Great service, amazing food with ample portions, totally worth the visit. Definitely would come back! We got Lamb Biryani, Vegetarian Cauliflower with Curry, Garlic Naan and Plain Naan. 🔥

My family go here regularly to enjoy Prawns Masala and Kasoori Gosht and the owner knows their taste. The Garlic Naan was very nice with my Rogan Josh. We took our byo along. The restaurant has a pleasant ambience inside.

This is my favourite Indian restuarant. The food is delicious and consistently good!! The lamb nawabi and the lamb rogan josh are soo yummy! The restaurant owner is absolutely lovely and gives amazing service everytime we go. I can highly reccommend Curry Leaf Onehunga if you are wanting delicious, fresh, tasty food.

This is a hidden gem in the heart of Onehunga . Really great food with amazing service. I will highly recommend this place. Fresh food and very tasty. I have been visiting and will visit again. Thanks for the great experience.

Had tandoori chicken & a cheese naan to take away. Loved it, really good. Hope to do this weekly & try all their menu
Monz Claydon
Never had a bad meal here, delicious food every single time. Best butter chicken in Auckland 🙏 also try the tandoori chicken

I had a garlic naan and the Methi malai paneer that came with a pyramid of rice. I wanted the dish very hot but it was made mild. The food was really tasty though. I would of liked more garlic on the naan even though it was small. I will definitely go back and would recommend this dish.

Had a heart-filling lunch @curry leaf. Masala chai served hot and strong! Recommend their chikken tikka masala and aloo paratha. Definitely going back :) It's a shame that there wasn't many people around at lunchtime. #supportlocal #bestindianfood

Great Curry's, I had the fish Masala & Dal makhani. The food was fantastic probably the best Curry in Auckland. Five Stars.

I've lived in the neighbour more than half my life and im appalled that i had not tried this earlier! The staff was soooo friendly, and when they brought our curries out - my goodness soooo delicious! One of my fav indian restaurants!

I've never had such a perfectly spiced, so well cooked and highly satisfying Indian meal before. We had the Banquet for 2 and it was simply amazing. A massive plate of starters (4 different dishes with 5 sauces) and four beautiful bowls of Daal, Beef Vindaloo, Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken as main course. Heaven. So much good food, my partner and I were both so happy and full after dining here.
Chandu
Food was absolutely fantastic I love there music great atmosphere sure I will be back thanks for good food.

Best curry place in town. Have never been disappointed with any meals and have been eating here for years. Mon-Wed is great to dine in with the specials they have.
Robyn Gaskin
I've been living in Onehunga for over a decade and I wonder now why the Curry Leaf hadn't made it on my radar. Amazing food, really impressed with the banquet for 2. So much to try and each dish lovely. Added bonus mobile eftpos.

Not impressed with this place at all. <br/><br/>Service was terrible, the food was just as bad . <br/>We had a butter chicken , malai kofta , seek kebab.<br/>All were well below a basic standard . Tasteless rubbish made with not a care in the world. <br/><br/><br/><br/>All were well below a basic standard . I don't see
Keriata Peters
Love that they deliver to Mangere Bridge if you order $30 or more. Which is easy for my household. <br/>Everything was yummy. Butter Chicken. Beef Masala. Garlic Naan. Yummmm.<br/>And the give plenty of rice for $5.

Went for a quiet lunch today with a friend. Loved the service and the food was tasty and it didn't take long to come out but we could smell all the delicious aromas while they were cooking.<br/>Wood definitely go for the dinner menu 😁
Raspberry Beret
Been here for lunch a number of times now with work colleagues.  The lunch menu is very well priced, extensive, and the food is excellent.  Service is great, with the waiters being very friendly and recognised me on my second visit!
Let's Eat!
We tried this out for dinner one evening and thought it was lovely. The interior decor wasn't really to our taste but the food was great. The price (especially with Zomato Gold) was not only great but the food was also delicious.
Joanne Ling
Got takeaway butter chicken, tikka masala and garlic naan. Butter chicken and garlic naan was on point. Hubby usually gets butter chicken but decided to change it up with tikka masala which I'm sure was fine but it just can't beat the butter chicken!
Johnny Kang
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. Food was amazing and staff were super helpful catering to my parent's dietary requirements. Can't recommend this place enough!

We were greeted as soon as we stepped in for lunch yesterday. Nice, cozy, clean and modern looking restaurant in the middle of Onehunga Mall road. Waiter was very informant and excellent customer service. We ordered butter chicken (medium hot), butter beef (medium hot), garlic naan, mango lassie and chai tea. This place was recommended to us by an Indian friend for authenticity. Food was delicious. No faults at all with food and service. Good value for money. Highly recommend this place.

