Review Kfc - Auckland Central

Probably one of the cleanest fast food restaurants I've been to. Self-service machines were lagging and they forgot to give me my drinks but other than that, it was a nice dine in.

Large drive through for a KFC so you don't lose a bumper in the quest for chicken. Like all KFC locations taking the order is the slowest process then they turn around and make the order so everyone else who's not ordered stands around waiting. But apart from the service was good and the chicken nom nom.

Lachlan is hands down the best KFC employee I have ever come across. Give this guy a promotion/raise KFC! I’ll be checking with him next time I visit to make sure he’s received some praise for this review!

It's KFC you know the food is good. I would describe the service as non verbal. Staff that clearly don't wanna be there...

Good chicken and a sunny patio is a plus. Watch out for hungry birds though! A bit slow service on the other hand, it's strange for me they have not heard of corn on the cob in New Zealand. Also, it's weird that certain meals do not allow options between spicy or regular chicken. My Value Meal Bucket had to be regular chicken, when I asked for spicy chicken I was told I would have to order a different meal.

Chicken is always tender and moist, full of flavor and good portion

The food is nice but the staff never give me napkins 😀😅😂

It is opened on Xmas day with those other restaurant or fast food was closed. Even Macdonald was closed on Xmas. The fries here is much tastier than in my hometown.

Ordered a Bucket takeaway. Their Original Recipe was well flavored and surprisingly tender. <br/><br/>The fries were a little dry, but the potato gravy and caeser salad were good (based on fast food standards)<br/><br/>All food were nicely packed with two cardboard vessels to place bones etc, very considerate.<br/><br/>Food: 9/10<br/>Food presentation: 7/10<br/>Service: 8/10<br/>Value for money: 9/10<br/><br/>Price $12 per person

Been to this place (through the drive-thru) three times and every single experience has been beyond underwhelming. How hard is it to fulfil the request of your customer? Every time I ask for FRESH FRIES WITH EXTRA SEASONING. The outcome is the complete opposite - cardboard chips with no damn seasoning at all. Even when the clerk answers yes to my request, the result is the exact same 🙄. Poor form! <br/>

Drive through eftpos was broken, this was no issue at the time as I can simply park up and pay inside. But then when I got my order and checked in the car, I had to go back in to request for a LARGE sized coleslaw. Not sure why they don&#039;t ask when taking the order.&nbsp;<br/>Anyway, I should have opened up all the takeaway boxes they gave me as when I got home there was no zinger sachet to srpinkle on my fries, which was a HUGE disappointment after all the time I spent at this KFC (compared to a quick drive thru).

Really polite and friendly service. Gave me the hot fresh fried chicken instead of the leftover wings. Waiting lane was long but their service quiet quick.

Visited yesterday, place was reasonably clean, food was good in terms of hygiene, taste, and freshness. Restaurant staffs were good. 3 star is considered as fair for this place.

7/11/18 Drive thru here since i was craving for something sweet, we have wicked wings and krusher cookies and cream for me.. and then eating around the beach close to this store.. very nice view

The quality of food is really bad when compared to other kfc outlets. Even the serving size of chicken pieces is really small. Cold fries :(

I'm a huge fan of KFC wicked wings however this store had particularly dry chicken; it tasted like it had been sitting in the oven warmer for a long time though the fries were fresh and nicely salted. As a popular franchise known to produce the best chicken, I was disappointed with what I received. In saying this, I definitely do not have lower expectations across stores as I usually receive quality chicken, so hopefully, this is only a one off! Cleanliness of the store can be improved however good customer service overall.

We all know that hospitality workers don’t often get applauded for their work, on the contrary they get a lot of sh*t. I want to take this opportunity today to thank KFC quay street. Had an absolutely AMAZING experience. We were attended by a really friendly dude on the drive thru. I changed my burger order to try the New mozzarella burger and he changed it happily. What a legend to have working behind the window. Great job man. Also, the sticky wicked wings lunch and the burger were out of the world. Great effort and thanks for an awesome experience on a public holiday when it’s hard to get a decent feed. <br/><br/>P.S we were there around 1335

The staff is friendly and the environment is great. The cleanliness of tables is something that they need to pay a little more attention to especially on the upper level. The outdoor balcony seating is a treat for foodies and the food in itself was good too. The burger was great. The dressing was perfect and the patty was succulent. Definitely worth another visit.

Customer service from Neil is appalling.  My voucher was no good as had expired - did not offer any help as to what I could chose from the menu.  My second choice was a slider, no this was on promotion and no longer exists.  My finale choice was a Wing It YES its on the menu but was advised this is 50c more than the flyer said.  After completing 2 surveys from other stalls I handed these over and have had a speil about how Neil should not be honoring these as you only get one but nothing in writing about this on the surveys.  I had been into other stores and this one only a week ago and have not been advised of this.  Neil went on and on and on about this.  How about contacting your head office at Restaurant Brands NZ about this mate.  Not only this but the bins were overflowing with rubbish, No air conditioning and stinking hot up stairs and in the entire building.  Chips were soggy and under cooked.  Floors need a good clean too.

i'm a big kfc fan :P never had forgotten items or dry chicken here. walking distance from me and has outdoor seating which is nice in summertime.

