We LOVE UMI. Pay per piece and pick your own rolls. It's delicious and a great price. Awesome location in the heart of Takapuna. Friendly employees and coke/water available to buy.

Love Umi Sushi! A great place for lunch. The rolls are a great price and the selection is fantastic. Have to get there early to get the best selection as it does thin out when noon passes. People who serve are great. I must admit I miss the staff member who tried to remember what my accompaniments were!

My favourite sushi place. Staff is so lovely and I always have a smile in there. The sushi is delicious, I always have the rice balls. Will go out of my way to go here. It’s also so reasonably priced!! Haven’t gone wrong here yet!

In my mind this is the best sushi around. There is alway a large selection and it's always fresh. Only problem is i end up spending way more money than i was ment to 😔😔. I love trying something new when i go. The chilli glazed tempura prawns are my recommendation. Also I love how their wasabi has a desent bite. Yum yum. Never leave me 😍😍😍

I have thoroughly enjoyed the selection choices and variety of food in the premises... This is a Korean twist on Japanese classics... from the onigiri to the roll sushi to the deep fried sushi... The flavours were great... from the tempura which was light and crispy to the tofu sticks packed with flavour... even the rice dessert snacks were a delight

They have the best sushi, so many different options with all types of fillings and styles. Also like 90% of it is $1 which is awesome. It's totally worth coming here for food on your lunch break.

Come here really often when studying at the library. Always reliable decent sushi for a really good price. The sushi isn't amazing but it's consistent and satisfying.

Very disappointed today that my daughter has been vomiting after takeaways at Umi Sushi. we have been here for takeaways a few times before with no problems. We were there about 2pm so maybe the food had been sitting there for a while. It's extremely likely linked because she hasn't eaten anything else outside the home.

The selection of sushi is fantastic, they also have a good range of yakitori and other grilled stuff, but the food itself is quite average. Their donburi is pretty nice though, good value for money.

Great place if you're after something savory and filling. The service here is excellent, the people here are nice and friendly. Food here is authentic and always fresh. I've got to say it's also very affordable. Place is always crowded, but it's definitely still worth the wait, as it doesn't take long for you to be able to grab your favorite sushi. They have plenty of options available for everyone including vegetarian and even vegan options. Overall, I've always had a good experience coming here, this place is highly recommended.

Food tastes nice but even the non-sushi food are almost always cold. Imagine eating a snack chicken donburi with cold rice! I hope there's a way for them to keep their other dishes warm. It's probably not easy with how they designed their store--get what you want and go. The packaging doesn't make it easy to heat up when you arrive at your office as well.

I love the honey rice thing they have. But they are usually out of it, if you go there late...around 3 or 4 pm. It's a clean place and everything is fresh and delicious.

Been to umi sushi heaps and I'm always excited to go back! They have a great variety of sushi at an incredible price and It's always fresh and always tastes great. It fills you up for a very small price and it's very healthy to top it off! Definitely a must try.. well worth it :)
