Review Mcdonald's - Auckland Central

Food quick and hot, well constructed and generous with fillings. Attendants were talking to each other instead of us but were super apologetic, friendly and generous when we asked for extra sauce and napkins. Carpark a construction lot and can't comment on inside, we were 2am drive thru.

Ordered via d/thru late evening which wasn't too busy but quickly got backed up due to very polite server being a bit too slow taking orders. Also they didn't serve in the order that the cars arrived. Food arrived quick tho. So pretty much the standard typical Maccas experience.

It's a Quick stop branch, food orders prepared and given promptly, there are No longer dining tables, just standing eating bench, thee staff-members are Great at their assigned duties.:)))

It was slow but the drive thru was completely full my order came and it was hot or cold the team seem to be a well oiled machine well done was in Auckland for a gig on K Rd was heading back to Hamilton will visit again

Nice McDonald place open 24/7... good burgers and everything was nice... I am posting my experience though because this time of the year we are fasting so we ordered a mcFish burger... we couldn’t have meat so we gave a try to that... it was nice... tasty and fresh... so this place became my favorite pick when I want fast food... great service also...

By far some of the best customer service and nicest people around. Polite, professional, friendly, helpful staff. Never had any issues here at all. A lot of the fine dining establishments down road in Ponsonby can learn a thing or two from these guys.

There was a bot delay in the fri thru have noticed it a couple of times during night specially, rather than that everything good

The guy took drive thru orders on sunday 23rd July 2023 deserves a raise. He got the nicest customer service speech for any fast food drive thru that I encountered in a long time

Who knew how busy the drive-thru queue would be around 10pm but patience is a virtue, so I'm told, and the late night feast was enjoyed back home.

This was the first time I got bad experience in Mcdonalds. It was an exhausting day from work and I was about to have lunch as late as 2pm. Got in and opened Mcdonald app to get an offer. I was asked to activate the offer and the employee saw it. Then I got my eftpos card out and the worker says the machine has been messed up for some time and they can only accept cash. (If something is not working in the restaurant especially to do with payment, they should let the customers know). Then the offer time ran out and these two workers were trying things on their machine. While I was growing impatient 10 minutes in, the first worker says something. I kept asking to understand what he was saying but the point of his statement was, paying cash will work. I was extremely annoyed knowing what he said was pointless at solving this situation. I replied: I don't carry cash, who carries cash these days. (When something is not working, I want to hear solutions). Then a second worker seem annoyed by it and just leaves. I waited more than 20 minutes but they were all in hurry for other order and didn't bother solving the problem until manager-like lady was alerted of the situation. She was very helpful by trying the offer on her phone. It did not work so she just ordered anything on self serving machine that costs the same as my offer-menu. Then she shouted at the kitchen saying this 'order' is meant to be this 'offer-menu'. A worker shouted back to let us know they heard. When i got the bag and checked with the worker, the content was wrong. Badly coordinated team and no one willing to come up with a solution.

The food and service is great. But most of all, I would like to commend the service crew thru the Jonathan/Manager for their honesty after handinjg over back to me my lost wallet. To them, I asay a million thanks.

Service pretty slow through the drive through. Fillet of fish, fish fillet was decent but bun and cheese not so much. Better off spending money elsewhere.

Warning when ordering ubereats from here it takes well over 1 hour to receive it. Also saw a rat come out of the back of the building while in the carpark

Come through here often when in the area. Typical Maccas layout. Service and food is always good however, I would recommend you check your drive thru order before leaving as we have been given wrong or missing items.

Nothing like going to Maccas after a long a day and getting a frozen coke for a dollar.<br/>The taste was superb and pocket friendly price<br/>Service was quit well<br/>Must visit !!!!

Got a small frozen Fanta for free today from the coupon if McDonald's app. Pretty good and fast service. Environment was pmclean and hygiene.chocolate sauce on sundae was quite a lot, really nice.

After work last night, we decided to grab a bite at McDee's. So our order was as follows; Double Fillet 'O Fish combo Large with L&P no ice. Large Boss combo with the same drink and a Mega Mac on it's own. As we proceeded to the pay window, the staff member repeated back the order except for the Double Fillet 'O Fish combo. We reminded her and she added it to the order and we completed the payment. The order we received however was as follows; 3 Large L&P's, 3 large chips, 1 fillet o fish burger, 1 Mega Mac, 1 Boss burger AND 1 double McChicken burger?? 🤔🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️. At that time, we were the only car in Drive Thru & they got our order wrong. This is the 2nd time it has happened to us. Please use your taringa's next time.

