Review The Little District - Auckland

A couple of us decided to have dinner here last minute and we thank them for taking us in as it was late and they were closing the kitchen. The Angus Fillet was cooked to absolute perfection. We all enjoyed our meal now we have a great steak place to take our out of town friends too. The portions are great value but also the quality it was definitely well priced. Its been a long time since I have eaten at a restaurant where I felt I got great value for my money. The chef that cooked for us last Saturday you are the best.

This was my 3rd consecutive year coming to The Little District! 3 completely different events, set up, audience and requirements but the team here just nailed it every single time! A huge shout out to the entire team that was present Wednesday afternoon 4pm onwards for making our event an epic, special thanks to Michael, he’s an absolute star! Looking for a prime location spot that ticks all the boxes such as food, service, ambience, staff and value for money, look no further!! 110% recommended, they know what they are doing 🥂

At Sylvia Park's culinary precinct The Little District is a great value for money restaurant. Angus steaks times 3. Southern Fried Chicken times 2. And a Beef, bacon and cheeseburger ordered by the Fast Food Friday Foodie Bumz crew. Sides... fries, portobello mushrooms and Wedges with sour cream and sweet Chilli sauce. No need to season the steaks. Just perfect. Chicken with Chipotle sauce was crispy yet moist on the inside with a nice kick. Huge sides of fries, mushrooms and wedges. So hard to finish 😁. Burger with a huge patty tasty cheese and tangy bacon. Only one dessert tonight a chocolate fondant. Went down a treat as judged by T 🤣🤣. Lovely venue with a cruisy atmosphere. 9/10 coconuts on the island scale for sure. Give it a go.

Great for friends and family. Drinks are tasty and delivered to you quick. Food is brilliant. Staff are friendly and don’t mess around. My favourite place to socialise after a long day of work or on a day off. Def would recommend.

First time there. Very nice place. The food was tasty and delicious. My wife loved her beetroot salad. The service was top notch. Waited 10mins then all the food came out at the same time. Thank you LD.

Came here for a birthday dinner with family. Might be because we came really early when no one else was in the restaurant yet but the food came really fast! We ordered a lamb shank, beef and bacon burger, a salad (don’t remember name) and deep fried calamari. They were all quite good.

Perfect for a group - 22 of us on a rainy blustery Thursday for a work dinner. The team at Little District were brilliant. Great service both at the bar and for the food. Any time we looked like we needed someone one of the team would be there immediately. Good coordination & communication between the wait staff and the bar too. Great cocktails - coconut crumble was my favourite. They don't have a mocktail menu but the virgin mojito they created was perfect. The food was good too. The eggplant bites to share were a lovely surprise and the lamb shank nicely tender. Surf n Turf portion is huge with the steak perfectly done. The chocolate dessert was fabulous. Only disappointment was the cheesecake - rather too dense. Special mention to the kitchen - we all ordered individually when there so was bracing myself for a huge wait time. But the food came out surprisingly fast. Will definitely keep this on the list for groups dinners

Really good food, throughly enjoyed my Chicken Burger. .. Lemon & Lime Cheesecake was Fabulous... Helpful freindly staff... Was a Monday when we went, was not busy, so was a quiet and relaxed atmosphere...

Went there for a team lunch and pre-ordered the menu. Everything came exactly on time as we reached there. Staff were attentive and friendly. I ordered the market fish, while the fish (salmon but depends on the day) tasted amazing, the salad part of it was bit of a let down especially the potatoes were undercooked. Dressing could have been better but overall nice vibe to the place and food looked good. While there was a variety of cocktails, they didn't have mocktails so I went for the lemonade which was okay but again felt a bit left out. Would be great if there can be some nonalcoholic options from the cocktail menu. Washrooms are upstairs so keep in mind that you arent leaving things to last minute. All in all, a good experience.

Came for a work lunch at midday on Friday. Ordered from the $20 menu which was decent value. There was a wait of over an hour for the food, which wasn’t communicated to us until an hour into it. There seemed to be one manager, one kitchen staff, and two very busy waitstaff. Definitely could have done with another person in the kitchen at least. The medium rare steak we ordered came out medium well, but was definitely not bad for the price. The cheeseburger comes without any sides and probably wouldn’t be enough as a stand-alone meal for a hungry person. Lovely atmosphere with plants and windows, but the music was slightly too loud for comfortable conversation across a table for 6.

Entree was yummy! My cocktail was delicious ( it was something sour), dinner was fricken YUMMMMY. We had lamb shank and also a steak meal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Ample’s space, comfortable seating, easy access to car park and the mall.

I’ve eaten here a few times at different times of the day & have never been disappointed🙌💯👍 I’ll recommend the the cauliflower on the entree menu, it’s DELICIOUS & VERY MORE’ish & the crispy chicken also yummy😋 Even the hot drinks are good ☕️ ☕️ Recommend 💯

Came to Sylvia Park for dinner and decided to come here after looking at all the other options. Once we entered we were led to the back of the restaurant which looked like an outdoor garden area, tables in between plenty of greenery. Once seated we were given sufficient time to pick out food to share. The pizza was quite nice as was the fried cauliflower. I thought that the pasta for the lamb pappardelle was overcooked so it was really soft. the sauce was nice though. The biggest disappointment was the Alfredo crepes which was really bland and just had the texture of mashed potatos. Overall the meal was alright and better than some of the others I've had in the area.

Nice place for a decent meal. Staff members are friendly and welcoming. Fun overall vibe to hang out with mates etc. The only area of improvement could be the wait time otherwise definitely worth your time and money. Prices are good for the quality and standards offered.

I really enjoyed the ceasar salad, it had all the right ingredients - I usually have to add some lemon and salt as most places use a sweet dressing, but not this time it was perfect. The portion sizes were great and we all left feeling comfortably full.