My daughter and I come in for the beginning of the week special - all mains for $13.99 excl seafood. We both had the butter chick which was really nice. The sauce was so lovely. The staff were very friendly and polite. Will return
Foodie In The House
Since moving south of Auckland City, this has become a regular "go to" for a quick and delicious meal out. Both the service and more importantly, the food is consistently good. Highly recommend..

Great curry! Came here on my own after work on Friday as I really felt like Indian food without the hassle of cleaning up afterwards. The place only had a few people inside and I was seated right away. My food came out fast and was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. I found it pretty standard priced and left feeling happy and fulfilled. Will definitely be back. The crispy fresh Garlic Naan bread was the star of the show.

Yum food, quick service, friendly and informative staff, reasonable pricing. Had mild options for novices like me and the kids. We were happy to share food and split the bill. Restaurant was happy to accomodate. Would eat here again.

This place look even better in the evening.<br/><br/>Best to make table reservation if u have more than 4 people so that they can arrange the table for you accordingly.<br/><br/>The food is really good. We ordered various curry to share and its perfect. The portion is just right for sharing.<br/><br/>The mango lassi drink is a must have.<br/><br/>And they do have special price for certain night. Definitely worth it.<br/><br/>
Anna
Nice and cosy restaurant. Very good lamb, gorgeous flavours. I quite liked the service style...unobtrusive yet still attentive. Mellow place to eat out, nice as a treat during the week.

Came here for lunch special. Good value for money. Found the korma a tad too sweet. Restaurant looked clean and tidy. The staff were super friendly
Yenzi
The curry flavour is good, used tk be our favourite indian restaurant at the neighborhood yet the meal portion either rice, curry or roti are getting smaller portion for their price. May go back another day to try again. :)
Harendra Singh
Not like an Indian food but very near to that in term of spicy and masala . I think best Indian food in Auckland better than ooh Calcutta, paradise . My fav are sheek kabab, ghost buna. <br/><br/>Very imp :- quick service.

The Curry Leaf Onehunga offers a very clean cafe environment with quiet and pleasant decor. <br/><br/>My Lamb Korma was delicious, as was my wife's Beef Korma. We asked for mild and that's exactly what we got. Mild - which suited us completely. Also we felt the helping sizes, which included Nan bread, Rice and Poppadoms offered decent value for money. <br/><br/>We felt that the entire experience was worthwhile, but was marred by the the following two exceptions: -<br/><br/>The service was extremely solemn and non-interactive. It appeared that the staff on duty - we guessed that they might be the owners - were not happy in their work; and it showed. Whilst there was absolutely no problem with the quality of the English spoken, a smile and a 'How was your meal?' would have gone a long way to reassure us that they actually cared about our dining experience.<br/><br/>Also, when we ordered the Spicy Indian Tea for $4.50, we expected to get a pot of tea to enjoy through our meal. Instead, a very small, pre-filled teacup arrived - seemingly no more than 120mls - on the table. The tasty beverage was consumed in seconds and when we inquired if we could get a refill, the waitress responded very quietly and soberly. "No.". (No further explanation was offered...). We imagined that it was not the first time she had fielded this question.<br/><br/>In our view, even a $4.50 Latte Coffee from any restaurant of cafe would have delivered the customer a more generous beverage than was on offer here. We felt that that the adventurous diner - prepared to take a risk and try something new - should be rewarded with more. We suggest the Curry Leaf either reduce the price of the Spicy Indian Tea to a $1 for the cup on offer; or increase the cup size to offer a decent 300ml serving. Providing a proper teapot full of the beverage is probably the best option, which would also give the operators another opportunity to show-off their gorgeous Indian crockery.<br/><br/>Overall, a pleasant, but needlessly disappointing dining experience.<br/>

Called up to order a couple of Lamb Nawabi meals for dinner this evening. Order was taken easily enough. Payment on pick up. Meal was very filling & easily the best Lamb Nawabi I've tasted from an Auckland restaurant. Would recommend & will be returning here in future.<br/><br/>Kay Vea

