Review Old Bakehouse Biergarten & Lounge Cafe - Auckland

Amazing venue, really cool vibe. Staff are great and good music choice. Food menu was excellent. Huevos rancheros was delicious. Cocktail menu is also extensive. We only went for brunch but definitely going back for dinner and cocktails!

I have been to Sweet affairs twice now and each time it has been amazing. Their food is flavourful and does not take long to reach the table. They have a wide range of cocktails that are amazing and beautifully presented and also offer a happy hour from 2pm to 8pm with a range of cocktails for $9. They also offer high quality shisha (hookah) at an affordable price. I really can’t fault this place. The outdoor courtyard is great for casual dining and drinking in the sun but the inside of the restaurant beautifully decorated and intimate making it perfect for fine dining. There is also a cozy cocktail lounge hidden in the back with brick walls and a cellar look. My friends and I ended up spending the whole afternoon and evening in all areas of the restaurant. Their staff are extremely professional and went above and beyond to ensure that my friends and I had a great time. I really suggest you check this place out.

Very delicious food and the staff are so lovely. Shout out to the two male servers with beautiful coloured hair. Only thing I’d like to change is to install some more outdoor lighting please. Thank you for the splendid night 😋

The Old Bakehouse Biergarten and Lounge is nothing like I have seen or tasted in Auckland before! The first photo shows their German Inspired Big Breakfast Platter 🙌🏼 This meal was sensational as it has everything you need and more! I’ve never tried Vienna Bratwurst or Bavarian Fine Meatloaf before and they were both absolutely divine 🔥 I also got to try the freshly baked Salmon Quiche which had a flakey, buttery exterior and a creamy flavoursome centre. For dessert their Apple Strudel is a must try as it’s stacked with heaps of apple and comes with a perfect scoop of vanilla ice-cream 🍨 Thank you so much to the team at Old Bakehouse for being so nice and providing a 10/10 experience 💖

Love the food and cocktails here! The red velvet cake and garlic prawn and the guacamole egg roll(sorry forgot the name...... is tasty and a must try!

Lovely German cafe serving delicious creamy coffee and with a selection of German breakfasts. We order a Tradie breakfast, which was fried eggs and Bavarian meatloaf on sourdough, and a Bavarian breakfast, which was weisswurst and bretzel. Both great. German owner/cook certainly helps! The knitting and knitters add to a relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Looking forward to going again.

Sweet Affairs is great for a date night. The atmosphere is cozy and the cultural backdrop provides for a unique and interesting night. The drinks are good too!

Lovely and intimate. Off the beaten track so it feels like a hideaway. Great staff, lovely drinks and various DJs start nice and early. They had South American music while we were there...very nice.

Went over and above. Thank you for organising the vegan version of the falafel. It was delicious. The staff were super attentive. The long iced teas we're gold. Will definitely come back and would definitely recommend.

Amazingly comfortable atmosphere, super friendly service and lovely food. I've tried a lot of pretzels in NZ and these ones are the best I've found so far!! Great to have you in Parnell! :) Will you be offering knitting classes / groups at all?

As a German living in Auckland, I really enjoyed the treats from home. The cheesecake was really delicious (just like grandma used to make it) and the whole atmosphere was pure comfort. Definitely coming back for some breakfast!

Consistently good experience! It is now officially winter and nowhere else will satisfy you as much with home made cooking and cakes as here! The coffee is exceptional and so is the service and the atmosphere. A great mix of eclectic, hearty German dishes, subtle and lovely interior design and a welcoming craft environment! Oh - can't wait for the Oktoberfest!!! :D

This is a great cozy cafe in the heart of parnell! The mushroom and pork stew was soooo good I wanted to go back and have it again the next day! Lovely people and so nice even for a beginner to feel comfortable and relaxed knitting in a cafe! Will see you guys again soon 😉🌿🏡✨🥇🥇🥇

Great food, great coffee, great staff and great ambiance. The staff take the time to have a chat to you and it is a nice friendly environment. It has a real good quirky feel to it and is tucked away in a very nice courtyard.

Really nice German sodas! Staff were lovely and welcoming. They close at 3 but they extend hours and let people in after. Would come back for sure! <br/>
