Nice and taste flat white at the morning. With sweet corn fritters. Very good flavor with sauce. Food and coffee total just $21. Where can find restaurant cheat and good quality like there!!!

Cajun chicken. Chicken tender and taste. Very good presentation, good coffee and service.

A great little cafe. The pancakes, chicken sandwich and smoothie were all real yum, and the service was prompt. Prices were pretty standard for what you'll find in a cafe, but I had a groupon so it was totally worth it. Will definitely be going back!

Went for lunch and had corn egg benedict with smoked salmon, which was tasty and a good portion size. The strawberry fruit smoothie was delicious and refreshing. Staff were friendly and prompt, and there was plenty of reading material available, including multiple copies of the herald which was nice. Will definitely come back in the future.

We were at Parnell looking for a restaurant with a higher rating. Unfortunately, a lot of them were still closed due to the New Year break. Anyway, Alphabet was not too at all bad. I had lamb kidneys with bacon, grilled tomato & Turkish bread, while my wife had grilled prawns risotto, in chicken stock, with veggie. Both came in fairly generous quantity; prawns & risotto were nicely cooked; kidneys were good. GF friand with raisins was just OK; coffees were hot & strong.
(Food - 3.5/5; Service - 3.5/5; Ambience 3.5/5)
Visited on 3 Jan 2018

We had lunch here using our grabone voucher. I love my chicken and mushroom creamy pasta and my partner love his big breakfast too! The place has nicer decor and the service are exceptional! Will definitely come back even without the voucher! 👍🏻

Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Foods:...

The cafe has really nice decoration and customer service was good. I tried the Corn eggs benedict and it was okay. My girl friend liked the Cajun chicken & avocado delight.

Customer Service: 7/10

Food: 6.5/10

Atmosphere: 8/10

Date: April 2016

We went there one weekend for brunch and had a Grabone voucher for 2 meals.

We were not disappointed at all. Great service as we were welcomed by waiter and guided to table, offered coffees and water.
After ordering our meals wait wasn't long at all considering cafe was quite packed as it was sunny and warm outside.
Enjoyed the food very much and wouldn't mind to come back again even without a voucher as they do run quite a few specials everyday and our experience was great.

Grab One voucher had us heading here when we normally wouldn't. Interesting array of usual suspects for breakfast and we had salmon scrambled eggs with avocado. Service was fast and friendly. Food was great, enjoyed my bagel and with the voucher this was a great deal. Although I would be happy pay full price for this one. Downsides coffee wasn't amazing although adequate and there were flies around our legs when we sat outside. All in all a very good experience. I will be back.

Great food & friendly service we will be going back with friends soon. I can recommend the prawn pasta for lunch & big brekkie or pancakes for breakfast or brunch.

The place is clean, spacious and bright. The waiters and waitresses are well mannered and service is prompt. The food was delicious and well presented. Really enjoyed it here and will be back at some stage.

I ordered a large Cappuccino and a low carb breakfast dish.
The coffee was surprisingly so good and I thoroughly enjoyed every sip of it. The food though was not up-to the mark.

The low carb breakfast was a combination of sliced chicken breast, tomato relish, poached egg, balsamic molasses, green salad, grilled tomato and braised field mushroom. The chicken was tasty but slightly over done with the braised mushrooms tasting a bit too sharp for my liking.

The staff were very friendly with the service also super fast despite it being a busy Friday morning.

All in all - not a bad experience and if I come back here it will be totally for a different dish next time.

P.s - Had a super sexy car parked outside this place.

Popped down for a work lunch. Food was good and well presented. I ordered a seafood salad. The place is a little cramped but I can appreciate that it is just the size of the Cafe.

The vegetarian pide was sumptuous and very reasonable. They have a variety of $11 plated lunch as well. Coffee was of good standard too! Definitely would be back.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch here today. The staff was welcoming and greeted us immediately serving us water. We opted for a Cajun chicken & avocado delight and a grilled prawn risotto. Both meals were very tasty with plenty of meat and prawns.

