Love this place especially the spicy stuff. Huge servings too. Pre-pandemic we had a small gathering here and it did not cost much. Would definitely come back here. There a lot more food waiting to be tasted. I love the innards and fish cuisines more than the noodles though. Highly recommended.

Polite staff with delicious Sichuan dumplings and braised pork noodles. The dumplings were more to the “sweet” than to a “hot spicy” taste. Restaurant had varieties of food and beverages to choose from. Has a family friendly atmosphere presented with detailed interior designed themes of pandas and Sichuan/China. Note the hot spiciness of Sichuan exists in their food limited to the chilli pics next to its name on the menu. :)

We went to Panda Restaurant recently to give it a try. We had been told it was the same owner as Kuai Dian Eatery in Newmarket (which we had really enjoyed!) so thought this place was worth a shot. We tried multiple different dishes and loved every one of them. These included Dan Dan Noodles, Steamed Pork Buns, Sichuan Chili Oil Dumplings, Bobo Chicken, Stir Fry Cauliflower and Pork, Mapo Tofu, Kung-Pao Chicken and Dry Fried Green Beans. My personal favourites were the Bobo Chicken, Mapo Tofu and the Dan Dan Noodles. I highly recommend these three in particular, but again, everything was great! All dishes here were really reasonably priced and it was great quality food. The staff were attentive and service was excellent. You should definitely give this restaurant a try if you’re looking for a good Sichuan Chinese restaurant.

A great spot in the heart of Browns Bay. The decor is fantastic. There's little panda figurines and chopstick holders which are really cute! The servers are really friendly and helpful. There's free WiFi, and you get a free drink if you give an honest review, which is really kind of them. My only complaint is that it gets a little sunny if you're sitting near the outside in the afternoon. E: stick to their signature dishes, because everything else looked good, but did not taste good.

This place is wonderful, it has some of the best pork buns. With an accompaniment of beef noodle soup, with soft meat, uniquely cut bamboo and spicy soup made for a great experience. Over all the experience was great with lovely smiles.

Not only were dishes averaging $28+ they also had smaller portions than most restaurants. On a side note i recommend avoiding any dishes that look fried/crispy, because they are microwaved and soft... Im very disappointed especially at this price level.

Went to panda on 25 jan. Before ordering we asked if we could use zomato gold, waitress said sure! We ordered the braised pork and fried duck. Upon payment, they somehow turned off the zomato gold feature (even though the gold feature was showing when we entered the place). Had to chat with zomato gold hotline and they told us that the restaurant turned off the partnership with zomato gold. Owner of restaurant said it was not their decision, it was zomato gold that decided when they could turn the gold feature on. Not sure why they told us we could use it then if they knew zomato gold had turned it off? Ended up paying full price (not worth it). Plus point is that owner was friendly. Downside is being told you can use gold, only to order and then have to pay full price.

When we were looking for a place to eat . Came across this restaurant and it also offered gold member benefits so decided to give it a try. I found the price of the fried rice was reasonable but the chicken dish we got was way to expensive and had to many chillis then chicken. Nxt the taste of the chicken was quiet interesting, every time I chewed felt like I was chewing on bones and others parts I cannot even describe. The last picture shows the amount of chillis left over after the chicken all being taken out .

Friendly owner, we use Zomato Gold and they are as welcoming as ever. Not a lot of places do that. Price reasonable and portion is huge. Noodles is freshly made. Really like their sweet sour chicken on rice, mustard green chicken soup, spicy dumpling soup and spicy sauced wonton. We ordered beef noodle soup as well, beef was tender and taste good too. Around $60 for three people.

Given the 4.4 rating I expected so much better of this restaurant. The staff were friendly and service was quick but food was truly lacking (and I'm not even talking about portion sizes). We essentially got served noodles tossed in oil and dunked in oil. Just noodles. Not even a single leaf of a vegetable. It felt like a rip off.

2nd time here. Used zomato gold so extra savings. Last time I came here my toddler boy ate like 6 dumplings and lots of the noodles which surprised me as he can be quite fussy. Tried their braised beef noodle soup and dan dan noodles and both were pretty yummy. The dumplings had a unique spice that may not appeal to all, but was yummy. This time we ordered the sweet and sour pork and roast duck and both were very yummy. The dishes here come out exactly like the photos and also super quick, its pretty impressive.

