Mila and her team made the most wonderful wedding cake for us in December just been (2022). A 3 layered red velvet cake with nude icing & caramel drizzling, with fresh flowers & a topper. The team did the most wonderful job and delivered it out to the reception venue! Everything ran so smoothly! The cake was so moist and tasted amazing - all out guests loved it!! Thanks again!

Ordered a 1 metre 1 digit birthday cake. Smooth sailing from the consultant to collecting the cake. Delicious and moist chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. Simple and everyone loved the look and taste. Would highly recommend and would buy from Mila & her cake shop again. Thank you so much

Well, to start off, icing on the cake is a great meeting place for friends and family. When you walk in a sweet aroma greets you. I'm a big fans of the slushies and milkshakes. Divine frozen yogurts (with homemade waffle cones.) friendly, sociable servers. Overall great service in a wonderful area so would definitely recommend to a pal. Thanks, and have a good one folks.

I have been coming here for many years. Great service and arguably the best quality cup cakes around. Yes, pricing is premium but then again you are receiving a premium product, so no issues there for me. Will be continuing my custom for years to come if the quality and service remains.

Not only did they deliver exactly to my specifications from an image I found online for my daughter's birthday cake, they were easy to deal with, accommodating and really communicative. I'd definitely recommend.

If you have a sweet teeth like me. You should enjoy the time with the layers of Cupcakes, thick shakes and milkshakes & plus coffee to. You can't go wrong there at lunch break. If I'm working with the lads at work. You need the extra kick to get you through the rest of the day....Lol!

Honestly, if there is ZERO starred rating, I will put that for my experience.<br/><br/>I ordered a birthday cake for my boy on 8th Jan to pick up today. <br/>When we dropped by the cake shop, so surprisingly disappointed that the cake was so plain that only a small lego guy sitting on a plain green cake. No other decor around except for about 1cm height of chocolate sprinkle around the side of the cake.<br/><br/>We carefully hold the cake, put it in the car securely fastened seatbelt for the box to assure the cake so that it could reach home safely. <br/><br/>When my son wanted me to open it up so that he could show his dad his cake, that were what happened to the cake exactly in the photos I shared - figurine dropped off the cake, damaging the cake. <br/>When I tried take the figurine up, the eyebrows, eyes and mouth of the lego guy were gone!<br/><br/>I took photos sent to the shop owner and asked for refund of $70. She called back and requested me to bring the cake back so that she could "fix" it. It was impossible for me to took a half day off to pick up the cake and another few hours time off to send the cake back to get it fixed! <br/>She kept saying they would not offer refund as it was not their responsible once the cake left their shop.<br/><br/>Come on! If the figurine was sit properly on a cake and if the cake base was firm enough, the cake surely could hold the figurine without it falling on the cake and damaged the cake as we did not shake the box and did not overturn the box - it was just normal handling of the box.<br/>Obviously it was the butter cream cake that too soft and the figurine was too heavy (usually sugar figurine artists will use a stick to attach the figurine to the cake firmly so that the figurine would sit steadily, firmly on the cake base which the owner did not do) when the figurine not sitting on the cake properly, it surely will damage to the cake as it was a butter cream cake!<br/>The owner should have informed me that sugar figurine topper was not suitable for butter cream cake but she did not. They are simply unprofessional!<br/><br/>The owner insist not to refund me but to just offer me a store credit of half the cake price.<br/>Why I was not getting my full refund for a damaged cake caused by their unprofessional way of taking order and making cake?<br/>Furthermore, it was all about I could not get a custom made cake for my son for his birthday today anymore!<br/><br/>I have been ordering many custom made sugar figurine cakes from other cake artists before and had never came across problem like this one. Very disappointed with Icing on the Cake. <br/>DO NOT GO FOR THIS CAKE SHOP!