Came in to order, they took my son's order but then didn't come back to take mine. When his food came out was too late for me to order. Also didn't ask if I wanted a drink while I waited for my son to finish his meal. Very unprofessional

Loved <br/>- the cocktails though second round didnt taste like it had any alcohol at all <br/>- the beef was so tender and such a well balanced dish<br/>- decent portion sizes <br/><br/>Didn't love <br/>- the pizza was average, neither of us were a fan <br/>- service was slowww

Firstly I’d like to point out the positive- that they lady serving us was so so accommodating even tho we had a very over tired and fussy baby! She offered, water, activities and was just over all a great host. The food however.... took a while over 20-25minutes to reach the table and when I cut into my eggs bene I got a fully hard egg. For both. <br/>Such a shame that the bad food outweighed the great customer service. <br/>Same issue with the eggs on my partners corn fritters and the table sitting close to us 🤷🏻‍♀️
Chris
Food and service here is amazing. We always look forward to the Pizzas

Unfortunately this place has seriously gone down hill since our last visit. Two family members ordered the fish and chips which smelt AWFUL and tasted even worse, the fish was obviously off and inedible. The chicken fettucine was also disappointing and very watery and seemed like it had been microwaved and left my family member with food poisoning. The new cocktail menu didn't clearly say what were in the drinks or the alcohol in it. The kids pizzas were fine and so was the salad. Over all the food and drinks were disappointing and unsafe to be eaten leaving 3 people with upset stomachs. The only good thing to point out was that the service by the waitors was great, the new guy did a great job and made us feel welcome and took our complaints on board, however the people higher up and the chefs did not even take the complaint seriously or even offer any compensation or apology. Very disappointed.

We arrived after 1pm on a weekeday, so the place was not very busy. <br/>Table service for first drinks was between 15-20min! We were sitting less than 3 mtrs from the bar<br/>Table service for entree was 30-40min for a bowl of hot chips. The chips turned up cold! We were less than 3 mtr for the kitchen<br/>Mains started to arrive approx 1hr after order, however not together. Mains for 5 people were served one at a time over a 20min period following!.. Then one of the mains orders was not processed.....

Food quality is just ok. On the pricier side. Good cocktail but pizza is pretty average
Saiko
I enjoyed the atmosphere, but sad to say the food was not as great as it seemed

Pretty venue with a modern vibe. <br/>Polite staff & very attentive. The food was served quick so we didn’t have to wait long. Ordered the chicken fettucine & steak with garlic pizza bread. It was delicious! Although the menu had changed from the last time I was there, the food was still great!<br/>Great place to catchup with friends over drinks too!

Unfortunately husband and i did not enjoy our visit here for dinner tonight. A few reasons why, one - after we ordered entres with me saying "to start with" the waitress came back and took our menu away without asking about mains. The place itself was super crowded and the music so high we could barely hear each other yelling across the table. The table of which was so small that when our entres came she had to wait for us to grab a couple of slices of the garlic bread so she could put the squid on top. All we had on table was 2 beers and 2 waters. So now onto food - we were going to insist on ordering our mains when she came over with entres but at the look of them we wernt too happy. The garlic bread was more dry pizza base than anything else, very thin and minimal flavour. And the squid, that was actually cooked really well which is why we havnt gone completely to a 1 star - however thats as far as praise goes as there were absolutely no salt and pepper on our salt and pepper squid, very poorly seasoned and bland. From here we had to wander around trying to find a staff member so that we could pay our bill, when he asked what our plans were for the rest of the night i had to bite my tongue and stop from saying "going to the food court to get some better food"<br/>On a good note - the food and service at kiwi grill was spot on. :-D

I've been here for drinks, lunch and brunch. The only thing that brings me here is there is always a table. Food wise is very very average. Wood fired pizzas average. The jalapeno fritters lacked any flavour. Service has been inconsistent. The time I went for lunch and had the pizza and fries our table didnt get any cutlery or napkins. No water. Another time we went for brunch the waitress was really attentive. Very hit and miss. Food not recommended. Maybe just go up to bar and for a drink at the most.

Margherita pizza tour location #3️⃣: The Little District, Sylvia Park. <br/><br/>Right in your face as you walk into Sylvia Park from the carpark into The Grove Dining District. It's a large restaurant with plenty of tables for seating couples, families or the discerning solo diner. Friendly, inviting and warm, you'll be comfortable here to share a drink or two while enjoying some stone oven pizza.<br/><br/>Let's get straight to business. We came for the Margherita pizza and it was okay. The base was soft and doughy, not airy and light like the other places we've been to recently and the base wasn't as crunchy, but that's not a problem for me. The fresh tomato made the pizza a bit wet and the wood fire aspect was missing. Other than that it was an okay Margherita, nothing to sing home about. <br/><br/>We also had the madonna, a chicken, brie and cranberry pizza. Was decent but a bit sweet for our liking. And for our little girl, we got some spaghetti bolognese. This was quite interesting as the flavours were very different from the ones we've had before. There were some earthy/smoky notes, almost like some roast capsicum or something else added in there that made it very different to the traditional bolognese taste. Interesting for sure!<br/><br/>The staff were friendly and welcoming. Even got Amelia some colouring pencils and an activity sheet to do! Thanks team 😊<br/><br/>Unfortunately they are no longer ok Zomato gold so no one for one's! We were looking forward to a moderately priced lunch! <br/><br/>All in all, a nice place to go share a few drinks and a meal. Great atmosphere and vibe if you catch it at the right time.<br/><br/>Dined with Sueshi 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧<br/>#pizza

Came here for lunch today, we ordered two pizzas the Margherita and the Madonna and a kids meal spaghetti bolognese that came with a juice. The food was average, the kids portion of the spaghetti bolognese was big for a kid. The service was great didn’t take too long to get our food and the staff were friendly.
Diana Garcia
Service a bit slow but friendly, we ordered pasta and steak, they were ok but the pasta tasted like canned tomato sauce and the meat was average good portions tho
Melissaf.xx
They did not honour Zomato Gold buy one get one free main, as they said the lamb and steak dish was not part of the deal but that is not part of the terms and conditions. They were quite rude saying that they are going to get rid of Zomato Gold so they don’t have to follow the rules. What is the point of being on Zomato Gold if they do not honour the buy one get one free...

