Review Everybody's - Auckland

This place is actually amazing! I've been here a few times and the food is always amazing and the staff are the best! Our waiter (think his name was Alif) tonight was so considerate and went above and beyond despite being super busy

So good. $6 beers during Happy Hour. Unheard of!!!! Really cool crew at the bar happy to chat different drinks etc. Thank you.

The food was really bland, was not too appealing. The service was great and the pizza made up for the score, the crunchy texture and the cheese made it extremely delicious. The platter wasn’t too good. The bruschetta was also another factor that pulled the score up, the cheese was delicious and the tomatoes were sweet.

Great food. Great ambiance. Great service. Landed there at happy hour and topped up on some Prosecco. Highly recommend their prawn toast and hempseed sourdough with mushroom butter.

Will absolutely be back! We ordered a few platters and drinks and all were delicious, would get the meat platter over the vege one but a good amount of food for the price. CJ and everyone on Thursday were absolutely brilliant and made our night. Cheers guys, we’ll see you again soon

We came by for drinks for graduation. Look for the sign on Fort Street and then head up the stairs. The outdoor area looked quite nice and the dining area was towards the back of the building. They did have a nice selection of drinks.

A great place to hang out with friends. Nice decor and atmosphere with really friendly service. The booths are comfortable for a small group with just enough privacy and table space to share a few small plates. The small plates larger than the usual tapas sizes and a great option to share between a few people. The scallops were perfectly cooked and so was the calamari which is not easy to do! The Peking duck actually has the flavours of ones you’ll find at a Chinese restaurant. Overall, great food. Highly recommended.

Came here for dinner. This has one of the best steaks around. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is great. My partner had the stuffed mushroom which was flavoured well. I had the rice dessert which was well presented and tasted well with delicate flavours. I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion.

Everybody's is a spacious place to hang out with reasonably nice ambience and a decent drinks list. Service is a bit slow and if you sit on the top level it can get very hot. It's also quite noisy (unless you like to listen to hard house at 5pm). But it's a solid option for after work drinks.

My girlfriend and I came in for dinner and a couple drinks and the food was delicious. We had the scallops and the pecking duck for starters and the sirloin seak and pork belly for mains. The pecking duck was super flavorsome, easily my favorite of the four dishes, so definitely get the duck.

$1 oysters for oyster happy hour and cheap drinks everyday. Easy to get a table on a Sunday afternoon, with great friendly service.
AHED ALMADI
Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Good price suits the meal. We had Moroccan Chicken breast with puffed wild rice salad and Pan Fried King Salmon. Both meals were good. Just wish if the chicken portion was bigger comparing to the salmon and steak portion. Also, the chicken was a bit hard as it was just defrost. Overall, we liked the place and will pay another visit for sure. 😊

Tucked away on Queen’s Street CBD, Everybody’s has an elegant and contemporary layout, the 2-storey restaurant gives you a choice of bar leaders, armchair, booth and outdoor seatings.<br/><br/>We started with the Pan Seared Scallops, the scallops were huge, cooked to the right tenderness and very juicy. <br/><br/>The Awhi Farms Sirloin was well seasoned and cooked, the meat was lean but still very tender.<br/><br/>My friend said the Crispy Pork Belly was yummy as well. Crunchy on the skin but the pork melts inside your mouth.<br/><br/>We were serviced by a very friendly waiter. Reasonably quick to serve. Attention to detail could be improved slightly. All dishes were well portioned, excellent money for value, especially with the zomato discounts.<br/><br/>Would definitely be keen to visit again.<br/><br/>Taste: 9.5/10<br/>Presentation: 8/10<br/>Service: 8/10<br/>Ambience: 10/10<br/>Value for money: 9.5/10<br/><br/>Price $50 per person (excl alcohol)

The service here is absolutely amazing! Super friendly and helpful staff. Their cocktails are superb, my fav is their ginger&pear margarita. Calamari was amazing! Friday night well spent 🥰 will definitely come back to try more!

Had a fabulous time here getting dinner with a few friends on a Saturday night. The place is so nicely set up making you feel warm and cosy even when it may be freezing outside. It's very spacious which allows you privacy with you and your bubble. A top contender for a night out (whether for drinks or food).<br/><br/>We ordered the gnocchi, salmon, calamari and kumara sourdough to share (also ordered but I didn't have any of the pork belly and steak). The kumara hummus on sourdough was lovely - crispy bread that's not too hard to chew topped with hummus that's has the perfect blend of flavours and the hint of sweetness from the kumara. Also a special mention to the gnocchi which came with a generous amount of veggies (yum!), all of which were so full of flavour and had their natural taste brought out somehow!<br/><br/>The service was brilliant! The food arrived promptly and the lady who took care of our table was so lovely! She was patient with our group (had to wait a while because we had a biig group) and attended to our requests efficiently. Our water was refilled plenty of times throughout our time, which is something I appreciated. <br/><br/>Service: 10/10<br/>Ambiance: 10/10<br/>Food: 8/10<br/>

Great food, great atmosphere and the service was immaculate. One for one with Zomato Gold makes this place an absolute must-visit.

i've been to everybodys many times and it never fails. Any dish you get or any drink you get is SO YUM!<br/>Staff are also very friendly and nice. <br/>got there when happy hour was happening and i didnt have to wait in line for drinks :)<br/><br/>thanks!

Consistently great service and food

Tokyo fried chicken was definitely the highlight of this Everybody Board, in fact, the most impressive dish of the night! I can still vividly remember how crispy, tender & flavourful it was despite having this awhile back! V recommend!——————————————————⁣⁣⁣⁣<br/>Taste: 4.5/5 • Interior: 5/5 • Service: 5/5⁣⁣⁣⁣

We ordered pan fried salmon and moroccan chicken breast. The food taste really good and price is reasonable. Friendly and helpful staff. I love the ambience. Would love to visit this place again.
Renie
We ordered the Gnocchi and Moroccan Chicken Breast. Really loved the food - especially the Gnocchi! Would definitely recommend. It was packed with people and it was sometimes difficult to get the attention of a waiter but overall good and would return!

It was such a great ambience with the live band - the waiters were also very attentive and friendly. In addition, the food was delicious - the brocollini on my steak was just crunchy and full of flavour, while the gravy complemented the steak and potato mash very well. The one feedback I would give is that medium rare came out to be medium done - but could be a one-off - other than that, very happy with the whole experience. In addition, they are true to their Zomato obligations which is a great plus!

Just had our firm's annual function there. James is very nice to deal with and extremely helpful. Food was beyond our expectation and reasonably priced. Everyone from my table loved what they ordered. Will definitely come back. A big thank you to James and the team.

A good place for a romantic night out! Loving the vibes and food!!! Crispy pork belly is beyond heavenly!!! Will definitely go back again!! And they even have happy hour for beer and wine from 5-7pm!!

Great quality food and service. Steak was really tender. Highly suggest that you make a booking before your visit.

I went to this place around 6 p.m. on Tuesday with a group of friends.<br/><br/>Atmosphere: 3/4<br/>Spacious area, however tight sitting arrangements. The place was a bit hard to find as well.<br/><br/>Food: 4/4<br/>Had bit of beef and chicken burgers ($20-$21), which came with fries. They were really good. Loved the buns.<br/><br/>Service: 3/4<br/>Friendly service, just a bit hard to get hold of anyone though.<br/><br/>Cost: 3/4<br/>Affordable price for nice fancy burgers, however only for people who enjoy nice dine in burgers.
Live2Eat
Awesome experience. Top quality food made with fresh ingredients. Their Gnocchi is not your average one, a really different flavor and texture profile. So good with almonds and vegetables. The morrocan chicken is great and loved the wild rice that was served along with it.<br/><br/>Would highly recommend and can't wait to try their pecking duck

Everybodys is a delightful and classy place for after work drinks, catching up with the boys, or for date night. The menu options are straight forward and the drink selection is reasonable. The real reason you go is the discrete but vibrant atmosphere. It is a bit on the pricy side, but you can't get class without cash. Service is top notch of course.
Claire
Had an amazing time. <br/><br/>The restaurant was spacious and tastefully decorated. Considering how fancy it looks like, the prices on the menu wasn't bad at all. Service was also very attentive.<br/><br/>Importantly, the food was very good, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. The Tokyo chicken has a unique and wonderful flavour (probably miso and ponzu?). The calamari was very well cooked, it's almost as soft as butter and probably the most tender calamari I've ever had. The coriander vinaigrette that came with it seemed a little bit odd at first but actually paired really well with the calamari. One thing perhaps is that calamari could be a little crispier on the outside but overall, really good. The Moroccan chicken breast was cooked very well too-- tasty, juicy and super tender. Finally, the steak with broccolini, truffle mash and jus. I thought I didn't like mash much, but I couldn't stop eating that big portion of mash! Also, that broccoli had a unique smoky taste, if I had any complaints about it, it would be that I wanted more of it because it's so good! Steak cooked well and red wine jus paired very well too.<br/><br/>Amazing food, great ambiance and good service at reasonable prices, will definitely come back.

