Review Brew On Quay - Auckland

Steve Ingalsbe
We went here at 6pm on a Thursday in November and it was busy but tables were available. They have a large space with 2 floors plus outside tables. The drink menu is extensive with many beer choices plus wine and cocktails. The food menu is small but varied. We ordered a pasty and a cheeseburger. The burger was cooked well done and came with mustard and mayo. There was ketchup on the side but I needed more for my fries. The French fries were like short steak fries but they were crispy and hot.

I have the big deck energy and my partner had an espresso martini. Everything was very good. We had the fries and calamari and both were good.
Vicki
Great location and vibe. A large group of us went for dinner and they coped well. While the beer Iist is impressive and my IPA was tasty, I highly recommend the food. Everyone at our table was impressed and I found the steak and cheese pie of the day with parsley mash truely scrumptious. I would go back just for that, and another IPA of course.

I came into this 11.am, opening bar to wash down the big breakfast I had at a restaurant on the viaduct. It was quiet, only 1 other patron, reading the morning news and racing guide. There's a great selection of boutique beers on tap, but I was hoping for something more local like Lion Red or DB Bitter. Back in the day, I'm talking 70's & 80's. These were the brands. I settled for a pint of Pale Ale. Nice drop coz I had a second before I left. Definitely recommend a stopover for a quick 1 or 2.đź‘Ť

The Lamb shank was amazing! The softness and juiciness of the meat, woven with a rich flavor of lamb really hit home! We also got the Angus Scotch and a side of French fries, which were more than enough to make my friend and I full. The scotch was cooked perfectly to medium-rare as requested, and the parmesan topped on the French fries really added an extra layer of fancy to the side dish. Great vibes and lots of rustic, comfy decorations on the walls as well. Would recommend!

We came for a farewell party. We booked on of the rooms on the ground floor. They also do have a restaurant with seating on the other end of the building. The bar has a large selection of alcohol and they also have an interesting selection of food. It was a nice place to socialise but can get quite loud.

I was looking for a nice place to have a few drinks on a Friday night in Auckland CBD and I hit gold. There was a live band on Friday evening and I enjoyed it so much just having a few drinks and listening to the music. The band was very good! The staff and I think the owner were very friendly and tried to help me choose some beers. Had a fun night, I would recommend!

The setting is nice and overall good, I love the chicken salad bowl
Corey Dick
Great quality food and the cocktails are amazing awesome service.
Megan Aldridge
I had the chicken schnitzel and my partner had the pork belly sando-both divine! Drinks were good and the service was awesome! Atmosphere was pretty loud and busy but it was a Saturday night in Auckland so that’s probably what you’d expect! Would definitely recommend a visit, maybe for lunch if you prefer it a little quieter but overall it was awesome!
Jonathan Rice
Easily the best pub in Britomart and arguably the best craft beer pub in all of Auckland. Great service, quality food served quickly, even the $10 lunch menu doesn't disappoint. Oh, and they also have the best range of craft beers from NZ and overseas too.
Tom Ciccateri
Standing bar with a variety of craft beers on tap and in bottles. Rotation cask in beer engine. Low and tall tables on ground floor. Cocered patio upstairs dominated by tobacco smokers. Friendly staff and regulars. Mexican Nachos are unrecognizable. A very relaxing place to enjoy good beers.
Antti Valtteri Lumo
Really good selection of good NZ bottled beer and also quite good beers on tap. The foods that we tried were nicely done and the place has really nice overall feel to it. Highly recommended for good food and beer if you are at Britomart.

Came here for my 21st last week and it was amazing, great staff who were great at recommending beers and managed everything so well. Would highly recommend for a function or even just a proper sized pint!!

Had my 40th birthday party at their rooftop area! From start to finish BOQ were absolute professionals and so helpful and accommodating! If I could give 10 stars I would! Special mention to Jack our bar tender whom was soooo busy but kept friendly and fun the whole evening! My friends loved the space, the food platters were delicious, chips and wedges went down a treat too! The sound system is amazing I had a playlist and photo slide show which went seamless! Thanks BOQ for making my party epic!! I know others will book you guys too!!

