Review Eiffel En Eden - Auckland

Amazing baked goods, fantastic coffees, great staff. The new dinner menu is fantastic. Delicious meals at very reasonable prices. The baked goods are what keeps me coming back again and again; they're just so good. The barista will sometimes make your coffee milk into art, too.

Service is good, food is tasty and coffee is of a professional standard. Bathroom are clean and pleasant to use. Staff obviously take pride in their work and the business seems to have a steady set of regulars.

I love this place. Venue may have changed, but food is still amazing. Menu is simple but exceptional. High standard of coffee making. Must-do if you enjoy French cafe food!

The place we wanted to go to was closed so we ended up here. But what a treat! Great friendly service, prompt and delicious food. And to top it off good portion sizes. One of the best eggs Benedict I've seen. Definitely worth a visit.

Adorable little French cafe with delightful and friendly service. I'm a regular customer here as I work next door. Everytime i come in there is always a big smile and hello waiting for me. Coffee is perfect everytime and the mango cream cheese muffins are to die for! The croffielnuts are absolutely delicious aswell, however I recommend sharing with someone as it is very hard to eat an entire one alone. Love this place and recommend to everyone who loves perfect coffees, delicious food and the friendliest of service

It's a nice little French cafe on dominion road. Enjoyed my hot chocolate and eggs benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly, slamon was delicious. And the cherry on top, the hashbrown! I wasn't a big fan of the bread they used though.

Visited the cafe a week ago the food was excellent and they have picked up since I was last there. Choice of french pastries were excellent and fresh.

We like coming back here - while it's on the main (Dominion) road, the coffee is great, the pastry is always fresh and tasty, and the owners are very nice!

Love this place. The owners go out of their way to make this the best cafe around. Great food!

Gorgeous food, excellent coffee and friendly staff who really make an effort to make your day special.

Okay food, okay coffee. Its tries to be French but there are barely any French workers and it could be better with the food, other-wise, your usual cafe

Excellent food and chicken roll freshly made on the spot. Huge slices of chicken and excellent service.

An outpost for those looking for unashamedly classic French cuisine. This cute cafe offers a spacious and very handy location for the often crammed tiny MT Eden cafe’s. Amongst the many standard French menu options, the escargot (garlic snails) generated a lot of banter around the table. Especially for those Huskies that were a little more willing to live by the ‘try anything at least once’ mantra… Totally worth mentioning was the sizeable selection of beautifully presented pastries and treats that got the attention of the sweet toothes amongst us. Our only real critique was that it felt like something was missing, maybe it was the lack of a unique and genuinely special piece de resistance.. something we have been more and more accustomed to in our inner city foodie experiences.Check out our individual food reviews here: husk.co.nz/lunches/effiel-en-eden-jul-2018

Favourite Auckland café, friendly thoughtful proprietors in a sunny spacious environment.Great coffee, fresh and generous salads, sister loves the quiche, for me, the berry brioche is out of this world. simply divine.

Came here today. Love the atmosphere, love the people, and love the food. Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon is brilliant. Highly Recommend! 10/10

I have been a customer of Eiffel en Eden since they moved to Dominion Road three years ago. Extremely nice place to grab a coffee and brunch. Lots of pastries to chose from. They have the best almond croissants in Auckland! Pies, quiches, and sandwich rolls are very popular also. Everything is at a reasonable price for the quality you are paying for. Most importantly, they are lovely hard working people. They always try to do something special to make customers smile! I took my grandad here on his birthday earlier this year and they even prepared a surprise chocolate cake for him. It's the small things that can really make someone's day joyful. This café deserves more positive attention and respect.

Good food and most importantly good people. The manager/owner if a very friendly, hospitable and kind man. The same words I can also describe to the rest of his staff which I assume is his family.

The cost of the pastry, coffee, smoothies, main dishes, etc are all fairly priced and delicious. I recommend their pies, french toast and their mango & banana smoothie, it is to die for. And even with these low prices, the service from the lovely staff and the presentation of the lovely food surpassed my expectation; I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel.

No cafe as exceeded my expectation but this one. The only thing that disappoints me is that it does not get busy enough than it deserves.

Overpriced food. Went here last week and the cookies were awful and just to expensive for what you get. Coupled with the rude manager i will not be wasting my time here again. Just awful.