Group of 4 of us dined here with First Table which was great value for money! Got lots of small plates for everyone to share. Would definitely eat here again

A beautiful place hidden in the middle of the city which can be quite hard to find but makes up for it all by the beauty and layout of this venue once you find it. We attended a friends wedding here 3 weeks ago, turned up late to be sworn at by the manager as he said he knows everyone at the wedding and that we were to get the F... OUT without even hearing us out. as soon as our friend/ who was the best man told him we were invited he tried offering us drinks by running around behind the bar. We instead took a few company cards from the barman (who later said he isnt a manager, he likes to play pretend) to lay a complaint about him, so here we are. Moral of the story, dont be late to a wedding managed by someone who looks like they dont want to be there / ned flanders

I've been to Everybody's a few times now; they hosted our Christmas function a couple of years back which they did pretty well. And my partner and I have eaten dinner there a couple of times since - most recently over the weekend. We were impressed with the service considering how busy they were. The food is always nice and it has a lovely atmosphere about it. I'd recommend a visit if you're looking for a nice night out :)

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere. Thanks for accommodating my bday festivity!

My boyfriend and I came here to Everybody’s for dinner during CBD restaurant month. We had not made a reservation but the waitress quickly seated us at one of their booths. For $55, I got the lamb croquette, sirloin steak medium rare and the baileys crème brûlée and my boyfriend got the Tokyo fried chicken, sirloin steak medium rare and the Belgium chocolate fondant. The waitress was absolutely lovely! She was kind and you could tell she really love her job :) when our entrees were served, another waitress was kind enough to give us smaller share plates so we can try each other’s entree. <br/><br/>The Tokyo fried chicken was so juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, absolutely delicious. The lamb croquette was also really good, so crispy on the outside. The sirloin steak however was definitely the highlight of the night, the steak was cooked to perfection with a lot of mashed potatoes on the side. The only thing I didn’t really like was the fact they put salt directly on top of the broccolini which made it really salty when I took a bite. However, overall, this dish definitely made my night. The dessert was delicious, you could definitely taste the alcohol in the crème brûlée and it was torched to perfection. My boyfriend’s fondant’s flavour was spot on.<br/><br/>I’d definitely recommend Everybody’s. It also has Zomato gold (1+1 food) so I will definitely come back at another time!
Brandon Huang
Very delicious meal! The sirloin was hella tender, but a little bit under seasoned. The tenderstem broccoli was actually so good too. Fried chicken was a standout - super super tender and tasty, no complaints at all. Salmon was crispy skinned and perfectly cooked, but overall the dish didn’t blow me away. Finally, the beef cheeks - super tender, but I would have liked a little bit more acidity to the sauce.<br/>Overall, great meal, few complaints, a little bit loud, but would definitely come back!

Steak and moroccan chicken was absolutely amazing!! Staff was a little bit inattentive when we arrived. Not too much complain about service after we sit down. Burger is also delicious

Had a GREAT experience dining at this restaurant. The restaurant’s design is very modern, cool and comfortable enough to enjoy a good meal. The menu selection is excellent - good vast range of dishes to choose from. :)

In love with this place!!! The atmosfera was wonderful with candle lights and dancing music in the background, food was impeccable and the service was attentive and friendly!

Very cool design restaurant/pub. It’s very dark in the restaurant we can barely see our food. <br/>It’s a Friday night we decided to check out this place and it happened to be live music there, great vibe ! <br/>We ordered the pork belly and sirloin, both plates on a small wooden board, quality of food and drink are great, very satisfied after the meal. <br/>
Nathalie
This place is pretty cool and reminded me a lot of places in Melbourne. The service is awesome and the staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. The ambiance is dimmed and very romantic but also a great place for special events or catch up. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating and the two flows nicely together. Food wise is great too, we had the seafood board (lots of choices and not over cooked), lamb, fried chicken (pretty average), calamari and sirloin (cooked well) and they were all pretty good, however the flavours are subtle and just slightly above average and better than Pub food I guess....They’ve got Good selections of drinks! Overall will definitely be back as I love the ambiance and the food although it’s slightly above average the ambiance and service is great!
DayToy825
The red wine sauce with the steak was very tasty. To be honest, the chicken breast tasted a little bit like KFC original chicken 😂 but still good. Used Zomato Gold which is very convenient. Recommend this place, worth to try. The decor and the vibes are great!
Serena Low
Always good vibes at Everybody's.<br/><br/>I got the crispy chicken burger, which is their cheapest option on the menu that wasn't a "small plate". Chips were cooked to perfection, aioli was a bit too oily but still delicious. Burger was good but hard to eat cos it was so tall - I took out the onion rings and ate them separately. I'm always a fan of brioche buns so that was a nice touch. I also tried a bite of the beef cheeks and that was deliciously tender.<br/><br/>Food took quite a while to come out and only half of my friends order arrived, but overall the experience was good.
Lala
Great coffee and amazing chai latte! Love going here with friends and colleague. It's very cozy and warm in the winter. Perfect for a date or just catching up.

Went here on the Zomato Gold experience and highly recommend. The pork ribs are incredible. We got 2 burgers and the fries came skin-on shoelace which I rated. The burgers were better than average. Overall, a very good place to eat.

This place is literally hidden you gotta climb some weird windy stairs to get here but its defs worth it. Came here with my work mates on a Wednesday night and it was packing!<br/><br/>Really loved the vibes here, decent music and decor pretty good its surprisingly a big place.<br/><br/>Service was really really good, we were seated straight away and the waiter was very helpful and patient. (Big group)<br/>The food was AMAZING! I had the beef burger and man was it absolutely delicious. And one of my workmates had the chicken burger (2nd pic) was really good too<br/>Overall this place deserves the 5 stars. I will definitely come here again probably just for drinks too<br/>Only issue, the lighting in this place is pretty bad. Just a suggestion maybe get some better lights haha but nah overall love this place. Top notch

Delicous food, fast service, friendly staff. My friend and I both enjoyed our meals. Would come back again to try other menu options. Thank you

Came here and used Zomato Gold on a Friday night and they were busy as heck.<br/><br/>We got Beef Cheeks, Salmon, Steak, and Lamb Salad. <br/>Overall, Salmon and Salad were done well. Beautifully cooked salmon and pumpkin/carrot purée was a delight! Candied walnuts in the Salad was really uplifting for me, and the lamb was cooked to perfection. <br/><br/>As for the steak, not quite sure about the presentation of the potato mash...but steak itself was cooked nicely. Lacked seasoning though. <br/><br/>I had high hopes for Beef Cheeks but they were dry, tough and lacked flavour. <br/><br/>Music is too loud for diners. Lighting is too dark. Attentive service though. <br/><br/>Food: 7/10<br/>Price: 8/10<br/>Service: 9/10<br/>Ambience: 7/10

My second time here, first was when I had their 7 plate set menu which wasn't too good about 5 years ago.<br/>Ever since they have redeemed themselves with their quality of food.<br/>.<br/>The salmon was the best cooked one I have had, it's was moist and flakey 🤤 and it seems the quantity is quite consistent. However the flavours were not to my particular taste buds it was very "white"- creamy and thick as opposed to "asian"- tancy and thinner 😅<br/>.<br/>The sirloin was cooked well to middle rare but the truffle mash was the true star with lots of truffle flavour. .<br/>The shoestring fries was the best I have had too. Thin and crispy, imagine premium McD fries.
Sharon Ngai
Food was nice, and amazing venue. However it was definitely a bit on the pricey side. The meals weren’t filling. Had to go to McDonald’s afterwards 😂

Was blown away during my first visit - though it wasn't an easy place to find, it's definitely worth finding your way to this gem. Thanks to Zomato Gold we had the steaks that were deliciously chargrilled and came with the most amazing truffle mash I've ever had. The mash was soft and creamy and the strong taste of truffle had me stuffing my face with more! The shoestring fries were also delicious - super big bowl! The environment is a wee bit dark but the decor and seating is comfortable and classy. They were also super friendly always down for a good chat and the food was amazing.<br/><br/>Food 8/10<br/>Service 8/10<br/>Ambience 7/10<br/>Price 6.5/10

We were here for food ,3 of us order steak -salmon and beef cheek .thought it will be great steak but it was not .the mash potatoes was display very ugly on the dish with too much portion of it.salmon was raw inside .plus staff was not really friendly at all .
Nadine
Great service and good vibes !! Food was good - I had gnocchi and my partner had the steak.Gnocchi was clearly handmade, however sauce wasn't hugely flavorful. Truffle mash was the highlight! Overall, a great dinner experience.
Ming Zhang
Can't believe there's such a decent quiet garden attic there at the heart of the city. I like the environment as well as the food. Gonna be there more often.
Jacynda Darmawan
Food 5/5<br/>Ambiance 5/5<br/>Service 5/5<br/><br/>The Tokyo fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The aioli worked as a perfect dip!<br/><br/>The crispy pork belly trully had crispy and salty skin. It was crunchy and not tough! The meat was tender. The fat was....gosh, it was such a guilty pleasure. The apple sauce complements the meaty flavor of the pork incredibly well. There were some pickled apples. They were quite strong by themselves, but fine if you have it with the meat. The lentils were soft and light.<br/><br/>I absolutely loved the food! Plus, I came during happy hour. I had a $6 prosecco and a $6 pinot gris. Couldn't get any better.

