There is a genuine sense of customer service excellence. Customers were addressed by name and those who waited seemed patient with the knowledge that they would be served with the same care as those being served at the time. The atmosphere is homely and the decor beautifully executed. I heard it was owned by a fellow South African and I felt right at home here.

The coolest cafe with so much vegan option. We found this gem on our last day of our holiday so we ordered everything - VG pie, breakfast wrap, banana walnut loaf. So delicious, full of flavour and beautiful coffee. Lovely staff.

Best sausage roll I've ever had! (Pork and fennel, gourmet delight!). Also delicious healthy salads with roast veg etc and amazing looking meat selections in the cabinet. Grab some yummy healthy takeaways and a smooth coffee to enjoy on the coast.

Great food and excellent Allpress coffee, but expensive so this place didn't rate 5 stars. Food is really different, even the amazing cheese scones are full of seeds. The amazing cheese scones are also an amazingly eye watering price $nz7.50. Was it worth it? Hmm not sure. The decor is tired and the cups and plates are paper. Off street parking out the back

Timbuktu is my favourite place on waiheke! Wow does this place knows how to do food! So many options, so much real food! It's nice to be a vegetarian/vegan and have a go to for quick food and tasty coffee! Staff are always really lovely too! Shout out to Willow for always recommending the most tasty vegan treat to me when I see you! Their Pies are literally amazing, my boyfriend loves the 'not' chicken curry one and my favourite is the vegan steak and mushroom, nom! We Can also recommend the raw salads and vegan lasagne and Chilli! If you're feeling like treating yourself you have to try the vegan chocolate cup cake! You won't believe it's vegan! You must try this place!

This place was such a lifesaver during our time on Waiheke. Having multiple dietary requirements can be stressful while holidaying but this gorgeous cafe kept us fed every day (sometimes twice a day) during our time on Waiheke! Always hot or cold vegan options available as well as copious gluten free sweets & meals. I highly recommend everyone stops here! Also the only shop I came across which offered more than just cow or soy milk for coffee :)

Had no idea this place served such awesome vegan food as we didn't find it in the guide books or the web directories we used, and just happened to pop in as we drove past! Very happy we did - great selection of vegan options including salads, snacks, sweet treats, ice creams and other goodies, including frozen meals and take-away dinners too. Lovely atmosphere and the owner was super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Mouthwatering vegan options! The lasagne, stuffed eggplant and chilli are absolutely delicious. As well as their chickpea salad and fennel salad. They do superb coffee too. A must visit on waiheke island!

We tried the heat and eat meals for the first time! It was fresh and so delicious! Will certainly have more dinners from here as this also is a huge plus for commuters who get back to the island tired and too tired to cook for the family! Would highly recommend them.

Best coffee in Waiheke easily and consistently (not that we're in as short supply as Auckland!). Fantastic personal service. Beautiful place with easy parking. Have never tasted anything from here I wasn't impressed with! Thanks for catering to people with alternative diets too! Love love love!!!

Had an amazing atmosphere and interior designs. Felt it was more concentrated to a “vegan-style” cafe. Had very clean toilets and friendly staff. Coffee was delicious and their egg plant sausage rolls tasted good. Had allocated parking for their customers but also has off road parking near by.
