Review Guan Cafe - Auckland

L M
Fantastic service! Very warm welcoming hostess. Food cooked perfectly. we had the special Guan wrap and mushroom wrap and fried sweet yam spring roll for starters. I loved the taste of the pancake wraps, new to us. Many vegan options. Wish we were staying longer so we could eat more of the amazing selection.

Everything is perfect. Portion of snacks is a bit small

Had a fantastic experience here. Service was excellent, the host was very welcoming and friendly, and the cafe venue itself is very modern, open, and relaxed. Food also came very quickly. The whole family loved the food. Comment from the 6 year old: this is the best noodles I've ever had. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Best Vegan food in East Auckland... and possibly all of Auckland. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. The club sandwich was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed dining here, as the food is both hearty and healthy. Loads of vegan options in the menu and the coffee is out of this world. Highly recommend the matcha. They seem to close quite early so great for a quick lunch. Would love to come back soon for more.

Have to recommend the Laksa soup, it will change your world! The flavours are so rich and well balanced and everything was cooked perfectly and fast too! I’ll be dreaming of that soup until I return again :)

Hot, full of flavour and quick service. Alot of Vegan/Vegetarian options. The teens loved the burger option and the laksa. we all agree, would highly recommended!

Had the Laksa 🍜 It'll been better if it had more in-depth flavour and more tofu, but it's not bad. Great service and nice double shot coffees ☕

Lovely food and lovely staff! Was passing by after lunch and decided to check this place out. My only regret is not having the stomach space to order more! I had the spinach and pumpkin pie and it was creamy and flavourful. This is the remaining half of my pie, I devoured the first half before remembering to snap a photo. Thank you!

The food is amazing (you have to try their special black pepper sauce!). The staffs are very friendly and polite, and the food menu is rather interesting so we will definitely go back and try something else.

Hello I Am
I love all the food here, there aren’t many vegetarian/vegan places in this area so it is nice to have somewhere where I can always go to to have a delicious lunch or dinner. The hot drinks and vegan desserts there are great too. Would definitely go again!

Good vegan options, reasonable prices, the sweet&sour chicken was a bit too sweet but calamari was good.

It is quite a nice space and cozy cafe. I ordered fried rice today. I think its yummy even though I am not vegetarian.
I would like to recommend this cafe to all the vegetarian, its so yum and I will definitely come back again. They have many other choices that I would really love to try.
Five stars!
My first time at this establishment. Ordered a tofu rice dish ($15) ate in and curry pie ($6) to takeaway. Food is tasty enough with multiple vegetarian options. The lack of stars due to their pettiness, poor customer service and lack of attention to detail. I used their power socket which is easily accessible to charge my laptop. Asked the permission of the lady and she said it was fine. The cable was connected to the power socket next to my table and was not in the way of other patrons at all. One hour later, the lady came and said ' excuse me, we cannot provide power for a long time' and proceeded to remove the cable herself. My laptop was charged up from 10%-89% so I said yeah it's fine and took it off. Even Starbucks and coffee shops allow you to sit in for hours and charge your phones etc or free wifi with just a drink, whereby I spent $21 on myself in this place. The pie was given to me in a paper bag that was unsealed on both ends meaning it does not serve its purpose as a bag! I dropped the pie to the floor but still picked it up, and went to ask for a new bag. When she saw that all of her pie paper bags have loose ends on both sides, she gave me another paper bag. I told her because of the unsealed bag, I dropped the pie. She offered no apologies, did not offer to replace the pie to a new one etc. Sad to say, I'm never coming back.

Had a great lunch here! Little cafe in Botany :) Hubby had the laksa, which was tasty! I had the three cup ‘chicken’ and highly recommend it! Huge meals, friendly staff what’s not to love?

Eating clean is harder than eating fast and unhealthy food. They used fresh mushroom and vegetables for the dishes we ordered. Price is reasonable for the ingredients they used. It was so great. The restaurant is clean with cosy music. If you are a vegetarian, i will definitely recommend you on this cafe.

Went to Guan Cafe for lunch. We ordered their special braised noodle soup and vegan chicken in 3 cup sauce. Both dishes were great! The only comment is that the amount of ingredients provided was less than what the price is worth (in my opinion). Other than that, it’s a great place to drop by for lunch, especially on a nice day :)

Nice little place. The staff are friendly. The service is quite good. The price is reasonable as the dishes ranged from $12-15. However the soup noodle both my dad and I ordered were relatively small. The bowl was only half full. Would be better if there were abit more noodles. Portion wise there fried noodle is a better value for money option. There omelette and big breakfast were done quite well too. Overall another good option to choose around the Botany area.

Saw the vegetarian signboard out front but it was too late to run away, the staff had spotted me and greeted me big smiles and enthusiasm. Waltzed in and was impressed with the upgrade and clean modern decor. No remnants of the former bakery that sat on this corner site. Been open for about 2 months.

Played it safe with the big breakfast, they use real free range eggs (i went with scrambled) so unsure if you call this true vegan. The mock sausage and ham was actually pretty good. It's not the same as the real McCoy but it's is enjoyable.
Wifey went with a mock beef (tofu base) and mushroom soup, it wasn't bad.
Slave girl chose the veggie wrap and fries. The wrap was awesome and slave girl didn't want to share. The fries were up to spec. We ordered the lemon lime frappe. It was okay but wont order it again. Not my flavor for me but it was well made. The mocha with walnut was divine
It was an enjoyable meal and I was surprised I was full. Will definitively visit again and have suggested it to my vegan friends and family.