Ended up at KFC as the neighbouring Mcdonald's drive thru had a long queue for the drive thru. No queue at this KFC drive thru. Prompt and friendly service, did not try to hurry me. Much appreciated. Order was prompt and correct, nothing missing. Would return for a quick feed.

Super good KFC. They always make it fresh to order. Please use more salt on the fries though ! It's so disappointing getting home and they have no salt on them.

Fresh hot food. Good original good wicked wings nice hot well seasoned chips. 10 out of 10 for the food! 0 for cleanliness, though slightly less filthy and disgusting than most other fast food places in town. Toilets particularly bad. Drongos behind the counter absolutely oblivious to customer needs or providing much in the way of service. But really good chicken.

Good choice for vegetarians. Their simple $6.90 meal is inclusive of a burger, fries and a drink. I munched on a veggie burger and ordered a hot chocolate. The staff member who wasnt in uniform behind the counter didnt acknowledge my presence and was constantly on the phone. Maybe he is the manager which makes it all the more important to acknowledge the customer.. I was the only customer waiting...still waiting..., and then 5 mins later another staff member asked for my order. Meanwhile, the guy on the phone is still on the phone.<br/>The 3 rating is fr the food, you need to work on customer service, specially the guy on the phone, you know who i am talking about if you are readig this.

Only when I'm desperate for something on my cheat day, then KFC is pretty much the place I go to. Out of the outlets I've been to and despite the distance, I like this one just getting my meal and going upstairs and eat. Just looking across the road towards the port.

Always consistent out of many kfcs i visited. crispy and fresh. orders are served quickly. Nothing bad to say about this particular branch. sometimes wicked wings are not available near closing time so make sure to get it early if you want them.

I love KFC wings and potato gravy..bring the mashes back.....fresh and lovely....this is my fav kfc in auckland...tables are always dirty though.....its so busy what can they do...

In my book, a 3.5 for a simple takeaway is exceptional. KFC Quay Street seems to do what the other KFC's in Auckland find impossible - they employ a good amount of intelligent staff. Service is quick, chicken is consistently good and the place is clean. What more can you ask, and yet how the other KFC's in Auckland fail so miserably at this I cannot start to fathom.

When mum's not home to cook and you want fried chicken there's no other place to go than to KFC. They have decent amount of parking and a lot of room for in store dining. But today I got takeaway.<br/>I love coming here with friends and just sharing 2 of their 20 wicked wings for $20 deal, that's my favourite. <br/>But tonight I ordered a Wicked Meal with coleslaw instead of chips.<br/>The staff have great attention to detail and customer service.<br/>They're quite busy at the Quay St restaurant but they're efficient with our meal coming out quickly.<br/>The chicken was relatively moist with crunchy skin and seasoned well, which I can't say for all branches.

For people who love KFC they will immediately notice the difference in cooking style form Asian region to the Pacific region. The Chicken is much more crispier and better cooked in my opinion; of course a bit more spicy as well. Difference in taste is highly prevalent.

KFC is one of those places that you wander into late at night because you're craving some fried stuff. You're not going there for the atmosphere or the particularly skilful cooking. You want hot food and you want it now.<br/><br/>To satisfy my cravings, I walked away with half-n-half wicked wings and grilled wings. It's great value for money if you're not interested in having any sides or drinks, and I like alternating between the crispy wicked wings and the well marinated succulent grilled wings. <br/><br/>I'm not a fan of eating there, but there's two levels so plenty of tables and lots of little booths for a semblance of privacy, but the floors are super sticky from all the spilt soft drinks no doubt, which doesn't really make the place feel any cleaner. It's already a bit oily and grimy as is characteristic of well populated fast food places, so the sticky floors just put me off eating there even more. I'd rather walk up to near Vector Arena and eat at the park there.<br/><br/>The wicked wings have a crispy skin and while their chicken flavour isn't as great as the grilled wings, the skin is addictive stuff. I like eating these cold best as the skin has softened slightly and you can taste all the flavour that's gone into the batter.<br/><br/>The grilled wings have a lovely grilled skin that can sometimes venture into burnt. They have the best chicken flavour and taste a little like they've been marinated in honey and soy sauce. I prefer eating these piping hot as once they're cold, the skin gets a bit tough and stretchy. <br/><br/>Overall, this is the place for some hot and quick chicken to snack on. No frills. No fuss. Just food.