Came here to relax after a long day at work. No staff attends to people who enters the premise even if they see you coming in and you have to help yourself to the tables. We had cocktails and pizza and they were superb. Though no one checks up on you if how was the food going or if you want seconds on your drink. The service was a let down but food is great.
June Robinson
Attentive waiting staff, we ordered the fries, salt and pepper squid, sweetcorn arancini - the arancini was very tasty - crunchy on the outside and rich and creamy in the middle accompanied by a chipotle mayonnaise which was not overpowering
Eater
We had fillet steak and fish and chips and two cocktails. The food was pretty good and i really liked strawberry cocktail and also house cocktail was pretty good(coconut and pineapple one)<br/>

Close to cinema entrance at Sylvia Park, good vibe of the deco and seatings. It was Thursday lunch time, not too many customers inside the store, service was pretty efficient. The manager even offered warm water to us. We ordered chicken fettucine, Madonna pizza and roasted beetroot from $15 lunch special menu. Nothing really special but fresh, tasty. Zomato Gold can be used for lunch specials. Would come back again with friends.

Venue is beautiful. Food was average and service was poor at first until another staff member took over who was lovely. I would go back and try something else as the steak I got was not med-rare and was tough. Food is well presented though.
Jessy Yao
Reasonable price and good food

Had to wait a while to get served. The waitress that took our order forgot all our sides. They also ran out of muffins so eggs Benedict was served on toast. It wasn't that busy but service was slow and food average.

I love this little restaurant the food is absolutely delicious and the staff here are so friendly and very polite. I’ll be back keep up the good work fabulous people

Good food, great ambience and music. Location is very convenient as well. We tried pizza and pasta both were excellent. Customer service was superb.

It has great ambiance which makes it a nice place to spend Friday evenings. Staff was accommodating and their service was prompt. Loved the pasta and lamb rump we ordered. Pizza was okay.

With a modern industrial look, the place is wide and spacious with plenty seating. Lovely service and staff were friendly and accomodating. Kid-friendly, it's a nice place to take a break from the shopping! However, our food took a while with only two staff in the kitchen. Baked cannenoli was my favourite but then I'm always a sucker for baked dishes 😋 super yum and served sizzling - it had some nuts in it too which was a nice touch. Also had the marinara pizza, lamb rump and scogch fillet steak. Nothing stands out as amazing but it was a satisfying meal. Worth it with zomato gold as it is not cheap at normal price.<br/>They also have a $15 Lunch special on weekdays 11-3pm but not available with zomato gold<br/><br/>Check out my insta @ohmyfoodiegoodie to follow more of my tried eats.

Little District is a modern bar/bistro style establishment. High ceilings and open dining area. Lovely interior and atmosphere.<br/><br/>Environment- 4/5 (seating wasn’t the most comfortable for dining).<br/>Service- 5/5<br/>Food- 5/5<br/><br/>I visited here on a Friday night for an early dinner. We were greeted promptly and shown to our table. Service was friendly and attentive. <br/><br/>We ordered a Parma Pizza, fries and the lamb. The menu has a good variety, without being too lengthy. <br/>The food didn’t take too long to arrive. My pizza was lovely - the crust was light, thin and crispy at edges. A light scatter of toppings and flavours were balanced. My friend enjoyed the lamb, presented well and cooked perfect pink. <br/><br/>All in all a great experience. I’ve visited here on a few separate occasions previously and they have been consistent. Also no hassles with using Zomato Gold - amazing value. Will definitely be back! <br/><br/>

The dining environment was quite nice and modern with plants etc, had a great time catching up with a friend here. My friend ordered a fettucine and said she loved her dish, but it was a pity there was no carb free options. Probably a good place for pizza or pasta.
Evaline Shandil
Went here for dinner for the second time as we really enjoyed our food the first time.. HOWEVER I wasn’t impressed with the new menu, not a lot of selection & the few things that were there didn’t really sound that exciting. <br/>Anyways we got the chicken fettuccine - it was alright, I’ve had better. & we got the lamb rump which was on the expensive side - it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. <br/><br/>Probably wouldn’t go for dinner here again however a good place to catch up with a few drinks. Staff were nice too.

First time to dine here with hubby and the kids. We were greeted promptly by the staff. Ambience is nice and welcoming - modern, industrial look. Nice place to catch up with friends. We have ordered the salt and pepper squid, pepperoni pizza, baked cannelloni and chicken fettucine.<br/><br/>The salt and pepper squid was nice, perfectly cook, melts in the mouth. Wish the batter could have been more crispier. The pepperoni pizza is pretty average for me, my son says it’s too “tangy”. Baked Cannelloni?? yummm! served sizzling in the plate! the only downside for this dish is that the serving is too small. Chicken fettuccine - I find the dish too dry, not much sauce and only a few small slices of chicken in there. <br/><br/>Overall our experience is pretty average but would probably come back to try other dishes.