Presently surprised by this VERY small restaurant.<br/>Tables are fairly packed into the space... but not cramped<br/>I ordered the lamb madras, <br/>- the bad <br/>- it was not flavoured as I expected (I'm living in Australia and often order Madras from lots of places - where it is similarly flavoured, brown sauce mixed with coconut cream, this was yellow - more like a korma - with coconut cream, BUT I can except this as a regional difference (maybe between northern and southern India - this was advertised as southern) would like to have seen a few extra pieces of meat ... that's it for the bad ... minor and acceptable<br/><br/>The good -<br/>PERFECTLY cooked lamb, meat was still firm, but broke apart tenderly at the lightest touch<br/>PLENTY of sauce<br/>Rice was fluffy ... clearly not just sitting "on warm"<br/>Naan light and freshly cooked<br/>The restaurant was full, but meal came out in reasonable time.<br/>Restroom facilities were spotless. <br/>(A welcome change for small ethnic restaurants)<br/><br/>Tables cleared quickly and properly cleaned<br/><br/>All in all a great clean restaurant ... in a place - to be honest -- Onehunga -- a run down and not very clean area<br/>Well done Curry Leaf<br/>I will return !!
Where To Next Auckland
This small restaurant packs a mighty punch when it comes to flavour! There wide selection of dishes means everyone will find something they love. And the always friendly and attentive service means it's the perfect place for a family dinner out. Our pick? Try their Lamb Rogan Josh and a cheesy Naan! You won't regret it!

I got 3 mild mains and 3 naan for $55.50 takeaway. <br/>Chicken Tikka Masala - so gross. Tasted like tomato purée and chicken. Have tried a lot of yummy ones this by far was the worst. nil spice/ minimal flavour and very boring. That I would give a 0/10. And for $15.50 that was ridiculous. <br/>Beef Korma - beautiful. Not really Indian tasting tho quite sweet and minimalistic flavouring but was yummy. Minimal meat pieces in it I think there was 5 pieces of beef. <br/>Butter chicken - generic. <br/>Will probably never go here again - but if I do will most likely only order beef korma. <br/>The complimentary popadoms.. were stale. I love popadoms.<br/>Not last night I didn't. This place is terrible so surprised at the great reviews. <br/>Service - the young guy in a turban didn't smile once. I arrived early as I didn't realise the time. Wasn't accomodating. It's a shame of my experience because when I drive past the place is always lively. Not what I expected at all.

My butter chicken was perfect temperature which was accompanied by a generous serving of rice and a tasty cheese w/ garlic naan bread. This was all a home delivery as well, processed my order via menulog and it arrived less than the time expectancy. All round would definitely recommend this place as this was my first time I experienced amazing customer service and a fine dish 👍🏻
Benjamin Hart
The menu had a wide choice range, catering brilliantly for vegetarians such as myself. My curry was perfectly spiced, and the absolutely-necessary naan was also tasty. Losing a couple of marks on service, they could have been slightly more smiley. Price-wise, it was very reasonable. All-round, I was pretty impressed.

Good resturant, nice interior. Food is good but its the biryani dish which i always go for in indian resturants. I would say their biryani contains more rice than meat. Always had to dig for meats lol. Other than their biryani. Its a good resturant.

They do the best vegetable samosa, properly spicy, we love them. Good curry , consistent and they have a great, friendly delivery service too.
Sammy
Being an Indian living in NZ i have tried to find the best authentic Indian food but found the real taste at curry leaf, the menu is quiet different and the taste is mouth smacking, its fresh and have real flavors unlike the other famous restaurants where they serve only added artificial flavors and colors and lacks the taste of the actual food!! their customer service is very impressive, i get my food delivered at home every time withing 20 mins and the best thing is you can have the exact kind of spice you want depends on your taste..i like not too mild and not too hot and thats what i get... would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Maddy
This is our local Indian restaurant and have been there for so many time and never disappointed. Food is good and Cheese Garlic Naan is yummy.

Went to Curry Leaf Onehunga last night 15th March 2016 for my birthday. Tried Rogan Josh - very yummy. My friend had Madras Curry also very good. Not many people there so could hear yourself speak & talk with ease. Price was good.
Michelle Hwang
Not familiar with Indian cuisine, so just tried butter chicken before. And it's hard to find some real spicy item from Indian cuisine. But when I was tasting this dish - windaloo? I got the real spicy finally. Rice is soft and smell good.
Food Adventures With AnnaJ
Ordered in for a late night dinner as I was too tired and lazy to cook. I am new to the area so googled local indian places, and curry leaf had a reasonable delivery fee so was an easy choice. I chose chicken korma wirh garlic naan and vege samosas. <br/>I was very impressed with the quick delivery, amd the food was piping hot. The samosa was very generous in size with yummy sauce. The korma was a little tasteless which was a bit disappointing but the garlic naan was one of the best ive ever had. <br/>Ill probably try somewhere else next time I will like curry, but the prompt service is great to keep in mind.
Neel Boppana
Good ambiance, friendly staff, Garlic Naan is very good, curries taste can be more flavorful, Channa masala was very average, samosa was good, chicken vindaloo was average, dal makani is decent. Overall - Pricey for its quality. Am I going back? May be not