We stumbled across this place by accident on our last night in Auckland. Amazing food! And the staff.... we only had to look like we needed something and someone was right there. Can’t recommend enough.
Paul Mullings
First visit last Friday and what an excellent place it turned out to be. Friendly knowledgeable staff, great choice of beers and a proper pint too!

Cool place to have a beer and a meal. The Jalapeño poppers made me sweat , was worth it though!

The food was so good! I had the meat pie and the fish and chips! We came back a second time it was sooooo good! The people are so helpful too. If I ever come back here I will eat there again.

great place for a get together, great atmosphere, awesome music, and very friendly staff, love it there,
Richard Bond
Awesome pub, warm atmosphere, friendly staff and get this, more than 120 different beers to choose from . Lots of local brews available and also yummy food to go with it. Really enjoyed coming here .

A good pub to meet in, quiet on a Sunday afternoon with plenty of seating inside and out. They offer good food, best chips I've had in Auckland though maybe not as generous as they could be with the more expensive ingredients like cheese on the salad. Beer was we'll served and kept and available as a beer tasting selection with 5 times 150ml (approx) for $23 but a disappointing selection; of the 8 draft beers available on Sunday, 6 of them were ipa or pale ale, so all very hoppy, and the other two were commercialy mass-produced.
Ruth Leslie Bonniface
We had a lovely dinner there. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel welcome. The food was well priced and tasty. The noise level was perfect too
Charlie Picken
Was awesome place for a fancy meal. Expensive but great beer and wonderful spot to eat outside
Bella Qian
Their beer and cider list is WOW. Here there really is something for everyone and you'll find a lot of not commonly offered brands. Food isnt anything fancy but pairs well with the beer and the vibes. Gets busy.

My friend and I came here for lunch using first table.<br/> <br/>Given that we already knew what we wanted, we placed our order. The waitress was extremely honest and told us that we may have ordered a bit too much, however I was hopeful we would finish everything (we didn’t…).<br/> <br/>We ordered the brew buffalo wings and seasoned wedges. The buffalo wings had plenty of sauce and were great, however it could have been a bit more spicier. The seasoned wedges were excellent, you can’t go wrong with melted cheese, bacon and sour cream.<br/> <br/>For our mains we ordered the fish & chips and the creamy truffled chicken & corn pie. Again, it is very hard to go wrong with fish & chips, brew on quay knew what they were doing and didn’t disappoint us on the standard fish and chips. However, the pie was extremely flaky. Yes, the description said flaky pastry but I struggled to eat the pie and the pastry in one spoon. A lot of the pie was unfortunately wasted due to the flaky pastry crumbling everywhere. The filling was delicious but the mash was uncomfortably dry and tasteless.<br/> <br/>We came in with the intention of ordering a sticky date pudding for dessert, we decided against it because we were on the verge of bursting after our large consumption.<br/> <br/>The service was extremely friendly. They let us takeaway the leftovers, this isn’t common with first table.<br/> <br/>We will definitely be back to try their desserts and potentially order another side of seasoned wedges.

Lovely place and flavourful dishes, but can get too noisy in particular on Friday nights. Staff are very attentive and checks on customers from time to time which is not really expected for a pub but a good addition to taking care of customers. Best to book a table if you are to dine her during Fri-Sat.