Food was good, service was fast, and meal was great value for money. Interior looks cheap - those plastic looking tables need to go. The foreign waitress was quite quiet and standoffish as she served us... However a relatively pleasant experience.

So delicious. Atmosphere is nice. Food is good. Staff are friendly. Great place for a Sunday brunch or any sort of pleasant outing. Would definitely go again. We ordered an Eggs Benedict, Cajun Chicken and Avocado delight, and Eggs Alphabet-scrambled style with Bacon.

As with Movenpick parnell I tend to come to Alphabet more in the spring and summer months so its been a year since I was last here. Service is still ok level wise you cant get a more nicer smile on the head waitress when the early morning sun streams in towards the counter so thats gotta be worth half a point credit. :)
So I was talking about the food right? Mocha was perfect compared to C Club effort yesterday. 5/5
The eggs benedict is a must order but I didnt cos I'd eaten a bit earlier in the morning. Sweet corn fritters were divine. I remember the last time I ordered and still use a great recipe. Soft perfect taste balanced with a fancy pants salad and a plentiful serving. The salad is all quality ingredients and I love how they put the salad dressing as a border so I dont need to overdose on the vinegary overpowering the green salad taste. 5/5
Alphabets' scrambled eggs and bacon with toasted ciabatta was the perfect eggs. Top marks to the chef but the bacon looked a little precooked or overcooked if I was picky but im suppose to be if it benefits other readers. 5/5
The outdoor tables are always my preferred seating as I bring Bells my dog. Dog and child friendly and outdoors is less noisy as the coffee grinder drives my nuts. Plentiful in newspapers and polite customers as well makes a wonderful breakfast and brunch to lunch venue. My favourite in Auckland and single gents be well groomed if you want to see that million dollar smile!!

During a quick catch up with friends we ducked into Alphabet for a quick coffee and perhaps a snack.

I was attracted to this very pleasant looking little Cafe as they had a sign out claiming to have "the best coffee". (That's quite literally how the sign read, a self given award as opposed to anything official).

The deli offerings did'nt look overly appealling so I stuck with simply having a flat white. I've got to say the sign was'nt kidding. This was the best coffee ive had in a while and give it a A+++.

The service was very competent and friendly.

The only reason im not giving this place the full 5 is because I (nor anyone else in my group) had anything to eat and I can't give a 5 on Coffee, Service and decor alone. When I do next time, I will be updating my review score.

Highly reccomend as a great venue for a quick catch up with friends and perhaps more.
Ventured into Parnell cafes now, and had the chance to try one close by.

As per usual, I ordered the eggs benedict with Canadian bacon and a side of avocado, whilst the boyfriend opted for it with salmon and a side of sausage.

Unfortunately, whilst the presentation was admirable, I don't understand designing the plate with chocolate sauce...... It becomes inedible for me when it touches/mixes with my food. It was slightly disappointing to have just English muffins, eggs and hollandaise sauce (which has a very sweet taste to it, nothing like I've tasted before) for the price of $15.50 - and the side add ons at a cost of $4 made it a very pricey and unfulfilling breakfast; this didn't include the cost of the coffee either. I feel the coffee was the only highlight of my experience there (food wise).

Service was nice and the location/cafe itself was very bright and welcoming. I believe the business is privately/family owned and has that endearing feeling when you're there which I love.

I have been 3 or 4 times for lunch recently. Good tasty food, well sized portions & keenly priced. Place is clean and tidy, nice and warm on a winters day too. Worth a look if you're a bit tired from the other fare in Parnell.

Had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. The waiter was very pleasant and efficient. The food and coffee were good (usual story though... wish I had've ordered what my girlfriend had... a very tasty omelette). Only downside was the robotic guy behind the till who couldn't even manage a "thanks" when I paid.
