Great service as always! Just portions probably needs alteration compared to most places out there. Esp lunch menu. However best dumplings and have made many personal referrals. Thank you!

Liked the atmosphere, one of the staff was a bit hard to hear and we had to ask what each plate was but the food was yum and the owners were friendly

Although the service was a bit slow they were so inundated with people waiting for seats. The food was very good and we would go again

Opening night! The service was warm and friendly. Myself and a friend got 3 dishes. the dishes came out very fast and freshly made. The noodles were fantastic and tasted amazing. The portion size was fairly large for me and didn't manage to get through it however the do provide takeaway. If you are after a quick meal or a sit down with friends I highly recommend you give this place a go.

Ordered beef & rice, pork buns and a can of coke. Beef came out first - after a few minutes we had to go and ask for the rice as they didn't bother to bring us any. Pork buns dry and not much meat (but beef was OK). Total $36. When we got home, and checked the menu, found out we were overcharged - unless they sell their coke at $10 a can.

Food and service was amazing! My partner and I order the lamb and carrot dumplings, braised beef and rice and the pork and spring onion steamed buns. All the food had amazing taste and freshness. They were very busy but greeted everyone with a smile and are very friendly. Thank you so much Mr Feng’s, we will be back

Nice signage. Really dissapointing food. I so wanted to love it but just another average Dominion Rd Restaurant. Dumpings were too doughy and thick and not nice filling. Lemon chicken barely lemony. Staff didn’t seem to notice us much. I really wanted to love it but I won’t be back .

Dumplings were ok but they forgot my order so it ended up taking 45 minutes. Woman at cash register didn't seem to care, maybe I expected too much. Like getting my food.... Seems popular however

Glad to have this tasty and its look like i am in my counrty. Fast service and friendly.

I had the pork and chive fried dumplings and they're definitely the best I've ever had! Was served by a nice girl (looks like she's still in school) and they were fast at providing, overall very happy. Recommend phone ordering. After looking at reviews below, it seems I was 'lucky' to have been served by someone who spoke fluent English... doesn't bother me either way, as long as you have patience and persistence, you'll get there :)

The food here is a bit hit and miss depending on what you order. The noodles are great and have a great bouncy texture to them. The soup is often quite nice too but the toppings can be very sparse except for the meat.

Their buns are the best I’ve had in Auckland. They’ve got the perfect bun taste and a lovely slight fermented smell to them. There’s a good amount of filling to complement the bun and completes the overall taste wonderfully. Could honestly eat an entire portion without stopping to breathe.

The biggest let down here is the service and wait time to get anything done. The staff often have trouble understanding anything that isn’t a basic order but they do accommodate allergy requests. I recommend ordering takeaway to avoid having to deal with the nightmare of table service.

The food is ok but he service is terrible not very much English and they have no order for how they deliver people’s food to them. 1 table here and there. No one receives there food with the rest of the group and it feels very selective. Unfortunately won’t be returning.

My absolute favourite from Mr Feng's is this mildly spicy beef noodles dish. The secret is in the sauce, which is this thick sesame paste with szechuan pepper and vinegar. It's all hidden underneath the wonderfully crisp carrots and cucumber, on top of the warm hand pulled noodles. Mix it thoroughly before you eat.

Best dumplings in Auckland! We've tried alot. The pork and cabbage were amazing. Huge portion great value for money. I'd like to see a special sauce though. We got honey chicken which was light and delicate and tasty. We got some noodles but they weren't as good as the dumplings or honey chicken and we were so full we left most of the noodles. Quick service but was getting very busy 615ish

This place was awesome, customer service was great, loved the decor and simplicity of the place, Food was so delicious & the wait wasnt long, we really enjoyed the pork n chive Fried Dumplings & the chilli oil on the table, definitely is a new favorite place to eat

Lovely atmosphere, and lovely friendly staff. I come here all the time and pretty much everything I’ve tried is good. There seem to be some really polarised reviews! This place is clean, the staff are nice and the food is good. The service is also quite fast, so I don’t know what the negative reviews are talking about. I’ve it a try for yourself if you’re unsure. The dumplings, noodle soups, beef stew, fried noodles and fried rice are the best.

