Food was really flavourful and portion sizes were good! There was indoor and outdoor seating on the balcony with great views of Titirangi village. The staff were polite. Great, relaxed, familily friendly atmosphere. Would recommend!!

Curry is good, we enjoyed it. The rest is ok, nothing spark a joy. The seafood in the pad Thai is not fresh and not that many of prawns. We finished all the dishes though, probably because we are starving. Hard to find a car park and the service was just so so.

Great tasting curries. All curries we ordered were exceptional. We ordered F4 (Spicy girl), F6 (Pad ped pik geang) And Redy Curry. We had the sticky rice and mango sorbet for dessert and it tasted amazing too. Overall a great experience. Definitely would visit again.

The food was very delicious! We ordered Panang Curry & Pad Thai. It was a winner for us. But sadly the customer service is so bad. The one who served us was an indian guy who doesn’t know about customer service. Very rude and “pushy”. <br/>But good thing the food was nice. So that was the saving grace.

We went to Thai Chef's for the very first time recently, and I was mightily surprised at how so very good their food was! We ordered the Choo Chee whole fish, Naughty Pig and Bangkok Showtime dishes along with rice. I tell you, the Choo Chee dish is truly one of the most unique and distinctly delicious dish we've ever had. The red curry paste is warm (we ordered mild) and sensuously savoury. The Naughty Pig dish was also amazing, with unique crispy skin pork in milky, salty-sweet curry taste. The Bangkok Showtime dish was nice, but more ordinary. While the price is a little on the high side, it is certainly worth a treat, given the uniqueness of the dish. I highly recommend them!

Jasmine rice looks more like basmati rice. Tom Kha soup is not that authentically Thai- you don’t add cabbage. Sexy Little Duck is delicious. Other than that, we are very happy.

Came for dinner on a Tuesday night. Took a while to be seated and got put right in the corner. We ordered the duck curry and the satay type chicken. Both were delicious but I ordered a mild and it was hotter than my partners medium. Okay service a bit slow but otherwise pretty good. Will come back again

Tried the resto because of Zomato Gold. The staff are great, very attentive and polite. The food was amazing! Finally found a pad thai that's similar to what I had in Bangkok. Tried the beef pad thai and it was delicious. Crispy Chicken and Tom Yum was also great. Will definitely be coming back.

Such an awesome restaurant! We dined in on Friday, 13/09. We've ordered tom yum with prawns ane Naughty Pig. Both generous portions and very delicious! Tom yum was full of flavour and had a lot of big juicy prawns in it. Pork in the Naughty Pig was crispy yet very soft and juicy. Friendly staff and great interior. Will be back for sure! We used Zomato gold and had no issues with it. Thank you Thai Chef restaurant!!

Waiting 5-10 min to seating by one of the four staff members, had to seat myself in the end. Took another 5-10 min for someone to take our order and then another 40 min for my food! Saw a child with bare feet inside the kitchen standing on tables. Food was good but came at separate so food got cold as well. Takeaway is good but don’t bother with dine in.

We ordered the mixed entree, Tom Kha with chicken, Duck curry and coconut rice.<br/>All were really delicious. The entrees super hot (deep fried mind you) they were each really tasty. Maybe another option of dipping sauce would have been nice to sit alongside the plum(?) - only so they didn’t all end up tasting the same.<br/>The Tom Kha was like a Tom yum with coconut milk, it was a little salty for my liking, but my meal was the duck curry, so I didn’t really mind! My duck curry was delicious! It had pineapple and lychee - yum!<br/>The coconut rice was delicious with it.<br/>We used zomato gold, so with that in mind it was fantastic value at $36.50 all up for 2 people.<br/>Recommend as a nice little local place to have a warm dinner on a cool night

We were initially hesitant to visit The Thai Chef's Restaurant, based on some early Zomato reviews. After some debate we decided to give this Titirangi restaurant a try. We are really, really glad we did. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The ambience was warm and cheerful. The food we chose was truly delicious. Tom Ka Gai for starter was wonderful. We chose a Red Curry and Naughty Pig for our main courses. Both were amazing. Based on our experience we will definitely return to this wonderful gem.

Ordered chicken larb and crispy pork. Both dishes were served cold besides the rice. The crispy pork salad was overcooked and almost impossible to chew.

Food was quite good, although I found the yellow curry a bit too sweet for traditional thai curry and found it a little strange that they used frozen mixed veges (peas, carrots, corn) in the curry rather than fresh vegetables. The chicken satay skewers and curry puffs were delicious and so were the noodles we got (I think the name of the dish was ‘see you later’).

One of the best Thai places around ! Came here on a date night with my husband and it did not disappoint !We had their prawn cakes , Cashew nut chicken and red curry . All were AH MAH ZING . Customer service was on point and the flavour , spices and taste was mind blowing . Definitely will come back , it is a west auckland gem ❤️

Not follow Zomato gold rules. Had checked with zomato customers service. They asked customers to only order from the main menu and also need to order at least three main course of four people. (Big portion only, small course not allowed) attached zomato gold rules as pic.