The bar area gets busy after work even on weekdays. We went in for dinner, there was a bit of wait before we could be seated. The food was good and large in size. I ordered the crispy pork belly which comes out on a wooden board with lentils, and my friend got a large plate of salmon and veges. We also ordered a side of fries and I chose the chunky fries. They were the most thickest fries I’ve ever eaten. Atmosphere of the dining area and the bar area is different, the dining area is darker and more cozy which would be a great place for a date.
Chris L
I eat out a lot and I can tell you they do best food (of course considering the price range) in its class. Guys were attentive and the food was just right. Not too salty not too sweet. Perfect for my tasting!
Lucyeatsakld
Really enjoyed my time here, came with 3 others for a quick bite before a show and couldn't fault the food! We got the meat platter, beef cheeks, salmon and seasonal veges to share and everything was delicious. Beef cheeks were really soft and came with a flavoursome jus and buttery mash. It was the perfect amount of food for 4. Service was efficient and friendly.

Nice place for a romantic dinner date with your partner. Tucked in an old building and the entrance can be found from both Fort Lane & Queen st. Not many people can expect such a gem like this restaurant. I'm in love with the interior design and ambience of this place straight away after entering. However, the most amazing part is the food. Everything is just perfectly amazing. The steak, the salmon, the ribs, and even the garden salad - I enjoyed them all. It's also a good deal if you have Zomato Gold :) Will definitely come back!
#fatlyfe
Came here for dinner. Ordered the pork belly as well as the sirloin.<br/>Both meats were juicy the crackling could have been crispier it didn’t have that sound you normally hear from tapping it. The truffle mash- could definitely taste the truffle in it, the two broccoli could have been done without. The pork came with a purée and come sort of lentils which I quite enjoyed and when paired together was quite nice. The waitress was friendly and very attentive, maybe a little to much I felt like she might have had sales targets..... which I wouldn’t think was a thing but it felt a bit pushy
William Ly
Went there for dessert and the chocolate fondant was superb. The waitresses and staff were so friendly and nice. Can't wait to go back again!

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Everybody’s! My family and I went to celebrate my sisters birthday and received amazing service, ate delicious food and had a wonderful evening. The atmosphere and ambience was beautiful. Would highly recommend!

Possibly one of my favourite restaurants I’ve been to in CBD. Great atmosphere, food and service.<br/>Food: we each ordered the steak sirloin (medium well) with truffle mash and veges, we also ordered the Belgium chocolate fondant. The steak was a lil tough and mine was a little under but otherwise tasted amazing alongside that sauce and mash. The truffle mash complimented the steak very well. The fondant was also very nice, not too sweet, just perfect.<br/>Service: we received excellent service from lovely staff, no complaints.<br/>Atmosphere: very lively, loved our booth we sat in. Overall very pleased with this experience, will definitely visit again.

This place has such lovely ambience, service and food! It’s hard to try new places when I keep having so many happy hours here. Can’t wait to come back. The chicken is a must.
Kate Linklater
Loved this place! Me and two friends wanted a late dinner on a Thursday night and I think it was 9:00 pm when we got there. We arrived and sat down in a comfy booth, ordered our food. The food came out pretty fast, I ordered the lamb rump sous vide and my friends had the morrocan chicken breast and the awhi farms beef burger. It was so fantastic, delicious and perfect amount. Worth how much you spend to be honest, all meals blew me away. Also the service was astonishing!
Emily Sivewright
Such beautiful food and service. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad, and it was large and very filling. The chicken was lovely and really nicely seasoned, and there was a nice amount of dressing, croutons and cheese. My friend had the beef burger and it was a great size too, here was so big she couldn’t even finish it. The fries were also really nice and crunchy. We both had a Aperol Spritz which was very refreshing and fruity, nice and strong too. Definitely will be back here to try something else out on the menu!
Jenny Kim
Got the sirloin with truffle. This was AMAZING. The truffle was the highlight of the dish, so soft & had amazing flavours in it. Also the steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare). On top of the amazing food, the waitress (skin girl with Karen walker necklace) presented amazing service, she gave us suggestions on our drinks and also allowed us to have samples. Also, she was so friendly that we needed up having a lovely chat with her. Due this this, we will be returning very often!! 💕<br/>Zomato Gold is also a perk to this visit, which meant that for both steak dishes we only spent $34? Which is an amazing price considering the quality of the meat and the truffle!
Alex Pearson
Good twist on a pornstar martini. Old fashioned was a miss. Tasted like watered down whiskey with a few splashes of bitters. Duck pancakes for starters were good but could do with some sort of sauce. Steak was very good. Closing the kitchen at 9:30 on Saturday night is strange. Pretty empty Though which is strange for a queen street location when everywhere else is full. Seen a few staff from roxy walking through grabbing ice and moving furniture. Feel like roxy makes the money and this place just uses the space to help costs. Staff are good but all seem abit depressed.<br/>.

Great place to catch up for drinks and dinner after work. We ordered the platter $44, steak $34 and desserts $13 each. Food took quite a while, they are quite busy and it’s very loud in there but we got a cozy booth seats so all good. Hard to get service as they seem to be running around, short staffed on Friday evening. Steak cook medium as requested, platter had fried chicken, squid, cold cuts, fries and bread dips. Steak the stand out, platter great to share but nothing to brag about. Desserts are good, deconstructed coconut ice cream and creme brulee. Preffered the creme brulee though. Total about $110 for two.

We came here before a concert for dinner on a Wednesday night. There was almost no one in the restaurant part but it took a wee while to get any attention as three of the staff were chatting and ignored us for a bit. The waitress was friendly enough when she got to us which was nice. We ordered the pork belly, oysters and chicken karaage. The pork belly was flavored nicely but the skin wasn’t crispy and ended up being a bit chewy. The lentils that it came on were delicious. The oysters were tiny but at least they were fresh. My partner was disappointed with them. <br/><br/>We asked where our chicken was once our plates were cleared as kinda just thought it was taking a while. However, our lovely waitress forgot to put the chicken order through for some reason (despite it all being ordered at the same time), and we couldn’t wait for it to be made as we had to go to our concert. <br/><br/>A bit sad as I feel that this is such a lovely space, the food and service has let them down on this occasion. The only saving grace was that we had Zomato gold and only had to pay for one meal. Sorry about the lack of photos, I was too hungry and forgot lol.
MG Corcuera
We got the Everybody’s platter, sirloin steak main and the ribs side. Portions were very generous. Everybody’s platter is a winner! The medium rare sirloin steak is one of the best steak I’ve had hands down. Lovely char grilled flavour and just really melts in your mouth. Truffle mash was so tasty. The ribs fell off the bone and the serving was so generous it could have passed as a main!<br/><br/>Came here with the Gold membership and unfortunately got the cheapest item free instead of the 2nd most expensive, but can easily let that go because of how great the experience was :-) <br/><br/>Ambience is a solid 5/5, would definitely come back again!
Alex Lenton
Really good mains! Both the steak and salmon were near on perfect! So tasty I forgot to take a photo of the food! Also has the kumara sourdough to start which was good. We will definitely return and really good value on Zomato gold!
Linda
Amazing food - would not have thought a “bar” type eatery would be able to cook a steak to perfection; but Everybody’s totally did and the combination of the steak with their creamy potato mash was a 5-stars ✨✨✨✨✨
Jonathan Clark
Great meal and excellent service. It was my first time using Zomato Gold, and it worked! We got the steak with truffle mash and salmon and vegetables large plates to share.

Great service and amazing food - we had steak, tiger prawns and Tokyo fried chicken. The food was fresh and flavourful, and the restaurant was lovely to relax in after a long days work. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

I love coming here for after work drinks purely coz of the vibe: layout of the restaurant, indoor/outdoor seating options and the general buzz, live music, lots of chatter and particularly the happy hour. We recently went for dinner and I was amazed that their quality of food is just as good! All of my group was super stoked with our meals, if anything the portion sizes were too generous for us to finish. Highlight of my meal was the creme brûlée (10/10)! PS they also have $6 happy hour proseccos so full 5 stars are truly worthy!
Tina Lee
The decor, the service and the overall vibe is wonderful. I highly recommend the Everybody's platter, which is perfect (with wine!) as a meal for 2.
Lizzie
Such cool vibes here and the platters - the everybody’s platter and the seafood medley platter are loaded and delish! The happy hour deals are also great - $6 wines. Hidden spot in Auckland!!
Wapatino
Everybody’s has a great vibe and ambiance! I highly recommend it for drinks after work. They have a happy hour on wine and beer until 7pm. They also have a $10 burger special on Wednesday’s which I only tried recently. The angus beef burger was very good! I will try the chicken burger next!

staff was very nice and accomodating!! food was well presented, well cooked to order. had the buttermilk fried chicken which had a nice kick to it. love it. lovely ambience and brilliant service.