We came here on a weekday afternoon , place was quite quiet, we ordered a few plates to share (rocket salad, bolognese, meatball and fish and chips), everything was tasty, environment is great for big group gatherings and kids friendly. <br/><br/>

Very enjoyable delicious food. Lamb and steak both very tasty and delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Great with Zgold. <br/><br/>Service: 4/5<br/>Presentation: 5/5<br/>Environment: 4/5<br/>Food Quality: 5/5<br/>Food Quantity: 5/5<br/>

Absolutely love the decor of Little District. The place has easily the best ambiance of the restaurants in Sylvia Park. I ordered the madonna pizza - super tasty, fresh and perfect amount of toppings. Can't wait to come back!
Natalie.r.a.good
Personally really like this place the atmosphere was good the decoration was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was incredible. Will definitely be back
Michelle Moth
The staff were friendly but we had to wave to get their attention so we could order our food. I ordered their steak which I thought was bland and the presentation was awful. Over priced for the quality of the food. The kumura was not roasted but instead tasted like it was steamed. No cooked vegetables only a scattering of rockets all over the plate. It looked soooo messy. I had to ask for more jus and added lots of slat and pepper to get some flavour to the dish. The steak was more poached.. no flavour, just a slab of unseasoned meat. I forgot I had Zomato Gold and paid full price for the meal. Not coming back.

Top quality and extremely helpful service. Delicious pizza. Awesome vibe to the place. Would most definitely come again. Highly Recommended.
Natalia Kaliatama Leolahi
Food was really good. The service and vibe of the place were awsome. I had the garlic and cheese pizza bread, chicken fettuccine with a side of fries and really enjoyed my meal.
Lee Ikihagai-Fasi
loved it! great for dinner with friends , great staff so nice and best service. Food was amazing!! I had the lamb rump and the lamb was delicious. Friends had the chicken fettuccine that was nice. The pizzas were great! Overall was a 10. Defs coming back here again :)

Lovely bright and modern decor and atmosphere at this place but very average food and service. It undeniably looks like a super cute place to draw you in to have a hangout sesh, but in terms of food, it is not going on my list of go-to places to dine at at Sylvia - think there are definitely better places than this. :) <br/><br/>Food is just so average. Like, it fills you up and that is all. The Caesar salad still had a fishy taste (?) even after requesting to take out the anchovies. Chicken Carbonara was fine, kinda salty though. And honestly, I’m always just displeased with pizza anyways seeing as pizza hut literally produces the same thing at a fraction of the price. eh.
Phuong Dao
To start with, service was a bit slow but food came reasonably fast. Pepperoni pizza was really good and the spaghetti was average. Nice decoration. They are all $15 lunch which are good values.
Tayla Brown
First coffee was cold, asked for a new one, again, second coffee was cold, and asked again. Male manager tried to “school” me on how “hot” a coffee should be. He had a bad attitude and left an overall very bad experience of the entire restaurant. Made the visit very unenjoyable.
Simone Mulitalo
Love the decor and outdoor atmosphere, drinks were delicious. I didnt eat a full meal but it looked great and well presented. The service was quite slow though and we had to go up to the bar to keep ordering because they didnt come to check on us. Other than that good place for a early summer dinner.
Aleisha T
Great location within Sylvia Park. The restaurant floor plan is very wide and inviting. Service was a bit slow and the meals were nothing “special” but tasted fine in a “it is what it is” way.
Vincent Tong
The food here is quite good, ordered 1 pizza and their fish and chips. The beer batter on their Fish n Chips was quite nice, their chips and the batter on the fish had a nice crunch to it. Pizza was relatively decent, I personally loved the pizza and wouldn't mind coming back again to try their other pizza. Restaurant's ambiance was really nice, loved the inside along with really good staff. P.S if there was a 4.5 rating I would give it a 4.5 rating rather than a 4.
Y Anne
We've been regulars here ever since they opened and it's safe to say that every visit is consistently good, both with the food and service.<br/><br/>Their coffees and wood-fire pizzas are our usual go-tos. We've also tried other stuff like their pasta and sides which are all pretty good.<br/><br/>I love that there are always plenty of sitting options to choose from: high chairs, low chairs and sofa seats. Although they can get quite easy on weekend nights.<br/><br/>Possibly the best dining option in Sylvia Park (we've tried other places at the mall and concur).
Tony Shi
Great place to catch up with mates for a beer and pizza.<br/>Pizzas were decent, wasn't bad but not amazing. Classic flavours from margherita to meatlovers. The "Madonna" which was Tuscan chicken, brie, cranberry and avocado was a nice combo.<br/>Restaurant decor has great personality although the window seats do get a bit hot under the summer sun.<br/><br/>Food: 3/5<br/>Environment: 4/5<br/>Service: 4/5

I have heard a lot about this place and wanted to check it out. The ambiance and atmosphere is great, I love all the decor. But about the food. I found it difficult to choose cause a lot of it sounded so delicious. I ordered the vege pizza and loved it. My friend got the chicken pasta and loved it. The meals are quite big too, too much to finish

Let me start by saying that this was a tough one to rate - having hovered between the three and four for a minute or so. Four of us dined in for lunch. One had a pizza and the 'naked fries', and the rest of us had a different salad each (thus sampling three of the four salads on the menu). The pizza was (so I was told) tasty and the portion size was the norm for pizza. Reports were also that the Caesar salad was tongue pleasing (a hard one to bollox up really - after all it is the salad for people who don't like salad!) The beetroot and walnut salad with feta was apparently tasty but a little far from living up to the price tag. I had the 'wood fired pumpkin' salad with quinoa and despite being the most expensive salad on the menu, was easily the last horse out of the gate. When I imagine 'wood fired' anything I imagine it to be slightly smoky tasting, perhaps even a little crisped on the outside. This would add flavour and caramelised sweetness to balance out the otherwise blandness of spinach leaves, quinoa and capsicum. What eventuated seemed more like boiled pumpkin cut into cubes - sound bland? It was. <br/><br/>The 'naked fries' also deserve mention at $9.00 a pop. For that I had visions of hand cut chunky fries, perhaps even with a bit of their jacket left clinging on for dear life. Regrettably what we received was a somewhat average size bowl of just plain old fries, reminiscent of the ones you might have purchase across the car park at Pak n Save. Sounds like a petty gripe when you detach the price but, for nine bux? Cummon guys! <br/><br/>Food aside (kinda what you go here for though aye) the atmosphere is good and the wait staff and manager were also on their game. Perhaps all that's needed is a review of the disconnect between menu - plate - price. <br/><br/>So, like I say - a tough one to take down ratings avenue but I feel that a three out of five is about as much as can be given based on today's fare.