Ambience and staff: 4 on 5<br/>I was here on a Saturday evening, around 5pm. Eventually around 7:30 it got quite busy, cuz all the tables seemed filled. They have live music on Friday and Saturday from 8:30pm. So that’s why it was getting crowded I guess, they were setting up the place. The staff was very courteous! They are very kind and generous. I did have a little delay with the food. But it was worth the wait. And they were kind enough to inform us that initially! Also, The band was really good and was playing classic music!<br/><br/><br/>Food: 4.5 on 5<br/><br/>I ordered the veg nachos, seasoned wedges and the Brew Buffalo Wings. They were finger licking good. You know the food is really good when you are actually enjoying it on your fingers too! They were quite filling for two/three pax!<br/><br/>The beer I had was a bottled Tuatara weizguy hefeweizen! It is very smooth and one of the beers I usually prefer! Taste is very soothing! Not very strong! <br/><br/><br/>Would definitely recommend it!
Lisa
Food: Delicious buffalo wings. Nachos did not have a crunch to it. <br/><br/>Atmosphere/Interior: Wooden throughout. Unique.<br/><br/>Service: Friendly<br/><br/>Parking: Not much to comment. Walked after work.

Went to Brew on Quay last night, a busy night for the bar with Aroha Nui on.  The Angus Beef and Chicken and Corn pies were fantastic and the staff friendly and efficient.  Great place to meet friends!
Raymond Tiong
I went to Brew on a Friday night (8pm?) earlier this year with a group of friends and was surprised that it wasn’t packed at all. While it was quite loud by the bar because the live band was right next to it, there’s tabled seating further down where it’s quieter – and even a function room upstairs for stag and hen parties.<br/><br/>Service was friendly, but I was a bit surprised that they don’t do cocktails and got a gin and tonic instead. For food, our group of 7 shared wedges (perfect), nachos (which got soggy quickly) and tasty buffalo wings (which came with two sauces).<br/><br/>Brew is a nice downtown spot to start the night off with a small group.
Authenticity
Good pub atmosphere and the Pie & Pint did not disappoint me. The usual saltiness of the pie mixed with pale ale are superb combination. The staff are friendly and do care how customer think about the food and experience. Would come back again to try another dish.
Julia Louise
Friendly and attentive staff and a number of options for gluten free needs. We thought the food was a little overpriced for the quality but it wasn’t bad.
Samitches
Unexpectletly went here as peaches chicken had sold out at the near by street food market. We had the pork snitzel sandwich and the chicken burger and it was soooo good. Fantastic flavors from the sauces ect, great fries and we thought a pretty decent price for value for money! We were very pleasantly surprised and will be back. Yes the wine may be a little pricey for size but its prime location
Eric Anderson
Not a fan of most of the beers on tap, and the food was typical pub food. Very noisy when busy. Funky interior and worth a visit. If sweet beer, greasy pub food and a chattery atmosphere is your thing, I’d say check it out.
Jay Mac
13.50$ for a frickin sip of wine. see pic attached. yep folks that all i got. pathetic. disappointing. ruined night. day light robbery. criminal. sociopathic.

