Review Two Good Guys Eatery - Auckland Central

Hidden Gem with excellent service!! We’ve seen this place for a while as our kid goes to daycare next door and finally decided to give it a try. We went with a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed our night. The food was excellent especially the platter as it had something for everyone. We also ordered mains and dessert and were not disappointed with any of our meals. However, the service is what makes this place special and it was totally on point! Yana, the manager, and the server were both amazing and made us feel very comfortable (with our over energetic and loud kids). Yana even went above and beyond and requested the chef to amend my meal so I can have more veges after the meat platter! Will definitely come back and make it our local favourite.

Such an underrated place. We bought a voucher through grabone to try a new place and the food was delicious! I had fish of the day and my partner had the lamb. The food was flavourful, well prepared, big portions and reasonable price. Staff were lovely and helpful. Abit sad that it wasn't busier on a friday night. The space is amazing and with a little spruce it could be a real hotspot. Thanks you for having us x

Would definitely recommend the Two Good Guys Trio. The crispy bread with meat and hummus is just perfect match. Great pricing and great portion. Highly recommend.

Me and my brother popped in tonight. Straight in, to our amazement. Service excellent food amazing.Beef cheeks and steak, just as we wanted it, with a bevie. Definitely recommend 2 Good Guys. See you again soon

I love a business with integrity and passion. My partner and I visited on a super busy Sunday late-morning, right as just about everyone else in Glen Eden decided to visit. They were understandably slammed with orders and, with the business still being quite new, they struggled to keep up a bit. However, they were really honest about it. When we showed up they told us how long the wait was, and the whole time they continued to be honest, keep us up to date and really just made sure we never felt like we were forgotten. All the staff were apologetic for the wait, but honestly you're all doing a great job and a cafe like this is so desperately needed in Glen Eden. This was my second visit and both times the food has been phenomenal. I've tried the halloumi bruschetta and the hash benedict. Portions are generous, food is perfectly cooked, and all the flavours are spot on. The coffee is excellent. My partner loved the hangover breakfast on our previous visit. The fitout is also fantastic, with a really comfortable feeling, great outdoor space and decent tables & chairs. Love to see a dog-friendly cafe! I'm honestly so happy to have Two Good Guys in Glen Eden, the service and the food is really worth raving about, and I'm looking forward to returning in future. :)

I think I came in with massively high expectations because people on the gleneden community page were raving about it. Maybe I wouldve enjoyed it more if I hadn’t seen the reviews. I don’t know. I like to think I have experienced tastebuds. Here’s my experience, take it for what it’s worth: Came to this restaurant years ago when it was named something else. It was a very mediocre experience at the time. However, they have upgraded everything here massively and I’m happy to see it. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The place was clean. Had nice indoor/outdoor choices for seating. It was pretty busy too I’d say about 80% full (went in at 11am on a Sunday). I ordered the beef burger. It was above average but the patty was a bit undercooked (for me). You can actually tell in my picture because the patty doesn’t look that grilled and the cheese hasn’t melted at all and was hard(you can see the corner of it between the bacon and the bun in my picture). Maybe that’s fine for some people but I usually like my cheese melted in a burger. Might have been due to how busy it was. Everything else was all good though. $25 for the beef burger. The price is ok. Definitely think you get a better deal at rosier burgers price and taste wise but may not be a fair comparison as they specialise in burgers. It’s definitely a decent bite in Glen Eden - where fine dining restaurants tend to be lacking. I’ll come back once more to try one of the breakfasts just to make sure I didn’t catch them on a bad day or something. If you’re wondering whether to try; give it a go. I don’t know about ordering the beef burger maybe try something else on the menu. It’s a pretty safe bet if you want to try somewhere new to eat though! *EDIT* Came back to try dinner instead. Had the ‘cut of the day’. Essentially medium rare steak and veges. It was good! Wait time was a bit longer tonight and they forgot our order of fries (but that was ok because didn’t get charged for them and it was probably God telling me to lay off). Deserves the upgrade from my previous 4 stars to 5.

Really enjoyed the 24 hour braised beef cheek; couldnt be better, highly recommended! The chocolate brownies were fabulous too. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Fantastic place to eat. The staff is extremely accommodating and switched the outside heater on when I arrived on a frosty morning. This is one of my favourite cafes and there is cabinet food available as well as off the menu. I have been here twice now since it recently opened. Once for breakfast and once for brunch. Both times were enjoyable experiences and I will be back again even though I do not live locally. Highly recommended.

Delicious food for a reasonable price. Coffee came a bit cold and one of the toasted bread was too hard to cut through, but they fixed it on request. Would visit again!

Taken here for dinner for husband's 75th birthday by daughter& son-in-law, with other fam members. Had a shared platter, mixture of prawns, lamb,squid rings, all sitting in their own crust with sauces and greens. Most ordered a different main served on amazing accompaniments, Sirloin Steak with trimmings, Pork belly with veggies.pan fried snapper with salad and roast potatoes, tasty,zesty yummy fish chowder ,beautifully cooked shoulder lamb in sauce and trimmings; food was absolutely delicious.And , we were so full, but the dessert looked so tempting, we ordered 3 and shared. Top marks for this Restaurant.

Easily the best food out west!! I’ve seriously considered moving out of West Auckland due to the lack of good quality restaurants however I have found this Gem, Two good guys and have already eaten there two times this week, slowly making my way through their menu of perfection! I contemplated not writing this so that I can keep them all to myself, however I do not want to risk losing a access to their great food, excellent service, and romantic atmosphere if they weren’t to have enough customers to keep business going and stay open. Lastly, I note the don’t close at 3pm like most cafes and they do dinner so if I had it my way it would be the only place I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. Anyone who says anything bad about them is a wanna be Gordon Ramsey yelp reviewer and is talking out their backside. 1# place in West, hands down, I’d put money on it.

Finally decadent eatery in Glen Eden! Absolutely AMAZING service and food made by a chef who have passion for great food. Beautiful courtyard with massive tree and wall covered with greenery. Tranquil. Highly recommend visiting this place.

What a find! Happened across this awesome Café whilst waiting for the mechanic next door to work their magic....and the perfect spot to wait! Lovely decor, indoor and outdoor seating and they have outdoor heaters! Excellent. Good food and drinks menu, and alcohol. Clean and tidy, great vibe. I ordered the Fish and Chips, mochachino and a latte. Drinks were both yum. But the Fish and Trips were really delicious! And I'm very selective and have had very very good fish and chips so the bar is already high. But the peice of fish was massive, the batter was crispy and light and not overcooked...yum chips and the coleslaw with edamame beans and just the perfect amount of dressing....Well done team. Will definitely return. Keep up the good work!

Amazing!! Ordered a Lamb Shoulder, pork belly Bao Buns and the Mediterranean salad. Everything about my meal was on point and left me super satisfied with my choices. Will definitely be eating here again!