Great atmosphere!! Music and the overall vibe of the place is awesome. We would give the staffs service a 10 out of 10, they were all so welcoming and nice! We got a seat straight away and our food came out very quick! Food is incredible. We had the fettuccine and the Hawaiian pizza! Both were amazing and delicious and a great sized portion. Would definitely recommend and we will be back

I really like the ambiance of this place. Really clean and beautiful. Everything about the place make u feels comfortable.<br/><br/>Though this place is lacking of service efficiency...they do make delicious food and great for sharing. The price is reasonable too.<br/><br/>Be prepared to wait for your food longer than usual and your table being attended to. This is one area that they need to improve if they want this restaurant to survive.<br/>

Situated at the edge of Sylvia Park Shopping Complex most bustling Foodies District you cannot help be drawn in by “Little Districts” bright lights, trendy colourful greenery and interior... definitely a stunning Venue with a casual comfy feel... my kinda place.<br/><br/>The Staff on arrival are great big smiles attentiveness to get you seated immediately.<br/><br/>The seating tables are smart really cute with a outdoor feel with colourful tropical fabric reminded me of being in a Whams music video ‘Club Tropicana’ hehehe<br/><br/>Menu is an easy read spoiling the vegan vegetarian with delicious wood burning pizzas and burgers... also for the meat lovers chorizo sausage pizzas as well as chicken beef burgers, salads, side platter options also... <br/><br/>Beverages are plentiful too with some cool refreshing in house cocktails.<br/><br/>Well priced between the 3 of us we spent $40 on a meal consisting 2 pizzas, beer battered fish salad chips, 2 burger meals, <br/><br/>3 beverages not bad.<br/><br/>The meals were huge and yummo...<br/><br/>Did the deed for our belly’s lol <br/><br/>Great atmosphere lots of room to move around easily so clean tidy... really nice venue for friends and family to dine in!<br/><br/>Would we go again most definitely

Very nice marinara pizza, the best I've ever had here in AKL, salmon and shrimp portions are very generous, went here last night for dinner and was very pleased. Highly recommended!!

The decor is very cool and I really enjoyed the vibe of the place. The staff were attentive, service was good.<br/>We got a couple of pizzas - they were good. I recommend the Margarita pizza.

I only went there for dessert and asked what was most popular, they suggested we go for the boysenberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was absolutely disgusting, the cheese part was much too salty and tasted off. After just the first bite we felt nauseous. I would not recommend this place at all.

Visited here today for lunch around 1pm, when we arrived it wasn't that busy so we were seated fairly quickly. Drink service and ordering of the food was quick however the food did take a while to arrive. My open steak sandwich was great, the bread was nice and the steak was melt in your mouth delicious! Other half had the chicken parmigiana, he loved it. The chicken was very moist. The aioli that came with the dishes was amazing! Would definitely visit again to try out the pizzas that everybody seemed to be ordering.

My mate and I walked past this place and were interested by the pizza lunch special. When we walked inside, no one was there to greet us and show us a table, and they forgot to take our order as well. Overall there was definitely a lack of service. It got worse once the food arrived. My Margherita pizza was extremely disappointing, it tasted awful! I felt sick and it was the first time I’ve actually never finished my pizza! The only positive was the well cooked fries lol, don’t recommend this place if you want your money’s worth😑

The Little District in Sylvia Park was our choice last night as we waited for a movie. We decided to go with the Happy Hour special which includes a half price pizza with every drink. The four of us shared a bottle of Mt Difficulty Roaring Meg Pinot Noir, which to our shock was priced at $78 on the menu. In fairness, the price turned out to be a misprint and we paid the correct price of $59, which is still more that twice the price of a normal bottle (thats what you get I guess). They do need to let people know when they order, or correct the menu! <br/>The Madonna Pizza was quite nice and I think worth the full price, we were happy with the deal. Sadly The Godfather was very diappointing. For what is normally $24, to have a pretty bland pepperoni and cheap pre-sliced olives + a few sausage meatballs, really you get a better pizza from Pizzahut or Dominos for half the price. I know right! C'mon guys you need to beef this one up seriously! <br/>The decor is ok, the front of the restaurant and bar is kinda cool, the back tables and couch areas are quite confusing, as if the place doesn't know what it is trying to be. Our service was fine, the girl attending was very pleasant. We did overhear a couple of staff talking about not knowing how to make a pinacolada...glad it wasn't for us! All up, just ok.
Samantha Gemmell
The food here is nice don’t get me wrong but my rating has dropped down to a 2 simply because of the experience and service from this place. Staff are not attentive at all. From walking in and having a waiter just stare at you with no greeting whatsoever to sitting down and having to spend 5-10 minutes just waiving a waitress down to simply get some menus. The place was not busy at all but staff were bunched up at the bar having a chat instead of paying attention to customers. Trying to get someone to take our order was just as hard I ended up walking directly to someone and ordering on the spot. Quite disappointing as the food was not a problem but not sure if I’d be back just based on service...

Came to Sylvia Park for dinner and decided to come here after looking at all the other options.<br/><br/>Once we entered we were led to the back of the restaurant which looked like an outdoor garden area, tables in between plenty of greenery.

I loved the cauliflower bites so much, and the cocktail I got was so nice! The Parma pizza was also nice! Really great vibes and friendly people.

This place has really picked up their game with regards to food and service. Love the fried squid and garlic pizza bread. Great drinks choice too. The staff here are friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

The interior in this restaurant is very inviting. I love how there is so many house plants around. The pizza we had is ok. The woodfire stuffed mushrooms are interesting and don't mind order it again. Overall we enjoyed our dinner we would love to come back againt for drinks and some bar snacks.