This is one of the best cake shops I’ve ever been to in Auckland. I preordered a customised design birthday cake during the Christmas-NY holidays from them (as most cake shops were either closed or not accepting any preorders during that period). <br/><br/>The staffs are really friendly and helpful. They are very detail-oriented in ensuring that my customised designs are projected perfectly onto the cake. I was really happy with how the cake turned out to be; beautifully designed and adorable to look at. Besides, it taste amazing. I would definitely recommend this shop and will be sure to return for more 😄

The icing on the cupcakes isn’t good. It’s like a flavourless whipped cream. If they changed it to more of a ganache, they would be worth the price. <br/>On a plus side, the cupcake bases where very nice.

I'M BIG ON CUPCAKES!!!! so it takes a lot to please me lol this is my all time favourite cupcake place in Auckland. I am a huge fan of the funfetti cupcakes and cake. Every batch I've had has been baked to perfection toppled with the perfect butter cream. Love the set out of the store it is located on the .ain road so you will need to find off street parking. Over a happy and always satisfied customer.

NO NO NO! <br/>Damaged cake was what I got for my son birthday!<br/>When owner was asked for refund refused to do so. <br/>Not to mention lousy design - a plain green cake with a red LEGO guy sitting on it without any decor and only 1cm height chocolate rice surrounded the cake! The color of green and red did not match at all! Shouldn’t it be full of chocolate rice cover at the whole side of the cake - why just 1cm?!<br/>Heavy sugar figurine sit on butter cream cake without extra support to secure its position. When stepped out of the shop heard something fell off inside the box, when reached home saw the figurine damaged the cake. <br/>Obviously owner is not professional enough - not supposedly to offer us to have figurine on butter cream cake!<br/>Owner offered store credit to me via phone call but no store credit being issued and owner just went disappeared as the wind after my complaint phone call.<br/>DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!<br/>

I find one of the hardest things when you like good food is when it is a birthday and you need to get a cake. Its so easy to get fed up with the usual kind of cakes you expect from place. <br/>I have gone past this local Herne Bay spot so so so many times and its one of those things where you always say to yourself you will try it. I finally did and I am absolutely kicking myself that I did not do it earlier. <br/><br/>Firstly lets talk about the selection cakes, while it might not be a huge selection, its all quality. I am always a fun of unusual things or at least pairings of flavours that aren't always commonly done. Each of the cakes sold here have been well thought about and are unique and really offer something quite exciting for the people wanting to escape from the dull and boring flavours that are sold everywhere else. <br/><br/>Being an absolute sucker for caramel anything I went with the Banana Caramel cake, it was damn good too. Not sickly sweet, the frosting was light and fluffy and the taste of caramel all through the cake was amazing.<br/>Careful attention to detail is made to each cake, even frosting, great consistency, can't even fault anything about it. <br/><br/>Super friendly and helpful staff that we good with answering the tough cliche questions of which one is the best cake. This place is my new go to for cakes 100%.<br/><br/>The cakes are flawless and everything else is, um, I guess, icing on the cake...

Googled these guys and saw the lamington cake and there was no going back... Ordered a large pile of cakes from them and they were all outstanding! My whole work were super impressed with them yesterday arvo and the Banana Caramel cake was the stand out and disappeared SO quickly!<br/><br/>Thanks guys! will definitely be looking at you again for next months Cake Day :)

Stopped by this wee gem on my afternoon stroll with the kids. The frozen yoghurt is DELICIOUS (we had passionfruit, which is the flavour of the month at the moment). This is going to sound odd but their waffle cones are the BEST I've ever tasted, I think there might be a touch of cinnamon in them. A great way to silence the whingers when we're still some distance from the car.<br/><br/>However, the tastiest morsel has to be the two cupcakes that I got takeaway for a treat for myself and the husband tonight - PB & Jam. That's a peanut butter cupcake, with peanut butter frosting, with a raspberry jam centre, sprinkled with toasted peanut pieces.<br/><br/>I think I've died and gone to heaven!

Definitely the best place in Auckland for cup cakes, frozen yoghurt and thickshakes!