If it wasnt for the food or drinks, this rating would get a 1 star. But there was too many things wrong with this place to give it higher ratings. The main disappointment was the manager (with the hand brace)  serving food at the pass who could not keep his fingers out of his nose or keep his hands off the other waiter who was of french background and had no business serving food that night with an attitude like that. Hey if you want to show love to your girlfriend and pick your nose all night, you can do it at home just not at work please.

Spacious, clean and quite a lovely spot to Meetup with friends. Attended an event here last night and found their services to be good and quite efficient. Standard drink prices.

This place is wonderful!!! A beautiful hidden gem up a spiral metal staircase. Great vibes, great service, excellent food and very reasonable prices. A great place to go when you want to celebrate with a nice dinner but don't want to pay ridiculous dollars for a meal. Highly recommend! Beautiful plants too 🌿🍃

Came for a friends birthday dinner. Overall the place visually looked amazing, very friendly staff. There's an open kitchen, which is nice, especially being able to see what's going on behind. Most of the food was very good. We recommend the shoe string fries as they were really crispy. Friend enjoyed the buttermilk chicken. The steak was a perfectly medium rare just like how we like it. <br/>Good atmosphere, great for photos :)<br/>This restaurant is quality over quantity but the food was fulfilling. <br/>Definitely come back again :)

The place is nice and has good vibe. Food wasn't so good and staff is very rude, instead of letting us know that the restaurant area was about to close, they started to ask us if we wanted something to finish the night or just the bill, that was not nice at all.

Beautiful and amazing just the way I remembered. I was here with a group of family and friends for a birthday as I recommended the place on a Saturday 13/5/17, the service was ok, the food was good but the drinks and bar/ service was the highlight.<br/>The service was good for the most part but let down by a female staff member (french girl) who was gloomy/ bad tempered and shouted every time she spoke and just spoke over us cutting everyone off when we were ordering. We then decided to order directly from the bar instead, and to our surprise turned our whole night and didnt mind walking up to order (our whole table followed suit) because the cocktails were tasty but their banter/ service was the best combo. I was also amazed at the demeanour, knowledge and finesse that was passed around the team by one of the bartenders who I was later told was the head barman. Skillful. Im calling it - "Best mojitos in auckland".

Its a nice bar with good traditional styled interiors. Becomes bit noisy if you are having a dinner with friends but good for people who love live music and drinks. Came here for a farewell in a  large group of 40+ and liked their service and food served. Try their Kumara salad, chips, and mezze board.

I used to love everybody's.. I still love the decor. As for the rest, it's gone downhill. I hadn't been in about a year, and returned recently only to discover that the food has become bland and average. Uninspired is the best way to describe it. What a shame, since the spot is so good.

Last Thursday.I had booked table reservations  for 10 people for a Birthday party  to be held on Friday. In my  email I had asked to let us know if we could bring a cake for the Birthday.  The booking manager Alyse Gentry,  called  me the next day to inform  that the table will be reserved and we could bring the cake. Food was good though a bit expensive  and the waitress who served us was very nice. But the whole evening was spoilt because of the  floor manager( an Asian guy)  who was very rude to us. He accused us of lying when we told him that we got permission to bring the cake. He said we should pay 5 dollars each for corkage which we  had no option but to agree (This was  not mentioned by the booking manager when she reserved our table , The cake was only 30 dollars and we had to pay much more as corkage ) . They  didn't provide us with any plates or cutlery for the cake. And the language used by the Manager was very rude. We will make sure that we wont visit this place anymore and also discourage people we know from going there.

I went for dinner on 11th of january  with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday.  <br/>I asked my  birthday cake to be kept in the fridge as soon as I have arrived to this female waitress before I have ordered anything. <br/>We have ordered wagyu bolognese, buttermilk fried chicken and lamb ribs.<br/>Buttermilk fried chicken was nice, big huge chunks of chicken fried nicely . <br/>However, gravy and potato was very bland and it would have been better with wasabi mayo or something.<br/>lamb rib was crispy , flavoursome and tender.Good for appetiser<br/>Wagyu bolognese was somewhat average. I couldn't find anything unique with the meat and it just tasted like normal bolognese I can make at home. <br/>After dinner, I asked that same female waitress if I can have my cake.<br/>She went into the kitchen and brought out the cake same as how we brought it in  ( in the plastic bag. seriously?) .<br/>She said that they usually don't do cake in the restaurant? and will only allow us for today but in the future to not to bring the cake in.<br/>She did not smile when she said this and was really kinda bitchy about it.<br/>There is nowhere on the site that states that we can't bring birthday cake in and she was really bitchy about letting us do the cake on that day. <br/>She just left us with cake in the plastic bag and 2 plates. <br/>No cutlery and no firelighters.<br/>I had to get her to get me some forks, knife and something to light the candles. <br/>If she was educated on how to serve people , she wouldn't have served us that way .<br/>I was very disappointed on her service and how she made me feel on my birthday.<br/>It wasn't type of service i was wanting on my birthday<br/>I don't know if that female european waitress was new or not but Everybody's Izakaya definitely needs to improve on educating their staffs.

Great hidden away restaurant! Came here for my birthday dinner and really enjoyed choosing the 'small tapas style plates'. The staff were attentive but lost focus towards the end - I can understand they were ready to go home! The food was delicious - Kumara could have had more flavour. We ordered the fried chicken, tiger prawns, shoestring fries, mushrooms, beef rillette, chicken meatballs and dessert!

Went to Everybody's for a a romantic birthday dinner and it was perfect - low yet bright enough to see lighting, attentive staff, a stunning interior, great food and delicious wine.<br/><br/>We ordered the oysters, grilled tiger prawns, brown butter popcorn and breads, smoked butter and spread to share. The starters came quickly, and were tasty, large portions.<br/><br/>For mains we ordered the buttermilk fried chicken and the truffled wagyu bolognese - the bolognese was especially fantastic. A real taste sensation and a must for anyone who loves anything truffle-related.<br/><br/>We had a great evening, and left agreeing that we'd definitely go back as soon as possible.<br/><br/>It's not super easy to find - if you're standing on queen street looking at queens arcade, the restaurant is just to your right. It was a little confusing for us. :)

We stood at the reception for 5min waiting for someone to host us to a table. Sat down for another 5min with no menus....so I had ask them myself.... The food there were average....abit worse than I have expected....Positive note, the atmosphere and the setting of the restaurant is good.

Came here for a work function and the food is really amazing.  I couldn't get enough of their sliders.  I love mcd's big macs and they were like little versions of it, but better.  I also like the extra touch of lime with my ginger beer that made it taste that much better.  I wanted to eat more because it was so good but was too full!  Only let down is that the toilets are located a little bit far away.
Fabridges15
Quite disjointed with overall quality was average. While no expert...opinion was prawns were overcooked. The oysters were great. My main was a Rice risotto...this was quite bland and disappointed. The desert was OK. Great potential with location and decor...but food not matching expectations.

I came here last night with my sister and we used a Grabone voucher. We got the Tokyo buttermilk fried chicken, which were delicious! I recently looked at the advertisement and it shows 7 pieces... We got 5. (Not sure whether that was because we used a Grabone). We also got the tiger prawns which were very tasty however they had the heads on. I would have preferred them to have removed it. We also got the sweet and sour ribs, the consistency was weird. It was as if the sugar was deep fried onto the ribs with a sugary aftertaste. Lastly we got the mocha mousse had a dense consistency and there was a grainy texture like it it had coffee grounds thrown in with the chocolate mousse. We also got the New York cheesecake which was salted caramel. This was not great... The cheesecake was SO dense and it was not portioned well with the ice cream which was fantastic. It needs to be balanced better, with a lighter more fluffy cheesecake texture and thinner or a more generous scoop of ice cream rather than the tablespoon we got. Overall the location and ambiance and hospitality was great but the food brought it down for me personally.

One of my favourite restaurants because of the atmosphere! Both upstairs and downstairs have fantastic atmosphere. Some dishes from the menu have been really great, especially the risotto. But some dishes are quite over-priced with small portions. The service has always been great.
Chloe-Mae
Came here for the set menu, the pop corn and peanuts were properly my highlight of the meal, the antipasto was top notch to. But I ordered the fish and it was so smelly, and bland. Next new was the pepper mint cheese cake, there was a group of 10 of us and everyone who ordered the cheesecake didn't eat there's. It was a strange combo. I will be back for drinks and if there's something on as I had been a few times just for drinks. But I won't be back to eat. It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing. Plus the toilets where revolting. Drunk of urine and had little flies flying around.