I forgot to take a picture of the rest of the food, but here's a pic of the starter! The one on the right is the caramelised onion and blue cheese wood fired bread. That one was really good and pretty filling to start off the meal! It's also pretty decent at $11. The only downside of this place is that prices are a bit steep compared to the portions served. Other than that , it was a wonderful meal and the decor inside was so fresh and original. Might come back and try the pumpkin salad soon !

Don’t judge a restaurant entirely on its reviews. <br/>A friend of mine & I visited The Little District for dinner recently. Having read the reviews, we were reluctant to give it a try, but decided that we should make our own opinions on the place. <br/>We were seen to & seated promptly. Our waitress was friendly & attentive without being overbearing. The decor is gorgeous - super cute! And the tables are laid out in a way that makes you feel like you have your own space & aren’t seated on top of the tables next to you. <br/>The food was all good - we shared a pizza & some fries as we weren’t overly hungry. Being a bit of a pizza & fries snob, I had had better, but had also certainly had worse. <br/>It’s a nice place - convenient if you work/ live in the Mount Wellington area. The Little District has heaps of potential - the vibe is great, they pour a really good sized glass of wine! The food is the only thing that lets the place down slightly. But it’s not as bad as some people are making it out to be. Definitely give it a go - form your own opinion. <br/><br/>UPDATE: <br/>We went back recently and struck the new manager, Aidan, who was just wonderful. He gives the place a whole new feel.

Really cute place and nice food but the service was a bit over the top. The waitress approached our table too many times and it started to feel like we were being rushed even though the place wasn’t busy.

I had lunch special ( pizza n the drink =15 dollars ) n added cocktail . Was not bad. And i saw big pizza was served to just next table. Next time i would like to try that one.

A few girlfriends and I popped in on Saturday afternoon around 4:30. The service was really slow - took about 10 minutes to even get water after we were seated.<br/><br/>When we ordered our drinks my friend who was ordering a soft drink was given the wrong flavour. Our wine came out fine.<br/><br/>After another 15 minutes we had to wave the waitress over and after a few minutes, we were finally able to get someones attention and our orders were taken.<br/><br/>There were three servings of the cauliflower, one woodfire pumpkin salad, fries and one chicken fettucini.<br/><br/>My salad came out much later than the rest of the food and I wondered if it had been forgotten. When the staff checked back I told them that my salad was average (as it was just half a bag of undressed spinach, boiled pumpkin, a tablespoon of quinoa, onion and peppers from a jar - I held the halloumi) the waitress didn't press anymore but walked off to attend to another table.<br/><br/>Once our plates were cleared there was still at least half of the cauliflower in each of my friend's bowls as the batter was so thick it was sickening, when my friend tried to peel the batter off and eat the cauli solo there were bits of uncooked batter wedged in.I told the waitress about this and she said sorry and walked off.<br/><br/>To be honest the whole experience was a major let down. The service was slow and unattentive there really was nothing good apart from the wine. The pasta was so rich that it was hard to eat more than a few mouthfuls and the chips had no seasoning.<br/><br/>We certainly will not be returning and felt that we shouldn't have had to pay for the unedible cauliflower.<br/><br/>It's pretty to look at but that's about the only thing this place has to offer.

Took 20 mins to be told the wine I chose wasn't available. Then another ten to bring second choice. Waiters are sloppy inattentive and dont look professional. Restaurant almost empty and it took 20 mins to be served a platter with nothing cooked on it. A 'bowl' of fries for $9 was about 1/3 full and the aoli bowl took up the other two thirds. Sent this back and asked for a BOWL of fries which came back full. Wait staff need service training. On service and professionalism. Serving from correct side. Not thru the bush next to the table. Wine service more prompt. Meals to a better standard. Overall a very disappointing experience.

I went there with a friend the food is great, great atmosphere specially the waiters and waitress are so nice and friendly specially one person named Jordan.

Had dinner recently for pizza and pasta. Great taste and flavour. Ambience and staff are friendly. Will come back again for sure. They serve vegetarian options too!

I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately didn’t.<br/>The ambience is alright. Quite natural and clean looking. The seats are terribly uncomfortable and not pleasant to sit on for more than an hour.<br/>We waited about an hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive. There was a large table dining so we understood the wait. <br/>The food was awfully underwhelming to say the least. I ordered the pumpkin salad which I was really looking forward to! It came out cold. And not just slightly, it was if it had been sitting in a freezer and chucked together. The flavours were alright so I just ate it as we were all starving by this point. <br/>I went back the week after and attempted the same salad (as I wanted to give them another chance). I asked for it to be warmed, in case it was meant to be served cold. The salad turned up warmed - it had no quinoa or haloumi with it as the menu states, and our waiter didn’t return to check so I left it. <br/>All in all, really average food quality. The menu sounds so good, but the execution of it lacked attention to detail. The service was the best part of both experiences, and we had polite and attentive waitresses. <br/>The overall vibe was short of liveliness and lacklustre. I won’t be hurrying back to eat there... might return for a drink if it was the only option.

The service was okay however the wait for the food was extremely long. Food was average at best and priced quite high.

Second visit: Chicken pizza - ended up vomiting. I am not sure if it's because of the pizza or what. I was feeling fine till I went to the bathroom! Despite the situation - I still think this place is quite nice! <br/><br/>Pizzas are large - and is easily shareable between 2-4 people! <br/><br/>Their cocktails are nice and delicious! <br/><br/>Variety of nibble food which is great to share amongst friends. <br/><br/><br/>

We had an office gathering for dinner at the little district. Oh dear! If I need to review based on food alone I sadly need to probably give 2 or less. The service and atmosphere really bring the rating up. <br/><br/>There was quite a big group of us, so I get to try different dishes, pizza, pumpkin salad, entree, etc. There was about 18 of us in the table, and most (or not all) of us not finishing their main. I feel sorry to the food being put on the table. I believe if the pizza’s topping and size was reduced (feel the pizza was a bit too much/heavy). Then some ingredients changed to more fresher options, pizza could have been better. <br/><br/>By saying that, area is spacious and really good place for after work drink. Service was spot on, very polite waitress and quick though that night was quite busy. <br/><br/>The little district really have good potential given the location and the space but please food need a lot of improvement. <br/>

Went last week for dinner on a Thursday night, lovely place, really nicely decorated. The food was okay.. ordered the chicken burger and it was huge but not amazing. Service was good and the lady that served us was lovely.