The platter consists of onion rings, crisscut fries, hotdogs, buffalo wings, chips, battered capsicum and dips. They were all crunchy and crispy. A good venue for work-do catch up.
Allan Danbrook
First time patron for a work farewell, a few drinks and a meal.  I ordered the ribs and these were dry and bland.  My wife had the shank and that too was quite bland, certainly lacking decent seasoning during cooking; the sauce was bland!  One of the other diners in our group had to return his pie as it was cold.  Service too was shocking actually, with the a glass of white wine half full snatched away when she brought our red wine; and at the price - horrific!<br/><br/>Possibly we had a bad night, but unlikely I will ever find out!
Sehaj Mehra
You wouldn't have come across with so many varieties of alcohol anywhere else. The place will give you beer orgasm and one of the best brewed beers I have ever had. A place to get drunk while eating good food on a Friday night.
Glenn Town
We had a quick bite and a few ales here on Friday night on the way to a Jimmy Barnes gig at Spark Arena<br/>The beer choices were excellent<br/>I enjoyed the Emerson's Pilsner on tap<br/>The food was fast and good<br/>I had the Chicken Corn and Mushroom Pie with Cheddar Mash and Peas<br/>Very good quality<br/>My wife had the Wedges which were spot on with grilled cheese salsa sour cream and bacon<br/>And not too thick as they often are<br/>Good friendly and efficient staff also<br/>Ideal place on your way to Spark (or elsewhere)
Samuel Kim
Went there for lunch with friends. We ordered 3 steaks. Steaks were cooked perfectly, Customer service was friendly and nice. Definetely recommend this place and would go there again
Medium_Rare
A nice drinks location near Britomart had a friend visit from Wellington so wanted to catch up without being too far from the train station. Not surprised at all at how lively Brew Bar was and the liveliness of the place really allows you to feel the chill and relaxing vibe. <br/><br/>Drinks were standardly priced and to be honest not much else to say but a neat spot for some post-work drinks.<br/><br/>Showstopper: Lively Spot<br/><br/>Overall Grade: B+
Marisha Haasbroek
Loved everything about this place. The food was really amazing and they have a huge range of beers on tap and craft beers. The people that work there where all amazing!
The City Lane
Brew On Quay is one of the more grand looking craft beer spots in Auckland, housed in a 1903 building that was once home to the head office of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company (that’s Chelsea Sugar these days).
Todd
Great bar for all times. after work drinks? tick. late Friday or Saturday night? tick. Sunday afternoon pub lunch? tick. <br/><br/>an extremely wide selection of bottled beer and a good range on tap as well. <br/><br/>The food is above average pub food as well
Nadine Nee
Went there with our two kids and they had no high chairs. The food wasn't anything to rave about either. Buffalow wings were way too spicy couldn't even eat them. Wouldn't go back there
S&G Take Auckland
I have to rewrite and re score this place. Came here tonight to have the sirloin $29. Absolute beaut. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, we asked to swap the potato for fries which they let us ! Great veges on the side, asparagus and cauliflower and to top it all an excellent Bernaise (go a little easy on the salt next time ) the waiter was a lovely guy who got me an extra pottle of Bernaise and ghaz an extra aioli at no charge . We will definitely be back !

Nice and spacious restaurant and bar - they have limited upstairs seating and downstairs with rooms for lathers groups. A game is usually on with tv screens scattered around the restaurant.<br/><br/>Plenty of food options - can have individual meals, or get a sharing platter. We got a sharing platter where you choose the five items you want on it. We got poutine fries, tempura prawns, paella aracini, Mexican style ceviche, and calamari.<br/><br/>We actually ordered different items to what we got, but they still tasting delicious - favourites were the tempura prawns and calamari.<br/><br/>They also have wide selection of drinks available. We tried the Hopfbrauhaus beer, and an assorted beer paddle. The veer paddle is good portions to drink by yourself if you want or share with others. You can pick your own five from the menu or ask them to create one for you.<br/><br/>Overall pricing is reasonably good in a group - think our group of four paid about 20-25 each (we were given discount for wrong order), would like to go back and try the individual mains and other drinks.

Brew on quay is an unusual mix of old and new. I kinda like the confused interior. There's an outline of New Zealand on the wall leading upstairs filled with old beer cans & then on the other side of the bar there are large bookcases and old books.<br/>We ordered the sirloin steak, nachos, sichuan calamari, spicy wedges & almond balsamic chicken on the recommendation of our waitress.<br/>The steak was okay, nice potato gratin, though not much of it & miss 10 liked her nachos.<br/>The wedges were cooked perfectly, unfortunately not spicy at all, but came with plenty of sour cream & salsa. The salsa was pretty uninspired, but hey, it is part of the bar snacks menu.<br/>The calamari was cooked perfectly, but we didn't taste any sichuan pepper?<br/>The almond balsamic chicken was drowning in a white wine sauce, which was an unusual yellow colour & tasted cheesy. The chicken was dry and tasteless & the gnocchi was stodgy & again drowning in that awful sauce. I ate less than half the dish & I can't think of any other time I've done this. It was pretty bad. I'm just glad I had a voucher, so didn't pay full price for it.<br/>Please bear in mind I visited about a year ago, so they may have improved since then. However, I don't feel compelled to return and see after such a poor meal.<br/>

Came here one Sunday for a drink as hot/thirsty and as it was the quietest time of the day the place had a Eerie feel inside, a little bird told me building use to be the old wharf cop shop.<br/>Facade has been spruced up to look nice and the interior has been gutted and converted to look more like a bar than restaurant, just love coming to these old heritage buildings converted to bars or restaurants or both. Did not eat there as they more of a pub.