Almost hidden on Onehunga mall road is this Indian restaurant that's cosy and very punjabi. The staff was very friendly and welcomed us. Mentioned that all curries $11 each. We ordered a chicken dish and a beef dish along with Peshawari naan. Chicken vindaloo was full of flavour. For a change I ordered butter beef Masala (yep not the usual butter chicken ). But didn't appeal me much as its the BC gravy. <br/>Good place for a quick meal or to do some take away.<br/>Verdict : will be back for take aways
Ethan
Had a awsome experience with my mates.<br/>Price and food quality and taste all up to standards. Would highly reccomend...☺<br/>Tried couple of entrees and they were really tasty.

I dread the day I wasted $30 at this place. Four of us friends went into this place to dine and ended up paying a ridiculous $30 per person. The food is highly over priced for the service. Also there are restaurants with much better tasting food to try. Not authentic Indian at all.
Heather Ruru
We are regulars of Curry Leaf and have been for over 10 years. We have used their delivery service, and bought takeaways but our preference is to eat at the restaurant. The service is excellent and the staff and owner are friendly. My 7 year old son loves the Dahl Makhani here and the staff always make a fuss of him. Large servings, we always have leftovers, and a good drink selection. Good value for money, especially Monday - Wednesday when they have discounted meals.
Rajesh Mudundi
Excellent Service... Excellent Food.... Especially Sheek Kebabs & Tandoori Starters... Love the Way staff treat their customer... FIVESTAR RATING.

After long day shopping in onehunga dress smart, we find this little gem in town centre. Neat and tidy restaurant. We had Delhi Da Butter Chicken and Bhindi Do Piaza. Well spiced as per our need and generous portion. They have really good wine list and we surprized they not seĺling supermarket cheap wines. I had house pinot gris which is very nice and my husband got Mountain Goat Ale, he also like that. We really enjoyed our evening...

This is my local restaurant and we have been going here for a least 5 years on a regular basis. The staff are polite and friendly, the restaurant always looks clean and tidy and the food is served piping hot and made to order. The portion sizes are good- if my daughter and I have shared an onion bhaji  entree first, we invariably end up taking some of the mains back home with us. We think this place is good value for money and it has a good atmosphere too<br/>Update August 2016 - I have discovered Kasoori chicken !  Beautiful rich and creamy with a flavour to die for - my new favourite from Curry Leaf<br/> <br/>Update November 2018 - I keep updating my review because I am continually impressed with this place. The standards have been maintained over the years with the friendly and efficient service and the quality of the food.

Awesome food and excellent service. Curry Leaf remind us same food what we get back home india. We had Amritsari Fish and Saag Kofta vegeterian. Food look fresh and taste good. Well priced. We will be back.
David.bramwell
Had a seriously good meal here. A very pleasant surprise after a mad, tiring afternoon at the outlet mall. One of the best curries I've had anywhere. <br/><br/>Very clean, well presented restaurant. Menu has all the usual suspects plus some great signature dishes and a large vegetarian section. Will definitely come here again.

Visited Curry Leaf for lunch and got the lunch special-9.50 for all mains. It includes a curry, rice and salad. Although the portion size is small, it is sufficient for lunch. We got the chicken tikka masala and methi chicken (indian hot). Food was served within minutes and was piping hot. Both mains were quite tasty but we leaned more towards methi chicken- not too oily or creamy and extremely delicious. Please try the dish at least once! Overall good service.

Been here a couple of times.. i have to saw its not my favourite! The service is good/fast and the naan is yumm.. Negatives are pricing and the curry was quite 'soupy' and not flavourful! :(
Sophia Little
Delicious food! Naans a great, sometimes flakey. Cheese naan is yum! Love the starters. Currys are nice. Easy to order through the phone. Their delivery service is bonus too! awesome!
Duncan Mcangus
Disappointing. Sauce (vindaloo) was tasty and well spiced; the lamb (what there was of it) also tasty and reasonably tender. However, the dish was essentially sauce and rice, as it contained very little meat (6 small pieces), which I eked out as best I could, and no vegetables at all. A shame, as the sauce itself was good.
Jo Urquhart
We love going to Curry Leaf in Onehunga. The staff are friendly and if you go on a Tuesday night most mains are only $11.00 (as at September 2012).<br/>My favourite would have to be the lamb shanks - so yummy!<br/>They also provide a b.y.o wine service with a small cork-age fee.<br/>Well worth it!!!

