I love this place - quirky little cafe with personality, where you'll be greeted with a smile, you'll find a great coffee and delicious food prepared with love.

I came to this cafe twice. It is recommended by a friend of mine who once spent a whole day here. Eggs Benedict is good! I also impressed about the decor and song choices. Pretty cozy to stay here in a long hours. Definitely will come again.

Whilst on my way to the train station I discovered a new cafe for espresso which was recommended to me, Wake Up Cafe on Broadway. It was a very pleasant surprise entering the vibrant and kitschy styled cafe which met my senses in a happy and positive way. My extra large soy latte was beautiful and this was a perfect find for en route coffee after work. The coffee cups were very impressive too! Their sweet treats of caramel slice and chocolate brownie are simply divine and baked on site! The service was wonderful too, so I’d like to try their food too next time. Highly recommended!

Great cafe, great location, I love the interiors, the deco and the feels of this place, such a cool retro vibe. They do pretty good coffee, last time I went they were using society coffee which is a pretty solid choice. Food here is very generous in portions and tasted pretty good. The interior aside, I don't think I'd say this place is amazing but it's a very nice cafe to have a sit down and just relax for hour or two.

My new favorate one, like a pretty, naughty and quirky girl, the bingsu is sooo... delicious, the staff is very friendly and helpful, 5 stars!

A little pleasant heaven with great coffee. I ordered delicious pasta and ice coffee, they're both so good! Cool pop art stuffs everywhere, absolutely a fancy place, I'll be back soon. It's so warm inside, when a rainy day.

Fab food

Popped up inside the former Oriental tea site, Newmarket latest cafe is much different from the others and has best of cafe dishes and/or desserts listed on their menu. <br/> I just had a cup of coffee here and not bad eh. Must try the dishes next too, so watch this space fans.

Would love to come back for the coffee again, the customer was great and it’s quiet environment really good if you want to enjoy your weekend without disturbing. The ambience is really cool as well. Love that figure of Mr. Walter White is looking out at the place 😀

Pretty cafe in a great location in Newmarket! Had coffee and a scone here only but would love to come back and try more! What I did like about this place is the friendly service and the decor! Suc a fun cafe! Came here on a Monday afternoon and service was a little slow. I suspect they have probably recently reopened after the lockdown but being the only ones in the cafe at the time, could do with it being slightly faster. Nonetheless, nice place and would be back!!

I came here after checking out their online menu on Zomato first and was hanging out for the smashed edamame. Unfortunately they no longer had it on the menu I so ordered the smashed avocado instead. Overall I found the dish to be a bit bland and not that filling.

We always love a hearty and heavy breakfast and Wake up cafe is now one of favourite cafes! Cool ambience and kid friendly. Staff were accommodating. Food is superb! All in all wonderful experience. Thanks!

Vietnamese Beef Bowl is the bomb! Really like the savoury, sweet, salty vermicelli bowl. It's like a salad with lots of flavour! Must try.

Super impressed by their interior design , photos , drawings and of course their food as well ! Great presentation and taste . Staffs are super friendly and kitchen serves us meal very quick as well . Will definitely come back and recommend friends go there :)

This is another Instagramable place in a beautiful Parnell location. Interesting artwork on the walls, and there are heaps of things to look at to. The Beatles music made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We ordered Korean Crispy Chicken, Kimchi Fries, Triple Thick Franchais for brunch and they're full of flavours. Their flat white and mochaccino were good too. Very reasonable price. A really cool spot on Parnell with super interesting decors! Every space has details of this and that and you won’t get bored sitting in there. The food was also delicious with generous quantity. Coffee was alright for my taste, not that great as some reviews here mentioned. Service was friendly and nice. If you are in the area, I think it worths to check this place out.