Oh man!!! Don’t tell my mum the iced coffee costed 5 bucks. She would make one for me at home. It’s fine without cream but just need a straw

Visited for the first time with some friends! We had coffees and French pastries! Good selection of food and coffee 3/5. Service very friendly.

Fairly casual place to hang out, lovely coffee and a good selection of sweets, but not a lot for gluten free items, just two jars of gluten free cookies!

This appeals
A point of difference
Moved here from Three Kings dues to some massive apartments being developed on its former site
They do the French thing well
Choice baguettes
Tuna Ham Cheese
And some tempting cakes and tarts

Excellent brunch with some alternative options on the menu. We ordered the big breakfast which came with a couple of amazingly good pork sausages. The pork brisket burger was flavoursome and went well with the crispy n refreshing green apple slices. Parking is available at the back (enter from behind Wendy's)

Eiffel en Eden has a really genuinely French interior, full of French memorabilia and they play French music too.

The owners are friendly and everything seems to be made freshly. I had the seafood chowder soup, although took a while to receive the dish, it was quite delicious.

I visited this cafe a few weeks ago and it was great.

They have a really nice variation of french food. As a french person myself it's actually rare you'll find anything that reminds you of home or that's of decent quaity but this place does a really good job of doing that.

The chocolate eclairs are great, I'd also recommend the Salmon baguette it was super.

Lot of nice little treats, interiors are comfy, staff are really lovely.

Would highly recommend to anyone looking in the area!

Upon arrival I had my doubts about this place however when the food was served, it immediately lifted my mood with its beautiful presentation. Portions were large and everything on the plate looked aesthetically pleasing.

I ordered the french toast with grilled bananas, poached pear and streaks of bacon. Although everything complimented everything nicely, the french toast got a bit soggy towards the middle.
However I appreciate the bacon being crunchy and not burnt!

Service was average and the interiors need refurbishing but other than that they serve loose french pastries also.

Food 7/10
Service 5.5/10
Ambience 5/10
Price 6/10

TLDR: excellent food, great coffee, cosy place!

First time here today and I have to say I love this place so much! It’s the first cafe that’s actually provoked me to make a review on Zomato. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant when looking for a place to have breakfast this morning. I’m surprised the Zomato rating is only at 3.6 (at the time of making this review) as I feel it deserves to be much higher!

I ordered an Iced Americano and Eggs Benedict, and my boyfriend ordered a long black and Eiffel Breakfast. Both dishes were presented almost immaculately well, and tasted as amazing as they looked. The eggs were deliciously soft and the yolk poured over the bacon, hash brown, and toast when prodded with a fork. The bread was absolutely exquisite - soft and mildly sweet instead of the usual dry, toasted bread that other restaurants will often serve. I’m personally not a big fan of “dry” foods, so the bread was a super nice touch! The bacon was done just right, not the crunchy, half-burnt stuff that a lot of cafes and restaurants will give you. My boyfriend also commented on how soft the eggs were and he loved his dish!

The cafe was busy, 3/4 full but still a nice, quiet place to enjoy your breakfast. A lot of the customers seemed to be regulars (staff greeting customers by name, etc).

Decoration and atmosphere is a suggested improvement for Eiffel en Eden. There wasn’t much of a colour scheme, no music, and didn’t seem to be themed (although there were a couple France-related paintings spread across the cafe’s walls). Some background music would also be pleasant for those enjoying their breakfast on their own so they’re not accompanied by silence.

Presentation: 5/5
Taste: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Atmosphere: 3.5/5

Cosy little cafe. Good service and friendly staff. Tried their eclairs - coffee and chocolate flavours and the taste was just what I wanted in eclairs. Good pastry and the custard inside was not too sweet.

What a cute Cafe with blue and white theme. Definitely made my morning with a strong cup of flat white while I was waiting for an appointment. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The decor - Oh so Paris!❤️
Definitely coming back here. Such good vibes.

A friend and I decided to try a French Cafe since she's heading off to Paris soon. Initially we wanted to go to Flotette but they're closed on Mondays. But we luckily saw that Eiffel en Eden was open and just up the road.

The place has a cosy atmosphere with classic decor and all the little Parisian touches. The staff are friendly and accommodating and it's a nice place to be away from the cold weather.