Well, where to start with this
Order steamed pork n prawn dumpling, received fried cabbage chicken.
Order salt, chilli squid, and you tell me for that picture! Very disappointed, few pieces, bland, chewy for $20
Have some other noodle soups, barely finish any
Good menu price and new renovating decor make me give this place 2* overall but no no guy
No fking MSG in soup these day guys and that make me realise why the menu is cheap. But come on, let be real here! No one will even think of this place again, forget coming back for another go

Had a lovely dinner here on Sunday night with my husband. Got the Chicken fried noodles, pork and chive steamed dumplings and braised beef noodle soup. I have to say it is the best Chinese cuisine we have ever had! The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Super super happy with our meals. Staff were polite enough, slightly lacking in English but not enough that we couldn't understand one another. Will definitely be back!

We ordered the short ribs noodles and braised beef noodles. I preferred the short ribs noodles, the soup was flavourful enough, the noodles were smooth and reasonably chewy but slightly overcooked.

I didn't quite like the braised beef noodles, it was ok but my girlfriend liked it. The star anise taste was a bit too strong for me. Her noodles were more chewy than mine though.

Service was friendly and fast.

Dumplings are good- taste, sizing & pricing. No need to be fancy with ‘master chef’ plating, just smack that yummy slow cooked beef on my rice please ha!
Clean premises.
Would visit again.

Visited this restaurant for the first time today with my partner and 7 year old son. We ordered the fried chicken noodles, sweet and sour chicken and 1 lot (20 pieces) of steamed pork dumplings. First of all the food was delicious! Great flavours from all 3 dishes. The reason I’ve given 3 stars was because the price of the sweet and sour chicken for the portion was quite expensive. It was only just enough for the 3 of us, if there were 3 or 4 adults you’d want to order a 2nd portion. The other thing was that 1 of our dumplings was undercooked and the pastry was doughy. The other 19 were delicious though. The fried noodles had lots of chicken, lots of veggies and was a large portion for the price. Would definitely go back to try some other plates though.

COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!. The service and food is terrible, they can't even cook plain rice correctly. While waiting forever for our dishes I started to notice how filthy the place is, even the cutlery isn't washed properly. I wouldn't even rate this place but in order to post this I have to at least give it a 1 star when my rating is 0!!. Everything about this place is just wrong.

It looked amazing from out side so decided to give it a go. However when entered, interior was only half done and tables and bathroom were very dirty.
Food tested pretty decent but little bit on the salty side. For price, portion we're very small and left hungry.
Would go back if they cleaned up more and decided to give generous portion of food.

We tried this place out for dinner but will avoid coming back due to the terrible service. After we placed our order we waited for 30mins with nothing served, not even drinks or the cold dishes that were already pre-made in the cabinet. After complaining they finally put some drinks and cold dishes on the table and made us keep waiting for the noodles. After waiting for over 40mins still without the majority of our order we got fed up and were about to settle the bill to go across the road to McDonald’s. The lady saw us wanting to leave and yelled at us very rudely to say our order was ready. By then we were extremely hungry so decided to sit down and eat some of the noodles that we waited so long for. The food they serve is very average, the experience we had was terrible.

Was sceptical about going to this place for the first time and will probably have been my last. In terms of their dishes, not much happening in the flavor department and portion sizes (especially with the shared dishes) just aren't worth it. Menu is average and some of the items they had weren't available because they had sold out. Value for money? Not really. Recommend? Yeah, probably not.