Came here for my cousins birthday for dinner. She had been a few times before and enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is great, I think they have styled the restaurant very nicely. The staff were lovely and accommodating. I had the frose to drink which was awesome! For dinner I shared with my mum the lamb pizza and beetroot salad, the pizza was disappointing, there was way too much cheese on it, no flavour to lamb or kumara on top and no seasoning, totally lacked salt. The only good part about it was that the base was really good. The beetroot salad was nice, the beetroot weren't too sweet or vinegary, more feta would have been nice though but the bits that were there went really well with the beetroot and balsamic. The slight letdown with the salad was that the walnuts were missing and replaced with figs, which I hate, the texture of the walnuts would have been lovely with the salad. If the food improves here, I may come back

I've been here 3 times now and it has always been fantastic. The pizzas are awesome with a wonderful smokiness from the woodfire. The chips are moreish, as are the chicken bites. The fitout is superb with a really cool, relaxed vibe :).<br/><br/>I had tried to go a fourth time (without booking) but they were very busy and the kitchen was stretched as there was a big function next door (kitchen is shared).Staff were very good and let us know that there was a long wait time upfront, so we changed our plans and still had a good night.

Decoration + customer service + food + drinks are perfect!!! Good vibes as well. Definitely I will come back !! Keep it up guys well done 👍🏼

So so disappointed at this place. I've been twice, after the first experience I gave it another chance because I really wanted to try something of the lunch menu, unfortunately it seems to have disappeared.<br/><br/>On our first visit we chose from the breakfast menu - eggs bene, omelette and potato hash cakes. The egg dishes were average, but the hash was inedible, had a really odd spice flavour that I could not stomach, went to waste. Drinks were also just average, nothing special.<br/><br/>On our second visit I specifically visited to have the Ravioli, it was still on the menu displayed on here but not the one instore. We ended up ordering a pizza which was alright, but not worth the cost.<br/><br/>Along with the disappointing food, the customer service is a shocker. The first visit we were served by a bald male who was very very pushy, made us take our order when we weren't quite ready, rude when I asked a question because of dietary requirements and never smiled. On our second visit it was very much the same, the waiters were a bit nicer but took a while to get our orders.<br/><br/>Overall very disappointed as I expected so much more. Will probably not be returning unless they bring back the Ravioli.

Came here after 9pm last Friday. We were given the menu promptly after being seated. Then the waitress never came back to take our orders so we went and placed our order at the bar. Not sure if that was the system as we were not told and it was our first visit. We ordered two snacks, chicken pieces and squid. Portion was average. Drink prices were a bit on the high side. Nothing great about the food too, just bar food kind of presentation and certainly no service even when the place wasn’t really busy.

Really average experience in regards to food, restaurant was half full when we were told that our 45 minute wait for bread was due to the restaurant being full. Bar staff were great but the overall service from the restaurant was not. Food came out cold and steak was not cooked rare even though that was what I ordered.

I came to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my family and overall had a relatively good experience. <br/><br/>The first thing I ordered was the Frosé, which was amazing! To eat, 3 of us ordered pizzas and 1 ordered 2 "bar snacks" - 1 of which was unavailable (which we were not told until we had been waiting a while for the food). All of the food was very good! <br/><br/>The only let down of the night was the service - very poor and slow, in fact it actually stopped after we received our food. Not even a top up of water! Service was so slow that instead of looking at a dessert menu and ordering desserts, which some of us wanted to do, we got up and paid the bill.  <br/><br/>I was disappointed with this level of service, as it was my birthday (which was stated in the email) and would've expected something higher.

Family breakfast before movie - cold coffee, tea arrived, no cup and saucer to pour the tea into.  Bagel with tomato, pesto and avo - avo more like commercially produced guacamole (bad) from a jar/tube/packet.  Eggs bene with salmon - cold.  Will not be back

My apologies in advance for not having any photos! Hopefully you can use your imagination for this one. Having a shocking time in the new Sylvia Park eatery and this is another to add to the list! <br/><br/>We rushed out way to Little District before noon, because the eggs benny looked great and we wanted to make it for breakfast. We arrived at 11:15am and were told that breakfast wasn’t being served anymore because the new manager said so. Mmm ok? We ended up demanding (lol) bagels off the breakfast menu. The salmon, cream cheese & capers bagel and the grilled field mushrooms and rocket bagel. <br/><br/>Coffees were fine. Nothing to write home about but no complaints either. Kudos team. <br/><br/>Bagels were not fine. You know there are too many capers when you can’t taste the smoked salmon. Seriously, I couldn’t taste it! The whole thing made my mouth taste like vinegar due to the crazy amount of capers. I couldn’t remove them either as they were embedded in the cream cheese :(. The mushroom bagel must have been a joke. I kept looking over my shoulder to see if anyone was laughing at us for actually attempting to eat it. It was a dry bagel, a handful of dry rocket leaves and THREE small grilled field mushrooms. I mean I know that’s what the menu said but please, no one wants to eat that. <br/><br/>Service was good. It was fairly obvious the waitresses were not impressed with said new manager. The food and coffee came out quick and they were all friendly enough. <br/><br/>Wont be back, sorry! <br/><br/>