Decided to pop in here after I was really craving fish&chips. Ordered a cold Macs gold lager, fish n chips and the stuffed chicken breast with gnocchi.<br/>The fish n chips was lovely and crispy just how I like my fish n chips. The chicken breast was very moist which is always nice, the gnocchi was good too my only criticism is that there is a lot of sauce on it. I love sauce and I love lots of sauce but it was a little bit too much for me so I can only imagine what normal people would think of the amount of sauce. Overall the food was pretty good. Service was good. The only let down was that there were quite a lot of items on the menu that was unavailable.

Today was the final day of the conference I was attending and I was with a group of four people who wanted to have a casual dinner. There was one request to go to Brew On Quay because we had a beer enthusiast in the group who wanted to try some of the over 102 beers they had to choose from. I do not know beer very well but will join others in trying different brews if the occasion arises.

Nice place with a fancy menu for a pub. They have a really nice selection of beers both in bottles and on tap.<br/><br/>Came for a party and we had one of the rooms by the entrance. Because the rooms are not closed off it does get a bit loud.<br/><br/>Went with the pork belly for dinner. The sauce and pork was nice and had good flavours but the biggest disappointment was the skin. It was rubbery at best. That just made the dish hard to eat.<br/><br/>They however are one of the few places that send bar staff out to the rooms with eftpos terminals so you can order more drinks without having to go up to the bar.
Disha
Been there twice for work party, both the times we had booked the upper section. This place is all about beers and believe me all kinds. I had a hard time spotting the difference and I am a beer lover myself. They make really delicious mint mocktails and virgin mojitos which were surprisingly better than their cocktails like sangria. Their platters are hearty full of carbs like bread, potato etc, it also has cheese and lot of fried food which goes perfectly with heavy drinking to keep you on your toes. Didn't get a chance to order main dish maybe next time. I love the ambiance of this place and the washroom has a helpful lady who will retouch your makeup if required. This place was all about fun!

Brew on Quay is an awesome place to go if you want to try every beer under the sun. You have your beer menu in and hand and you can go to town on all of the different countries' brews. We had the fish and chips, sirloin steak and pork belly. The sirloin looked pretty damn good. The fish and chips was great but for the price they were definitely on the high side. Especially when places such as the ones on Vulture lane do it way cheaper and it's just as good (probably better).
Jordi Robertson-Bickers
"Epic burger". Do it.<br/><br/>Came here on their Grabone offer & was not disappointed. Staff are friendly, food came in a good time, & nice environment - nice cosy feel & not too noisy. Just about needed paramedics to extricate me from my seat in my food-comatose state.
Stevie Clutterbuck
Epic burger is definitely epic! Came here with my partner using a grab one voucher and was not disappointed! Good food, good service, definitely worth a visit!
Javier Yebenes
I visited this bar a few months ago with friends for a Thursday night's after work drink and the place was really busy and had a fun/professional atmosphere that made it interesting. It seemed like a great place to do some networking and the music and patrons gave some character to the venue, already well decorated and looked after.<br/><br/>The selection of beer is very extensive and there's something for everyone, doesn't matter what's your taste.<br/><br/>We never tried the food, we made an attempt to order some food but the bartender seemed to busy selling drinks to pay any attention to me and we left to a different place to have dinner but I would have loved to have something to eat there.<br/><br/>I will be back to try some of the food but I definitely recommend the bar for an after work drink.
Leon Smith
Have been here in the past along time ago , but thought I'd check it out again and use a grabone deal they had going on . Food was great however service was a little slow (eventually had to get up and go to the bar to usher someone over) other then that , everything was great
Miss Persistant
Good place to have a drink. Nice open space, if we hadn't booked elsewhere it would have been a good place to eat. Cosy and away from the city hustle. Nice staff and it was warm and cosy.
Mariajosemvw
Really nice place to drink a beer. They have different kinds from differents places. Perfect for an evening with friends and have a nice moment With them.
Tian Tian Zhang
Came here with a friends after getting a grabone voucher. Nicely located just away from the clutter of Britomart. We received good service and the food was pretty good. We went pretty early so we didn't get much of a bar vibe, but we enjoyed the atmosphere nonetheless.
Liz Foster
We popped in here on a whim while wandering the city on a lazy Sunday. The staff were friendly with great senses of humour particularly the fellow that seated us. We ordered the bacon cheese fries and were not disappointed - it was a great and filling snack for the pair of us. I was super stoked that you could order jugs of cider and at a reasonable price. The atmosphere was nice, the amenities clean and we will definitely be back to sample  the menu and soak up the atmosphere again. Lovely easy going place