Mcdonalds for dinner again! Drove through today. Burgers were quite warm which was good. I would like to preface this complaint by stating that in no way to I blame the staff at mcdonalds great north road, it's clear from the moment of entering that the staff were over-worked and struggling with the amount of orders - especially from uber eats.<br/><br/>On Wednesday night I ordered a deluxe cheeseburger to take-away and in one of the last bites I tasted something bitter and hard, I hate spitting out my food so I swallowed it anyway, and boy do I regret it. Two hours later I was vomiting severely and struck by terrible diarrhea. I could not get out of bed or eat for the next 24 hours and had a fever, keeping liquids down was even a struggle. I still feel weak from this belt of food-poisoning. I've been racking my brains as to what I injested - the texture and flavor makes me wonder if it was some kind of bug - but would that even do this much damage? I just hope it wasn't part of a mouse or something because the thought of that is much more horrifying.<br/><br/>I'm concerned about the environment, are the workers unionised? Do you have them on zero hours contracts? I find that tired, stressed, underpaid, and over-worked employees are much more likely to make mistakes like this. Please consider improving the working environment, and encourage your employees to unionise.<br/> Stop overworking your staff and pay them a decent (living) wage.

I was once thrown out of this McDonalds for throwing deodorant cans aggressively at the staff. Im seeking revenge. <br/>I just wanted some small fries.

Got warm chips asked staff can they please replace with hot chips.Staff was at counter wait for 3mins and then she informed another staff chips was warm.She was really loud that they just came out 3mins back.She mixed that old chips with new one in frint me put them back and put lots of salt on the top of it.Stupid lady

Quite a small dining area and store in general. Whenever I go here, the service is always fast and the food served hot. Parking spaces are limited but there are side streets available and easily accessible to the restaurant. I usually order the filet-o-fish from this store and it is just as good every time!

Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been ! VERY RUDE staff.. they know nothing about customer service.<br/>All staff should be replaced with people who knows how to deal with customers

To put it bluntly this place is not recommended.  The service was poor, and the kai was poorly prepared.  It was as though the food had come out of a rubbish compactor.  The food was soggy, cold or still defrosting.  No presentation or pride taken at all with the food preparation that the consumer pays for.  If you are a MDs fan perhaps make the drive over to Balmoral or Pt Chev as an alternative.

Definitely a great late night snack, opened late, drive through and all that! But was not impressed with my soggy fries and not fully filled too. :( fill it up mcd! <br/><br/>However, can't complain about the yummy nuggets and that chicken Big Mac :p

Went to do a bit of cleaning for one of my mates at his work. Feeling exhausted we decided to get the frozen cokes which were $1 each. Ended up getting the order in under a minute. Fast service I must say compared to other chains.

So my wife and I (they call us the new branjolina), went to get ourselves a Double Cheeseburger Attack Combo this evening. Firstly the term 'attack' was not recognised and we had to teach the staff that this description means you get an extra burger with the standard combo. Secondly, we received the order and the burgers were single, we then drove around the block to park and take the burger back. We were turned away as 'we had ordered singles' even though we hadn't. The staff rejected our claim and forced us back to the car with our, now cold, measly single burgers. The bread was stale and the chips were questionable.

By far the worst mcdonalds. Always screw up your order, always forgetting the mayo or cheese, if you do want to eat in the tables are always covered in food. I moved the food aside to eat in the pic.

I ordered a Chicken McCheese but they forgot the cheese. The ingredients are in the name!<br/>Also their McFlurry machine is always broken.<br/>Good location though and the staff in this drivethru are always quite chirpy

The toilets were supposedly 'out of order' and the tables, floor and seats were absolutely filthy with food scraps everywhere.<br/><br/>ETA: drive through - one lane is down. There is no menu in the drive through apart from two pieces of paper crudely sellotaped on the board. We were asked to pull over to wait for our order, which took a very long time. My burger was cold and not good by then, and the chips were not cooked through.

Omg their new limited edition McGriddle is a MUST try !!!!!! Instead of the usual English muffin , two pancakes with maple syrup is used. Man I have no words , melts in my mouth, the sweetness of the pancakes and the saltiness of the sausage and egg .... BEST BREAKFAST EVER . The only small negativity - very unhealthy lol . I have had it 3 days in a row now ... Time to stop lol

Shocking. Absolutely shocking. Waited 10mins in line to be told they were doing cash only that night which I did t have on me. Another night waited far too long in the drive through only to be told no sundaes being served. Ever heard of a sign? Staff aren't friendly, not very happy with this outlet

This is the McDonalds I go to when I have naughty midnight cravings. The service is fast, the staff serves you right away. Its a small little joint, runs 24 hours, its a fast food take out chain - I mean what do you really expect? Anyways, in all my experiences of going here to grab my happy meals, I've been rather happy. Quick in a out, no fuss.

Utter rubbish, food is slow and they have terrible service. I found that after I had been given my food they had left most of the food out of my order. It is something McD's should be ashamed of. Shut it down or re do the management.

It's hard to rate this McDonald's. On the one hand, for what it provides (a quick cheap meal) then they succeed. On the other hand, there is no ambience, hardly any seating (Grey Lynn anyway, probably only three tables and a couple of benches), and a pretty standard well worn menu. Basic hamburgers are $2.50 which is hard to find anywhere else and for kids they are still the place to go for a quick meal. They loved the nuggets and the chicken burgers... and I never turn down a hot apple pie!  But if you have a choice, do yourself a favour and go to the nearby Ponsonby Central!