Best Indian I have found in Auckland! We had the banquet for two that came to under $60 for both of us &amp; came with Sizzling platter for entree, Butter Chicken, Vege Korma, Lamb Rogan Josh &amp; Beef Vindaloo, as well as the usual rice, 2 naans and sauces. I am not usually a fan of the latter two curries, but have found the meat they use in these curries is divine! The beef &amp; lamb melts in your mouth &amp; the sauces themselves are delicious. Also very good service &amp; a cosy atmosphere, I recommend you try as it makes all other Indian restaurants pale in comparison.
Olivia
Warm, friendly atmosphere as soon as we walked in. The waiters were approachable, polite and efficient.<br/>We were very impressed with the delicious butter chicken and lamb saag we ordered. <br/>The naan bread was hot and delicious. <br/>Would recommend to friends and family and definitely come again.

Tried this place for the first time tonight and I will say that the service was great I did take away and waited about 20 minutes for it to be cookedby the time we got back to pick food up the person was walking it towards us so that was fantastic - we tried the tikka platter and the lamb shanks and 2 garlic naan bread for $49.00 the food was nice and spicy but with the lamb shanks were too over spiced it was like someone sneezed while adding spices as we could not taste the lamb at all so it could of been beef for all we knew the food didn't come in containers it was just loose inside a tin foil bag (except the shanks they were in a container ) the potatoes that come with the shanks were very nice and the naan bread was nice and thick and not over powered with garlic overall service was fantastic bit too much spice would of liked to taste the food but would try again at some stage and maybe ask for a little less spice overall awesome service reasonable taste and would try again at some stage
Anita
This is the most fantastic Indian restaurant that I have ever been to! Everything is great! The prices, the service and the food. OOOOhhhh the food! Every morsel of food is completely divine. If you want real Indian food, then you should totally dine at the Curry Leaf. The lamb shank is to die for! It is the most succulent, soft and tender lamb shank I have tasted, ever. The tomato gravey over it is just right, and gets soaked up with the beautifully made naan bread. OH and not to mention the cumin potatoes, man oh man are those goood! All in all every experience I have had at the Curry Leaf has always been spectacular, friendly service, delish food and awesome prices!
Anne Cooper
Gorgeous food, and the mood of the place is so fabulous. I went with my partner on valentine's day. It’s recently been renovated, and looks stunning inside. We absolutely loved the incredible Indian flavours:entree- fish tikka was perfectly cooked accompanied with mint chutney which was amazing. Naan breads were very good. And then my partner &amp; I shared lamb shank dish which was really tender. <br/>We finished our special night on sweet note by having gulab jamun.
Jamini Pulyadath
The service at Curry Leaf was great. Both waiting staff and duty manager were attentive and polite. The food unfortunately was very average. It was very presented but lacked flavour and punch. Overall, the dining experience was plesant but not outstanding.
David Boshier
Not many Indian restaurants do curried lamb shanks. It was a special on the night we were there and it was a good change from my standard butter chicken.<br/><br/>Good service, great food and cold beer.
Jessica Millar
We often come here as the food is great !! the only issue is the service is quite slow but definatly worth the wait !
Ani Stace
YUM! We drove past this place and decided to go in because there weren't too many people and we needed fast service. We got much more... the food was great and the service was fast. They do $10 mains Mon-Wed so it makes the meal pretty cheap too.<br/>Must eat there!
Junita Liufalani
Went there last night for my birthday dinner with family. Service was excellent, as the staff was very attentive, friendly &amp; accommodating. We turned up late with a group, cake, and no reservation.. yet we were greeted with friendly smiles, &amp; poppadoms. The food was mouth watering!!.. I had the soup which i didn't have too much of as i was too busy stuffing my face with everyone elses curries. :) The Delhi Butter Chicken was beautifully creamy with the right amount of chili, The lamb Madras which was ordered 'Indian hot' started out light &amp; creamy with a nice bit of sweetness followed by a flaming hot fire- just how we ordered it. We also enjoyed a Mango chicken &amp; Beef Vindaloos which were also very tasty. My group could not find one thing to complain about. We are big eaters &amp; were surprisingly very satisfied with the portions &amp; even left with doggy bags. Definitely a new fave for me to add to my short list. Will be making regular visits to this place. :)

Reasonably priced and friendly service. Recommended.

