Came across Kubick looking for a quick bite for lunch, while exploring Auckland city, the good we very tasty, service was friendly and fast, a good surprise where the food portions, value for money.

I was surprised by the low rating rating of this place. Female owner was very friendly, and served us items off-menu. Food came quickly. Sake was decent for the price. I've been here 3-4 times over the last few years, and am yet to have a negative experience.
A hole in the wall, no doubt. But good food, affordably priced. A great place on a cold, rainy day to grab a hot udon bowl. The katsu is as good as anything I've had in Tokyo.
The Sushi are beautiful and delicious. And the Bento are good value too.

High quality and very decent Japanese cuisine, similar to what I had whist traveling in Japan.
Go there often, food is always good and staff has always been kind, would definitely recommend.
Versatile kitchen. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Great service.