Amazing ambiance here, I often walk past Imperial Lane and never realised Everybody's was hiding upstairs all this time. The booths are quite romantic and intimate with candlelit tables. <br/><br/>Buttermilk Fried Chicken-Fried to perfection with a crisp coating and juicy, tender meat but the serving size was quite small for a main. I thought it could have passed for a large entree.<br/>Duck Salad- This should really be called a noodle dish rather than a salad dish- the only salad component here would be bean sprouts. Duck was nicely cooked though it was shredded through the noodles and not like a sliced breast that I thought it would be.<br/>Portobello Mushrooms- ordered this as a side and was really disappointed because we got button mushrooms and very small/ diced portobello (or field mushrooms even?). Definitely not what it advertised and I'm not sure why they would chop up a beautiful big mushroom to shreds, apart from trying to hide the absence of it..<br/>Grilled Prawns- grilled to juicy perfection with plenty of garlic and mayo. Recommended.<br/><br/>Overall the food was very overpriced but it wasn't bad per se, the flavours were okay but neither was it memorable nor what you'd expect to receive- I'd recommend coming more for the drinks because it has a great ambience.
Claudia Serra
Came here for drinks and nibbles after my graduation this week. The table was lovely, as were the staff (they monitored the table well without being pushy). The food was delicious, we ordered platters to share. Would definitely go back - we liked the atmosphere, not too many tables, not too loud. Thanks guys :)

If you ask me what the best thing is about this place is the atmosphere! <br/>Interior and candle lit tables are really romantic<br/>Waitress who served us was very friendly but however the manager who took our bill was not.<br/>We had a grab one voucher and she just seemed very confused and we took a while to actually pay<br/>We had the Angus steak, and prawns and Tokyo chicken from the grazing menu.<br/>The steak was very salty although well cooked, the chips and egg that came with it was super nice<br/>The Tokyo chicken and prawns were rather average <br/>I don't think I'd pay for their full priced meals<br/>Good for when you're looking for a nice place to chill with wine :) - the Neds sav is great

I first came here for the 21st birthday dinner of one of my close friends, it was a Friday night. She booked a table/booth in advance and specifically told the restaurant that it was her 21st birthday. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were asked to leave because two of us didn't have IDs and were told that she would only hold our table for 15mins so we could go grab our IDs. We didn't expect to bring IDs to a fine dining restaurant but we saw that they had a full service bar so we obliged. The whole time I loathed the bad attitude of the manager. After the whole ID thing, we finally got to order some food and drinks. For appetisers, we had the fried chicken from Tokyo and the braised lamb shoulder nugget. For main, we had the Wagyu beef burger, the grilled market fish and two Angus sirloin steak. We also had green beans with almonds and portobello mushrooms as side dishes. Unfortunately, the restaurant was so dark I couldn't take any photos of the food and also music was so loud we had to shout to each other. As for the food, the appetisers and side dishes were actually much better than the main. I had a slightly over cooked steak with bland potatoes, but I loved the fried chicken starter. The presentation and portion and quality of the food wasn't worth the price. The service was slow and bad, i felt like the waitress didn't want to wait on us. Anyway, I gave 3.0 for the two appetisers, everything else might as well got 0-1 out of 5.

I was pleasantly surprised last week when I reached the upstairs area. It is an awesome venue especially for drinks.<br/>I was able to try some oysters, fried chicken from Tokyo and braised lamb nuggets.<br/>The oysters and lamb nuggets were tasty. I found the chicken to be a bit dry.<br/>I will definitely be back to try other dishes and for drinks. They also have some great deals during the week.

Great deal with grab one voucher! The building was the old moving house with brick walls. Excellent atmosphere and welcoming. Had steak and truffle wagyu bolognese. Really delicious! Will come back again!

Always busy and bustling on a weeknight be prepared to wait for a table or mingle in the crowd on a Thursday or Friday night. This place has atmosphere and is good on a sunny day with open air seating available.<br/><br/>Now to the food-this place is a winner for sharing meals... With interesting twists and delicious favourites. The brown butter popcorn with porcini was a crowd fave, as was the house made onion dip and chips! Definitely more than your average chip and dip plate...highly recommend!

Fantastic food and atmosphere, highly recommend the fried chicken and collard greens. <br/>Friendly service, and a great selection of food for any appetite

Located on Queen Street, this little place is awesome. We came for a Thursday night dinner. There's an outside type area for having a few cheeky drinks and a separate area for dinner. The dinner table are in little alcoves, perfect for dates. The food was excellent. We ordered sirloin steaks and sides. Perfectly cooked and with salty chunky fries. The staff were friendly and it was good to see the chefs do their thing too!

Upstairs, through Imperial Lane, even getting here is exciting. The ambience is dim and intimate but at the same casual too! Music is groovy and suits the mood. <br/><br/>Have been here for after work drinks, grazing dinner and also late night dancing! <br/><br/>The food I had here was delicious. I had the small sharing plates and everything was pretty good. But be ready to spend quite a bit of money. <br/><br/>Service was really good, with the waiter being very patient with our indecisiveness. Overall, always had a great time here :)

Everybody's is a hidden gem - not the easiest place to get to but well worth the search<br/>I'd probably go just for the ambience and service itself, but of course food is most important <br/>We had an amazingly patient waitress who got along with all of us very well <br/>We ordered the Mac and cheese, wagyu beef Bolognese, Tokyo Chicken, angus sirloin and buttermilk chicken<br/>We started with the Tokyo Chicken, the chicken was soft and tender, plenty juicy and the shallots + the sauce really hit home. Absolutely delicious and set expectations pretty high for the rest of the meal, it's a shame they weren't met<br/>We found the Mac and Cheese to be quite flavorless, despite being a famous comfort food where you can barely ever go wrong, this dish left a lot to be desired<br/>The Wagyu beef Bolognese is a little over hyped due to the reviews which were raving on about how amazing it is. It's good, but I wouldn't order it again, you could taste that the spaghetti was done in bulk, cold and warm in different areas. The sauce is where all the praise is coming from I'd assume, filled with flavor that doesn't overpower the natural taste of the wagyu beef, that was definitely done well. <br/>I was a little surprised they didn't ask us how we wanted the angus sirloin, it came to our table medium rare which isn't everyone's cup of tea. However it was seared well and one could most certainly tell it was a high grade piece of steak.<br/>The buttermilk chicken was a bit disappointing after the Tokyo chicken, a little on the dry side, barely any juices which we attempted to compensate for with the gravy, it helped a little but not a dish I'd go for again considering how dense the mash was too <br/>It was a delightful meal, a little on the expensive end of the spectrum but when you order the right thing, you'll find the price is deserved<br/>Look forward to coming again

Everybody's is quite a cosy bar/restaurant with a modern garden like setting with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is divided into handy sections depending on the level of hunger. We ordered 4 dishes and a side of shoe string fries which comfortably fit on the table between two people. The duck salad was a delight, however a bit on the salty side and the beef tartare is highly recommended. Lovely staff who came by at regular intervals to check on us.
Karen James
Had a lovely dinner at everybody's...the buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy is to die for! Excellent service and ambience
Danny
Everybody's has many things going for it. It is casual enough to be a bar, yet formal enough to come across as a trendy restaurant. The food is good too.<br/><br/>As you would expect from the location and interiors, Everybody's is trendier than the average bar. Clearly, this is no FSU! But the food is good - it's classic, simple and safe. Think burgers with fries, fried prawns, etc.<br/><br/>Most recently, I ordered the wagyu beef burger with fries. The beef burger was simple and tasty. The fries were done really well - thin cuts to give a nice crunch on the outside. All of this went down quite well with a glass of wine and some genuinely friendly service.

New menu @ Every body's<br/>This used to be our friday eve hang out place but we never used to dine hete because nothing on their dinner menu interested us..<br/>But their new menu it's a different story..<br/>We have been here twice because there were lot of items we wanted to try and this is how they score<br/><br/>Waffles - 8/10<br/>Tokyo fried chicken - 7.5/10<br/>Onion dip with home made chips - 5/10<br/>Wagu beef burger - 6/10 pattie was a bit dry <br/>Angus beef sirloin - 5/10<br/>Buttermilk fried chicken - 7/10<br/><br/>Leaving the best for the last..<br/>Wagu beef bolognese - 10/10 *MUST TRY**<br/><br/>The bolognese was soo yummy.. you can taste the truffle which is very strong and works soo well with the beef def must try!!