I've been a few times and have tried most of their dishes like their K bbq shrooms - absolutely love the way they integrate Korean flavours and ingredients with the general brunch dishes 😍 They have different mushrooms 🍄 ranging from buttons to portobellos served with confit garlic, whipped feta and the most lip smacking sauce - bulgogi dressing on kumara sourdough. 🍞 At first I wasn't 100% sold on the combination but after tasting the slight sweetness of the sauce on the uniquely intense flavour of mushrooms, I was in love with the dish 😋 it was filling yet creative and presented beautifully. They have amazing service with super adorable interior!

Amazing quiet little cafe in Parnell Auckland. Went in for breakfast. As we walked in the two girls there greeted us witb a warm welcome and straight away the warm air was inviting as it was very cold and rainy outside. The restaurant has memobilias of music artist from all genres, from Bob marley to elvis presley. All hanging along its walls. It does say on the sign outside wake up gallery cafe. We sat next to a toasty heater and I ordered the “WAKE UP GRANOLA” and hubby ordered the “FULL MONTY”. My Granola was delicious! Had a mix of nuts, granola, fruits and yoghurt and i can say it was never ending eating it as it had everything as u do with a granola. Hubbys Full Monty is just a big breakfast, sausages were cooked nicely, poached eggs were cooked to perfection, toast was nice and bacon as bacon is. I asked for the POLLOS HERMANOS chicken but they had non in as other comments has suggested in their reviews. Really wanted to try it cos of the Breaking Bad movie. I ordered the korean chicken instead and was ok. Was nice and quiet for Sunday. Would return for the POLLOS HERMANOS chicken. also hot chocolate was yummy! ZOMATO GOLD was a plus! Thank you.

Went on a weekend with my family and the place was really small and crowded during weekend. Waited for quite long for food but food was okay. I’ve ordered the mushroom however it was way too sweet for me, will love it if it’s salty. Nothing really special just a typical brunch place. Coffee was great by the way!

This place had a nice vibe and had a good selection of food - both menu and cabinet food. The staff was very kind and hospitable. They were kind enough to make us rhe kimcheese fries when the kitchen was about to close. So we do appreciate that greatly. We had a beef vietnamese bowl, kbbq shrooms and kimcheese fries. The beef vietnamese bowl was very nice and fresh. It was also a good portion with the right amounts of each component. The kimcheese fries was good. However, I think it could do with a little more kick from the kimchi (I understand though that some people wouldn't think the same). The dip it comes with saved it for me though as it gave a nice peppery tang. The kbbq shrooms was quite underwhelming. It was okay. There were some components on the menu that I looked for - namely leek and whipped feta. I think they were missing on my plate. It was possibly incorporated into the mushrooms but they were not potent enough. I was looking forward to them and was disappointed to have not had it. The confit garlic in it was present and nicely incorporated. I feel like I was expecting more of a smoky bbq taste from the dish similar to what would be had from a kbbq, which I didn't really get. Overall, we had an okay experience. We would definitely come back for the vietnamese bowl and maybe give a chance to the other dishes on the menu.

Just AMAZING. The BBQ mushroom is so tasty. Also found Pollos Hermanos fried chicken on the manu!! As a big fan of Breaking bad I’m so surprised! A bit unfortunate they ran out of the chicken,will definitely have to come back to try:)

Quirky place with friendly team. I had the Monk Bowl with beef. It was full of different and delicious flavours. Give it a try for something a bit different and on the healthier side. Definitely recommended!

A very cute cafe in parnell offer Vietnamese fusion food. It was very very quite though on a weekend afternoon. <br/><br/>We had egg Benedict and a big breakfast, food are not bad, and staff are very nice and friendly.<br/>I also discovered their dinner menu which is mostly burger and it looks great. So will be keen to come back and have dinner :)<br/>

Although the food took a while to be served, the Vietnamese Beef Bowl I ordered was super delicious. The generous portions of the noodles, beef and vegetables were included in the dish. The nuoc cham dressing was the highlight of the taste for the dish. It had a tangy taste, which represented the Vietnamese aspect of it. Loved the presentation of the food too. Friends also ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger and Eggs Bene. Service was slow, but quite friendly!