Cannot fault Little District! The service was so efficient and the lady serving us was more professional and polite than any other restaurants I've been to. <br/><br/>The food I would give 9/10. I ordered the fish and chips which was a huge serving and the fish was perfect. It was served with salad which I enjoyed as well. The only thing was that the chips weren't cooked as long as I would of liked- they weren't too golden or crunchy. My friend ordered one of the pizzas which looked delicious too. We both ordered the Froze's to drink which were delicious and perfect on a hot summers day! <br/><br/>I love the decor here, it's so modern and such a nice/spacious restaurant to sit in. Prices are good considering the portions are very generous. Definitely think this will become a regular 😊👍<br/><br/>*EDIT: Came here again on Monday, and staff were so unfriendly! Compared to the awesome professional service we got on our first time, this was super below average and the restaurant wasn't even busy. My rating was previously a 5 but it's now a 4. A little disappointed.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon for drink and nibbles. Ordered a beer and wifey had the Bali high cocktail. Snacked on the Crispy cauliflower bites and crispy fried boneless chicken. The cauliflower snacks were excellent however the crispy chicken were unevenly battered and not drained off sufficiently, the drinks were fine and the service was attentive. I think the target audience here is after work drinkies crowd? Will try again later when it's running like a well oiled machine

The only saving grace of this place was its drinks! Great frozè, and cocktail selection. That’s where the greatness stopped. We waited over an hour for our food before the waitress even approached us to apologise about the long wait. Then waited another 20 minutes before the food arrived. Then when it arrived things just got worse, pizza was undercooked, bland and rushed. Garlic bread was actually a cheese bread with an overly lemon seasoned hummus. Overall would definitely not come back here again.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place, so I was hesitant to try it out. However, since it’s new and looked super cute in photos, I’ve decided to visit and form my own opinions :)<br/><br/>This place was absolutely GORGEOUS in person, with lots of greenery and a relaxed vibe. The photos do not do it justice!<br/><br/>I also loved the concept having a cafe, a bar, and a restaurant all in one. Very convenient and accommodates to everyone’s needs :)<br/><br/>Food came really quickly, and the staffs were most friendly and attentive. <br/><br/>The prices of mains were what you would expect to pay at most Italian restaurants, however, the serving sizes were huge that we had to ask to take away. The pizzas were decent, with lots of toppings. They were the thin and crispy type, so perfect if you were a lover of wood-fire pizzas. The chicken pasta was also cheesy and flavourful. However, the standout dishes were the sides: the fried boneless chicken had s nice kick to it and went really well with the creamy dipping sauce. The ‘blue bread’ was everyone’s favorite, with plenty of blue cheese and caramelised onions. It was the same size as the pizzas, and at just half of the price, it was definitely the most value for the money.<br/><br/>For desserts, at only $12 each the portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was lovely. However, what impressed me most was the flavours. The chocolate delice was incredibly smooth and creamy, with a nice bitter chocolate flavour, which was perfectly complimented by the tartness of the berry purée and the sweetness of the custard. My friend found the sticky date pudding slightly too sweet, but in my humble opinion it was sweet and the most pleasant way, with a deep richness from the toffee sauce.<br/><br/>All in all, from my two visits, I have nothing but good things to say about this place :)

The service here was exceptionally good and the atmosphere was great. The layout here is so nice too.<br/>The food however was average. Ordered the chicken fettuccine and the diavola pizza. Pizza was tasty but the fettuccine was lacking in flavour :(<br/>

Recently went here with a rather large group of 10 so we where understandably  expecting a delay with service, the rest of the restaurant was relatively empty (maybe 2-3 other tables). The service at the bar was fast and friendly along with our waitress. The biggest issue was with the wait time with the kitchen! We ordered our food and it wasn't until at least 30 minutes later that someone came to inform us that some of the food we'd ordered was not available that evening (which was one of the few vegetarian meals). When explaining these dietary restrictions we where not offered any ways around this. Just asked to order something else off the menu. Another person at the table asked if it was okay to modify their order which was soon responded with a no as they had new kitchen staff working that evening. The waitress was incredibly kind and did her best to help us out with the situation. After being advised of further delays we where offered a couple of free entrees to make up for this, along with the previous entrees that we'd ordered being taken care of. The staff where doing their best to make up for the miss haps in the kitchen. Would potentially give it a go once they've been established for a while just because the wait staff where so kind.

Service was very below average. The restaurant was not busy at all (4 tables of people total). We had to go to the bar to ask to order drinks. They then took about 15 minutes to arrive. Lunch took about 35 mins from ordering (there was only two of us) and we ordered salads. Food was nice, naked fries with aioli were good. Had to ask for water for the table, again took ages and the staff member didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I would try other places at Sylvia Park before I rushed back here as I hate poor service.

Food 2/5<br/>The good: decent portion size for the price, the pizzas were not bad. <br/>Not so good: the burgers were really dry and bland. The chips tasted like they were store-bought... overall the meal left us very thirsty as the buns were so dry. Many of the items on the menu were not available so we could only really choose from pizzas/burgers/pasta<br/><br/>Ambience 4/5<br/>Nice and stylish, on trend industrial type setting with lots of greenery. The wooden chairs weren’t very comfortable though as they did not have backing<br/><br/>Service 2/5<br/>Service was VERY slow. We also had to keep asking the waiter to give us things, e.g. we only had 6 sets of cutlery for 8 people, and only 4 water glasses. We had to repeatedly ask for the waiter for water. We waited around 30 mins for the food to arrive.

Great little spot in the new area of Sylvia Park. Lots of seating options. Varied menu from breakfast until late including cabinet food & menu items.<br/>Service was friendly & efficient. Coffee well made

Had the most tastiest woodfired pizza here, and also ordered some naked fries served with a yummy aioli sauce :). The prices I believe are very fair and the dining vibe was chilled and cool with lovely staff. Will definitely be heading back!