If you like craft beer worth a visit. I cam here on a cold Friday in late May 2015 and was pleased to see and extensive craft beer list. I went went for the Tuatara APA which was served in a nice pint glass.<br/><br/>They look after their beer and offer good but basic food specials.

Had lunch here last Tuesday. Excellent service and food. I'll start with the service. I had my 15 month old with me and wanted to order the mash potato for her. I asked if it came with gravy and they said it didn't which was fine with us. The waiter then came back and said he spoke to the chef and he'll provide gravy for it. It was so good that my lil fussy eater ate it all. I like the fact that they have a room that seats 5 that has toys in it. Perfect for a family to dine in and keep the kids occupied. Also if you're a breastfeeding mum that's not too keen on breastfeeding in public (like me) their ladies room is really nice and has a chair where you could breastfeed. We brought our own portable highchair so never thought to ask if they had one. Now for the food. We had the fish of the day, the steak and the chicken parmigiana. Everything was really tasty. We will definitely be going back there again.

When working in the Britomart precinct this was another favourite after works drinks place. I had a birthday on the second level, which is perfect for booking out for functions as you have your own person bar. The staff are great and always happy to help with beverage selections or make drinks up for you. Great vibe and atmosphere.

Brew on Quay occupies an impressive old building on Quay Street opposite the Auckland docks. Inside it reminded me of an English style pub, and had many different beers on offer, both on tap and in bottles.

Have been here a few times now and their food is consistently just above average or good. Have had their fish and chips, great portion size, the fish is amazingly crispy!!! Pork belly that my friend had was good once, but undercooked and chewy the other. Hit and miss. But I will go backfor the variety of beers and the terrace garden.<br/><br/>Updating my review- had an extremely disappointing early March where we waited over 30 mins for our food when we were just about the only ones there. This time, I went with 4 friends- and the experience was very disappointing. The portion size of the fish and chips has been halved, the batter isnt as crispy and the tartare was tasteless! My friends felt the same about their smoked salmon salad (arrived without the egg mentioned on the menu) and butter chicken parmigiana. All in all, not coming back and would actively discourage people from going :-(

