Review Better Burger - Auckland

OK. Burger could have been better (ironically). Great service and food was made promptly. I had the vege burger combo and my wife had the cheeseburger. Both of us thought the burger lacked something as was lacking in taste, but was still nice enough. The fries were very tasty and a decent portion. Enjoy and good luck x

Awesome service from ordering to delivery. Staff were very friendly and took my order prompty. Food was made quickly and everything tasted amazing and fresh. Milkshakes are classic milky goodness and highly recommended. #bestburger #burgers #yum #fastfood

Fast and friendly service during a Sunday afternoon. But the portions of fries seem smaller than they used to be and the wrap for the burgers seemed to be made of paper because the burger juices just soaked into it and disintegrated leaving you with a real mess in your hands. Burgers were tasty, if you've had one before it's much the same but in a good way.

Great takeaway burgers, have discovered their superstar burger which is not on the menu and will now become my norm - it's a mix of their cheeseburger and mushroom burger!

The older guy in front who was serving us was unbelievable. Great gesture great knowledge of products as our family had quite a few allergy issues but he was very patient and was easy and accommodating. Seemed like the owner. He was one of the best person we have seen in hospitality. Restaurant is clean food was delicious. Waited about 5 mints but worth it. Will be back soon.

Love this place! My first time at this store from the chain and wasn't dissapointed. Chips were hot and crispy, well salted. And burger was amazing! I had the double cheeseburger. Not a long wait for the food either despite all the uber eats orders coming through the store. Parking here is alright depending on the times you get here. Hard to miss this place as it def stands out on the corner. Will be back.

In the old ASB building. Based on 2 visits I love this place! Sort of modern take on a retro burger joint. Short menu and some items not on menu like Epic Fries, see my photo. These are fries covered in what I think is "Secret Sauce" and mustard sauce and caramelized onion and are yum if a little decadent. Large size is ample for 2 to share (we did). On first visit we saw someone else getting them so we asked for the same, not sure what else may be available and not on actual menu???? Was always clean when we visited and I always ask for burger patties to be well done anyhow and they were. Fries are made from potatoes cut up as needed, see the website for details of other fresh ingredients, proof is in the eating :-)

Better burger is the spot for the best value burgers in town. Double cheese combo with the upsized chips for $14, can u beat that? Didn't think so. Best fast food chips in NZ. This location has the chillest staff as well.

Best fries in Auckland!! Super fast and friendly service. Burger was delicious and I the fact you can exchange the bun for a lettuce wrap. Would recommend you try them out for sure.

I have it the second try at Mt Eden. The service here was much better than another branch at Sylvia park. However, the food makes me disappointed again. I ordered the mushroom burger and the mushroom patty was like a sloppy scouring pad. 🤣 Won't come back again. Bye.

Everything is wet and soggy here. The beef patty is dry and hard. I spat out half the burger. The fries are soggy not crispy too even tho they just came out of the fryer. <br/><br/>Big disappointment. I’ve been going to the same establishment every Sunday for a year and a half now. The manager and team that were there before were lovely and seemed to personify what customer service should be. <br/><br/>About 4 months ago there was a change in manager and with it a lot of the team resigned. I should have taken notice because the service dropped. There was often times where they would be shutting down early even though the website advertising they close late on Sunday (never stayed past 9). They would try usher us out by cleaning tables around us, smoke in front of store and not really make an effort. <br/><br/>Today was the last time I go to this Better Burger as they clearly didn’t seem to care to create a good customer experience and ultimately seemed like they didn’t want my group there. The food wasn’t worth the stay.

Burger was ok! Chips really good, crispy but soft inside, the shake was a little disappointing- was too watery. The staffs were really friendly tho

I am a frequenter of Better Burger in the CBD so thought to give Mt Eden a go on a Monday evening. Ordered the double cheeseburger combo.<br/><br/>The burger was good as always.<br/><br/>The fries while cooked perfectly were way too salty and sadly ruined because of this.<br/><br/>Coke was warm, tasted flat and not served with ice. Probably the worst coke that I've drank.<br/><br/>Pretty disappointing experience, I won't be returning here.

This place was not very busy on a Saturday night. My mushroom burger was ok, it was a bit salty for my liking. Better Burger in Britomart seems to have a slightly better taste.<br/><br/>

Pretty basic and surprised this opened right opposite an already established burger joint.  My partner ordered a burger and large fries, I was having something else but said perhaps we could share the fries.  Well, after waiting forever we got home (not very far) with stone cold food, apparently the burger was 'OK' but the 'fries' were something else, not even whole pieces of potato they looked like the scrapings of the barrel, tiny tiny bits, they were greasy and soggy and the 'large' portion was miniscule.  Not at all enjoyable and quite obviously we won't be going back no matter how hungry we are.