But the food was a major disappointment. The pantry is stocked with an assortment of goods but it resembles more of a Kiwi-styled bakery than a French one. The macarons look like sliced golf balls. The pastries have ill-defined layers and just look quite old. This place isn't very Vegetarian friendly. We ordered two savoury muffins but had to ask for them to be taken back as they had bacon. There weren't many options for us to choose from on the menu. Most of the items on the menu had either the addition of bacon or ham. The only vegetarian mealson the menu were either a vegetable frittata, muesli or a vegetable quiche from the pantry.

I ordered the Vegetable Quiche. It had a nice pastry shell with soft eggs. But it only consisted of tomatoes and courgette. It was bland and needed more salt and pepper. The portion was small. No larger than the size of my own palm and I have small hands. For $7.00 it was not worth it. My friend ordered the salmon tart and mentioned that the smoked salmon was nice.

We also got some of their sweets. We shared the lemon tart and pear tart. The lemon tart was delicious. The pastry was nice and short with a zingy filling. But the pear tart was bad. The pear was canned not poached and had an overwhelming syrup taste. The filling lining the tart was grainy like it was split. It just tasted cold as though it absorbed the flavour from a fridge.

We both had something to drink as well. I got a Spicy Chai. My milk was steamed wrong, it was not creamy. But just had excess large foams at the top. Also the latte was very diluted. It had no flavour and just tasted like warmed milk. My friend ordered a Mocha and really enjoyed her drink. Her drink looked creamy and she said it had a delicious chocolate taste.

I guess this is a good to go stop for a caffeinated drink. And maybe some lemon tart. But I wouldn't come here again for a good meal.

There's a nice friendly atmosphere to this place which is situated along Dominion road near Wendys. We've been coming here for the past month and enjoy the coffee, laughs and catchup. Having visit France on several occasions it's nice to walk in here and escape the humdrum for a while. :)

It is nice little french cafe in mt eden... perfect for a sunny or rainy day brekkie, brunch or lunch.

It has got good and exclusive variety of french breads, savouries, relishes, even yummy sweet stuff.... just like a perfect french patisserie and brasserie.

A must go....

Went in today for a quick bite to eat. Had a pain au chocolat and my friend got a custard donut. Both of them were delightfully baked, probably among the best French pastries I've had in Auckland, and reasonably priced too. Could really tell that they were using proper French flour to bake, and have a proper understanding of French cuisine which is rather lacking around the city, only a few good French places around here. Will definitely be back soon to have some more, potentially to have a nice French convo over coffee. Would recommend for sure.

Visited Eiffel en Eden for lunch/afternoon tea. They're one of the few places to remain open from lunch right through to dinner - good on them! Especially for those that have things on around lunch time and can't always get something to eat before kitchens promptly close at 2pm.

Their coffee is great; the froth on my cauppuccino was delicious, albeit it did seem to mean I got less coffee (my partner still had a lot so may have just been mine)!

The eggs benedict was excellent - eggs runny, great hollandaise sauce, and good presentation.

The cafe has an extensive selection of patisseries, and we tried a few - I wasn't too keen on them through, and they didn't taste particularly fresh. So not sure if they're made fresh daily.

Madeleine and a cup of Flat white, a magnificent combination for a weekend morning. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. There is a wide range of French pastries, from eclairs to flavored macarons... it's just like a quick stop-by to Paris. A fabulous place to have a smart brunch or afternoon tea with friends and family. 10/10 would recommend this splendid and delightful cafe :)

The best Pasta I have had hands down! For 2017.

Incredible taste, rich, sweet, tasty, slightly fancy! I love the past soooo much! Seafood alfredo!

I will come here again any day just to taste their pasta again.

Eiffel breakfast want bad too, but at the same price I will go with pasta again :)!

Environment: 4.5/5
Food Quality: 5/5
Food Quantity: 5/5
Service: 4.5/5
Price $20-$25pp

This place is nowhere near as good as the old Eiffel on Eden. Lots of bakery stuff but not much of it French. The biggest macarons I've ever seen and they are pretty good. My low rating is for the abysmal baguettes which are just soft white bread in the shape of a baguette. A real shame because it's a great location and the staff are super nice.

I think this place is one of the best pastries places in town. I love how they are so crispy and crunchy on the outside, but the inside were soft and fluffy! Coffees were good too! And the staff were super friendly! I love this place!