SMELLY FISH - Have been to Brew on Quay a for few times before and have never had any issues with them. Went there again with a group of colleagues for a work lunch and ordered Fish & Chips. I was truly disappointed by the food quality at that particular time. The fish was really fishy, and I could tell it had been marinated in some sort of alcohol (I guess they were trying to get rid of that fish smell, but acutally made it taste even worth), batter wasn't fully cooked, and chips tasted like those old chips just got heated in microwave. I couldn't even finish half of my food, and the waitress didn't even bother asking if everything is OK with my food or if I need to take away. When I was paying the bill at the counter, I noticed there was a lady on another table who ordered Fish & Chips as well, and she didn't touch her food much either. I didn't speak to the manager due to time constrain, but I do not think I will go back to that place ever again.
Busie Mlotshwa
I was really appalled by the service that was provided to my colleag...ues and I this afternoon when we went out for lunch!!!!! I ordered fish of the day and received the smallest, piddly fish and was charged $25 for it! My colleagues and I were mortified and when I raised my concerns about it, the manager did nothing and snubbed me. We have sworn never to step foot in that joint ever again!!! MY WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
Mira
grab one voucher $35 for two mains & two drinks ( My order : 250g steak & apple cider )<br/>service 4/5environment 4/5food 4/5cost performance 4/5drink 5/5I ordered a medium rare steak.  It's really what I want.  Well cooked, nice seasoning and souce ( dry tomatoes are good acccent.)I can eat half kiro of that !!I get drunk easily. I can't drink beer so I ordered cider.  It's a huge mug for me but I enjoyed it.
Manic Diner
We were at the Brew on Quay recently for an engagement party which was hosted upstairs.  Their platters were delicious but with over 50 partygoers, I really had to get on in there and managed to taste their empanadas and pork belly before they were gone :)  Yummy!  I was really impressed with the service, from their charming welsh bartender to the amazing bar staff and bouncers.  They were professional, efficient and attentive.  My sis & I later ordered the pulled pork sandwich and sticky date pudding.  The pulled pork sandwich that came with fries was okay, nothing to write home about.. but that sticky date pudding was absolutely delicious! I loved it and I'm craving it again as I type this.

The "Crispy Fried Squid" was so tender. Delicious herb salt, but not overly salty - just right for our tastes. Also, not greasy - quite a feat for a fried item! We loved it.<br/>Also tasty were the arancini balls.<br/>Washed down with yummy beer, and seated in a very cool historic wooden-partitioned room, with a view out to the port/water.<br/><br/>A very nice place for a bite to eat, a beer, and a feel-good catchup.<br/><br/>Also, a bonus feature of this place, are the very classy ladies loos, complete with carpeted powder room.
Jonessi
Friendly service and good beer. <br/>However the snacks were underwhelming. <br/>One (luke warm) bratwurst sausage was $11 and the buffalo wings were missing the "Louisiana hot butter sauce".<br/><br/>Not value for money.
Amee McKenzie
Been to this place twice. Great food (fish n chips) &amp; great atmosphere.
Kay Adams
Loved coming here for a couple of casual drinks and some awesome snacks. The menu is quite extensive for a place like this. We had some delicious calamari and chicken nibbles which had a massive kick to them! Staff had good knowledge on the beers and picked a couple of great boutique ones for us to try. Lovely place for drinks and snacks
Duncan Innes
I had the $10 lunch - Beef and Guinness pie- which was good value, plus the selection of beers is very good - Black Sheep and Epic Zythos in bottles for me. Friendly and speedy staff, but do get in early on a Friday lunchtime if you want to get a soft seat on the sofa, as the bar gets busy!
Wendy Brock
Ate at the Brew bar last week. Had been eating in restaurants for two weeks straight and found the food at The Brew Bar better than most. I ordered the Pork Loin and really enjoyed it. Good value for money - Will recommend and be back !! Thanks
Eric AndPam Alsop
Friendly staff, tasty food and not overpriced (for it's position across from the Cloud). Lovely toilets too! !
Mrspotandmrlid
Mr Lid and I popped in for a quick meal before a show at Vector a short walk down the road. <br/>What a weird space.. Lots of odd rooms decorated kinda modern gothic with a minimalist twist reusing old ugly pub furniture and some nice new spaces. Lucky this is a food review not a interior design site!!<br/>Service was very a tentative almost annoying with three different people asking for our order and checking on us constantly for our short stay- although it took two asks to get a water. <br/>The menu is pub grub the fish and chips was fresh and light the side salad of lettuce and onion was boring. We also shared some mighty tasty chicken nibbles with blue cheese dip they were moist, plump and tasty.<br/>This place would be awesome for a boys night with a huge selection of beers on tap and by the bottle.<br/>I know Mr Lid is dying to go back and sample a few more tasty wares.
