Amazed by the wide variety of pastries, pies and sandwiches available. Especially love the banana bread and hot cross buns. Many items came out fresh from the oven when we were there. Cappuccino was good and piping hot - the way I like it. There was a happy vibe around the place and service staff were friendly and cheerful. Highly recommended!

Established 26 years ago this coffee shop hold the quality , flavours and good presentation friendly staff everything to please you tasty coffee just perfect !!! I back today to this shop and l felt in my mouth and in mind a flashback when l came here 20 years ago l used to be a regular customer then l moved from Auckland to another town now l am so thankful to find this fresh and tasty like the old time definitely you are legend Greenwoods Kitchen 👌🏅

I've been coming to Greenwood's Kitchen for many years and the food has always been top quality. The pies here are highly recommended, as well as the cream doughnuts. There are lots of other options such as sandwiches and filled rolls. Pasta, tarts and lots more. Coffee is great too. Excellent service.

Wow wow wow ! There is no negative to this place! We went for breakfast once and have been going back everyday for treats and coffee! The short bread and biscuit's are dangerously addictive and I got a mixed box of the sweet and were also equally as delish! Staff are so so friendly and nice I can see why they have a great customer base and reputation! Thank you ladies from your new friends and customers from Australia 😃

Expensive chicken roll and ham rolls but I guess they fancy. I have been enjoying the pies as well though, and they are slightly less expensive than the rolls, so maybe I should just eat pie from here on out. Idk aye.... I need some photos of their actual food. Will post some next time.

My favorite coffee place! You'll love how you are welcomed and serviced! I'm a big fan of their pies and the coffee, of course. I liked their big breakfast too. A suggestion - It'll be great if you can offer the mushrooms in creamy sauce instead.

Best steak n cheese pie in Auckland. 100% delicious.

Had the salmon club sandwich and a savoury muffin. Its obvious little if anything here is bought in, club sandwich had lots of different flavors which blended well even pesto, made with a wonderful seedy bread. The muffin was the same, great flavor from the pumpkin seed encrusted top to the hidden cream cheese centre, this was no cheese flavored dough ball from muffin break, every mouthful showed the thought and care that had gone into it. The best savory muffin I've ever had. Large coffee really was a large and pretty good, overall very impressed Extra bonus was the whole lunch was $17.50 and filling, I had to take half the muffin away with me. Highly recommended Update 8/2019 still keeping up the excellent standard here, had a parmesan spinach quiche, lots of spinach right thru and that lovely tang of parmesan, tuna club sandwich, lovely balance, every blended into a yummy whole, cherry danish, slightly crisp outside fluffy and buttery inside just the right balance of custard and cherry puree inside, best danish I've had, coffee smooth and wonderful crema with hints of hickory and caramel, all for $20, has to be close to the best bakery cafe in Auckland

I had my lunch here on the 8th April, while it was very busy, I would expect the counter staff to ask if you’d like your food warmed, meaning my avocado and chicken roll and my apple and raspberry tart, it’s tastes so much better when it’s warm, we should be given that preference, regardless of how busy they are or not, it’s the first place I’ve come across that hasn’t asked, I eat out a lot and am always asked if it’s something that may require heating. Overall ok, very cramped, regardless of the nice food, possibly wouldn’t eat here again, then in saying that, it’s not an area I’m a lot of the time. Winters coming let’s have some warmed up food, just about forgot, their pies are very nice, I bought one home and had it for my dinner, many people were buying the pies, that’s definately in their favour, very hard to find a nice pie.

ALL THERE PASTERIES AND SANDWICHES ARE ABSOLUTELY MOUTHWATERING ,, BUT THEIR RANGE OF PIES ARE LIKE NEXT LEVEL ,,,THEY ARE WITH OUT A DOUBT THE BEST MADE AND TASTIEST PIES THAT I'VE EVER EATEN AND IVE TRIED A FAIR FEW IN MY TIME , AS ONE WOULD EXPECT THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY ON THE EXPENSIVE SIDE OF TOWN BUT IT'S WORTH EVERY BITE SO YEAH CHECK IT OUT YO , YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED THAT'S FOR SURE ,,, ASWELL AS AWESOME FRIENDLY FRONT COUNTER STAFF 😀 👌 😜

Usual order is Apple berliner, boysenberry berliner, 2 fresh cream doughnuts & neneesh tart. Also delicious are the savory muffins, anything from the pie cabinet. Coffee is great too!

So many quality items here. Not cheap, but a great sweet selection and lots of varieties of filled rolls and club sandwiches. I go about 2 to 3 on the weekend when they start discounting! Coffee good, not great usually. Overall an enjoyable experience and I wish there were more around like it with the variety, freshness and generosity of ingredients most items have.

Love this place. They make the best pepper steak pie in all of Auckland and should win awards for them if they enter. Plenty of other delectable food on offer, both savoury and sweet, and the apple Berliners are another favourite. If you are Vegan they will make you a Vegan filled roll, but most of their offerings won't suit. They make a nice coffee and you can eat in, but it is very popular so you may have to wait for a table. I can also recommend their date scones.

Tga very best fresh cream donuts in Auckland!!! Friendly staff and very good selection of savouries and sweets. Highly recommended.

Delicious pies sold here - my favourite was the potato top pie and their steak and pepper pie. Would definitely come back again for more!