I went to this place on a Friday and it was bustling with activity. It’s definitely a pretty cool place to hang out on a weekend. I was in a hurry so I chose to eat first. I ordered the “Aged Wagyu Beef Burger” and man was it amazing. There was a lot of attention to small details like the patty was not too oily, the pickles were right and the vinegar onion was the best addition to it. The service was pretty good and prompt. <br/><br/>Pros – <br/>Location<br/>Food is good<br/>Service is great<br/><br/>Cons – <br/>Not much really. Give it a shot.
Food 24/7
Wouldn't normally come here on a Tuesday night or have dinner here . But we had a GrabOne voucher (included two Waygu Beef burgers and two house wine/beer) and it was about to expire lol. <br/><br/>The staff were friendly but seemed confused at what they were doing . <br/><br/>Food didn't take long to come which was good as we were both hungry . The burgers were on the small side with nothing else on the plate . Just a burger . We had to order an extra side . <br/><br/>Overall, tasty burger but can get similar taste, bigger and more affordable at Burger Fuel <br/><br/><br/><br/>

Pretty nice place for a work catch up or social... good music and starters.. happy hour deals are good too. I had a few macs gold last night.. went down smoothly.

I had dinner with my partner here last night and we enjoyed the experience. However, it seems to me like there's so much more someone could do with this place, there's lots of potential.<br/>The venue is very cool but it seems like only one area of the restaurant is used due to the low attendance and this makes the atmosphere not feel as great as it could. Service was nice and correct from the beginning, but during dinner there were a few little things that made my partner and I a little uncomfortable. Twice during the dinner, a staff member who wasn't our waitress took my water glass and I had to ask for some more and, we had to chase somebody to get our drinks, rather than getting someone helping us out with the order.<br/>Food was very nice, kind of smart-casual cuisine for those who finish work during the week more than a fin dining, but this menu makes the job. We had some fried chicken and chips to start the dinner hoping to see some food passing around us during our appetiser to decide what to order as a main. The chicken was original and well cooked and the fries were perfect.<br/>Then we had steak as a main, with a poached then fried egg and chips and the overall result of the plate was good. The sirloin wasn't the best I've had in Auckland but it was tender and juicy and the chips were very fatty but flavourful.<br/><br/>Everybody's is definitely recommended if you wan't to have a snack after work or if you want a fancy after-work dinner and drinks on a Thursday-Friday night.
Zoe Huang
There environment is very good spacious and nice decoration. I like their oysters. Pecking duck salad is nice too. Although their signature share board is average, their brownie dessert is a mist try. However, when we were there, there is only one waiter.. Therefore the service could be improved.
Amit Tripuraneni
Was here on a weekday night a few months back. The food was good but the service was super slow. Took close to an hour before the first dish was served and there was no explanation given or anything complimentary given to make up for the bad service. Cool location but after the last experience don't know if I'm ever inclined to go back.

Went to Everybody's after work on a Friday. I had the market fish and the girlfriend had the Angus fillet. <br/>My fish was very average and the Angus fillet was the smallest fillet I have seen in my life with ten chips and salad.<br/>Have to say the atmosphere there was great but the food very disappointing for the price. <br/>Lastly went to pay and the guy at the counter over charged me twice!! Not sure if he was doing this on purpose or made an honest mistake.
Sukriti Bhatnagar
One word, sublime! The atmosphere is amazing and the restaurant is set up beautifully. I love how it's hidden away but once inside it's huge yet feels cozy, especially upstairs. <br/><br/>We ordered a myriad of drinks and dishes ranging from beer, cocktails to steak and vegetarian dishes. <br/><br/>A bit pricey for my student pocket but once in a while a great fancy treat!
Fylde
Really tasty oysters in very convivial surroundings. The do good snacks and also have quite an interesting wine and cocktail list. Worth trying a mojito at everybody,s. Can get business on Thurs and Fri nights.

The decor and atmosphere at Everybody's is great. It's the perfect place to head to on a cold winter night to grab some drinks or a meal. The staff were friendly and made room for us even without a booking.<br/><br/>For dinner, we tried the Wagyu beef burger, shoestring fries, and the buttermilk fried chicken which were all pretty good. Dessert however was largely disappointing. I ordered the vanilla spiked Belgian waffles with sour cherry and salted fudge, and instead received waffles with a mustard seed sauce, quite a curious combination and not one I was a fan of. Not a hint of sour cherry or salted fudge in sight!<br/><br/>

The atmosphere is a winner, and despite how busy this place is, the service was attentive and prompt. Pretty good value for money for akl town, and great as a 'night starter' as the portions are tapas style light and shareable.

We had purchased a voucher for $40 giving $80 worth of food and beverages. Unlike some eateries when using a voucher, we were treated equally and welcomed. The seating is marvelous for small groups with intimate boothsm but we were just a couple and had a choice of a peculiar arm chair table that was rather 'exposed' but comfortable. After sitting there for a moment, we decided it wasn't for us and we chose amore usual table for two on a bench near the kitchen. We were allowed to move without a fuss and our drinks came quickly. <br/><br/>The menu has very many unique and interesting dishes and they entice you to return to try those you don't eat first time. <br/><br/>The beverage menu is a little limited, but sufficient to cater to most tastes. <br/><br/>My partner had fresh raw oysters which she loved, and I had the potato waffles. They were less crispy than I expected and the mustard and maple dip a little bland. Moderately filling too. Perhaps they are better shared as 4 of them was perhaps one too many. <br/><br/>My partner had the entree sized bolognese which she again praised highly, and I had the Wagyu burger which was delicious. Chunks of tender beef with fresh lettuce and tomato and red onion on a toasted bun. <br/><br/>The setting is unusual but very interesting and unique, nice atmosphere, and the service was outstanding; a happy smiling waitress who brought drinks at the time requested and was very efficient and not pushy. <br/><br/>Regardless of the voucher, the food is reasonable value for money and overall an excellent experience to be repeated.

Lovely food and the ambience is just amazing, especially when good live music is playing. They have friendly attentive staff so despite being busy, customer service is good. Perfect place to unwind with friends after a long week!

We got a  lukewarm greeting from the the gentleman host but a really great server (young fellow with glasses) - friendly and knowledgeable - made up for the inauspicious start.<br/><br/>Some real hits on the menu - the Tokyo chicken was fantastic - moist and juicy with a lovely kick from the mayo. The kettle chips and smoked salt onion dip was really nice - a great take on an old favourite. The buttermilk pancakes were a nice surprise - not nothing I'd normally order but was suggested by the server.<br/><br/>Also some misses on the menu unfortunately - the saltimbucca sausage was rendered inedible by the sheer quantity of salt in the sausage with even more salt sprinkled liberally on top. Add this to collared greens combined with anchovies (and possibly capers - hard to tell what was what - my tongue was numbed by the salt at this stage) and you can see why most of it remained on the plate. The Peking duck salad was also heavily salted, so much so that even the fresh coriander and chili couldn't lift it beyond a bland and salty heart disease-inducing mess - very disappointing for the price.<br/><br/>Our great server got caught up with other tables so we were left  at the end with a trainee who while pleasant, didn't ask the million-dollar question 'Did you enjoy your meal?' or notice the sausage and salad left on the plates.<br/> <br/>Overall very good service (especially from the young server with glasses), nice food for the most part but someone in the kitchen needs to taste the sausage dish and duck salad and tell me that they are happy serving them.<br/><br/>Will I be back? Yes but probably only for a beer and some Tokyo chicken.

Tried to book on the day for 8 of us but couldn't get through on the phone after 3 attempts. Also sent email as advised but no response. We had been here before and food was amazing. This time we waited to order drinks, trying to figure out how to order from booths above. Waited too long for food as well although they did apologise & the food was good. Great setting but I wouldn't come again. Maybe better if you are more organised than me & don't try booking on the day!

Love the out door setting at this place, open air and great for a large gathering. Tried a couple of whiskeys that were recommended and the bartender was great. On another note it is a little tricky to locate, better signage would be great.

So good. Seriously have been to both imperial lane and dined at everybody's, coffee very good - near top of my list for inner city. Food here is great, duck fat chips a delight I would visit just for these. Interior is classy without being pretentious and the exposed brick walls of imperial are so on trend. I love visiting everybody's.

Dinner here on a Friday night can be best described as a mission. It came as no surprise that the place was super busy, but the music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation or even make an order without shouting. The entrees were absolutely amazing - big portion and full of flavour, but unfortunately this wasn't consistent with the mains. Due to the loud music, our orders had been taken down incorrectly but we eventually got the right dishes. The mains were about the same size (maybe smaller) than the entrees … and were not as enjoyable. I can see Everybody's being more suitable for a after work drink and snack.

Keen for a quick lunch and a cocktail to add? Well for $15 you can get this delish salmon don buri - extra for the cocktail people. Be careful not to have too many before returning to work - lets just say - people knew I had a great lunch. Also this place is the Beez Kneez when it comes to style! Loft like males domain fitout. I love this place!