Went to Curry Leaf last night as I was having a quick dinner with a friend who was stopping over at the airport for a few hours and it was a great find! We let the staff know that we were in a hurry and they were very good at bringing out the food quickly. <br/>When we first arrived we were promptly seated and given a poppadom each which was very tasty as we were hungry. We ordered pakoras and samosas for starters and two butter chickens, one vindaloo for dinner. They brought all of the meals out at once as per our request and the food was very yum. I especially enjoyed the Pakoras. As we went on a Monday night (I think it is a weekday deal) the mains were only $10 each! <br/>Will definitely be heading there again if I am in the neighbourhood. Recommend highly as they have delicious food and am reasonably priced.
Erin Brown
Love this place, have been to a few indian restaurants and this is by far the nicest love the butter chicken and garlic naan
Pollyanna
I have been coming here regularly for the past two years and can always recommend this place. The quality of the food is good, with decent sized portions and comes as hot or mild as you like. Staff are efficient, helpful and friendly.
Tanya Yau
I went to this restaurant for lunch two months ago. I really enjoyed eating butter chicken with rice and nan. I also ordered mango drink, which was also nice. The waiter (I am not sure whether he was the owner?) was very friendly.
Jon
Eat there last night. It was the worst Indian restaurant I have experienced in Auckland.<br/><br/>NO AMBIANCE. Just the noise of a fridge buzzing non stop. I had to ask the waiter to put some music on. He then put the tv on...in a restaurant? Wanted some music not a TV.<br/><br/>Service was average. Friendliness was poor. It made us felt like at 8pm we were annoying them for being there. The server NEVER spoke. Uncomfortable feeling. <br/><br/>The curries were thick and "gluey". These people should get out other restaurant business as they clearly don't really care, nor do they want customers. <br/><br/>Love curry - dislike The Curry Leaf. A poorly run restaurant. Food, like I said, average AT BEST.
Noelia Gonzalez Quiñones
Last time I came here a few months ago I was not impressed by the butter chicken, but today I enjoyed a lovely lunch here with my friend. We ordered two mild plates, my friend had beef, and I had a lamb dish made with coconut cream (recommended by the waiter). Both curries were DELICIOUS and sweet and mild (we don't like spicy). We were quite impressed by the quality of the food and the taste. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Timothy Maifeleni
I love this place, great for dining in or takeout, rich flavour and warms the belly every time.<br/><br/>Im a mango chicken lover and have to say over the past 3 years or so, there are some inconsistancies in recipe but, i guess that its just when they have different staff on.<br/><br/>still will always be popping around the courner to eat here!
Emma
Very good, very cheap curry ($7.50 lunch) Friendly staff.
Janine Ann Foster
The best Indian food I have tasted. My son and I have made this our local place to either dine in or take out probably more than we should, but so yummy. My favourite is the Pakora for entree, other Indian Restaurants I have dined at can't beat theirs. Nice peaceful and relaxing atmosphere friendly staff.
Nom Nom Panda
This was the most interesting place that was open on a Monday night after we had an excursion to Onehunga on the electric train.<br/><br/>There were a number of patrons inside (even though the restaurant's offer on a daily deal website did not come out until the next day), it was pleasingly decorated, and the waiter was attentive and friendly - though we wished he had told us that our order of tamarind sauce was really weird, given we did not order anything suitable for dipping, and it doesn't really go with curries.<br/><br/>There was a wide selection of food and drinks on the menu, including bottled Galbraith's beer. We ordered the signature delhi da butter chicken, and the daal tarka, in addition to burji (scrambled eggs served with zeera aloo). The two curries were fragrant and delicious, if more filling than we would have liked. Both the eggs and the potato in the third dish, however, were rather bland.<br/><br/>We particularly enjoyed the butter chicken, scooping up the sauce with rice even though we were full. Would be happy to return to try some more dishes.

I haven't been here in a long time and you can understand if you also had food poisoning here. Not just me also ... many people on many different occasions. I've seen this restaurant have grades ranging from D upwards and have stared clear from here ever since. The food is alright at the beginning .. it's afterwards that puts you off. If in the future you're in the neighbourhood and are keen to test your taste buds I would definitely love to hear about your experience and see if they've gotten any better since my last attempt. If you're craving Indian and are in the area head around the corner into Dressmart Mall :) Spice Traders are inside and would definitely recommend them :) Best Indian in Onehunga.