We were pleasantly surprised after visiting Feng's last night for a quick and easy dinner. Service was great with one of the servers giving us great recommendations and what was better. We got seated straight away because of the big seating arrangements. It feels very similar to Mr. Zhou's in New Lynn. On to the most important part, the food! We ordered some pork and chives fried dumplings, combination noodles and deep-fried spring rolls because they were out of the tossed edamame beans. Will definitely go back for those. The food arrived in 15 minutes which was really good because there were so many people there. The dumplings were very good and had a great ratio of the wrapper - meat. The meat had good flavour, and I liked that these dumplings were like potstickers which are my favourite. Crispy and steamed, just the way I like them. My favourite part of restaurants like these is that you can adjust your sauce depending on how spicy, salty or sweet you want it. The combination meat noodles were glossy and the meat was all cooked perfectly which was great. The spring rolls were nothing like the packet ones, these were crispy and the pastry was very nice. They had a nice vegetarian filling, so overall, these were a great starter. Feng's provided quick service and great food which makes it perfect for a quick dinner. The prices are very reasonable with starters AND mains for 3 people coming to $31.50. I definitely will be back.
azanagoesbananas.weebly.com

I was SO impressed! I’m usually disappointed when I go out to eat, but the food came fast and the flavour was really impressive. Spicy beef soup was amazing, I asked for less noodles and add veg.. the dumpling and sweet and sour pork was great too. Deffinately going back

The food is not fresh, it looks OK, but the taste is very poor, vegetables and meat are not fresh, after eating, diarrhea, will never go, wasting time and money, but also sick

Good location with ample parking. Clean and modern premises. Friendly service. We made a phone order and they advised it would be ready in 15 minutes as it was. Good value for money. We got two flavors of dumplings and the chicken noodles. Everything was cooked perfectly and everything was there just not the flavor unfortunately, very bland :-( I couldn't tell the difference between dumplings. We made our own sauce with soy sauce and sweet chili which brought the dumplings to life but it's such a shame as the potential is great :-(

hot and spicy chicken. wasn't bad. wasn't amazing either. too many flavors going on. I noticed black beans in there which was a bit strange. you dont normally get that in a hot n spicy Asian dish. good service. decent price. will be back to try another lunch dish.

Placed an order via phone to collect, person read back order to confirm, arrived 15 minute to collect as advised. Waited nearly 45 minutes went home with nothing order was lost staff knew nothing and were of little help. It is a shame as we live locally and don't mind supporting local business, will not go here again

Wouldn't waste your time. Ordered pork and spring onions fried dumplings and spicy beef noodles. Nothing had any flavour nor was the the noodles at all spicy. The amount of extra chilli and soy sauce in soup we added was ridiculous yet not an improvement on the flavour.
Food looks good but highly disappointing.... The push-up bra of food..

We have been here a couple of time. The restaurant was pleasant.
It was clean and spacious. The service was good, friendly and responsive.
There were good parking spaces.

As for the food they were tasty and the serving was good and the price
was reasonable. There were a good selection of lunch and dinner dishes.

Will definitely return to have a go on the other dishes.

Just wasted $33.00. left this place and what I had ordered behind. The dumplings tasted the same as the frozen packs you buy at packnsave. The sweet corn chicken soup tasted like microwaved water with added sugar. I quickly persuaded a couple on arrival just about to order to try another place. these people have no experience in the field. looks like this food business was set up to employ people needing to do their time to get permanent residency. Tha the is all. Please do not waste your hard earned money. I would rather cook an egg.

Finally an excellent dumpling place out west! We went there on a Friday night and it was reasonably busy, but plenty of parking and tables (compared to busy dominion road dumpling places where you have to wait sometimes 30 minutes or more). We were greeted immediately and given menus. Prices were extremely reasonable- my husband and I ordered beef fried noodles and 20 pork and chive dumplings ($24 total) which was more than enough for the 2 of us. Food was delicious- as most dumpling restaurants chilli oil and soy sauce were at the tables which were great condiments. The waiter was extremely attentive and very friendly. Overall you pay for what you get and we were extraordinarily happy with the experience- no more travelling to Sandringham for our dumpling fix
Valea24
Over rated. Portion size is not worth the money maybe if quality was up there but sorry I tasted better for less. Also drinks are outrageously expensive. Not to mention you have to go get your own bowls and water as well as cups. The capacity doesn’t fit that many people. The building looks big and its NOT but it does have a lot of car park. Also I didn’t like that the family next to me got severed before us and we got there before them. We waited also 20mins for our food. Was not happy about that. Let’s just say it was my first and last.

It's a great location, finally somewhere we can go for dumplings without having to travel far! Great value for money. Definitely coming back for more dumplings.