Had lunch at this place. I thought my food was great, except I had to wait 30 minutes to an hour for it and the place didnt seemed to be busy at the time I dine in. Maybe good food take long time to cook <br/><br/>Customer Service: 7/10<br/>Food: 8/10 <br/>Atmosphere: 7/10 <br/><br/>Date: November 2014

Here for dinner, using an online voucher that had a set menu to chose from.<br/> Choosing two out of three options, entrée, main, and/or dessert. I thought that was slightly weird but the dessert menu wasn't too appealing for me personally so happy to both go from entrées and mains. Overall I would come back for the full menu just to give it another go based upon the good review my friends have told me, but from my experience I wasn't displeased or wowed. But open to having another meal 😊

Ventured out to this place last night again on a voucher cz my friend lives by it! I've started to feel that you don't get the 'real deal' when you redeem a voucher at a restaurant - food for thought! <br/><br/>The place was quite for a Saturday night. Waiters were drifting around and not overly attentive. No-one to seat me at the entrance and other things but once you got hold of them they are sharp!<br/><br/>Half out party was late so we a couple of cocktails which were good and some bread which was ok. I had the cured tuna and tried some cured beef for entree. I liked it it was fresh and very well presented. The laksa lacked a punch of flavour. Main was the beef steak - wonderfully presented again and with decent flavour. Heaps of butter on top if thats how you like it with nice bit of mushrooms and chips on the side.<br/><br/>Overall the meal was good and the place is decent too. $49 for 2 - it was steal!!<br/><br/>Thumbs up for the presentation but is this place dying into being a club after hours??! If yes then thats a shame.

Great service. Great food. Lively atmosphere. Cannot recommend the place highly enough. We have dined here the last 2 Friday evenings and both times had a fantastic experience. Special mention to Sarah and Ruby who served and waited on us impeccably and made us feel very welcome and looked after. Would have scored 5 had the restaurant been easier to find, if there was a 4.9 that's how highly I'd have rated this place. Excellent.

We visited Everybody's tonight and it was fantastic! We sat in one of the booths upstairs and both of the girls were really lovely. The food was incredible (I had steak, my friend had snapper) and there was live music which was unexpected but brilliant! Also, $5 happy hour, why don't they advertise this?! Amazing, will be back soon!

Bad food and bad service. We asked for 3 medium and one well done steak. They served us three blue/raw steak and one medium. And the steaks were cold. The chilli I asked three times never ever came either. Overall, the dishes were overly rich and salty. By the way they charge for water, $9. Both my husband and I felt sick after eating there.<br/><br/>Plus the atmosphere was so loud. We practically had to shout over the music and the noise. Not a great place to spend my husband's birthday at. Won't be eating here ever again.

Modern Japanese tapas done beautifully. Yum yum & yum! Been a few times, best if you have 4 or more people to get a good mix of dishes. Get an upstairs booth table if you have a group of 4 or 5. Have also had a friends birthday party there with 30 people, great atmosphere and not what you expect from a Japanese restaurant. <br/>The deserts are also a must have, reasonable price too.

Hit and miss dishes. The atmosphere, staff service and meat dishes were all fantastic. Desserts were amazing <br/>Some of the other flavours were weak and tasted terrible. The mochi component was too soft, as were my noodles. The huge globs of mayo accompanying quite a few dishes was strange. You know your flavours aren't great if you smother them in mayo

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Such a comfortable and relaxing environment with very amiable staff! However, the food isn't all that great. Definitely not bland or distasteful, but not something to 'rave' about. I would to probably go here for a good drink with good vibes - but for the food? Not so much :-)

So.... I am not sure if it was because I had a set menu, but I wouldn't say I was a fan of half the things I was served.<br/><br/>For our set menu, we had the baked olives - I'm not a fan of olives so when I saw so many in a bowl in front of me, it was kind of scary. For oluve fans though, it would be a dream! I think we also had the house baked bread - the bread was very nice and soft (yum) bt the stuff we had to spread was not (beirre noisette butter). <br/><br/>Next came the cured wakanui beef - that was very tasty! The little bits of anchovy and chilli complimented it very well as well. For our mains, we had the roasted snapper with sweetcorn, fennel and semi dried tomatoes - this was my favourite of the night! Snapper cooked perfectly and each mouthful was a burst of different but extremely tasty flavours! <br/><br/>To end, we had the cheese selection board and the earl grey creme brulee - second favourite of the night (and probably worth visiting again just to order this).<br/><br/>Overall, the set menu had its ups and downs, but judging from the selection on the rest of the menu, there are quite a few dishes I would not mind returning to try. <br/><br/>The environment was lovely and the restaurant was really well decorated, bar downstairs and dinner upstairs - perfect separation. The service, excellent.

We do not have a satisfactory experience here. We had the voucher for 4 course dining experience, then the waiter told us that there is not a menu for this, just eat what chef prepared, 'do you have anything you are not able to eat?' Not to the top of my head. Then what comes is olives for a shared first course!  Second course for both is good, then third course is soufflé? Really, for the main course, as you can see from the picture, is it a decent main? No meat, a few vegetables and a dessert like soufflé yes it is savory but I don't think I will ever see it in a menu. Then bread and cheese? We had too many gluten and flour this night than any of the night! But no meat? Really? The only meat we can see from the dining experience is the raw beef? This is a weird mixture of the courses and overall it makes us not feel satisfied, although full stomach of flour. Not having too much choice is ok, but not even let customers see the menu and not having any choice for customers with varied needs and wants is not acceptable, may be offensive too.

I booked a table there few days ago, friends came from overseas so we want to find a nice place for dinner. But when we arrived tonight, the staffs told us that they have a private function suddenly and couldn't manage to tell everyone who had made reservation, WTF! Its Friday night and we were so looking forward to have dinner there before we came, took us an hour to find another restaurant in CBD! Thank you so much for the surprise!!!

I ate at Everybody’s last night and would like to say that the décor was outstanding and the food generally very good. Letting the side down was a few little things that could easily be sorted out by an attentive manager and a more diligent attitude from the waitresses. There were crumbs on the seat in our booth, I have to chase the staff to get more water/wine and the toilets were messy. One dish was served with slightly burnt toast which spoilt the delicious and delicate flavours of the dish. We asked for it to be replaced and the new toast was delivered with the comment ‘here is you extra toast’. A bit of a shame as this could easily be one of the best restaurants in town.

15.09.15<br/>I am changing my review. My previous review from last year can be seen if you scroll down. I went to everybodies tonight with family (4 people) because i bought a voucher. Will not make this mistake again. My previous experiences at this restaurant was superb until now, mainly because the menu changed. It is now very pricey, small portion and average food. 16.09.15<br/><br/>We had:<br/>* potato waffles (good...but small). I thought it was the chunky potatoes that they use to have, but was not. <br/>*macaroni cheese (good, bit too creamy)<br/>*beef sirloin (over cooked with exactly 4 sad looking chips at the bottom of the plate and a very strange deep fried egg)<br/>* goat cheese salad. super duper small portion salad completely over priced. Probably the most regretful dish ordered in my opinion. <br/>* We were still hungry so ordered a extra Aged Wagyu beef burger. I was going to use a voucher for this too. but apparently only 1 voucher per table. The voucher is only $1 cheaper than the full price, but you will get house wine or beer..... So it came as a burger... no fries no greens... first time seen it serve like this at a restaurant.<br/><br/>Their online booking system is also faulty. Booking for 3+ people can only be select after 9:15 pm. When called usually no one picks up and tells you to book online. Luckily they called me back so that I could reserve a table before making the booking at 915pm online. I also tried Email, no one replied. And no more cocktails!!!! so we tried their house wine which was not great.... The plus side was the good atmosphere and that's about it. Wouldn't recommended it or return.<br/><br/>So the comments below don't apply anymore. They were from last year better times: <br/><br/>Reason to go there: Good atmosphere and good food! Bought a voucher for a 4 course dinner at Everybody's. The restaurant is located inside a building on Queen Street, without the voucher or recommendation, I don't think I would ever walk inside. <br/>Decoration: To my surprise, the whole journey leading to the restaurant was very nicely designed, and we were really impressed by the decorations in the restaurant and the vibe. <br/>Service: The service was brilliant. <br/>Food(1): house-baked rye bread, aged malt butter- very good (complementary??) <br/>Food(2): appetizer Wagyu skirt steak, smoked onion, nettle, horseradish- very good<br/>Food(3): calamari- extremely delicious <br/>Food (4): pork and apple source, roasted potato -  the poke was a bit fatty, but the potatos were the best potato I have ever had. i dont think this dish is on the menu... <br/>Food(5): Vanilla cream and shaved ice??? I'm not sure, its not on the menu, refer to picture...still its very delicious. <br/>Drink: Margerito cocktail, a cross over of margarita and mojito. <br/>Overall Experience: Very satisfied, especially the decoration and the double height space, but it would be very expansive without a voucher. Will definitely recommend and return.

