Review The Cider Shed - Auckland

Loved the ciders, dont think I've had anything like them. It was a shame that there were quite a few unavailable that day. Atmosphere was great with plenty of seating inside, on the deck and on the lawn. There was a small playground for kids. Bathrooms were in good condition. Food portions were large for the price paid and very tasty. Would definitely go again if we pass by on our way north.

What a lovely place, we enjoyed the yummy food and the Cider was amazing. The service was quick and the management and staff were lovely. We will certainly be back again soon. I loved the idea that they are also dog friendly, obviously out side only and friendly dogs. Perfect to stop have lunch and don't have to leave your fur baby in the car.

This is one of our favorite meals during our holiday in New Zealand. I recommend the Cider and Sliders, which has a tasting of their different ciders with several sliders (brisket, pulled pork, fish) from which you can choose. This was excellent. My 12 year-old son said they have the best hot chocolate in the world.

Pretty good. I had the $34 meat platter. Good variety good quality and tasty. Calimari was tender but batter a little soggy still delicious. Ribs were a little dry. Steak was yum. I'd come back here if in the area again

This place is a real find! Wonderful selection of in house ciders and surprisingly food is a real touch of Americana, ribs BBQ chicken, etc. Simple but good quality. Been a couple of times, and loved it. Brilliant for a lazy afternoon.

Great lamb ribs and the boss platter is a can range and excellent value

Great cider! Not too sweet as they don't add any extra sugar. Lovely owner and staff. The original cider and lady apple are the best.

Nice little place off the main highway just before Warkworth. Well worth visiting to check out the cider and food. Great play area for the kids outside. Driven past this so many times its worth a stop in.

Didn't get to eat here but the menu looked great. They have an off-license now, so we bought some cider. It was great!

Highly suggest the Wednesday wings and cider we got the buffalo which were mildly spicey and bbq which had an amazing smokey taste, we had a hint of the Lucifer which is their hottest and would be tempted to try next time. We also had with it the pink lady cider which was very fresh and crisp with a tad sweetness very yum. Delicious and fresh burgers I recommend the shed burger with very fast and friendly service. Looking forward to my next visit :)

Great atmosphere, amazing setting, off the main highway. Kids playground, dog friendly. Great music, friendly staff, quick service. Food was so yummy! Highly recommend the ceaser salad! Great lunch spot!

Dog friendly, cider and good food. Its a win for me. Staff were happy to let us try the cider and talked through the different ones before we ordered and they offered a number of gluten free options. This place in my opinion is only going to get more and more popular over time.

From the very start very good service and amazing food to follow which came out very quick. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. The venue is very spacious with loads of seating in and out.

Heard good things about this place, and since we were in the area we thought we would pop in for lunch.<br/><br/>There was a large group there and told it would be a bit of a wait for our food, and we were fine with that. It was a beautiful day so we wished to sit outside. They have numerous picnic tables on the beautiful grassy area out the back, however there were NO umbrellas, especially on such a hot and sunny day. The benches and tables were also warped, so we retreated back inside.<br/><br/>We ordered the Fried Chicken and the Ribs, both were generous helpings. <br/><br/>However, the fried chicken may have been over fried, and there was no sauce to go with it - It became very dry and a chore to eat. A nice helping of Chilli Aioli would have been great with this.<br/><br/>The sauce on the ribs was tasty and smokey, but the ribs themselves were also dry.<br/><br/>The ciders they have on tap are really nice, perfect to cool down with on a hot day. The sizing was a bit off though, I thought the "half pint" was a joke, as it would have only been a 280ml at most. The "Full Pint" was not even a proper pint size.<br/><br/>They will soon be able to sell thier cider in a growler so you can take it home, the pricing for this was reasonable, and will be a good reason to stop here.
