The food was delicious, well priced and well presented. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday morning brunch.

Oh my goodness, amazing. Lovely spot with delicious food, nice staff and was very quick to get our two breakfasts. Had the Mushrooms on Toast and it was so so good. Nice presentation and interior. Will absolutely come again and recommend to family and friends. 👌

Coffee and the savoury toast I had were good, hadn't expected it to be several slices. The staff were good and pleasant. It's quite noisy because of the fact there's not much absorbing the sound with concrete surroundings and a high ceiling. Especially so with a group that's quite chatty. The food was a bit slow in coming but there were 9 in our group.

Very nice upmarket Cafe Bistro, beautiful mix of earthy, rustic and industrial look, with comfort of couches on one side and modern sitting on the other side. I am amazing at how chef is able to get create so many new good quality dishes consistently and to top it all all breads are baked in house... Oh the smell of fresh bread and coffee make me "Hug the Mug"

Went for puppy training and saw Hugs & Mugs across the road. Glad that I took the chance.... Discovered lovely staffs in the cafe and excellent smoked salmon egg benedict in town. The hollandaise sauce is very creamy and light. Smoked salmon were in generous portion size. Coffee is great. So great to see people who loves what they are doing. Kudos for the owner. Highly recommended.

Fresh, open, spacious cafe. Comfy sofas as well as a variety of seating options at tables in the sun or shade. Great latte, excellent playlist in the background. Definitely try this one, my new favourite for Sunday morning coffee ;-)

Since opening, Hugs & Mugs has only gotten better - I don't think they get enough love. It's clean, pretty and stocked with the usual cafe classics. Their hospitality is on point and they make a point of recognising returning customers too. Definitely worth a brunch or coffee break.

This has become my regular spot. Nice, clean design, well lit, spacious but cosy. The menu hits all the right spots, classic brunch dishes etc, all well executed. Great friendly service. What's not to like

Went here for brunch a few months ago. Delicious food and good size portions. Bright, modern decor and good ambience. Is right on Great North Rd so not really any good outdoor seating options.

I loved the decor, very cozy and comfortable! The staff and the owners were very accommodating. The food was really hot and tasted great. Wanted the rosti crispy and it was just amazing. The juice was fresh with not too much ice and the hotchoc was perfect. I would highly recommend this place!

Stopped by for breakfast after spotting it on our way into town. This cool corner cafe gets lots of natural light, has a range of seating options to accommodate larger groups - the service is sharp, they have an open kitchen in full view of the customers - the food is hearty although I feel the prices don't reflect its servings accurately however the overall quality of the establishment certainly appeals to it's surrounding residents bordering Grey Lynn. 4☆

Used our Zomato Gold to have lunch here today and we had an amazing experience. We had french toast and creamy fungi - both were really good quality and yummy. Service was excellent. Our first time visiting but the lady who served us made us feel like we’re regulars! Would definitely recommend this cafe :)

Nice new café on main road. Handy location at the top of grey Lynn underneath a new apartment complex. The menu has a lot of options, mainly brunch and lunch. The meals were tasty - everything was cooked well, the eggs were runny, etc.<br/>We had an eggs Benedict, mushrooms on toast, chicken burger, smashed avo and eggs on toast, all were pleasant.<br/>Nice, bright and modern interior.<br/>Box of toys for the kids.

I've been here twice, once with the old menu and once with the new. I'm so glad they took on board customers feedback and decided to change the menu, its fantastic now! Fresh, quality ingredients and delicious choices that won't break the bank. Great coffee, friendly staff, cute cafe. This will become a regular spot for me now. They're doing an awesome job, keep it up :-)

We had the hugs and mugs breakfast and savoury french toast. Both were tasty and really filling, I couldn't even finish the French toast. Coffee was good, particularly the cold nitro coffee. Nice service. Would recommend and go again.

Zomato gold loving it. Went here on Sunday morning after work, the place was quiet at first then it picked up as the morning went. We sat in our nice tall table but my hubbys chair was wonky. Anyways we ordered hot chocolate and a mocha. Hubby went to tell the young lady making it to make it extra hot but when it came out to us, both were hot but not hot hot like we asked so when food came out my hot chocolate was cold. The owner there did come and say if we werent happy with the coffee and hot chocolate to tell her As the girl was training but i dont know what hot means to ppl so we just left it. The owner however was very nice and her waiters also very welcoming. <br/>I ordered the big breakfast and hubby ordered his french toast. Both came out beautifully presented and I LOVE MY BACON CRISPY LIKE THAT! We both did. The sausages to the eggs to the toast and tomatoes all went well together and was delicious. Hubbys french toast he devoured in 5mins. Both meals were perfect. Will return again. Thank you.

Lovely cafe. We had the Eggs Bene with Bacon and the Beef Burger. Both were beautifully cooked, full of flavour and we didn’t have to wait long. Staff were friendly and attentive. Coffee was amazing. Nothing I can fault.

We came here for lunch. I highly recommend the chicken burger - it was delicious. My partner had the eggs Benedict which was also nice, although the eggs weren’t very runny which we prefer. The smoothie was nice, although a little icey. The service was excellent, the staff were polite and attentive - the owner also asked us how our meal was going. The ambience is very pleasant, the fitout has been done to a high standard. Overall we would return here if we were in the area but probably wouldn’t make a special trip here.

We were in the area and decided to pop in for brunch as they had zomato gold. Easy parking on a residential street. Cosy space. Wasn’t very busy at 1.30pm but that meant good service and short wait time for our food. Meal was tasty and portion size was good. My Benedict was very filling. Great deal with zomato gold and would return.

This is starting to become one of our regulars because the staff are so friendly, the service is quick, the coffee is great & the food is excellent as well as good value for money. What's not to like?

I ordered a medium mocha but it came in a size smaller than my husband’s long black.<br/><br/>I ordered the egg Benedict with salmon. For $21.50 it is lack of flavour(I had to add heaps of pepper to it) and the size of the muffins was tiny. The poached eggs had so much water in it that it made the muffins soggy instantly. The waitresses was really nice to replace my order and gave me another coffee on the house. My husband’s deluxe beef burger was a disappointment as the beef patty was so tiny and not worth $21 for it. This place would need to up their game in order to gain returning customers.