Had something something raw, one of them was a beef wagyu, another was a beetroot dish, steak and potato. Couldn't remember and couldn't see cause it was too dark. But I love how spacious this place is, so much room to cater for big groups or if you're on a date. The atmosphere and ambience was very relaxing and destressing, especially after a long hard day of work. Haha. There was also live music it was really good. We ended up staying for 5 hours when we only anticipated to drop by for a dinner. Service was top notch. Will definitely come back again.

Came here for lunch during a weekday and had the chicken and fish.  Definitely recommend it. The sauce was delicious! Mixture of almonds, yoghurt and sultanas works really well. <br/>The big guy at the counter was awesome, very friendly. The guy who took our orders was friendly. The only reason i have given a poor rating is because of customer service by one of the ladies who work here, she served the food out to us. I don't know if she is a waitress or the store manager but she should not be working there.  She has a way of offending people and 'Everybody's' will lose customers if she continues working there! She definitely needs some customer service training.

This is the first review I have ever taken the time to write, even though I eat out ALOT. I went there for dinner last night and I have to say it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in ages. We sat in a booth in the upper mezzanine level. The ambience was fantastic, the lighting just right (muted but not in darkness), and the service was exceptional (attentive but not cloying). The most important thing though was the incredible food. We ended up having 4 courses each (gluttonous I know) and we rolled out of the place. Every course was outstanding and I am salivating thing about the pork dish I had. I can't recommend this place more highly. Put Everybody's on your must visit list. A big thank you to the service staff and especially the chefs. Yum!

Unfortunately the delicious Japanese food is gone! It was not a good night at all! <br/>Firstly we made a booking for 7pm for 7 people a week in advance. When we arrived we were told we couldn't go upstairs to eat as they were too busy and had to stay and have a drink. Not acceptable. The man who was telling us this was extremely rude. After the manager came over at 720 we went upstairs to find it was empty. Load of crap they just wanted us to spend even more money. <br/>Once we were seated we were told we had to have a set menu and that we couldn't choose it and that all 7 of us have to eat the same thing. Well in our group was a gluten free eater and an eater who cannot eat certain proteins due to religion. How can you expect 7 people to have all the same tastes?! <br/>We decided to leave straight away and went to ebisu for the best Japanese in auckland and some friendly service!! Highly disappointed as I used to be a regular here. Will not be back.

I was very skeptical as I walked along this dark entrance. Didn't know what I was getting to till I walked up a flight of stairs to this hidden jewel!<br/>The lighting and ambiance is jaw-dropping!<br/>I recommend the bbq ribs and their finest selection of wines.<br/>For a good fine dining experience or just a drink or 2 to catch up with mates, Everybody's caters to food and drink enthusiasts with the highest quality one could ask for!

My friend and I dined at Everybody's one Friday night earlier this year. We have only ever ordered drinks here, but because I had won a dinner voucher, we thought it would be a good opportunity to try as many dishes as possible on their menu! <br/><br/>Upon walking in, the first thing we noticed (and loved) was the decor. Think hanging plants, pretty chandeliers and various seating areas (with very comfortable chairs) to cater to all. There is also an open-air courtyard outside, which would be great for dining/having a drink in the summertime! <br/><br/>We first started with cocktails. I cannot recall what they were but mine came served with a pretty red flower on top (see picture). They were delicious! <br/><br/>We then shared many of the dishes. The menu was all small plates, either raw or cooked. Our favourites were the Venison Carpaccio and the Tuna Sashimi, which I am certain came topped with cubes of watermelon! <br/><br/>For dessert, we shared the Soy-Milk Custard with plum-wine jelly and Yuzu sorbet. We had never heard of 'Yuzu' but were told it is a citrus fruit originating from East Asia - something crossed between a lemon, mandarin and grapefruit. The Yuzu sorbet was divine and overall, it was definitely the highlight of the night! Lastly, we had coffees. My mochacino was strong and extra hot, just how I like it! <br/><br/>Our waiter for the night was knowledgeable and friendly. I cannot say much about the general service because the whole time we were there, we were the only ones dining - everyone else was having drinks only. I thought this was very unusual, considering it was a Friday night! <br/><br/>Overall, the food was nice, but I would probably not go back to pay their prices for the dishes. We ate a lot of food because of the voucher, but otherwise it would have been very expensive!

Loved the decor and the service was really good. Friendly wait staff. I had the Tokyo Chicken as an entree, which looked amazing but was very very salty. Even my dad, who puts salt on everything usually, commented on this. <br/><br/>For a main I had the Wagyu skirt steak, which to my surprise was almost completely raw. The menu said nothing about the steak being seared or anything like that. It was also chewy. So be warned if you are not a fan of raw steak like me, don't order this main! I wish the menu had been more descriptive about this as some people like raw steak but many people don't.<br/><br/>The duck fat chips and the Agria roasted potatoes were delicious, and the Pork Cheek main that a couple of people on my table had was amazing. The roasted monkfish was also very tasty.

Everybody's Izakaya was a fantastic dining experience! Would highly recommend it to anyone who loves Japanese food and is looking for a place a little less loud and crowded than other Japanese restaurants along the lines of Sake Bar in Epsom!<br/>The decor was amazing, the service was faultless, and the menu was interesting! And of course, the food lived up to and exceeded all expectations!<br/>It's a great way for people to try out new things together without running the risk of wastage; a great concept!<br/>Will definitely return with numerous family and friends in tow!

The food and drinks were great, especially the sake cocktail with blueberries. However I had a concern about the water provided. <br/><br/>When we sat down the waiter said "Can I offer you some water" which we accepted. It was sparkling, which was a nice touch. It wasn't until we went up to pay at the end of the meal that we found out we had been charged $11 for four glasses of water. When he offered us water we automatically assumed that it was complimentary. <br/><br/>It was very disappointing to find out that it wasn't and we left feeling slightly deceived. However, the sake really was the best I've had so I would like to go back.

Went their for dinner with partner and aunty. Food was tasty but portion sizes were very small and left still feeling hungry. It was quite expensive too. Decor is amazing but I think the price and quantity of food let it down. Its not Izakaya at all to be honest, dishes have a slight japanese twist.<br/><br/>Izakay: An izakaya is a type of Japanese drinking establishment which also serves food to accompany the drinks. They are casual places for after-work drinking. - Not really this place at all..

We went to Everybody's as a small group on Saturday night. <br/>Was excited to be there as I had been meaning to try it out for awhile now and love Japanese food.<br/>Loved the decor and style of the building, however, food was definitely below expectations and service was okay.<br/>I have read all the other reviews and food seemed to be good so we might have lucked out on a bad chief for the night. <br/>We had numerous dishes to share. A few were good but the rest were definitely disappointing. Tuna sashimi was really fresh and chicken wings were nice. But the oysters that came were overpowered by seaweed and didn't have the Yuzu or soy sauce dressing as promised. <br/>Beef ribs looked amazing but was dry. <br/>Sashimi with noodles was bland and over dosed in seaweed. The hotpot was pretty forgettable. Seafood was cooked well but lacked depth of flavour that you would expect from a place of this calibre.<br/><br/>A good place to grab a drink but definitely will be having dinner elsewhere next time
Rachael Mooney
We went as a group of people on Saturday night after reading some good reviews. The food was amazing. We ordered lots of small dishes for us all to share which is such a fun way to eat in a group. Beautiful flavours, fresh ingredients, lots of variety, including some good vegetarian options.<br/><br/>The restaurant setting upstairs is also nice with good lighting, comfy seating and decent sized tables. It is quite loud but perfect for a group dinner.<br/><br/>However in our experience the service did in no way match the food. I don't think we got a smile out of either of the waitresses the entire evening. They gave the distinct impression they were doing us a favour by being there at all.<br/><br/>And there were errors - we never received the ordered miso, the drinks took forever to arrive, we had a number of drink mis-orders including cider rather than sake, cheap gin rather than the brand ordered (I forgot to check what we got charged for!) and we were told they "weren't doing" cocktails - on a Saturday night!<br/><br/>And then the final disappointment was we were moved out of the restaurant to make way for "VIP" guests. Apparently the $1000 we spent there that evening didn't make us worthy of staying in our seats till we had finished. When we booked we were not told there was any event that would mean we had to move. Certainly marred the evening for us.<br/><br/>So in summary a place to be seen and food that was amazing. But a little bit too much attitude from the staff for it to be taken seriously.

My partner and I went to Everybody's for the first time last week and it was simply divine. Received excellent service from our waitress Pip, very friendly and helpful. We will be definitely be back again for the lamb ribs and spiced duck!

Had a beautiful night here dining with my boyfriend, our service was prompt and professional. My duck main was delicious, but even better was dessert! We really enjoyed our experience, it was probably a bit too loud for a romantic setting but we didn't mind. Cocktails were lovely as well. Would come again!