Ordered the peking sauce pork, sweet & sour tenderloin and Dan Dan noodles. I must say, we were pretty disappointed at the quality of food given the numerous positive reviews - it tasted average at best to us. The portions sizes are quite big given if you utilise ZG. Enjoyed the Dan Dan noodles the most, although, you can easily get a tastier one somewhere else. Still pretty keen to give this place another go, seemed like we may have possibly just ordered the wrong dishes.

We ordered the crispy duck, black peppered chicken with capsicums, choy sum, braised pork belly with long beans and potatoes, finished with two dumpling desserts. I enjoyed the pork belly most. It is a tricky dish to make because New Zealand pork sometimes has a strong unpleasant smell. The chef managed to eliminate that by proper marination and five spices in the sauce. The crispy duck was slightly overdone, making it a little chewy. The black peppered chicken was nicely cooked. The original 4-star rating got spoiled by the desserts. The soup was barely sweetened. It made me wonder if that was the outcome of using Zomato Gold and even the sugar amount got discounted from the desserts. Definitely something for future improvement! Overall the food was slightly better than edible. 72.5/100 is my final score!

$23 for a dish that didn’t even fill half of a 750ml takeaway container, very pricy for an unbelievably small portion, and it’s way too salty. We’ve been ordering from them since they opened, don’t know whether they’re trying to cut food cost or what, it just gets more and more disappointing every time we order now, nor worth at all. The milk tea tastes like water........ won’t be back for a while.

13-July 2019: Take away quality not same as dine in. Neither taste nor quantity. Really felt disappointed in front of my friends today. 7-July 2019 I have seen this restaurant multiple times in my search for a good Chinese food and finally got chance to visit recently and I must appreciate cheerful staff and good service and food was tasty as expected. My little one loved the noodles here. Chilli chicken was extremely hot for us 😜 maybe now I know how hot it is.

A surprisingly good Chinese restaurant. Very clean dining environment. They have an excellent variety on the menu. It took us a while to get a table and to be waited, but dishes were reasonably quick to serve. Staff were friendly and very considerate. The sweet crispy duck is divine.The skin is crispy but not greasy, the meat is tender. The szechuan spicy chicken is also very delicious. Tender and well marinated with a little spice. The steamed pork rib was soft but the rice texture tasted a bit too solid and slightly bland. The dish portion was a bit small. The instant steam pot tasted a little bland and too garlicky. Despite what one of the earlier reviewers said, we never have any issues using zomato gold here, there are just a handful of items that you cannot use it on (mainly seafood). Very highly recommend this place :)

Very spicy Chinese food, hotter than I thought, we couldn’t finish the chicken because it was too spicy. Maybe we should order 1 🌶 dish instead of 2. But we took it away and finished it at the 2nd day. Overall it is not not bad. Good price too due we used zomato gold. No wonder why this restaurant has the high rating. We ordered the Fried prawn with garlic, Garlic pork ribs, Sweet & sour chicken and seafood fried rice. We all enjoyed our meal; all the dishes were empty but we talked about that the pork ribs was a little too sweet. The staff specifically asked how the pork ribs dish was when we went to pay. Okay, we were told that it is their new dish and she was seeking for the feedback. Panda provides the 'GOLD' service to the 'gold' members that changed my rating from 4 to 5. Keep it up!

We had the crispy duck buns and looked like a Peking duck kind of dish which it was but it was VERY dry. The portion size was okay for $28, they gave you 4 bao buns and enough duck. tried this place today because of the good ratings on Zomato and I am so impressed with the food, the service, environment and everything! I ordered a hot & sour class noodle soup which is delicious. Staff are all very friendly and helpful with what to order. The food took awhile to arrive, approx 10-15 mins. The restaurant has all the cute panda decorations even the chopstick rest is a panda! Great environment, it’s not too noisy and the whole experience was enjoyable, would definitely return!