Not obey zomato rules for using Zomato Golds. We are 3 persons. We go for lunch and order form lunch meun and then told us not allowed if using zomato. That's fine.Then we order two main dishes and two small dishes from its dinner meun. After order, told us we need to order at least three mains if want to use 2 zomato gold members. It spent us 30mins there in ordering and then the staff told us to speak with boss in the call. Really wasting time. Not good experience.

Though I am not a very fan of thai cuisine, visited this place yesterday for our friends bday treat. And I just loved the food here, it was super delicious. The restaurant ambience were beautiful with authentic style interiors. The staff were too friendly n polite, the Manager helped us with the food selection n stuff, he was very kind enough. The food names here are very intresting n funny. Loved the place and food overall. Best place to dinein. Highly recommended for thai food lovers.<br/>

I went with my friend tonight not having much expectation but omg we were both surprise with how awesome the food was. Presentation of the food was excellent, taste was great and staff were so friendly and helpful with choosing the right menu for us. What a shame we both forgot to take some photo of the food. I booked a table via zomato and the table booking was confirmed right away. The place was nice and cosy, with outdoor seating avaliable (it was also sheltered outdoor seating). The staff were very nice, however it did take a while for them to come and take our order - even though it wasn't that busy. We had to then wait about 30 mins for our food to arrive to our table. However, the food was amazing! I had ordered the green curry, with mild spice & beef as my meat, and it was very good! Food was full of flavour. I was kinda suprised though at rice wad not included with the curry (you have buy it seperatly). The green curry was on the smaller side compared to the price, but overall, it was very nice. The food, atmosphere and stafg were very lovely. Would 10/10 come back again ☺

Great place, extremely friendly staff and yummy food. Can’t complain about anything. Had their soup and starters but didn’t take a pic the soup gets a 10/10! Had to walk a little bit to find a parking for longer than 60mins +. We went on Sunday evening so it wasn’t crazy busy. I heard it’s usually really full and we had reserved a table before going out, to ensure we are not disappointed.

We usually do takeouts from this restaurant. Finally did a dine in. Surely one of the best Thai food in West Auckland. Nice deco and very friendly and helpful staff. Was my dads bday so the manager did not charge us for the dessert chocolate cake. 👍 thank you. Food is always stop on with good size portions.

Took 30 plus to get my drink had to ask twice and another 10 to get my appetiser ordered at same time was chicken satay skewers was slightly raw in the middle (come on really) ! Thai chefs???? A large table ordered at least 15 mins after me and my partner and they have all been served we are still waiting for our mains 50 min after- main has arrived with no rice as I ordered, customer service is crap and slow , I ordered a hot green curry hot was ok my partner got a beef salad witch is dry and under seasoned and lacked salad and coriander ..... won’t be back

Not good at all and super disappointing. We like many others were excited to see a new restaurant in Titirangi, but wow, what a total disappointment. Our drinks order was wrong, tired to correct the order a few times and the staff member was completely baffled so we completely gave up. One dish was raw, nothing came out in a sequence and was randomly delivered to the table. One dish was delivered twice, totally over priced and such a let down. We ended up leaving half way through and will never go back. Sorry guys, but super disappointing.

Have ordered different forms of takeaways from Thai Chef since it landed in Titirangi. The pad thai is ok. The cashew nut chicken is good, but is a small serving and doesn’t come with rice. Ordered the chicken red curry tonight. Was very surprised when my $3 rice came in a plastic bag in a plastic container. Looked to be some kind of microwave rice. It was so stuck together and sticky that I could barely even get it apart to eat the rice with my curry. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Food was decent but the service so terrible. Ridiculously slow, one waiter serving on all the tables outside and waited over an hour for our food. Only asked our table for drinks once in the hour and forgot many things we had ordered food and drink wise. Would seriously not recommend!

Yes yes yes!!! Thai in Titirangi! Very exciting! <br/>Went for lunch with my sister, and I was very impressed. Extremely well priced, 12.50 to be precise, for a very large portion and an absolutely delicious dish. Very friendly service, so nice and food came super fast. Don’t know why people are not liking this place. <br/>Only thing I could say about the place is the decor and feel is a bit cheap and tired. I mean it’s alright! It passes but compared to all the surrounding cafes/restaurants which are very flash and the interior design is on point, I thought, personally this place just felt a bit meh. <br/>Food though.. yes.

Coming back from holiday, decided to stop here for a meal. I ordered Ginger chicken and my wife ordered a vegetarian dish. The dishes arrived within 10 minutes of placing our order. Mine arrived with no rice. This was an 'extra' dish. <br/><br/>The best way to describe the food is extremely poorly prepared "Takeaways on a plate." A bowl of poorly presented cut vegetables in a runny sauce. <br/><br/>Alas, seems like this restaurant is destined to provide the same poor quality of food as its predecessor.
