Review Blue Elephant Thai Restaurant Clevedon - Auckland

Have been meaning to try this place for ages now after friends recommended it. We were not disappointed with the food! Great flavours and portion sizes. Unfortunately we had a long wait for mains as we didn’t realise they were waiting for the 6 year old to finish his entree before bringing mains out (they didn’t know he takes an hour to eat). It is quite pricey, would be good if they included the price of rice in the dish as seems to be the case elsewhere. But service was good, staff were friendly and we’ll definitely come back sometime.

Lovely delicious food. Recommend the red duck curry and pad thai. 👌 Unfortunately the steam sticky rice banana dessert was unavailable, even though we were one of the early people dining in. Will need to come back to try this and their other dishes.

The food is amazing and staff wonderful. Beautiful place for a quite lunch, but also great for dinner. Blue Elephant Spicy Crispy Pork was very delicious. 10/10

Always satisfied and impressed with everything here at Blue Elephant Clevedon.Good atmosphere and Thai authentic decorations make me feel like coming back in Thailand already.Very friendly staffs and gave us lots of helpful informations about their foods on menu.Big portion of each main dish and affordable price absolutely worth it. It will always be a stop I must go when I drive down to south from the city.See you again very soon!👌

Had the pad thai with Chicken, the portion is large enough for two adults - this was not made clear initially - a waiter came around offering rice, I was surprised with a bill for it at the end. Taste 4/5 for a pad thai, had better elsewhere but pad thai and rice together is a total vibe. Cheers for having us.

This place is truly exceptional and a must try for anyone who likes authentic Thai food. Abundance of parking. Restaurant is a bit small and bookings are recommended. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Food is truly amazing. Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Went right after lockdown ended so we were the only ones there at first. Staff were super friendly and excellent service. Food was great, herb wraps were really unique. Nice decor and atmosphere. Wish there were some more interesting non alcoholic drinks or mocktails.

Excellent restaurant in Clevedon. The shared entree platter very special. The main of crispy fried pork and spicy king prawns fantastic.

I’m a firm believer of customer service and the impact it can make on your experience at any given establishment. It goes without saying that Blue Elephant have some of the most hospitable, polite and accommodating staff around. Karen and her team made our time here extremely comfortable and were always catering to any needs that we required. They even took the time to have a chat with us, which we found to be extremely thoughtful. The facility is very tidy and ambient. We ate here on quiet a cold night and were pleased to find the restaurant was warm and was pleasantly lit. (Special mention to the beautiful fireplace located towards the rear side of the restaurant!) Most important part of a restaurant review is the food, and I can happily say that the food was delicious. We ordered 3 entrees (Prawn Cakes, Satay Chicken Skewers & Spring Rolls) and 3 mains (Peanut Curry, Masaman Beef Curry and Pad Thai) and each dish was great. If I had to critique anything, it would probably be the pricing. A bit expensive, but given the service we received, and the quality of the meals, we felt it was justified. I highly recommend giving this place a try! Thank you to the team at Blue Elephant. We look forward to dining with you all again in the near future.

Food was Devine and worth the price. However the decor and toilets dont meet the standard of the prices. Service great altho the continous filling of water glasses was too much, easier to put jug on table for people to help themselves. Very friendly and polite staff.

Amazing food, lovely staff

First of all the staff were just exceptional. I couldn't speak any more highly their professionalism. The food was amazing and I will definitely return as a regular. Keep up the great work guys.<br/>