Came here with my hubby and little one because of high rating in Zomato. My daughter loves the panda decoration and chopstick holder. Staff 5/5 Food 4/5 Decoration 5/5 Each of them has different pose, cute as per picture shows. We order Dry fried beans which is bit salty but cooked just enough. Boiled spicy hot pot doesn’t look spicy, but when u dip in the soup, then you will know it’s the taste it should be. I like the bamboo inside. Sweet and sour pork-sauce is great but the meat is over fried, making it hard. Steamed rice is not recommended. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Came here a few days ago because we have had a lot of recommendations to come here from friends. The overall experience was enjoyable, and I loved the panda decorations and chopstick holders - they were very cute. I absolutely loved the crispy boneless duck - which closely resembled Peking duck but without the veggies and replaced the pancake with buns. As someone who isn’t able to take spice very well - I got the Brasied Beef Noodles, which were slightly over cooked however the flavour was really nice (It was only 1/3 spice), I did find them under-salted, but each table does include a panda salt shaker so you can adjust it to your own liking. The fried and steamed buns we’re simple but tasted really nice! You’re able to get them either all fried, all steamed or Half and half! They come with condensed milk for you to dip them in which is really nice. Overall I had an enjoyable experience, and would definitely come back to try more of their food sometime.

Finally!!! An authentic Sichuan style spicy grilled fish is serving here in Browns Bay!!!! A high quality fish like blue cod tasted awesome in this mala(hot and numbing) based soup. The soup was so nice that I couldn't help ordering extra side dish, my favorites are tofu, bean sprout, Chinese cabbage and potato slices. Their signature noodles like braised beef noodle soup and dan dan noodle are superb! It's a good place to share good food and spending quality time with your loved ones.

Among these dishes I tried, my favorite ones were Spicy Wontons and Sliced Pork in Chilli and Garlic Sauce. If there were a little bit of more amount for each dishes, much better. I also wanted more cucumbers to go with pork slices. Unfortunately the bubble tea was not nice. I found it hard to make a conversation with my family because of the surrounding noise in the restaurant. Finding cute pandas on the table made me a big grin. They are so adorable!!

True to it’s name, the restaurant is decorated richly with pandas everywhere. I had two different types of noodles which were a very generous portion and dumplings. Only downside was that it took a very long time for the food to come out- had to wait half an hour.

You’ll will definitely enjoy the cozy environment here. Whether it’s children or elderly, individual or group, I’m sure you will find something suitable as they offer wide variety of choices. We ordered claypot eggplant and black pepper beef. Their food portion are considerably big, taste-wise it’s more of a 4/5. They are pretty decent in term of taste and quality but not mind-blowingly amazing. But hey, we only tried 2 out of 100 dishes. Have been here several times and I find this place a good value for money and cozy place to have a casual dinner at. The dishes are delicious, well priced and nice touches on the utensils. My parents tend to be critical with Chinese food places by they loved this place and that’s a plus! We ordered from here through Uber Eats. We ordered the Sichuan Dumplings, salt n pepper squid and braised pork noodle soup. The salt n pepper squid had the perfect batter and good balance between batter and squid. The squid wasn’t chewy. However would have liked a bigger portion. The Sichuan dumplings were my fave with the yummy sweet, spicy sour sauce. The braised pork was delish but there was way too much noodles and not enough broth and pork. Would def order from here again.

Great place for some good Chinese food. We had the Sichuan traditional boiled fish & peking sauce pork. The fish was amazing! The portion was big plus there werent any numbing spices which was pleasant for those who dont like the sichuan pepper (hua jiao). We tried this place for the first time on a Tuesday when discovering our usual place was closed for a few days for Chinese New Year. We are locals so we come to browns bay often for a meal, the decor was so cute and the restaurant was very clean. But the service wasn’t all that great, had to get up an get our menus and then after waiting for someone to serve us for a good 10mins I got up again and ordered at the counter, I didn’t see a drinks menu either I would have liked some green tea during our meal. The food was ok, the dumplings and sweet and sour chicken were the high light of the meal but our other dishes had no spice level so I was very disappointed as I’m the type of person who loves the heat.

Read about the good reviews and decided to give it a go. The decoration is very cute with Panda theme dishes and chopstick holder. We ordered a dry hot pot, boneless, crispy duck and Sichuan dumplings. Unfortunately, we didn’t think that the dishes have any wow factor especially the duck was a bit dry and so didn’t go well with the buns. The menu looks so good and we would really like to love this restaurant so it is a bit disappointing. Perhaps it is the dishes we picked? Anyway, we may give this another go next time we are around the area.

