Not a typical indian food joint. It has one of the best views compared to other restaurants. They have $10 lunch menu which works fairly well, Rogan Josh is outstanding however their mehfil special curry was sweet unfortunately even when I had ordered red-hot. Onion bhaji was average but Chicken Tikka takes away the cake for sure- the chef knows what he is doing out here. <br/>While we were leaving noticed there was a lounge room which had hookah and bar - looked like a great section to book for get together. Staff was very friendly and attentive.Overall it's a must must go.

We went here for a friend's surprise birthday party.  It was a last minute decision to throw a surprise party for her and the staff were very accomodating. In such a short notice (less than 3 hours) they arranged everything beautifully. Service was lovely! The food was great with amazing flavours. Will definitely  go back for dinner sometime soon.
Anastasia Lee
The restaurant is very nice; the interior and the exterior is presented well, although most of the tables outside had a bit of bird faeces. The customer service was kind, and it was great of them to check up on us once we had gotten our meal, and coming to the end of our meal. The prices are very affordable, especially for students that want to dine out, and I definitely will be going back.

This review is for Mehfil in Botany where we experienced nice food but terrible service. We made a booking for 10 people so imagine our surprise when we show up and they expected us to be split among two enclosed booth seats (so you couldn't see people in the next booth) which is totally impractical considering we were a family celebrating a birthday and order a lot of dishes for sharing. Their solution was to make up a table in the entrance way which was quick thinking on their part but absolutely freezing! Every time a customer walked in, a cold gust of wind would hit us which was really unpleasant for the older members of the family. There was also no overhead lighting as this was not an area customers would usually sit in, making it so dark we could barely read the menu. In addition to this, there was a 21st party going on upstairs in the function room with really loud music. We had to shout over the noise to have a conversation and we were constantly distracted by party goers coming up and down the stairs next to us. The food itself was very nice; however, we had to keep trying to get the wait staff's attention for basic things like cutlery and water on the table. I will try Mehfil again but my advice to them is to not overbook your restaurant to make that little bit of extra money. Customers who make bookings should be your priority - it was obvious our table would have been given to walk-ins. And most importantly, you need to advise people of a function with that level of noise!

Good food and service. Went with my Indian friends, they said it's quite authentic. Stunning views. Great lunch value. I think I will be going again.

Called in here on Thursday 29 October 2015 for lunch.  Have been here loads of times in the past.  Love the setting up stairs over looking the magnificent Mission Bay and great value lunch menu - $10.00 and that comes with main, rice, nann, and drink.  I had the Saagwala Paneer - a lovely spinach and cottage cheese dish - great if you need a veg booster.  They use to be under the Masala name.

I was craving Indian food and so we came here after work! It was actually a pretty early dinner (5:30pm) but I was absolutely starving. <br/><br/>Someone greeted us at the door and gave us the option of sitting inside or outside. We sat inside and were given our menus. The service throughout was actually great, the waiters were attentive and we were asked whether things were going okay about two times during our meal. <br/><br/>We ordered a mango lassi to start, which was nice but I wish had been a bit colder especially on a hot afternoon! <br/><br/>We ordered a tandoori platter for two for our entree, and for our mains we ordered chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala and a garlic naan. Our entree was so so good. It was very flavourful but I actually enjoyed all the different meats in the platter. We ate it embarrassingly fast but I HAVE NO REGRETS IT WAS SO GOOD. I was actually almost half full by the time our mains came along (service was quite fast) and we didn't manage to finish everything. The tikka masala with the naan was very nice! But we didn't touch the plain white rice (apart from a few spoonfuls) because we had biryani. <br/><br/>Overall, I'd definitely come back again! They're quite newly opened (in the place of Masala) so they haven't gotten their liquor license yet and I feel as though their staff are still getting the hang of working in hospo. So far so good though! Would love to come back.