Mushroom patty was so yum and rich in the nice mushroom flavour and it wasn’t dry. Bun and veggies were all fresh. Handcut fries were very oily but very fresh and crispy. Tomato sauce was free and you can get the amount you want from the side. <br/>This branch has been here for a while but I always just walked pass. A bit surprised that it was quite spacious.

Meal took more than 20 minutes, and they forgotten the loaded part of the burger. They did remake the burger, and the girl that did it was apologetic.<br/>They need more staff, or more efficiency with that particular store.<br/>The store falls short in service and food quality compared to the Vulcan Lane or the Sylvia Park one.

Really busy! But hurray! A branch out of the main city. Big fan of better burger, make decent sized, affordable, satisfying, delicious, tasty burgers. Big fan of the mushroom burger. Very well made burgers with fresh ingredients, none of that wilted lettuce or that skimpy discoloured tomato. The presentation is always gram worthy too. Amazing burgers really, and for a good price.

Patty was extremely fresh. Burger bun was toasted to perfection. Fries were crispy. Potatoes were hand cut. Today I tried out the mushroom burger. The mushroom Patty was real delicious. Never thought a vegan burger would taste this good. Strongly recommend others try it.

Food was good but need a bigger seating area! Not kid friendly and the high tables and chairs were just uncomfortable. The food was fresh though. Milkshake was yum!

Uber Eats order on Sunday afternoon. Not great. Assembly of the burger was way off - everything was falling apart. Beef was dry and chewy (compared to the CBD locations). Fries were cold. Soda that I ordered came in the incorrect flavour. Such a shame as BB has always been a go to. Won't ever be ordering from the Mt Eden branch again. Do not recommend at all.

I’ve had better burger multiple times and have always enjoyed it but last week after having it for the first time in a while, the classic cheese burger wasn’t as good as I remembered. It was a bit flavour-less and bland - I think it needed more sauce. However, better burger does some of the best fresh fries!!!! Will go back and perhaps get the crumbed mushroom next time as I remember that being yummy too!

Seriously average burgers. They just taste sour. Mine leaked liquid all over my pants. The seats are too tall, just a really below average time here.

Double cheese and fries with the special sauce all over them. Better Burger is hands down the best burger for the price you can get in Auckland. Even with the dollar increase in price since it opened it still just makes sense. Never change BB!

Well presented as usual. The burgers are juicy and tasty. The fries are crispy and nicely fried. <br/><br/>Nice seating area and the staff were friendly. Service was relatively quick.

Just such an average burger for what it should be. Prime location in Mount Eden but I get a burger that lacks any real taste and service that we just as limp as an old potato. <br/><br/>You want to join Mount Eden then step up your game. We don't want average fast food here.

The choice is very limited and the cheese burger was very average. The staff are nice and friendly. If you want a good burger in Mt Eden go down the road to Burger Wisconsin.

Can't fault anything with the Mt Eden store. Excellent service and amazing food!!! Burgers are good size, generous chips and very good value.

Better Burger 👌🏾 Ordered about 10 burgers from the mount Eden store last week for a shared lunch at work. Waited about 7 minutes for my order and they even cut it in half for me. It was delicious and was gone within minutes, everyone loved it. Went there again for a sneaky burger before dinner and by far the best burger I’ve had in awhile, the patties were cooked just right the buns were soft!!! Definitely be back for some more sneaky doubles 😋

Came here tonight for the first time. We ordered a cheese burger combo and a double cheese burger combo with bacon and loaded fries. The food was pretty crap, it was over cooked and dry and the oil or something needed to be changed for the fries. They need more seating and staff need to change their gloves more often. Probably would have been more satisfied with McDonalds! Would I return, most probably not! Sozzzzz!!

First time trying better burger, and thought I would seeing as this had just opened near my uni. <br/>I ordered a cheeseburger combo (fries & drink). <br/>The buns of the cheeseburger were burnt, the burger was dry and needed more sauce. The chips were great, but too much salt though. <br/>Their secret sauce is weird but I kept eating it anyway lol. Clean interior and good service. <br/>Overall, slightly disappointed as it didn't live up to the advertised hype. Would perhaps try a different location

Much improved since opening, chips were crispy and burgers were cooked well. I ordered through uber eats and food was at my door within 15mins.

Cheeseburger is the bomb! Love it! People are queuing for their burgers. My fave burger so far with their special sauce, its addicting. 😜🍔
