Review Revolver - Auckland

Been meaning to try the place since it opened as they have hoppers, a Sri Lankan filled pancake. They have a range of different flavours to choose from which seems to change depending on popularity. although fairly small they do have a bit of seating, including an upstairs area above the kitchen. They also had other goodies in the cabinet by the counter. I tried the mushroom mallung. The spices were quite tasty and there was cauliflower under the egg and mushrooms. I was expecting the hopper to be a bit crispier but I had it takeaway so didn't have it piping hot. The filling was really flavoursome and quite nice. I would be quite keen to try the other ones.

This place offers delicious dishes, including vegan options! The interior looks very cozy. The staff is friendly as well. A perfect place to go for meetings with friends/co-workers or with your partner.

Fantastic cafe with delicious food, best scrambled eggs ever as they have flavour and a difference. Great coffee as well, nice setting in the old arcade

Simple cafe near the middle of St Kevin's Arcade serving various "hoppers" (?) which sounded like primarily breakfast/brunch plates. I didn't see a specific drinks menu board up other than their food so being a little unsure what drinks they had without awkwardly asking is the only unfortunate part of this experience. I grabbed a nice lemonade can out of the cooler instead and they were really nice offering a glass with ice for it.

The coolest little city in the world has an Auckland outpost. Revolver Cafe is brilliant. Havana coffee, Sri Lanka inspired street food, Cuba St atmosphere in Auckland's fabulous St Kevins Arcade. Favourite dish? An egg hopper, a bowl shaped pancake with a fried egg. Fantastic.

This spot specializes in Sri Lankan style hoppers (the anglicized version of appam) - basically like a dosa, but made into a bowl with veges, grated coconut, dried curry leaves, and egg inside. Very tasty and a cheap-ish meal for vegetarians. Highly recommended!

Stumbled across this place today. The food was light, tasty, very delicious. It also helped that the young guy behind the counter was so friendly and helpful in regard to the food. We will definitely be back.

We came looking for a coffee and a pastry, and we got possibly the best breakfast bun we've ever eaten. Great coffee too and lovely friendly staff