Went for lunch as basu was closed on Monday And was excited to see the ambiance of the place.ordered dumplings with sichuan sauce , Dan Dan noodles and beef rice set and brown sugar bubble tea Few Dumplings dint have any fillings inside . It was very sweet and was cold . This dish is supposed to be hot and warm. We thought may be other dish might be good but Dan Dan noodles was bitter , cold and with burnt taste which spoiled the whole food experience. Beef rice set was ok and brown sugar bubble tea has no pearls in it and was extremely sweet that we couldn’t even take more than a sip And it was $7 drink. Paid $45 for nothing and left the dishes after taking just a bite and walked out filled with hunger and feeling sick with the taste. Was really disappointed. The saddest point is the front of house person dint understand even a word of anything we said . But ambiance was beautiful. Classic example for looks can be deceptive.

Had never heard of this place until I was craving for some really good Mapo Tofu close to home. To be honest it was just our hunger that led us to this modestly decorated Chinese restaurant in browns bay. The food was rich and slurpy while the service quick and efficient. I’d definitely come back for some more especially since the food looks just like the ones on the menu, which is a rarity these days.

The interior is panda-themed which is sooo adorable! The chopstick holders, plates, chopsticks are all very amusing and can keep you well entertained while waiting for the food ahahha! The staff were really friendly and accommodating. We ordered a variety of dishes from their extensive menu such as the dan dan noodles, beef noodle soup, Sichuan chilli oil dumplings, Sichuan sliced beef tripe and many more. All these dishes I've mentioned are on the spicy side. But this restaurant also caters for non-spicy lovers of Sichuan food and surely you can note the level of spiciness with the staff. The beef noodle soup was really flavoursome and delicious. My personal favourite was the Sichuan chilli oil dumplings as the spiciness was not overbearing, balanced by a very slight hint of sweetness! However I personally found the portions to be a bit too small (or it could be that I have a big appetite hahahah) as I found myself craving for more food. Nonetheless, this is definitely a great place for affordable, delicious and authentic Sichuan food!

We were welcomed with friendly service and the cutest interior with little pandas scattered around everywhere. We ordered Dan Dan Noodles (成都担担面), Eggplant in a Clay Pot (鱼香茄子煲), Hot & Sour Glass Noodle Soup (四川酸辣粉), and Sichuan Chili Oil Dumplings (四川特色种水饺). The dan dan noodles were quite dry and sticky and I didn’t find it particularly enjoyable to eat. The eggplant was absolutely delicious, bursting with vibrant flavours. I found the flavour combination of the glass noodles to be a bit weird as I just felt like something didn’t quite balance. The dumplings itself were quite nice but the sauce was way too sweet which I found off-putting. Overall, I have to say that I was a bit disappointed as I was really intrigued by dishes this place had to offer and unfortunately only one of four that I tried managed to deliver.

However, they are a bit on the spicy side. If you're not overly adventurous with spicy food, I'd suggest to try their dishes and ask for no spice. (I'm normally a mild-medium person) Other than that, simple, nice and clean restaurant which I'd recommend to both Asian and European diners.

My husband and I have known about this place for some time, and we finally made it one night on a whim. We were really blown away. The food was absolutely fantastic, service was great, and the aesthetic of the space was very cool. The food is all meant for sharing and I think they call it small plate, but the portions are really generous. We had the beef noodles which were incredible and then the sichuan dumplings which was one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. Again, beyond the food the service was very good. We had a lot of questions and requests and were probably a little annoying, the waitress was super patient and nice. We can't wait to come eat here again!

It’s a new Chinese Sichuan cooking style restaurant. The decoration is so cute and they’re so many little ceramic pandas, some playing as chopsticks holders, some be painted on the Chinese fans and some sitting in the shelf. The restaurant gave me a positive impression, pretty bright and clean. Food all tastes pretty good and I’m impressed with those spicy oil wontons. Me and my bf we are the Eden noodles spicy wontons fans but this panda restaurant they did a good job as well. Very traditional and classical Sichuan flavour. We just had a quick dinner, they’re still so many good things on the menu waiting us to discover:).
