This place is my one and only go to fish & chip shop for all my seafood desires. Fish is always fresh and very well cooked and the chips are done as they should be. Do try the fried bread as well as the takakau when on offer and if youre feeling adventurous or love kaimoana (seafood) then buy yourself some mussels, crab, oysters, rawfish and my favorite kina! Excellent value for money and a well deserved treat. Much respect to Tobys Seafood staff for the smiling friendly service.

Toby's Glen Eden is good value . for $6 you get a good portion of fish and chips . the staff are friendly and polite . Nice fresh fish selection as well

I got tired of cooking so drcided on fish n chips for dinner that night.
Not many 'good' fish n chip shops around locally. Toby's were open and are very friendly and welcoming, so I ordered some gurnard and chips. Enjoyed them at home, washed down with a cup of tea.

This is our go to for mussels, raw fish, fish n chips but especially the Māori hinu (fried bread). Highly recommend Toby's.

Very hit or miss... but mostly miss. Standard has dropped over time so stopped coming here. Although they do rather inexpensive meals and combos which is good for big families

I had takeaway lunch from here yesterday, wasn’t that happy at all , got the seafood basket with two extra scallops and a raw fish with fry bread , my fish tasted funny like it was not fresh , the scallops were chewy and over cooked , chips were ok , crab sticks were nice, mussels over cooked and who ever cooked them didn’t batter the scallops and mussels right , fry bread always good and the raw fish wasn’t good 2/10 the coconut cream was watered down or mixed with cream was so bland!! They could learn a few or two from the otahuhu branch thanks..

Love the tobys in Otahuhu so thought id try the tobys in Glen Eden. Every time I come here they stuff my order up somehow 🙄 quite a few times we've ordered mussels in the tub or raw fish and when me or my partner collect our order they tend to think they gave it to us before and think we're just hoping to score another one for "free" zzzz. you'd think the fish from here would be yum but nope. Ordered the fish and it had a bone in it, didnt taste nice at all. The batter was doughy. Only good thing about this place is the chips and squid rings (they are to die for) lol. I usually love coming to tobys esp to the one in massey or otahuhu. But glen eden 👎

I found that if you eat thete you get the nice fresh fish but if you get takeaway you get home to find you have a grayish, mooshy not so pleasant fish.. well bever get takeaway from toby Glen Eden again! The sprimp cocktail consists of 5 shrimp n 97% tomato sauce...

I had the $5 hamburger Chips and drink the burger was very nice and fresh came with plenty chips I enjoyed it so much I refused to take my sister home until she went and got one to its nice to have a nice meal for a nice price not everyone is rich and this takeaway makes a difference to the pocket for people who can't always afford things like this . nice job guys I'll be back for sure

Food is really greasy for fried food<br/>Potato fritters were super small so they gave us an extra 1 which was nice<br/>Staff are alright always attentive at the counter but seem to be forgetful<br/>My order was missing a mussel and a crabstick but I didn't notice till I was home<br/>

Best fried bread in town! Not the best fish and chips Ive had however the fish is definitely fresh and they serve great quality food. They have a range of takeaway items and also fresh raw seafood.

I went into Tobys Glen Eden yesterday for lunch and I've eaten here a few times before. Prior to the meal, I didn't have a good experience with the raw fish. The fish wasn't fresh and the juice was extremely over salted. So when I went into Tobys I'd have to make sure to ask for a fresh raw fish this time. Upon asking, I received a very unwelcoming reply from the Manager. I felt she didn't satisfy my needs as a customer and her attitude was unprofessional. All up the food was decent and the other staff was friendly & professional. Raw Fish=1/10, Customer Service 1/10, Food 4.5/10. I wouldn't recommend the Glen Eden Tobys to family/friends.

The seafood is always fresh. I love being able to buy fresh quality seafood to take home and cook myself or grab a takeaway meal from here. Their fried bread is so fluffy and delicious too.