It was nice to have a warm greeting from the friendly waitress as soon as I walked in. We ordered the Triple Thick Francais and the prawn omelette which were both very well-presented and delicious. The side of scrambled eggs was also very yummy. Service was great which made our meal even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great brunch place and would definitely recommend!

After seeing Wake Up Cafe on Zomato Gold I knew I had to go (the photos of their food and interior were too eye and stomach catching to ignore). Upon arriving I was greeted and acknowledged by one of the staff called Sunny.<br/><br/>This is honestly the funkiest, most aesthetically pleasing cafe I have ever been to. I love all of the artwork and decor, everything worked together to create the most unique space. <br/><br/>The menu plays on the names of cult favourites in fun and inventive ways, that make reading the menu an experience in itself. <br/><br/>My friend and I both ordered the Triple Thick Francais and oh my days I could already tell it was going to bless my tastebuds before I even ate any of it. 10/10 presentation, everything on the plate was so beautiful it looked like it could be on the wall with the rest of the art. THE BRIOCHE was so crunchy and soft and fluffy it was incredibly pleasing to bite into. All of the elements on the plate worked together in unison, but also shone brightly when eaten alone. <br/><br/>We were very lucky to have Sunny look after us when we visited Wake Up Cafe, she was a huge part of my experience and a big contributor to my five star rating. Sunny was very welcoming and attentive without smothering us. She made me feel like 1) she was happy to be there and 2) I was welcome to be there.<br/><br/>I highly recommend this cafe, even just sitting in there is an experience itself. I can’t wait to come back and try some of their drinks, cabinet food and lunch! <br/><br/>Thank you for having us today.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant of all time. Truly. Everything about Wake Up Café makes me so happy every single time I go. The food is always a mouthwatering delight. The amazing staff is genuine, true, patient and kind. The atmosphere is lovely and super cool. I love the Wake Up Café!

fantastic barista with the brilliant customer service skill and friendly environment is one of the factor that pulls me to this cafe every time...fantastic food and lovely beverage menu. The satisfying environment makes me feel like I am back in some cafes of my home town. one of my favorite dish that is available in this cafe is Vietnamese beef ball.

Cute line out there! Bought half price coupons for lunch with friends. It made more nice for the food and environment. But hardly find the car park there at Parnell and New market area. Will recommend friend to buy the coupons and go.

This cozy little cafe is located in the middle of Parnell Road. The counter is made from a vintage car, colour table and chairs and one of the kind cushions. The place is full of arts and paintings, which you can purchase.<br/><br/>Food are surprisingly very tasty. Not a great selection to choose from though.<br/><br/>Their alcohol menu is not always available. Depends whether the licensed manager is on duty or not.<br/><br/>Revisited the cafe today, they seem to have changed their menu. The Vietnamese beef noodle was delicious, beef well spiced and tender. The wagyu beef burger was yummy too, good quality patty. This place is really good. I love the coffee and food especially the kitchen food. All our friends and family enjoy the lunch here. I went there few times the environment made me wanted to come back. The only thing i am not really happy was two girl staff keep chatting in their own language sometime very loud and one of the taller girl always playing with her phone with her head down. It happened twice i stand at the counter and i need to raise her attendtion. If it can be improved that would be great. But overall it is a very good cafe and i will recomend it to all my friends and family. Sweet.

Love this cafe. Not only “a dam fine cup of coffee” (love the Agent Cooper cups) & great food but an amazing atmosphere full of fab art and curios, friendly staff and good for kids. Love the beautiful iced biscuits for kids & that the cabinet food is all homemade. A favourite cafe!

Beaut little spot on Parnell Road. They have put a considerable amount of thought and effort in to the decor and it looks great. We've stopped by for coffee and snacks and each time it's been a pleasure. Haven't tried food from their kitchen as yet but making it a point to do so soon.