It's my favorite Auckland cafe the food is always excellent.

The food here is great but I think the service depends on who you are or aren’t. Today I ordered $21 worth of brunch and coffee. The only free table had dirty dishes all over it, but I sat and waited and took out my newspaper to read. A staff member came over a couple of minutes later, not to bring me my order, not to clear the dirty dishes, but to ask me to move on, as other people wanted the table. They don’t have reservation signs, and it was just a random table. This is the third time this has happened to me here, that I’ve been agitated to ‘finish’ or go and perch on the edge of a bench by the kitchen when some well-to-do looking mainstream gentry come in. So yeah, excellent food, but service is selective.

Great, efficient service.  Very good coffee and they supply coconut sugar which I love.  The savoury scone was OK.  My daughter had a very good latte.

Caramel slice is good and coffee was ok. The selection of food looked freshly and a good variety. Has a. Clean interior and looks like it’s been here longer then the more modern style cafes in Greenwood’s.

Just move to Epsom. Finally I can found a yummy breakfast shop. It's located on Epsom center, close to the ASB bank. During the whole day there are so many people eating here. Pies, pizza and coffee are good, most importantly, the price never let u down.

Good value for money.  You can purchase a cake and coffee, and not break the bank.  A good place to pick up morning tea, as they have a good selection of cakes and fruit tarts etc.

Been going here for years and the food is always good, especially the chicken mango chutney rolls with cheese. The prices are slightly steep in my opinion... but still affordable.

An oldie and a goodie! Their menu never changes - their cabinets are always stuffed with fresh sweet and savoury options that will please everyone. I don't think they have any gluten free/paleo/vegan options - this is an old-fashioned bakery and tea room that has its business model locked down. Staff are friendly, know their regulars and they're always happy to see you! I've never tried the Saturday breakfast menu, but I do treat myself to Greenwoods brownie every now and then.

Grabbed one Chicken sandwich and one large flat white for $ 11.90 in total. All food materials of sandwich were fresh. But the coffee was a little bitter and very hard to feel its mellow.

If you enjoy your French Pastries, Cakes , donuts etc this cafe/bakery is reasonably priced and generous in portions, and always busy.  I receive friendly service; and they always have a good selection of sweets and savouries to choose from.

Greenwoods Kitchen has been here for many many years, and as far as a bakery/cafe goes it's consistently good.<br/>They have a range of menu items (i.e. Breakfasts & toasted sandwiches), sell a full range of bakery food, breads, pasta meals to takeaway & also coffee.<br/>I stopped off today to take lunch to some friends & found it as busy as ever. The staff work quickly & efficiently to look after everyone waiting. You can either eat in or take away. <br/>Today I bought the ham & egg filled bun. They offer white bread, whole meal & brown bread & will also make things to order if what you want isn't there. The bread roll was fresh & tasty with a range of good ingredients.<br/>I also bought some doughnuts - again very fresh not stale as they sometimes can be elsewhere. Good amount of cream & jam filling.<br/>Their muffins are good - particularly when heated. I bought the rhubarb one today.<br/>Coffee is consistently good - not bitter.<br/>I have also tried their mince savouries in the past - well made with tasty filling. Pies are very tasty & not greasy.<br/>Not the cheapest bakery food, but well worth the price for the quality & freshness.

I've always wished I were able to open a shop in greenwoods corner. Well if I did id have some stiff competition with OTG and this place Greenwoods Kitchen. There were basically too many traditional and almost out of fashion food items on their menu or displayed. I chased my order twice! Settled on beef lasagna and some wicked brioche. But hadn't spotted the massive baked potatoes that I would have cleaned up. Then meringues then. ..a real old style nz tearoom feel. Please come and try them.

Been here quite a few times over the years. Pretty good bakery, with a good range of food! Staff always really friendly. Enjoyed everything I've bought here. Great local place to get something quick to eat.

Nice establishment but the staff looked pissed to serve me. Maybe just because it was lunchtime but a smile doesn't go far. I got the Gluten Free biscuits and Gluten Free caramel slice. Both were lovely. There were quite a few GF options there which was good to see - savory and sweet. The lady serving me also cleaned the knife before using it on my GF slice, which was appreciated.

Best local steak and cheese pies that I get on a regular basis. The staff are always nice and helpful! The cafe section has plenty of seating the cabinets are always stocked with yummy goods. Recommended!

It has been  eleven years since I have been to Greenwoods Kitchen. Very busy, as always and the food was exceptional. Just ate my boysenberry berliner just now and had to post a remark. If you haven't been here then you have no idea what you are missing.

Beautiful presentation, lovely cozy place. So many yummies to choose from. Perfect for a treat on a Saturday morning. We got a lovely boxed selection of smaller savories and sweets to give to someone in hospital and they loved it!

The best sandwiches in the burbs are here! Ham chicken or beef but my favourite is vegetarian. Hard to get your mouth around, delicious fresh whole grain bread is packed with lettuce tomato carrot and delicious savoury egg. The pies are delicious too and there's a whole counter full of gorgeous sweet treats BIG sweet treats! Almandines Neenish tarts doughnuts slices and pastries. Or try an unusual sultana scone It's kind of a cross between a scone and a muffin There are a few tables but it's great to grab a few gummies and head up to One Tree Hill Domain to eat them al fresco
